  1. Ep15-16 BTS... waiting for the subbed version to be available, but even without understanding what is said, it is such a joy to see how much fun they had filming amid harsh conditions. Miss them...
  2. Ep16 is well-paced... giving us closure, while tying up loose ends and clearing up questions that we have had satisfactorily. We are finally privy to what happened leading up to the last days in Black Bridge village. While the villagers did not lay a hand on KJG after all, their retaliation by poisoning his bees finally drove him mad, and little Kim Sol stamped the agreement behind his father's back in an attempt to save his father who has taken leave of his senses. Nonetheless, all the scheming was for naught as the cable car project fell through after being unable to secure the green light from the Ministry of Environment, and the villagers' mass migration was on the back of compensation from the national park instead. While not shown, it stands to reason that left behind in the village he refuses to leave, KJG's nervous breakdown drove him to suicide, no longer of sound mind to consider the son he left behind. Traumatised and suicidal until a chance meeting with his childhood friend showed him that despite everything they did, no one bothered to remember what transpired back then, Kim Sol finally snapped and started his killing spree. While his vengeance is centered around those he viewed to have betrayed their village, from his ravings to SYG, he would not have stopped once they were all dead, but would have cast a wider net to anyone who enters the mountain, his deranged mind convinced that the mountain itself wants to be rid of everyone. The one aberration from KHJ's visions is also explained, which is to identify him as the killer from the start despite there being no killings in the missing boy's case. Kim Sol is able to see KHJ after all, which was how he managed to overhear what was told to SYG the day she was in Black Bridge village. True to form, he too met his doom soon after while SYG herself barely escaped with her life, as is the fate of all who had seen him. I initially expected KHJ to be the one to stop him, but ultimately, it was the mountain that took his life, while KHJ and SYG's efforts ensured that his crimes were exposed, and his victims' death given its proper place instead of merely written off as accidents. The moment KHJ disappeared before her eyes upon the removal of the life support with tears flowing down his face, marked the moment his spirit was finally set free from the mountain, to return back to his physical body. While Kim Sol was not caught yet at the time, KHJ had finally accomplished all that he could - leaving the last marker that would prove the killer's guilt and put a stop to the killings. Despite the horrific crimes he perpetuated, Kim Sol is a tragic villain... a monster shaped out of traumatic circumstances, forced at an early age to confront the ugliness of greed and desperation that robbed him of his family and home, and he was as much a victim from the Black Bridge village as those whose lives he took. Ep16 brings us back full circle after all. Despite being cheated out of an actual date at Sonbawi Rock, we are given a sunrise mirroring the one SYG and KHJ basked in after saving the boy in Ep1, with the ominous air finally cleared up. How fitting that this drama would end on the sunrise of 2022 New Year's morning - heralding a new beginning for all. After all the heartache and loss, we are left with renewed hope that at long last, all the characters that we have come to care for are able to look forward to a better, happier tomorrow. And that is indeed, the healing drama that I had scarcely dared to hope that we would be given. So thank you, KEH-nim. I will miss them all now that it is finally over.
  3. @Chocolate While I guessed their common link to be Black Bridge village, I was totally barking up the wrong tree regarding a mysterious #13 in the list The fault at Black Bridge village lies both ways. I tend to think based on what Kim Sol's mother herself said, his father appeared genuinely concerned about the conservation of the mountain and their home, rather than just unwilling to lose the financial gain obtained from his occupation. Nonetheless, he also strikes me as someone who is strong-willed, and may not have easily budged based on his principles regarding conservation of the mountain. Regardless, there should have been frank discourse between the desperate villagers and himself, but clearly none of them tried to speak to him honestly about their situation and concerns. Perhaps if they had tried to present their case to him, the outcome might have been far different. Kim Sol became an orphan after everything that happened. Ep15 only covers the deaths of his mother and LSW's father. We don't know yet the truth behind his father's death. If indeed it was murder and Kim Sol was witness to it, I am not surprised his psyche is twisted as a result and chooses to lead LSW in the quest for vengeance. That being said, he has allowed his rage to consume him to the point where he has lost all reason, and holds no regard for collateral damage, nor any loyalty even to his accomplice when the plan is at risk of being exposed. Even if YGT had been on the van the day of the flood, there would have been others who are unrelated to the 1991 incident on board as well, but he still proceeded with his plan anyway. Likewise, the way he targeted his childhood friends ruthlessly, visiting the sins of the father (or mother) upon their children. Perhaps his intent was to wipe out all traces of anyone from the village after all e.g. killing both Granny Geum-rye and her son as well. LDW was killed sometime after the monthly meeting on 13 Oct 2020, while Jang Hak-su was killed 3 Nov 2020. The next day, Officer Kim was attacked at Black Bridge village, and presumably dead. As such, it's only been about 2-3 weeks since LDW's death. Capt. Jo, having been released from detention, is going into the mountain again. Will Kim Sol also turn on the one man who showed him kindness during that terrible time, or might he be persuaded by the older man? I think he is somewhat conflicted with regards to Capt Jo... planting the gloves to frame him for LDW's death, yet by telling SYG that the gloves could have easily been retrieved by a ranger, he is throwing suspicion off Capt. Jo and on to another unspecified ranger. But you're right. SYG should be the next intended victim. Since we hear Kim Sol saying he will kill her on the mountain, KHJ may be able to save her at last. There are concerns that the stills we see of KHJ are without life support, especially considering we had the yet unaired scene where he opens his eyes after the oxygen mask is removed. Two possible scenarios - perhaps his spirit returned just when the mask is removed after the killer is finally stopped, and the stills are of him able to breathe on his own now. The other more ominous, is that his eyes snapped open as a reflex when the mask is removed, and he died after that. I'm holding on to the 1st scenario, with him at last able to resume active duty back on the mountain once more, based on the preview of what appears to be him on Cheonwangbong peak.
  4. OST Part 12 Harmony of Leaves is released...
  5. The cast is saying their goodbyes.... but I'm not ready to leave... Jun Ji Hyun And Joo Ji Hoon Share Thoughts As They Say Goodbye To “Jirisan” TV/FILM Dec 12, 2021 by E. Cha “Jirisan” stars Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon have shared their thoughts ahead of the drama’s highly-anticipated finale! Penned by “Kingdom” writer Kim Eun Hee, “Jirisan” is a mystery drama starring Jun Ji Hyun as Seo Yi Kang, a top ranger at Mount Jiri National Park, and Joo Ji Hoon as her rookie partner Kang Hyun Jo, who is hiding a supernatural secret. Together, the two rangers uncover the truth behind mysterious accidents that occur on the mountain. With the series finale airing on December 12, Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon looked back on their experience filming the drama, which they described as both difficult and rewarding. Jun Ji Hyun remarked, “After we first started filming, winter passed by, and we got to see the autumn leaves fall from the trees, and we wrapped up filming right around when the woods were becoming green again. That’s how long our journey together was. It was a really happy time, and I think this is a drama that has left me with so many good memories.” She added, “I’m grateful to the many staff members, and I think this drama is one that will definitely remain in my memory.” Meanwhile, Joo Ji Hoon shared, “Of all the projects I’ve done up until now, this was the production that I spent the most time on, and I spent the most time as the character of Kang Hyun Jo. We really took each and every step of the journey together with the staff, and I poured all of my passion into filming the drama. Maybe that’s why, but I somehow remember filming each and every scene of the drama. I can recall where I went, when I filmed the scene, and how I felt during filming, which amazes me as well.” “I also think it’s a relief that no one got hurt and that we were able to wrap up this long and difficult filming without any big accidents,” he continued. “Everyone worked really hard, and thank you to the viewers as well.” The final episode of “Jirisan” will air on December 12 at 9 p.m. KST. cr. 6. At last, we are brought face to face with the killer and the confusion behind the migration list is cleared up. The herb collector who failed to cheat death a 2nd time was Jang Hak-su after all, while the Mr Jang who died at Mujin valley was Granny Geum-rye's son, Jang Min-hui. It should have occurred to me that the women's offspring would have a different surname, and we already knew that Granny Geum-rye had a son whom KHJ spoke to prior to his attack, but I never made the connection until it being spelt out to me in this episode. What is surprising is that all the villagers with the exception of LSW's father who had already died before that, signed the agreement form for the cable car project. However, it is telling that Kim Sol's father was the last to sign (15 Apr 1991) as compared to the others who signed between 3-10 Apr 1991. In addition, his form was the only one that was badly scrunched up, which seems to indicate resistance of some sort. Is his death the final mystery? Did he really sign the form, or was he killed and made to look like a suicide for refusing to sign, and his consent forged? Did little Kim Sol see this happen, which explains why he remembers so vividly, and is hellbent on vengeance? The Black Bridge villagers' desperation is understandable as their livelihoods were threatened, and the compensation money was their means of carving out a new life. Regardless, what they initiated snowballed into circumstances that went beyond their control - starting from the contamination of the well, to what befell Kim Sol's mother. I don't believe LSW's father was killed intentionally. Nonetheless, it's this accident that secured the cooperation of Officer Kim's father, and the rest of the villagers followed suit soon after that. Seeing Kim Sol's father was the last person standing between them and the compensation money, did the villagers allow their greed to take it to the bitter end and ensure that they achieved their goal, even if they had to kill to do so? Kim Sol's rendezvous with Officer Kim at Black Bridge village was at the older man's request. What was the reason for the meeting? We know Officer Kim is aware that his father very likely killed LSW's father, and he has seen the pattern of Black Bridge ex-residents dying in succession over the past 3 years. Was he planning to confront Kim Sol, or convince him to stop? Either way, KHJ has come upon Officer Kim's body. Is the man still alive? Now with the core team in the know about the markers and KHJ's spirit trying to catch the killer, there is hope that any markers KHJ makes will catch their attention and lead them to Officer Kim, hopefully in time to save him. Kim Sol is no longer trying to mask the killings as an accident, as evident from how he attacked Officer Kim. He is also very much aware that his identity has been exposed. However, the fact remains that SYG's accusations do not have a shred of proof that would tie back to him. Will he still try to take out the remaining 2 Black Bridge villagers - LYS's grandpa and Hwang Gil-yong - before they find the proof they need? Or will he try to destroy the evidence first? The race is now on to find his trophies of past killings, which would finally prove the link between those murders, and perhaps even point back to the killer. It is certainly a race against time, as the team tries to stop Kim Sol once and for all, before KHJ is taken off life support. Will they be in time? If Ep16 preview is to be believed, we will see KHJ alive and well on Cheonwangbong peak one day in the future. Please don't let this be just SYG's imagination of his spirit being finally free One more episode left.
  7. @Chocolate The standoff between Kim Sol and Officer Kim - both of whom has a veneer of geniality to those around them. Whichever one the killer is, it is chilling that he would even target those who were his close childhood friends the way he did, and turn on the one who was his accomplice when exposed.
  8. Part 11 OST is out - Valley of the Shadow. The lyrics doesn't seem to bode well for KHJ...
  9. @Chocolate Ditto. This drama keeps me engaged as well as emotionally invested in the characters, and my Sat and Sun nights 9PM KST are booked because of it. I am not under any illusion that it did not have issues, but I don't feel that it deserves the rants and mockery. The different timelines were never that confusing to begin with, and I love too how it keeps us guessing, starting from staring at the teeth of every male character to their attire and features . Am torn between eagerly awaiting Ep15 and so not willing for it to end just yet. Please let it end well.
  10. Love the teasers! Am thrilled to see OJS in a leading role, having first been introduced to him as the innocuous Jung Goo-yeong in Jirisan, followed by the despicable Kim Young-dae in Mistress, both of which showcase his amazing range. Can't wait!
  11. @Chocolate Thank you very much for the BTS. Can't imagine that in 2 days' time, it would have ended. I feel sad hearing Joo Jihoon talk about preparing for Jirisan and shooting for a long time, and hoping that viewers would send them a lot of love, especially seeing the snarky comments and complaints since its broadcast. Rooting for the drama to end on a high note. I for one, will be really sorry to see the last of the rangers that I have come to care for over the past 8 weeks.
  12. @Tofu Argh. Sounds like the book characters have even less chance of redemption than their drama counterparts. Was GHW still on her vindictive path when she was killed, or did she somehow manage to step aside? I also read somewhere (can't remember where!) that apparently JSW's character equivalent in the book is different - he somehow caused the death of the person bullying him, and he did not try to avoid the boy's mother whom he knew was coming to kill him, and ultimately died (not sure how accurate my recollection of the details are - my apologies if it's a jumbled mess!). Thankfully the drama left him alive, with a glimmer of hope there will be a future with him and GHW. Yes, please share if you manage to find the book @ktcjdrama Would definitely be interesting to know how much the drama departed from the novel.
  13. Watch: Jun Ji Hyun, Joo Ji Hoon, Oh Jung Se, And More Remain Cheerful Despite Difficult Filming Conditions For “Jirisan” TV/FILM Dec 9, 2021 by S. Nam tvN’s “Jirisan” released a new behind-the-scenes look at its intense action scenes! Spoilers The making-of video begins with Joo Min Kyung and Park Hwan Hee laughing while filming, despite the difficulty of the scene. Joo Min Kyung throws herself onto the ground, not holding back in the slightest. Meanwhile, Oh Jung Se also immerses himself in his role, desperately searching for Joo Min Kyung. In the next scene, the cast gathers together at a water tank set for filming where they create heavy fake rain and winds to simulate a strong storm. Oh Jung Se dives into the water without hesitation, and the rest of the cast follows suit. Later, Joo Ji Hoon jokingly mentions Oh Jung Se’s method acting when he sees the other spacing out before filming. On the mountains, the actors are busy running across the forest in order to film their rescue scenes. When Joo Ji Hoon walks over, Jun Ji Hyun asks accusingly, “Is he not running?” Joo Ji Hoon explains, “Our relationship isn’t good right now because you said, ‘You killed my grandmother!'” Jun Ji Hyun suddenly recalls the scene, and Joo Ji Hoon jokes, “I should be moving, but it’s [a little awkward between us].” Jun Ji Hyun also congratulates Oh Jung Se for his win at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Supporting Actor. She teases, “Since you won Best Supporting Actor, something should have changed.” After a serious scene, Sung Dong Il sets a hilarious mood on set by jokingly cursing at Oh Jung Se for fake crying. Oh Jung Se plays along and apologizes profusely. Later, when Jun Ji Hyun keeps stumbling over her lines, Oh Jung Se and Jo Han Chul can’t hold back their laughter. While filming with fake snow, Jun Ji Hyun gets excited and tries to throw herself onto the snow, but it isn’t as satisfying as she expected. She also gets playful and throws a snowball at the director, who replies that there isn’t time for a snowball fight. After she falls into the snow for one of the scenes, the director walks over to help her up while laughing. Jun Ji Hyun jokingly asks, “Director, are you embarrassed of me? Why are you laughing? I can’t do this. I can’t do this shoot.” Despite the nature of the scenes, the cast remains cheerful the entire time while filming. Sung Dong Il collapses after running up the mountain, and Oh Jung Se talks about how Sung Dong Il ran so fast he couldn’t catch up. Sung Dong Il explains that it’s because he also has the duty of performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on Joo Ji Hoon. Check out the full making-of video below! cr. Soompi
  14. @Tofu It definitely would have been far better if we could have seen the lies finally come to an end, despite the bitter consequences. Ultimately, the drama gave us an ending which showed JHJ willingly punishing herself for all that transpired, hence the chiming of the bell to show her that she is finally forgiven. I wish GHW was not party to the lies after her long, difficult journey to break free, especially since she herself set store by using only truth as a weapon. Do you know how the book ended? Any idea where we could see a summary, preferably translated?
  15. @ktcjdrama I don't know anymore. Kim and Lee are very common surnames, so I don't really know whether both of them are meant to be related or not. Hopefully it's explained this week. 2 more days to go!
  16. @ktcjdrama You're right! It does look like the numbers 13 -15 are just part of the list. Thank you for pointing that out! I think the migration list entries are based on head of the families, not individuals. Therefore, spouses would not be counted. In Ep14, there were 15 people when they held the meeting to reject the compensation money that day, including Kim Sol's parents and LSW's father. However, there is only one unidentified man standing next to LSW's father but Choi Sang-gyeong, Hwang Gil-yong and Kim Seong-guk are unaccounted for. The herb collector previously mentioned "Mr Jang, [Choi] Gi-yeong, and Mr Hwang" as those who saw KHJ's spirit and died or almost died, which means he is definitely not Choi Sang-gyeong or Hwang Gil-yong. Either way, I am still stuck with 1 name "Kim Seong-guk", and 2 possibilities - the herb collector or Officer Kim's father. 1. Choi Il-man volunteer ranger (victim #6) 2. Lee Jong-gu volunteer ranger (victim #3) 3. Kim Jin-deok volunteer ranger (victim #4) 4. Kim Nam-sik ranger (son Sgt. Kim was victim #1) 5. Lee Jae-geun LYS's grandpa (LYS was attempted victim #7) 6. Seo Geum-ja (victim #2) 7. Granny Geum-rye (victim #5) 8. Heo Jin-ok lady hiker 9. Hwang Gil-yong volunteer ranger (attempted victim at Jeonmukgol) 10. Jang Hak-su volunteer ranger (died at Mujin valley) 11. Kim Seong-guk Officer Kim's father, or herb collector who died in Ep14? 12. Choi Sang-gyeong (related to Choi Gi-yeong who died in Oerae valley Mar 2020?) The herb collector has to be from Black Bridge village since he was targeted twice. Assuming the migration list is complete, does it then mean that Officer Kim's father did not migrate either? But if he didn't, where was he? We know he is still alive in 2002. I'm confused. Either way, hopefully all this will be cleared up in the last 2 episodes.
  17. Ireland BTS... I'm guessing these are the domestic shoots that are supposed to be of Ireland. How picturesque it is...
  18. @AABattery Thank you very much for your kind words. The drama kept GHW's past relationship with SWJ very much muted, but when I think about it, we only assumed their relationship was casual, when it was anything but. Although GHW told JHJ that they were registering their marriage to utilise the benefits for married couples and unlike JHJ, she does not view marriage as her only chance to change her life around, she also spoke of being happy and willing to work hard to support them both while they were abroad. We also see SWJ's memories of radiance emanating from GHW as she was painting, her unbridled joy when she noticed his presence during their time in university - which indicates that he too, was once entranced by her. And what I (and probably SWJ as well) was too dense to pick up on at the time were the words GHW threw at him - about something precious they lost which they could never have anymore. As such, rather than just a one-sided love, he too must have loved her once and they were definitely lovers before JHJ turned his world (and hers) upside down. The way I see it, GHW's hesitation upon realising Li-sa was responsible was what JHJ pounced on. I am not quite as certain that she was planning to leave prior to being confronted by GHW. Rather, my thinking is that with the secret exposed, short of killing GHW too, she could only throw herself at the mercy of the younger woman and hope that she could convince her to cover up the crime. It benefits no one else except Li-sa - certainly not JHJ who stands to lose everything she has fought so hard, put up with so much for. Her way of dealing with the matter is still in keeping with her character all along. JHJ once told GHW that she would always choose to lie to protect those closest to her rather than destroy them with the truth, and this is exactly what she is doing once more. In order to shield them from the consequences of Li-sa's actions, she would rather perpetuate a web of lies to cocoon them. This time, because it is something she could no longer cover up on her own, she finally chose to give up everything in exchange for GHW's help - be reviled as a shameless woman who ran off with her lover, rather than have Li-sa stand trial and possibly incarcerated for manslaughter of her mother's lover. However, I do agree with you that JHJ finally understood enormity of what her self-centred actions had cost her - she pretty much described it in a nutshell when she told her husband that she should have been content with her family who loved her instead of destroying it through her foolish greed. She could never come back from hiding, because doing so would leave the doors open to questions about SWJ's whereabouts, which she had no way to providing a convincing answer. Thus this is the penance she accepted, until she knows all is well with everyone she wronged. And her life might have ended then, if not for the chiming of the bells she heard that finally told her she was forgiven at last.
  19. @Chocolate After crying so much over Ep13, the BTS turned it all into a comedy - the wailing lion, the running cheetah, the stone statue
  20. Can't wait! I wish they were more generous with the BTSes - just one a week is not enough... gah!
  21. @akikisetsu I think GHW pinned all her hopes and dreams on SWJ, especially when she knew she was pregnant, which is why her world shattered after he left her without a word and she lost her baby after that. I wish she had made a conscious decision to move on even though it is so difficult not having any closure. As much as I dislike SWJ, he was right when he said she had people who cared about her, particularly knowing how much her grandpa loved her and saved her from suicide. If only she had found comfort in their love, and obtained the strength to move on. However, I think the reason she couldn't was because he left her without any explanation, not once but twice. The first time when he upped and left for Ireland after their marriage. The second time when he called her, promising to return and explain everything, only to once again leave her waiting in vain after dangling hope in front of her, and that was the reason she finally snapped. I wish with the recovery of his memories, GHW finally knew what he promised to tell her when he called, but instead we see an obsessive man running after JHJ with scant regard for the woman he wronged. It speaks to her resolve that she finally chose to sign the divorce papers without ever hearing the explanation she had waited so long for, so I believe that even if he had not died, she would have moved on at last. It is true that Li-sa is always sheltered from the aftermath of her actions, from the malicious posts she uploaded of LJY, to stabbing SWJ. We are not told if Li-sa's parents actually knew the root cause of LJY's video upload. Certainly, JHJ was not interested in the details, only brushing it aside and demanding that GHW tell LJY that this was the wrong approach even if Li-sa was to blame. Therein lies the arrogance of the rich and powerful, believing that they could get away with anything because they are far more privileged. Nonetheless, I am glad GHW advised LJY to stop based on the principle that it was not true. It is regrettable that she herself ended up mired in the lies that both she and JHJ cooked up to protect Li-sa even though JHJ finally apologised and agreed to give up everything in return. I don't believe they did Li-sa any favours in doing so even though she may not have known what she actually did. Still, from what we are shown, Li-sa too has moved on alongside the rest of her family. Another BTS was released today... can we still have more please, JTBC?
  22. @SnowBlob Kim Sol was talking about Lee Se-wook's father who died in an accident in Black Bridge village, not Officer Kim's. From the preview, we will learn more about that death. I am inclined to think Kim Sol's father did not commit suicide as well, but was probably killed and made to look like a suicide. If Kim Sol found out or actually saw it happen, I am not surprised he is out for vengeance. Yup Yup. Looks like the core team are all in the clear. I doubt that we will see a previously unseen character pulled out at the last minute - would be very disappointed if that did happen. Can't believe we have 2 eps left. 4 more days to go!
  23. @SnowBlob Yes, KHJ and SYG accidentally stumbled upon the killer's trophies when they took cover in Black Bridge valley shelter. I don't recall it mentioned that Officer Kim's father died... do you remember which episode it was? If so, there is no explanation why the herb collector was targeted. As such, I am inclined to think he is Kim Seong-guk from the list, and Officer Kim's family unaccounted for except for the mysterious #13. Yes, thus far Hwang Gil-yong is not credited in Asianwiki even though we have met him in Ep8 when SYG asked him about having seen KHJ's spirit before his accident. I don't think ranger Hwang who was among the ones who found LDW's body, is related to him though. Too many common surnames in the drama, making us look at every other person with beady eyes!
  24. @SnowBlob The killer is targeting all the residents who migrated, and YGT whose cable car plans brought about the tragedy in the village. We don't know whether the killer actually saw KHJ's spirit... but if he did, looks like he is also at risk himself, which would make saving KHJ simpler My take is that during their conversation, SYG repeated what KHJ told her about the location and time of the next death, which the killer overheard. The items found at Black Bridge valley shelter are trophies the killer collected from each murder - Sgt Kim's military dog tags, snapped rope, Granny Geum-rye's hiking shoes, Choi Il-man's snake trap etc. These were meant to be retrieved by the support team from other stations, but the killer removed them from the cave before the support team arrive, which led the rangers to assume another team had cleaned up before their arrival. Speaking of the migration list, I am still hung up over the unlisted #13 from the original list KHJ saw. Since the herb collector was specifically targeted, I assume that he is #11 Kim Seong-guk. The preview says that there are 3 survivors left excluding Officer Kim and Kim Sol - which should be LYS's grandpa, the lady hiker HJO and Hwang Gil-yong who survived the attempt at Jeonmukgol. In which case, the family of Officer Kim is unaccounted for in the list. Is his family the unnamed #13?
  25. I agree that KHJ is way too quick to trust Kim Sol after catching him at the exact place and time stated by the killer. Perhaps it also has to do with Kim Sol's glib explanations. I still wonder why Officer Kim messaged him to meet at the same time stated in the caller ID restricted SMS HJO received. Was it to hint that he is on to him? Or is it to distract him while he relocates the woman to safety? KHJ as a spirit doesn't appear to be able to move much faster across the mountain. You're both right about the fact that he should have used twigs or stones to activate the walkie-talkie. I will give him a free pass though and say that he was panicking and did not think it through. I also doubt that he knows the impact it has on his physical body from contact with items not native to the mountain. @Chocolate LYS being found at the 11th hour, possibly recuperating as an amnesiac Jane Doe in the same hospital as HJO would be awesome despite the ridiculousness of the premise, if only to see JGY find happiness once more. KEH-nim, please? There should still be time to reshoot the scenes if that was not part of your game plan from the start! Love the idea of having the lottery ticket expired after all the heartbreak she caused due to her incessant search. KEH-nim? This one too please? SYG's grandma and friends boarded the ecology evaluators van at KHJ's suggestion, because they had many things to carry and their driver had gone to deliver food to the fire department, leaving them with no transport. As such, his well-meaning recommendation was the reason they were on the van at the wrong time. I thought PIH and JGY only heard static and not KHJ's voice over the walkie-talkie. But definitely, if they could hear him, they would be far more convinced of the supernatural happenings. As it is, they already appear to trust her, despite how far-fetched her requests may be. Since we have 2 episodes left, my guess is KHJ is resuscitated after that, but the toll on his body is so great that it is no longer viable to keep him on life support. The group of people on the peak of the mountain are very likely his parents and family, who have come to say their final goodbyes. It is possible that as foretold by the shaman girl, KHJ's spirit will never be able to leave the mountain, even after the killer has stopped. In which case, the healing KEH has in mind could be SYG dying and be able to finally reunite with him, their spirits continuing on as mountain guardians. Regardless, hopefully she will be kind and allow KHJ to recover in time once the killer is stopped, as the preview of him opening his eyes seem to indicate. I really want to see them scale the mountains together hand in hand once more, protecting the mountain they love as well as each other. Perhaps even having a date at Sonbawi Rock at the end, bringing them full circle back to Ep1, when SYG scoffed at the couple who went on a hiking date there
