  1. Ok, looks like I'm not getting past ep1 lol. Rewatching FITYMI instead, and it's even better the second time around! Is the ring the Cartier Trinity Ring? (maybe a replica since it was from a stall by the road haha). Edit: Think it is meant to be Cartier except maybe they didn't sponsor. Because the stall and packaging colour is Cartier's. But the meaning! ❤❤❤ - symbolism "life’s most paramount relationships" - "Three intertwined gold bands stand for love, friendship and fidelity" - "This iconic ring, living between jewelry and sculpture, feminine and masculine, playful and symbolic" Source Playlist on spotify (credit)
  2. I tried 1 episode. His hair is god awful (I think it’s permed at the top???) and his voice is dubbed 😭 The synopsis says the wife was forced to marry him but it was love at first sight for him. Ep1 starts 2 years into the marriage I think and they are still quite distant with each other. So the romance should be interesting to watch if the script is any good. He looks thinner here though. Read that he was a racer. He’s with a motorbike here too.
  3. I'm trying ep1 of Siege in Fog but his hairstyle is awful and voice is dubbed 😭
  4. Hahahaha, these are traits that support liking a person, but the spark has to be there first. No. 1 is attraction because of his looks. That caught her attention. Then he is observant and 细心 by getting her the blanket and many other things that most other men miss. Then being the experienced guy he is, he knows when to push and pull, teasing her just enough to entice her. By the time she sits opposite him in the meeting, his work capability becomes another +. And she gradually finds him to be a good person. Tang Ying's a smart girl. There is no denying ZQ's experience with women. Tang Ying on the other hand is quite innocent - she loved 1 man for 10 years and never had a long-term relationship. (It seems I am asking this question in every c-drama, but is she a V 😂). Considering that, I thought she held her own very well in her flirtations with ZQ. Mostly, she is her natural self with him and as she says, because she has no ulterior motive with him, she says whatever comes to mind. This is refreshing and attractive to ZQ, who has been surrounded by women trying to cling to him.
  5. I feel that she hurt him here, and that it was a bit '"cruel". At first, I thought she could tell he was down and brought up the 4 points as a way to change the topic to something interesting to take his mind off work. And it worked because he was happy - you could see a small smile when he asked where she was. Then she said those things were no longer important which was why she could discuss it now 😱 Why? 😢 Was it really just because he turned her down for drinks? Did that hit her limit because she feels that he keeps teasing her, making her fall for him, then it seems he pulls back? He was hurt. If I were him, I would also say "No", that his heart has never fluttered for her and hang up. That's one of the things I love about Xu Zi Quan. He has backbone. He may like a woman but he would never pander to her the way the sister's boyfriend does. On the overall, he is a very attractive character.
  6. Ooooh, do his other dramas have a lot of kissing? Do recommend! He sucks the lip very nicely 😍 Me time doesn't generally happen on Monday mornings 😂😅 Their "friendship" is the classic example of how men and women can never be friends 😅 I think one of the themes of this drama is 不要装 - don't pretend. Every character gets their good ending after they decide to let go off their false image/become real.
  7. Hahaha! I like him very much too. He looks damn hot in his suits and leather jackets. I am keen to watch his other works. Know any where the story is good too? Cdramas usually need a lot of FFWD lol. @SilverMoonTea Are you really not watching just because he is not pale and skinny? 😂
  8. The deal went through and contract was signed. Then the news appeared next day, that the owner of the company that ZQ's client bought had been arrested for gambling. So both ZQ and TY's reputation were affected because it meant they did not assess the risk properly. TY's boss was horrid because he did not acknowledge at all that TY had highlighted the risks and was told to back down. Her bonuses were cut as penalty. ZQ's team was sent to the boondocks as punishment - that's how he ended half-naked in the spa with the potential client from the suburb lol. I've finished. 14 episodes is just nice because the tension disappeared after they got together 😂 although there was still good and realistic conversation after that.
  9. Hahaha @40somethingahjumma I've just finished 8. That bridge scene was something. I love that he is so direct. Now starting 9. 14 episodes is beginning to feel like too short! 😂
  10. I woke up at 7.30 this morning, continued watching episode 4 to 6, until I had no choice but to leave for a work appointment. And somewhere in those few episodes was some wise words from Tang Ying's new boss that you must keep telling yourself that time is precious and make full use of it. And here I am, chasing a drama early on a Monday morning. How ironic 😭 This drama is so good. It's been a long while (if ever), that I have watched a romance where 2 people communicate so well. His 眼神 is killing me too. Every episode, there is at least 1 good scene between them. And this is it for ep4! And someone, please tell me that there will be a hot steamy kiss (not those peckish type) and which episode is that! Back later.
  11. Lucky you! I don't have to look at scenery, but I don't remember sitting near any cute guys 😢 Try the Jo Malone perfume next time 😂 Thanks for the recommendation. I'm all for adult romances. Those with 20 year-olds mostly leave me wondering what they see in each other lol. The actor is quite suave here. Very believable as a ladies man. Will be binging this weekend.
  12. The dialogue is very interesting. So many times, if I were the FL, I wouldn't know where to hide my head 🤣 She thinks he's a player, but he is honest about his dating outlook, so to speak. He is also very direct and some things make you swooooooon..... I'm glad to finally watch a c-drama where the ML is not pale and skinny lol.
  13. Wah, opening scene already so interesting. Next time I sit next to a cute guy in an airplane, I shall just shiver and wait! 😂
  14. There was 1 fail by the writer here though. When Mari said Mr Jung told her that YW's mother knew about the clause in the contract, the lawyer said it is just a claim by Mr Jung. Then she played the sound recording of Mari and Mr Jung, and ta-dah, that was supposed to be proof that YW's mother knew. Why? The recording didn't have YW's mother in it. Left me scratching my head. Apart from the fact that siblings will probably be better matches and lower chance of rejection, part of it was likely revenge for her husband's affairs. I forgot there's an episode tonight! 😂
  15. Ep 13 is aptly titled "Questions Asked and Answered". And you realise, Park Ki Young is so crucial - he started dropping all these hints to get the ball rolling, and without him, the police would have no proof to convict anyone. The actor is also doing a brilliant job. Despite being portrayed as a villian, his anguish in the scene with Young Woon in the interrogation room was heartfelt - quite well done I thought. So he is now my favourite character! 😂 I feel it is mainly the actress and her acting. She has this smirk that I really dislike. And do you notice she speaks with a little lisp (?), which I think she is doing intentionally to come across as bad-ass prosecutor, which totally fails. I liked the reveal by PKY. But it confused me so I re-watched. - His goal was to stop Young Woon from getting the heart transplant. - So he planned the serial murders to frame Jin Woo so that he would go to jail and the transplant cannot take place. (And that answers the question of what his crime is since he didn't do the actual killing.) - Then he intended to go overseas so that they won't try to take his heart as back-up plan. That's it. I'm still wondering if I should or should not be disappointed with this as a plot. I suppose YW not getting the transplant would be a kind of revenge on his mother as well, since he is her everything. But still, I was expecting something... larger? Smarter? But I guess to PKY, it goes back to his obsession/jealousy of YW which is his main grievance. Seems a bit 钻牛角尖. Wouldn't it be easier to just kill JW right from the start 😅 Not that it matters to KY that both YW and JW are his brothers anyway.
  16. @mademoiselle I watched ep 3, the one where you said he is so cute as he fights between adoring her and knowing he is under a spell. My conclusion is "cuteness is in the eyes of the beholder" 😂 But because this is on Netflix, I will likely stumble across it soon. Longing for You is ending and after that, I have no live drama to watch. @abs-oluteM So sorry for leaving you on My dearest thread alone. I do plan to watch but the coming angst terrifies me. Think I'll wait until part 2 is out. Doesn't it belong to a woman he killed?
  17. She's become more useful again 😂. Because Young Won cannot go after his family yet, KJE's character is the prosecutor for the case. In terms of character, it's a good one because she is not scared of those with power. But she contributed zilch to solving the crime. It was all done by Jin Sang and his 2 sidekicks. Young Won then did the checking within the hospital for confirmation. Get off? 😱 Although he didn't commit those crimes, he witnessed them and did nothing to stop it from happening. But wait, is that a crime? At minimum he kidnapped Young Joo and Alien 😅 He could die... his watch monitor has been beeping when he gets excited 😅
  18. The serial killer was the guy who was caught. The dental assistant. Only the first case was by Bae Min Gyu - who killed his wife.
  19. After Park Ki Young's friend turned up as beneficiary and mentioned their mothers were friends during their modelling days, I suspected PKY was another illegitimate son. Cha Young Woon's father seems like such a mild mannered man but he had been scr*wing every pretty girl he came across. His wife obviously knew - did she hatch her plan after these girls fell pregnant or did she encourage/not stop him from his affairs because she wanted there to be children? How evil she is. And yet the actress does the role with such equanimity. Still good. The revelations come very fast and you think is it too early because there are X episodes to go? But no, it's very well paced. I'm still quite amazed at how @peperomia and others guessed the plot correctly after only the first 2 episodes. Yes! His detective skills and instinct have been spot on. Although I find Na In Woo's acting so-so, I'm glad his character was written well, instead of being just full of bluster. 🤣🤣🤣 This was a difficult one. Also my first time hearing that you can make fake teeth to match an x-ray. But the detectives walking into the hotel room and PKY just standing there with no one guarding him etc, seems a bit odd. Surely with his smarts, he could have found a way to escape earlier. I'm in 2 minds about Cha Young Won. At first, I thought he may be pretending to help his family so as to get more information to trap them. But it does not look that way. It looks like he has to be persuaded to help the good side. Which is disappointing. But I could be wrong. Only 2 more episodes left! For @mademoiselle
  20. I'm only up to ep 3 but this scene has some heat. Poor NGM, did he really carry all those women lol? I really wouldn't mind it hahaha!
  21. @mademoiselle Hahahaha, yikes that's gross. Yes send me a screenshot. Does that make you want to change your DP back to Rowoon lol? Can use as in only they can benefit or they can use it to benefit others? For example, can they use a spell to cure someone else (not the 2 of them)? I was thinking this whole family is cursed, don't they need an unlimited supply of healing spells?
  22. Not bad, apart from the relatively heavily made-up face for a guy. I swear when I scrutinise, there may even be some eye shadow! You sound like a jealous girlfriend 😂 So far the 2 episodes were watchable although with some ffwd of the FL's scenes. This spell book, you have to burn the page to cast the spell - so only 1 chance 😮
  23. I watched this 😂 because It was easily accessible on Netflix. and @mademoiselle your boy has more lipstick than the FL 😂
  24. For Jin Woo, having those photos meant that he may be the killer because the victims all had their ankles slit. So the suspect was someone with an ankle fetish.
