  1. [Ep 9] Yes! Yes! Yes! Episode 9 had me literally laugh out loud multiple times. This episode was a bit of a roller coaster ride for me, especially the beginning. Suspense (waiting for Young-won's reaction) then bliss (Young-won actually saying she likes him too!) then tension (Shin Gyeom showing up) then relief (awkward scene was immediately over) then giddiness (Jasung texting in the car) then awe (Young-won walking in in that dress!) all in the first 5 minutes! I found 3 parallels this episode so far, two from CTMABAS and one from BTIMFL. First one is the confession scene. I tweeted about it last night and I'm happy my wish was fulfilled! In CTMABAS, they were asked to stare at each other for ten seconds and after that, they can either choose each other or a rice cooker. Jiseok chose Somin, but Somin chose the rice cooker. In MMH, Jiseok wasn't left hanging and they revealed their feelings are mutual! Hurray! Funny how in MMH, they actually did the staring more intensely. They both didn't blink once in the cut above! 🤩 I'm glad they did get to confess to each other at this point, and not towards the end of the show. Happy CEO is happy. He's so in love he's already forgotten everything he's been strict about. Rely on CE Go to remind him of things that he says and does. Such a happy boy! Look at him skipping. I need to brace myself for things that will happen next though! Second parallel is the piggyback scene. I also tweeted about it before from the previews, but putting them side by side, the two scenes are really contrasting. Look at Jasung's smug look! The two parallel scenes from Came to Me and Became a Star is really just like an alternate universe. 🤣 Third parallel is from BTIMFL. Somin's character vacates the house and just leaves a note.
  2. I think there's a good chance. I think Somin's first post related to MMH is this: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGbeli3lqkT/ October 16 with the #NA01 hashtag. Looks like the camping site where we first see Shin Gyeom.
  3. I'm not yet really ready to board another ship 😅 but I thought this might fit here.
  4. @abs-oluteM Ji-seok's face when Somin says "handsome" 👌
  5. From what I understood from the slowmo flashback is that In-Sol intentionally lost. Hae-Kang sort of knew it too. I think it's a big character development for him since he is always number 1 and always fights for number 1. Here though, he knows that Hae Kang is ultimately better. It was a mature move for him to sacrifice being able to participate even if he really wanted to, especially in contrast to how others would bribe and cheat to get somewhere higher. Just wanna say that I think hitting as a form of coaching won't really work these days... Sure some can still be harsh and extreme and punish by giving extensive drills, but what benefit does hitting have? Wouldn't you just be injuring your athletes? 🙃 It's not like he's a famous sought out coach too. So really, what incentive would the athletes have of sticking with you? 😄 Just found it annoying and funny. I do love that the kids trusted the White Wolf as how they know him, and not based on the rumors.
  6. Oh! Here's another one. Just to add. The things they watched in MMH looks so random 😅
  7. [Ep 8] SPOILER. Might be a long post cause there's just a lot of development. 😱😱😱 This episode was a little bit too much for me, in a good way of course! There are a lot of things that this drama is doing right for me, especially this particular episode. We all have our expectations and we anticipate some events to happen, be it good or bad. For this episode, I anticipated a lot of things that would go wrong and I'm really really really glad that they decided to go the other way. The Bag I like how Young-won immediately though of Dragon as well when she read the letter that came with the bag. I also like how this was resolved, with Young-won still not knowing that it was Shin that got it for her. Like @ktcjdrama said, I feel like this was a wrong move, especially with the absurd overbid that he made for it. Even if she did learn it was from Shin, I don't think she'll accept it. Shin and Mira Well well well, this one I certainly didn't expect. I'll be happy if this develops. 😎 Sang-Soon Finally, the psychic instructed him to do something less obtrusive and obnoxious. He also shared it only with Chief Editor Go. And yes, finally! He got the subscription! Things are finally looking up for him. Honestly, the thing with his cutie pie didn't surprise me at all, and I'm not sorry for that. He and Ui-joo now have a proper chance! Who's the cutie pie though? Is it supposed to be a cameo? Mira and the employees' living situation With the reveal that Mira is secretly living in the office, it just shows how all of the employees are having problems with their living sitatuation. Really ironic for a magazine firm that promotes and sells houses. Assuming that there will be a good or better ending for everyone's living conditions, I wonder if a transformed Ja-Sung will at least help all of them, one way or another. Young-won and Ja-sung Aahhh. These two! 🥰 First of all, I really like the client's facial expression when he overheared Ja-sung on the phone. So funny. Their bickering during the first half of the episode was also 'pleasant' and funny. With Young-won being down and disappointed already, everything that Ja-sung did just backfired. The furniture-shopping was also really nice. I don't understand the lyrics of the song but the "like a dream" part is appropriate. How nice it must be to go all out furniture shopping without even looking at the price tag and getting whichever one you like! I do think that it's not really Young-won's style (even if she says so) but it really fits the space and does fit Ja-Sung's style more. The leather furniture turned out quite nice. The hug scene was pretty well executed. 😍 It's a bit cliche and things like this happen all the time in shows (probably almost never in real life!) but I liked this one. It's a full on hug but still a bit goofy, and they dragged it out just the right amount. OR am I just really liking them so I'm biased? The breakfast scene is the parallel scene this episode. Same food (I think? At least the rolled omelette) and lots of same shots and similar lines. Very similar yet still had their defining parts. Young-won's legs swinging under the table was a nice touch. Throughout the episode, there are many moments that Young-won already knows she likes Ja-sung without openly and fully admitting it. She knows why she's sad and disappointed that Ja-sung didn't remember the hug the night before. When she saw and overheard the secretary, she says to herself "what do you mean why?" Towards the end when Young-won hears the content of the meeting, I grew really scared because it is somewhat similar to Ji-ho's reaction in BTIMFL and maybe even Somin's other characters (and of course other characters as well). She was overthinking again and was about to bring down (or at least delay) the relationship that just bloomed. After all the positive things that happened in the episode, I was preparing myself for a very sad and disappointing cliffhanger. But! Like @abs-oluteM I'm really glad Ja-sung stepped up and everything went the other way! We're only halfway through the series. The next episode seems to have happy parts but for sure there will be more conflict, so I'll be bracing myself. I really appreciate how they concluded episode 8 though!
  8. Anyone here know any of the main cast for Return? They seem very young, aside from the veterans that are probably just supporting casts. I know Somin is very quirky and bubbly and has dynamic acting skills, but I wonder how she'll fit in with this cast. It's kind of the same for me when she was cast for the Secret Royal Inspector with Jo Byeong-kyu back then. Looking at MyDramaList, info on this show is still next to nothing. Currently stated airing is December 18. Still pretty far off, but it's still technically second half off 2021. 😆 Looking at the comments, a lot are excited about Lee Jae Wook and Arin. I checked and I've only seen Lee Jae Wook in Memories of the Alhambra, and his role there isn't really a good basis since it was such a small role and basically had zero lines and expressions. 🤣 I'm not really sure how to feel yet with this news, but seeing more of Somin is always welcome. 😁 Let's wait for the news to be fully confirmed. But since they supposedly have already started shooting the first episode, they must be rushing this recasting process, so we'll probably hear some confirmation pretty soon. @Lin M @Sominah Thanks for the update on the new videos! 😁
  9. @abs-oluteM it's so much fun looking out for them. I'm glad they've been consistent so far, with at least 1 per episode (that I can find at least). I wonder if they or someone will release someday a complete list. I'm sure I've missed a couple already. @Support_Somin_n_SG yes, it seems they both died cause of the accident. That flashback holds a lot of weight though. It's shown that Ja-sung and his family were practically living in the streets. It seems he has never experienced having a home, aside from their van. Now that he has enough money to buy his own house, he doesn't really know what to do with it or how to make it a "home". Now that the main lead's romance is starting to ramp up, I'm pretty curious. The show has been pushing for Young-won's journey of saving up for her own home, but I wonder how they'll resolve it. Will she earn and save enough money to buy her own house? If Young-won and Ja-sung's relationship come to fruition and they end up together in their own house, then what will that say about Young-won's journey? Hopefully the show won't ultimately end up with a message that you just need to find a rich man to fulfill your dreams. 🤣🤣 Just a thought.
  10. Look what appeared on Monthly Magazine Home: Doesn't really mean anything anymore, but just wanted to share. Missing this thread from time to time when I see things like this.
  11. [Ep 7] Aahh. Things are heating up! 🥰 I'm glad they didn't troll us with the bed scene, and I didn't expect the reason too. It happened for real and there's evidence of his kindness! Young-won has always been grateful for the things that Ja-sung has done for her, especially those things that help her with her living sitatuation and finances - things that Ja-sung is able to do because of his status. She always tries to find a way to repay him for those things. What she's slowly realizing is that his small acts of kindness and him being 'human' also resonate with her. She is grateful for the things Ja-sung is able to provide as boss and CEO, but she is touched by the things Ja-sung does as a person. The cherry blossom sushi scene was memorable to her. It made her smile when she remembered it because of the hair band she saw on the bus. Now there are more and more things that make her smile subconsiously. 😊 YoungForever and Dragon's relationship going the next level too! Hitting up them DM's. 😉 "I'm always rooting for you" such a sweet Dragon. The last few minutes of this episode was so nice! Other stuff: The love triangle in this show is really funny. The people I usually watch with usually are on the same 'team' as me in terms of love triangles, but here it's different. 😂 I'm team Ja-sung while others are really irritated by him and like Shin more. Now I'm starting to get irritated with Shin too 😆 I'm sort of glad Young-won said "too much kindness is making me want to cuss" cause that's what I felt during the bus station scene. 😅 On the previews, I'm surprised the bag from the auction ends up with Young-won. The letter that supposedly comes with the bag says "I will always support you", a line similar to what Dragon uses, but it seems it isn't from him because he's jealous. Could it be a secret admirer? Here's the guy that won the auction 🤔: Can't wait for episode 8!
  12. @SsomGem some are really iconic scenes from BTIMFL. I've watched the whole show at least twice, but have rewatched certain parts multiple times, especially the first few episodes. Most of the similar scenes in MMH so far are from the first few episodes, so maybe that's why I recognized them instantly. What really shocks me though is how shot-for-shot it is. Like the sequence and angle of the shots, sometimes even what they wear is similar. I only see those after watching the scenes side by side. 😄 Here's the latest I've worked on. Video isn't public yet. I was planning on watching these week's episodes first and add them, but I actually filled up the whole song already. 😅 Im not sure if I'll still change it. edit: decided to make it public as is.
  13. @SilverMoonTea thanks for the tag! I've actually never heard of this series. 😅 I'll try and take a look!
  14. Found some BTIMFL parallels on ep 6. It's interesting that the two scenes are both on episode 6. They both represent a turning point on the main lead's relationship after a good steady climb.
  15. @Sominah the song is so nice, I like the official video too. I've been putting up together another mash-up ever since the song came out, and my heart's been sinking and sinking watching Young-won and Ji-ho's lowest moments (so far). Their journey so heartbreaking. I can't believe that we'll already reach the halfway point this week. Gah. Glass half-full, half-empty feelings. 🙂🙃
  16. 😄😄 This is pretty cute. Ji-seok didn't know, but looking at the BTS, I would've thought that Somin was the one that was surprised, hence her hitting Ji-seok.
  17. @LaLa @SilverMoonTea funny that you guys describe him as a puppy. In Because This is My First Life, Somin thought that Boknam, the second love interest, was a puppy at first. A store owner asked Somin to look for Boknam, describing him as "has curly brown fur, wears pink, and is pretty to look at". Very similar to Shin in MMH 😂 I've been waiting for Shin to wear pink, but this baby blue hoodie works as a comparison: Yet another similarity between the two shows. Thank you for transcribing the monologues! This is also one of the iconic techniques used in BTIMFL and it's really really effective. It helps summarize the episode and tie things together. Somin's way of talking in those monologues pulls so many feels. They really know how to target people like me and others here that are Somin/BTIMFL fans. 😆
  18. @Yoon Ji I mean, who's the publication or the one that makes that? Nice that she's leading! 👏
  19. Ah. Actually found one! So cute. I really like all Young-won's hypnosis scenes this episode, especially how Ja-sung just completely stops whatever he's saying. 😍😍😍 Same!!! The dog bit was the best! In the words of Ja-sung, "I compliment this scene!" Riiiigghtt?! The restaurant setting looks so nice. Maybe they can find a house with an indoor cherry blossom 😂😂
  20. [Ep 6] Aaahhh. Ep 6 so gooood. I didn't find any references to iconic scenes from other shows, but this episode alone has a couple of scenes that merits iconic status; like Young-won's hypnosis on Ja-sung, Young-won's keychain scene, and of course their sushi/sake scene! 😍 I love all of them. I know I've been a bit obsessed with the parallel reference scenes, but I hope that the sushi/sake scene is completely original and something that this show can claim as its own. Even before catching all the references for their "first kiss" scene, I didn't really find that scene to be special. But the scenes from this episode are probably ones that I'll eventually keep coming back to and rewatch someday. I'm looking for more memorable scenes! The double 'waking-up in bed' scene was a nice touch too! They did their best to make it look the exact same one. Really really funny. Can't wait to find out how they ended up in the same bed. Was it cause Ja Sung doesn't have any other furniture? 🤣 I'm still confused with his tactic on where he lives. I feel like it'll be more practical if he just stayed put in a small place, rather than having to move every now and then just to "save" money by occuping the place while waiting for it to be bought. I don't like his current place though, I liked the previous two much much better. The current place looks too glamorous and... marble-y... which is a good sign cause they'll move together somewhere else... right? While things are going well for Ja-Sung and Young-won, I feel really bad for Shin already. I hope he doesn't get his hopes high that much. It's crushing me everytime I see him now. Him getting all fired up when Young-won told him he is mature was a sign for me that no, he isn't mature enough yet. To be fair though, with how wacky this show is, none of the "adults" are really models for being mature. So I don't know, maybe my point is moot. 🤣 @Support_Somin_n_SG I love the scene and song too. I saw a tweet saying it's by Woodz. But I can't find the song yet, so probably part of the OST and will be released accordingly. The other songs are starting to be distinguishable now too. I now recognized when OST 3 was played on ep 6. There's also another song that I'm waiting to come out. It's the one towards end of ep1 during Young-won's hardships flasbacks with lyrics like "here I am, a flame is alive in my heart". The acoustic song that was played on ep 6's bed scene seems nice as well. Songs here: @abs-oluteM @ktcjdrama I was surprised that she had (then has again) a boyfriend too! I'm not sure about them and editor Nam though...
  21. I couldn't play the video, but is it the one shown on the teasers where they shout after seeing each other? Since there's a drinking scene, maybe they got drunk? But wow, based on previews, I didn't expect them to move in together this early. Will she be redecorating at once like she did in her previous 2 moves? OST 3 is played when Ja Sung picks up Young-won after the chestnut incident. The song is nice, but its one of those songs that don't really have a strong first impression but once you know it, it does become quite distinguishable. Speaking of incident, Ja Sung didn't get beat up by Young-won on ep 5 (after the 4 episode streak), but everyone else got into a rumble. 🤣 Random GIF plug:
