Yes to this! I really cannot stand those snobbish people.

In the preview for tomorrow episodes, it looks like both the grandma and Min Gi mom are against eachother and the grandma seems want to wash her hands by saying that she only did what Park said to her. But I really hope that Joon Hyuk will be able to trick both devil and deliver their undue punishment.

  2. I thought Min Gi mom won't appear anymore, but noo she was the master mind behind the grandma action to be Ji Hoo legal guardian. Seriously that grandma is really a worst person. Can't she just praise Ji Hoo even only for a little? He sacrificed so much to gain and reach the title she wants him to have. Tsk tsk.

I really hope for the remaining 4 episodes we will get satisfactory punishment for the evils and egoistic people..

@ktcjdrama Oh dear, it does really look like we're the only ones watching

I am watching the series as well, but just not really active on forum to comment. I thought there's no thread available for it until I scan through few pages. Are you and @ktcjdrama still watching the series?

  3. @SilverMoonTea I just saw the teaser just now on timeline.. It looks like they will have a bigger mart to handle and with a real cashier machine.. I wonder if they will get baffled again or after a while they will soon get used to it?

It looks like we will get another winter scenery with them. Featuring cute white dog as well :wow:

I read somewhere the first few guests for this season are Kim Woo Bin and Lee Kwang Soo.

Anyway will we spend this season with the two of us again?  I hope you won't go missing in the middle hahaha

@abs-oluteM's 2022 resolution kind of inspiring me to open this thread. How about we study together to improve our knowledge to 4 languages that I put in tag

Such an admirable resolution that both @abs-oluteM and you have. I too wish to learn and improve my ability in some languages, but usually this kind of wish, is just a mere wish and by the end of year is coming near, I didn't make any improvement as of yet :psweatduck: (*cough* buried my past 2021 resolution deep inside *cough*)

Some background about my language ability for the 4 languages that was mentioned.

Like @SilverMoonTea, English isn't my first language either. I came across to learn the language when my brothers were playing some songs at home when I was still in the kindergarten and probably from the Disney movie inside a CD that my mother bought for me. I think.. I just started to learn about it formally and properly when my mom enrolled me to an English course in the neighborhood which was the same course that my brothers also took. I remembered that at first I hated the idea to learn it, because well, it would cut off my time to play or watching cartoons at that time. :pandaheadstomp: However because I started to have some interest in the games that my brothers played and I wanted to play the game as well but don't understand the language enough to play it, I accepted the offer and sit through the lesson.

Between the extra lesson from English Course and the lesson at school, I think I have learned English in passively quite well. But because I rarely used the active English like speaking skills in my daily life, my ability in speaking is probably not in the same league that my passive ability. Moreover, outside those English lesson time, I don't think I used English at all, at one time my writing skills wasn't as good as it used to be. I guess the drilled I got during the lesson about how to make a proper sentence in a proper grammar structure stopped me in creating or forming something just because I wasn't sure whether the sentence I made is properly correct or not. It's not until I gathered my courage to join an international forum community and try to communicate as best as I can within my limited capability that I have become more relaxed in writing in English. Until now, I'm sure I'm still make mistakes here and there, but I hope I can convey my feelings and meaning for the people to understand and we can communicate well.

I only learned Chinese for a little bit during high school because it was part of the curriculum. For those 3 years, I think I learned the basic and quite okay during the quizzes, but the moment I graduate, those lesson suddenly also graduated from my mind at the same time.

Until now I think I still could recognize the Chinese letters, but I don't know how to read it properly or how to write it in the right sequence or strokes. It just so difficult in learning it because with a wrong tone or even strokes it would have a different meaning.

For Japanese, I only familiar with several words thanks to the years I spent in my youth for liking manga and anime. I mostly watched anime that already got dubbed into English. But when I got introduced to internet and want to search for newest videos about the anime I was invested in, there's only English sub available. So it was pretty much like killing two birds with one stone. I watched one videos and learned 2 languages at the same time, although in the end I only gained more knowledge in English and just familiar with little words in Japanese. :P

Lastly for Korean, it was thanks to Family Outing, the first Korean variety show that made me learned the language. I was watching the shows with English sub, but sometimes there were parts that weren't translated by the subbers. At first I didn't mind because between watching the shows, looking at the casts expression, reading the subtitles and translating it inside my mind already took a lot in the space of my mind. However when I re-watched those parts without the subtitles, I became curious and started to learn the language little by little. Firstly with the alphabets and I started to learn about reading the words and its meaning in English. While watching the shows I also started my journey as a fan of kpop world where it was such a difficult era to find a proper translations for the video of my favorite idols back then and I started to learn the words by myself. It's not good enough to understand the whole sentence, but at least I could form the gist of what they were talking and enjoy it.

I took a short formal course in learning Korean when I got the chance during my university days. I learned to form basic sentences. It's not that easy because the sentence structures is quite different with English sentence structure so I was struggling a lot at first. But after few practices and tried to apply the lesson while watching dramas and shows, it got a lot better.

Soo.. basically my language journeys started because the influence from my brothers and the interest I have for the language itself. I wouldn't dare to stay that I'm fluent in English, but I think I'm pretty good to at least communicate with it for daily conversation. I do understand Korean a little bit and can give a rough translation for it, but with a help of dictionary and done with some guessing for some parts.

If you need any help or partner in learning Korean, I'd be glad to help and let's learn the language together :)

Yes @LaLa has told me how she learned Korean before...maybe she can give more tips.

Hi hi~ Because I used to interact with you both on twitter I forgot to log in here as well and only now I saw your mention. :)

Well I don't know if I can give any useful tips to you because it's not like I'm already fluent in it either. Hmm maybe it will be easier if you recognize the letter like the vocal and consonants first? Because that was the first thing I learned by myself. I tried to make myself familiar with it and with how it mixed to form a word and later sentences. After I got familiar with the Korean alphabets, I started to read the hangul for familiar terms that we always hear it at least in drama, or in my case inside a song or variety shows. It takes a lot of time but be familiar, but because we almost encounter the Korean word and sentence almost every time we watch the dramas or variety shows, I believe it will be a lot of help :)

Although it's already pretty late, I wished everyone for a happy new year. Hopefully 2022 will be a better year than 2022. I don't know if I dare to have a resolution or plans for the year because for the past years it didn't go smoothly, either because of myself or other variable things. My simple wish for now is that for the pandemic to end as soon as possible. :duckpout:

  6. Hey hey just got a little time to check in. For the past days I have posted my answers for the bingo clue on discord. Today my work was done earlier than I expected, so I got some time to visit. I'll copy my previous answers for those who still need it for their revision and for the new clue today.

    1. On 25th I did eat one meal together with my mom
    2. This morning on 26th, I woke up before 8 (I think around 7.30, more or less)
    3. I don't drink coffee
    4. 2021 dramas that I have completed.. hmmm it's quite many.. tag me more for those who need to cross my name for this clue. Tell me what you completed and from that list I will tell you which one that I have completely watched.

    5. I don't think I dreamed anything on 26th.  I immediately slept the moment I touched my head and the first thing I remembered I did after closing my eyes were turning off my alarm in the morning.. Monday again

    6. Beach or mountain are a quite hard question for me.. I like beach because of the vast view and the sound of the waves and sea water sometimes calm me down, but at the same time mountain also bring this kind of peace and calm.. however.. at this kind of point, I think I'll choose mountain over beach. Need greens to sooth my eyes after staring at pc and monitor for a long time every day grinning

    7. I guess so? Never pointedly asked what others think about me for the past years.. but I think when I was at school and uni, where you needed to say something nice, mostly they say I'm kind

    8. Posted something on 28th of any month and year? 28th October count yes?

    9. The post doesn't have to be related with answer number 8 right? The only thing I can remember I received reactions quite a lot during my introduction post on haven when I just recently joined..

You can check others too over there

    10. Unfortunately I am not that rich to use all of the 5..

    11. Sorry I'm right handed. But I can eat with my left hand if it's needed (when I have to work something with my right hand at the same time. I also shared before I can use chopsticks with my left hand, although not for a long time)

    12. Nope. So far have nothing special on 29th

    13. Favourite ahjussi / ahjumma? Hmm maybe for the actors and actresses that I'd look forward for their upcoming works. Is it okay? And since @SnowBlobsaid the category is at least 15 years older.. hmm quite hard.. tag me about your list and maybe I'll let you know if your fav are in my list as well

Some of the ahjussi : Cha Seung Won ( I actually watch him more on variety than drama lol), Lee Sun Kyun (gosh his voice), Ji Sung, So Ji Sub, etc

Some of the ahjumma: Kim Mi Kyung, Kim Hae Sook, Ha Ji Won, Jang Na Ra (gosh these two already in their 40s??), etc

  7. @abs-oluteM I just found the time to binge the last 2 episodes today.. almost 10 days since the last episodes of season 1 aired and only now I had the time to catch up. And boy I'm going to miss this show so much. With the craziness of the girls when they're drunk but also their tight friendship and warm support they give for each other.

The definition of friends and best friend forever that I have always found in fiction can be found in here. And as I said before in my previous post, having a friendship like these three are something that I wished to have... Well probably minus the alcoholic part because I don't think my stomach and liver can stand those booze lol. How I wished we could get more back story for each girl and their development because their arcs have so much potential to be developed for a deep story, but I guess the short and tight airing time, might be a good way to just show the important part of the stories.

And while I also agree that it such a pity that it didn't get the recognition from the international viewers because the restrictions and unavailability for the international broadcast, in some way I kind of feel relief. If they aired this in public channel, they need to edit so much of the scenes and it might make the drama lose some of their unique colours. Since the main target are the K audience and it got the hot response, I guess the casts and production team reached their target. International viewers might not understand or relate with the drinking habits that the girls have. I'm just happy that I can watch it through the dark sites and still can enjoy it. Tving really just exclusively target the SK audience for now, which made it difficult to access many goodies over there.

I hope all the main casts and supporting casts especially the potential lover will accept the offer for season 2, and we can continue the story from the last scene, about the Christmas date. I am so excited to see Ji Goo and Mr Nice paper guy who's played by Yoon Shi Yoon hahaha.. thanks for accompanying me and opening this thread @abs-oluteM hopefully we'll see each other soon and talking about work later drink now season 2 soon!

  8. @Tofu Although I don't want to speculate because we still have 2 more episodes before the finale, I guess there's a big chance for @SilverMoonTeato finish this drama? Based on her reactions being sad about the cancelation last week and even finding out about the creepy doll being sold, which I wouldn't know if she didn't tell me lol

@ktcjdrama I really want to know more about Santa backstory.. He's not mute and can speak, however he chose to not speak out when he's with team B. And about his obsessions with Kyung Yi, in ep 9 it got more interesting when he thought that Kyung Yi has gone missing. He's sending a prayer to someone (while holding a black hoodie / clothes) that he couldn't lost Kyung Yi again or something.. Will we ever see the reason why he's so willing to help Kyung Yi and whether he being the game partner of Kyung Yi is intentional or not..

@abs-oluteM Well it's too bad that you can't join us for live watching this.. :( But it's alright maybe we'll see each other around in another thread ( I knew I can find you in red sleeve x) )

    -----

It's unexpected but understandable that Yi Kyung joined hands with Director Yong because she's curious why a powerful person like Yong Suk wants to catch her. I too feel curious why Yong Suk want Yi Kyung to be caught. Is she has another hidden agenda or she wants to use Yi Kyung to kill of the people that she wanted to get rid of but doesn't want to make her hands dirty with their blood? And it's interesting to see that it looks like she's only supporting her first son and tries so hard to hide her youngest son from public. She even made her son sterile omg o.O

I wonder who's the man inside the box that got delivered to Geon Wook house.. At first I thought the man is his former lover / mate from work, but I think he's a different man? And will Geon Wook lead team B to catch and stop Yi Kyung from killing people anymore or will he still stay as a partner of Yi Kyung?

Other than Santa's past, I still want to know whether we will get a closure about Kyung Yi's husband death... Are we sure we can wrapped all of it just in 3 remaining episodes? hmm....

I hope it won't turn supernatural, I prefer just psychological reason for K to become murderer. I need to continue watching, as I need to prove Tofu I can finish this

I guess not.. We will have to see if that darkness mean anything supernatural, or was it just something from small Yi Kyung's imagination and way of coping when she was lost in the forest and starting to act like as the judger of the unworthy people's life who committed terrible crime to the society..

Hi :) You are welcome to try and see if you like the drama. It will have 12 episodes and by this week we will have 8 episodes. Internationally the drama is aired on Netflix.

The similar feeling that I said about this drama with Queen of Mystery is because the uniqueness of the female lead in approaching or solving the mystery and dealing with the culprit. Both have this ability in imagining the possible action that the culprit did and put themselves in the crime scene.

  10. @abs-oluteM I watched ep 7 during the weekdays but fall asleep before I could write my thoughts in here.. and I just caught up until ep 9...

Okay about your questions regarding the video, yes the man asks Ji Yeon for to watch a movie when the sky is bright. I guess since I haven't seen this scene yet, it will be in episode 10? Maybe the reason why Ji Yeon felt touch because how he initiated the next step? In ep 8, Ji Yeon shared that she's mostly the one who asked the man for the next step after they spent time together. Most men back out because they already achieved their goal for sleeping with her and didn't see a serious future with Ji Yeon. However this man is different. He explained via text and by the looks that they spent time drinking all night until dawn at Ji Yeon's favorite bar, it shows that he also interested in her.

Gosh I didn't sign up for crying fest in this drama. :letalQQ: Even tough I found the craziness of these women sometimes a little bit too much, I enjoyed watching them getting drunk and mukbang to forget about their sorrow about life or just being there for each other.

Ep 7 showed us about the women's past but I really invested in Ji Goo's past as a teacher. I liked her cool and blunt way as a teacher, but I guess because she's inexperience enough, she didn't realize the sign for her student until it's too late. And it really made an enormous impact later in her life. I guess some of her advice towards her student was something that she wished she could do, but couldn't because the expectation from her overbearing mother. When she was grieving about her student's death, the way her mother still pushing her wishes and dreams to Ji Goo.. whoaa I want to slap her mother silly.:pandaroar:

It's just relief that Ji Goo with that temper of hers just moved back and later ran away from home... Not choosing a dark path like what her student did.

Ep 8.. It's a bittersweet one. That ahjumma of the bar owner gave some wise advice for our girls. She was there when the women experienced the failed love when they were young and she was there when they are in 30s with various state of love life among the three. Her advice as someone who has felt the fail in love and starting a new life gave an insight to the girls' love life..

Ep 9.. Wah.. this episodes is really.. Aigoo the heaviest so far but also the warmest. I really hope that the friendship between the girls would never be broken. They have gone a lot together. As So Hee stated in her voice over when she narrated her story, Ji Yeon really looked so mature in here. Among the three she was the most experienced enough with the funeral process. She didn't want So Hee to take care of the trivia matter when she's not in her state of mind, so she mostly take care of it. Ji Goo, her presence alone was already a source of strength for the two of them, but when she's willing to contact the family that she wants nothing to do with, it just showed that to Ji Goo, So Hee's stability in facing the farewell of her father is the more important than her cold war with her family, especially with her mother. And Buk Gu. The sweet Kang Buk Gu. He's caring for her from afar and staying with her for the whole 3 days.

Watching ep 9 brought some memories and thoughts.. My first and foremost thought whenever I found drama with tight friendship between the leads is if only I could also have the same friendship like that in real life.. Funeral scenes would never be easy and the older we get, the more often we will have to attend or hear about the funeral of someone we knew..  Sigh ep 9 is really the heaviest so far..

Now I want to give a really big applause for our three leading heroine for their fantastic acting. I don't think I  have ever watched Lee Sun Bin's works before this, but I have to say she's doing really well. Jung Eun Ji and Han Sun Hwa.. Wahh these two I have known them since their idols days and some of their side while they were doing variety, however these two have grown so much as an actress. Thumbs thumbs thumbs thumbs for them :1000:

As I watched this part, I'm wondering if we're also dealing with supernatural stuff? But it hasn't seem that way this whole time... So I'm going to guess that someone took her, and cared for her while brain-washing her? Then let her be found by the people. But all this happened in Seattle, so will this time period be revisited?

Urgh, the way K moved the passed out KS is so dangerous. The guy could literally break his neck on the way down into that box. But of course, she would just shrugged her shoulders and say "oops" with a smile, if that happened. So she really did do it all by herself. I'm glad it was revealed to us how she managed to move them there so that we don't keep wondering about it.

Yeah I wonder about that too while writing it last week. Because of the dark shadow and when it appeared Kei seemed to be hypnotized and will get this maniac gleam in her eyes. And agreed with how brutal she threw Kyung Soo into that container. For him being able to function at all when he woke up and only end up with a bruise was really a big relief. He could die being thrown like that my goodness...

If you have watched ep 7, I think we'll see soon how her aunt death will affected Kei and her method of killing.. Gosh that director Yong is even brutal. I shouldn't be that shocked finding her to be another murderer just to achieve her goal, but a little bit surprised to see Je Hee seemed to abide her wishes and did nothing to stop Go Dam's murder. I wonder what secret that she wanted Go Dam to buried with his death too.. Too bad the actor who played Go Dam only appear for a short time. I like Kim Soo Ro because of his appearance in my favorite variety show in 2008~2010 Family Outing.. Glad to see him again after a while..

Santa identity always quite questionable and especially on why he refused to speak normally, when he's not mute. The funny thing, seems no one in the team even questioning about it lols

I have realized that Santa can speak ever since he was looking out for Kyung Yi when she is brought by the trash truck lol. He spoke only for a short seconds and realized there's more into him. While the ending of episode 6 was also shocking, when he had that mug with of the same school with Kei, I wonder how he got to know about her, since it was an all girl school.. Perhaps? But what's with that short scenes of him putting something into Kyung Yi's drink and keeping pictures of her in his own album.. We only have 5 episodes left, so how they are going to reveal that story?! Gah

Upcoming episodes Kyung Yi and Kyung Soo have to work together to solve the mystery of Kei. Like you said @SilverMoonTea, among the 4 only Kyung Soo and Kyung Yi who seemed to be really pure and just put into their might to catch Kei without any other intention.

  13. I think I can say that I'm officially putting this drama under my current watching list.. :pandahappy:

I was hesitate at first because sageuk or palace setting isn't my favorite genre and I usually won't go near of it. However the teaser about Jun Ho wearing crown prince and later king robes, his melo and soft eyes while looking at Lee Se Young at the teaser bought and persuaded me to watch and try it. :pandablush:

Ep 1, the young actors nailed it with their acts and the appearance of the adult version of San and Deok Im made me anticipated ep 2. And boy, I was having fun watching them interacted as a young maid and 'fake teacher' acts. The tiger hunt was quite nerve-wracking, not because I didn't believe San could catch it or Deok Im won't be able to save her fellow maids during the festival, but the aftermath and the repercussion. In Ep 3, the King anger towards Deok Im who dared to ask the forgiveness for the crown prince and then even when they were just alone, San still not showing that he did the wrong thing for the hunting the tiger. Those two scenes were soo intense that I was almost at the edge of my seat (or in this case, my laptop screen) to know what happened. Thank the King he was wise and kind enough to not follow the bad whispers in his ears. Actor Lee Deok Hwa who played the King really gave a powerful stance as the King and so far I'm loving his act.

The sizzling chemistry between the San and Deok Im are probably one of the reason why I bought this drama and dare to watch it. I knew it won't be a flower path for those two, not when the enemies are starting to appear, but hopefully I won't be too wounded later if it didn't have a good and happy ending.  I have to prepare for the worst, right? :letalQQ:

In fact @LaLaand I was just talking about it on twitter. And while his teacher Deok Ro , the one all the court maids swoon over, seems to be his confidante , will he betray Yi San?  Ever since he took credit for Deok Im's help over the banned book fiasco, I question his integrity.

I don't know what to think about Deok Ro.. While he's all handsome, his role and status are still suspicious to me. I wonder how young Deok Ro could enter the place and later became a friend to the crown prince? He's not the son of some minister or distant relatives of San, does he? Based on his conversation with one of the minister after the palace conference to discuss about San's disobedience after the tiger hunt, he seemed to not have that much power if not for San's kindness. :pandathink:

And that head court lady, I wonder whether she's a friend or foe for our leads.. She seemed to put an interest in Deok Im, I wonder if she knew that San's mother is her protector and she wanted to used her to take down San as the crown prince or not...

Gaah this palace politics are too confusing T_T

I thoroughly enjoyed Nobody Knows, so I'll check this out once my drama list start dwindling down. I have way too many and it doesn't help that I found some older dramas I want to watch too.

    Thanks for showing the interest.

I also enjoyed watching nobody knows even if I felt scared with killing and the methods.

And it's understandable if you can't watch it live either. Having too many dramas to watch and need to choose which to become the priority was confusing :)

  15. Finally our heroine knew the identity of Kei. After running in a circle she finally figured out her opponent and now I'm curious about how Kyung Yi will catch Kei. Honestly I did feel a little disappointed when she just let Director Yong and her people to catch Kei at the airport. Well it was under Je Hee supervision as well, but still I want to see more action. So should I be glad that Kei manage to escape? Lol

About Kei childhood past, poor girl was lost for a week inside a forest all alone. The directing was too dark for me (or probably I don't put my screen in a full brightness mode) but young Kei seemed to be bewitched (?) that led her to come out the car and went into the forest. I wonder how a young girl like her could stay alive alone. And during her first consultation with the psychiatrist, she pointed outside that everything was black to her little eyes. Did she consume the darkness she found in the forest or was something else happened?

Now that the identity of Kei has been known, I guess we will have another episodes where the past and future scenes are merged. Kyung Yi husband case will be revealed soon or later..

  16. Knock knock.. I'm here to come and sell a drama.. :MewHi:

Hope anyone will become interested and buy it..

Lee Young Ae comeback project to drama land.  She plays the lead role of a former police officer who works as a private investigator of sorts. She’s quirky and damaged, and her life now depends on alcohol and busy as a gamer.  Her colorful and unique characteristics will bring the story to life, adding black comedy elements to a story about a college - aged serial killer whom our heroine must chase after.

The drama is directed by PD Lee Jung-heum (Nobody Knows, Falsify) and will have 12 episodes. Up until now 4 out of 12 episodes have aired on Netflix. The drama are full with women who are in more active role than the men counterparts.

My personal suggestion for those who want to try to give the drama chance until episode 3. Episode 1 is the introduction stage and episode 2 slowly starting to reveal the main players for the drama. In episode 3, the fun will only get started.

O I enjoyed so much watching Santa ran after her, haha... How persistent he was! Way to go Santa!

Poor boy who got 4 hit combo at the park but still persistent with his chase.. Both Kei and Santa had an unbelievable stamina to keep running all night all over the place.

I was thinking of that, but then we were shown him with the person who put the drug into K’s hand. So I became unsure about his involvement.

We will see more the reason behind his involvement in Kei during the flashback in the upcoming episodes. Based on the story he told to his colleagues, he was the son of the janitor that Kei gabe poison drink, however the janitor apparently still could be save because he was in the hospital.. I wonder if actually the one who took the final act and end the janitor life was his own son, fueled and influenced by Kei words..

  18. Oh episode 6 was quite interesting and I could relate a little with So Hee. When I was still a newbie, I was eager to finish my work so that I could go home early, but got held instead with additional works. I could relate with the disappointing and frustrating feelings at that time..

In episode 6 we moved back a little to few years ago before So Hee works as a writer, Ji Goo as origami live broadcaster and Ji Yeon as a yoga instructor. Back then, they were all quite success in their own path. I never imagined that Ji Goo was a teacher in high school. Whoa even if she's a cool teacher she really looked as someone that you can't just mess.

This 30 ++ minutes format sometimes can be a blessing or frustrating. When it ended just in time when the story was getting interesting, I felt a little bit mad. The 30 mins format was a blessing when you want to watch something but you don't really have much time to spare. Within the 30 mins the writer and director can deliver something for the viewers without wasting any time. They really packed it within the time frame.

  19. @abs-oluteM I too had a hard time when Si Won characters is appearing on the screen because of his facial hair.. When I thought his appearance in She was pretty could prepare me for this.. my goodness no.. my eyes :CubShy:

I'm up to ep 5 and it's interesting to see how the girls history of becoming friends. Ji Yeon and Ji Goo are so different from each other and now I understood that because of So Hee being the bridge and peace maker among the three, they could stand each other drunk antics lol .. but it's sweet to see that Ji Goo is always ready to help Ji Yeon. She hated the idea for being the emergency contact of hers but she's always be the first one to respond. And despite thr numerous ' mistakes ' that Ji Yeon made to gain the attention of her friends, they are always ready to run and help her.. Such a warm friendship.

And just how tight their bond that even Ji Goo mom dreamed about her daughter's friends and had a bad feeling because of her nightmare..

Romance between So Hee and Bok Gu is still unclear and I hope they can speak to each other without alcohol influence for once to make it clear and not in work area too..

Sigh hearing those songs, brought me back to the golden era of kpop 2010 - 2011 :BulbaOWO: those times are good indeed ...

There are scenes that sent me scratching my head, nevertheless still made me feeling very tensed while watching for what will happen next. I guess it's because they made the villain K too scary? She is made to be too smart too resourceful? Like in the preview, she could overcome her sidekick and drag him by herself? In ep.4, supposedly she herself moved a passed out JH and KS into a box, into a container, onto a lake?

I was wondering in the beginning of the episode when she found out about the base of the team on the basement. Like she really knew about the exact location when the only information that we were shown that she had the pictures of Kyung Yi and Santa. Maybe she used her aunt access to the insurance.. who knows what she can do.. and yes the sudden super power she had for overpowering her side kick made no sense. But maybe because she choked him with the wire and the side kick couldn't really breath and lost his strength, she could drag him around? I think the side kick helped in moving Je Hee and Kyung Soo to the container. We just didn't get the pictures.

I'm not even sure whether to categorise her as a psychopath or not. She seems to only kill people who "deserved" to be killed...

Kei is scary and ruthless but she's not going on killing spree.. like in ep 3 when she experimented with the fries, when she gave some of it to the deliveryman, for seconds I thought she gave the poisoned batches. Well we didn't see what happened to the man, but I guess he's still since he only consume half of the poisonous material and didn't get the mixed from water and air? But really the way she thinks that she is allowed to deliver the judgement and punishment for those who are deemed to not get enough punishment, I think we can put her into the category as psychopath?

Since we only have 12 episodes we will get a very tight and fast plot I guess. The drama still haven't touched about director Yong role in here other than just a sponsor. I wonder what made her want to catch Kei. A personal grudge or something? And why the side kick put Kei into the jail by tricking her with the drug? He's not agreeing in hurting people who aren't guilty? Like Kei want to hear investigation team because they are chasing after her, but in public eyes, they are just a normal people. Not someone who did some crime and escape from it.

I guess we will see more action about Kyung Soo next week based on the preview.. It's getting interesting but like you wrote earlier @ktcjdrama this drama might be confusing and not everyone cup of tea.. What ingrained in my mind about Lee Young Ae is that she's an elegant woman because of her role in Jewel in the palace. This character is very different and sometimes I felt a little bit off watching her acting like Kyung Yi, but because I haven't watched her in many projects, I couldn't compare hahaha...

Hope to see your review this weekend too :)

Plenty of food porn as LYA's character Kyung Yi smacks, chomps, slurps through various foods along with plenty of beer, however, I didn't even find that appetizing. It was a strange juxtaposition of LYA's character not being able to motivate herself except when there is food to shovel in her mouth or beer to guzzle when there is a youthful serial killer gleefully going on her way.

I think this is one kind of way Kyung Yi coping with her life. From the drama description in the official sites and some trailer, she seems to can think and function when there are food and alcohol involve in her systems. Her brilliant deduction and investigation have almost gone because of the death of her husband and the way people pointing out that it's because of her own fault. I'm sure we will get more explanation in the upcoming episodes and I did have my suspicions about this, however I won't share it and will let the episode reveal it first to us, just in case my suspicions is wrong.

Especially since it flashes back and forth between time periods, it seems to want to conflate the killer K with Kyung Yi even, possibly deliberately causing us to question whether they are separate characters, or just different versions of herself. Though when Kyung Yi goes to her husband's classroom to question the girls, it's made more clear that they are different people.

Yes, this was what I thought in the beginning when I watched the first episode. I thought the young girl was Kyung Yi because of a very similar way of thinking and personality. And the way the direction of the first episode almost made us thinking that they were the same people. However not almost when it arrived at the 1 hour mark that I started to realized that those two are different people and they are the heroine and the culprit. It's confusing but in episode 2 it has become clearer.

Entering ep 3, I still like the drama and the mysterious and cases of Inspector Koo, so I'll keep watching this @stroppyse Maybe you can try to watch until ep 4 to see if it can satisfy you? Mystery and crime is usually not a genre that I'll choose, but this one is quite interesting. The actresses themselves also played a role in convincing me to try it, although I don't think I have watched the past works of the actress who played the role Kei.

This came up in my Netflix recommendation, and I want to watch it despite not having heard anything before this. So I am glad you made a thread for it. I’ll be back after I start watching

It does an interesting drama and I think people who likes mystery or crime will like this. The execution for the directing of the drama is quite good too, adding the mysterious feel to the drama, albeit a little bit confusing at first.

    Episode 3 thoughts and review

Okay so in the beginning of episode 3 we got the story hoe Kyung Yi and Kei met when Kei was still in highschool and Kyung Yi came to investigate the death of the janitor. In here Kyung Yi admitted that what her husband thought about them looked similar. I personally think that they both looks brilliant and mysterious, however in a different way Kei was scary while Kyung Yi is unique.

In the present time Kei seems to know that by mentioning the death of Kyung Yi husband might trigger something and fished out a reaction in Kyung Yi. And her provocation did bear a result that made her feel satisfied, based on her expression. Kyung Yi clearly still blame herself as one of the part that lead the death of her dear husband. We still need to be patient to see about what happened years ago that made her became like this.

And I think the drama description that I roughly translate as part of the drama introduction might give away the reason behind Kei random killing. She thinks that she's punishing the baddies with her own hand to help the victims. When the society think that the culprits didn't get the punishment they deserved, then she needs to be the one who gave the judgment instead. Interestingly while having this dark thought, Kei imagination when there's this dark shadow came upon her, seems want to point us that she is consumed with her darkness and embraced it. The way she talked to her aunt that she will grant her wish for the man be punished is creepy despite her smile.

I hope we will get more story about Director Yong. She appeared too short in this episode for my liking and she seemed to just play from behind the curtain so far. I want to see her to play a more active role because she is the one who proposed for team B and her to team up catching Kei. She must have her own reasons and I can't wait for it to be revealed..

  22. It was a great ending for me. The baddies are all got their due punishment and the good guys delivered the punishment in a refreshing way. I'm satisfied with how they wrapped it out. It was such a fun and enjoyable drama.

Some scenes that were off when Mi Na was trying to flee while trying to manage her peanut allergy. She suddenly didn't have any difficulty in breathing when she met and talked with Yeon Ju inside the car  Hello production team? I'll just let them to get away with it..

And I really like how the show let Lee Honey to take over Mi Na while she has to deliver some impactful sentences or showing some emotions, like in the hospital and the confrontation with the mother in law. Lee Honey really did a fantastic job in playing the dual role. The different tone she used while playing Yeon Ju and Mi Na is very clear and her expression, she nailed it down. Both Mi Na and Yeon Ju clearly get a lesson from each other and become a better person from it.

Great work from the all actors and staffs and I'm glad they can finish and wrap the drama successfully and safely. And big congratulations for reaching the highest rating for the finale! They deserve it. I'm glad to see the casts are having fun together behind the scene.

Thanks for @ktcjdrama and @stroppyse for accompanying me in this thread so I don't feel alone for the second half of the drama. Hopefully you both had fun while watching because I know I did :)

Thanks @abs-oluteMfor opening the thread, even tough it's sad that you can't join us in watching the drama live because your watchlist are full at the moment. I will still recommend you to try this one if you had the time to watch, because it's a light and fun drama.. Although this thread might have given you too much spoiler about the drama hahaha..
