Hyun Bin to return as North Korean agent in CONFIDENTIAL ASSIGNMENT sequel

CJ ENM on Friday announced that Hyun Bin will join the sequel of the Korean comedy-action film CONFIDENTIAL ASSIGNMENT and play North Korean agent Lim Cheol-ryeong again.

Released in January 2017, the original CONFIDENTIAL ASSIGNMENT was a movie about an inter-Korean secret police mission. The film at the time garnered more than 7.81 million viewers.

Hyun Bin’s character Lim in the previous film was dispatched to South Korea to capture his superior Cha Ki-seong that murdered his wife and fellow team members.

In the new movie, Hyun Bin’s character will again be dispatched to South Korea to hunt down a leader of a North Korean criminal organization. This time the North Korean agent will show how more comfortable he became working on his mission in South Korea.

Along with Hyun Bin, veteran actor Yoo Hye-jin and Yoona of Girls’ Generation, both of whom appeared in the original movie, will also star in the sequel. Yoo will be playing South Korean cop Kang Jin-tae that wants again joins his hand with Lim in the sequel. Yoona will be playing a YouTuber who shows her affection for Hyun Bin’s character.

In addition, Korean-American actor Daniel Henney and veteran Korean actor Jin Sun-kyu will join the cast. Henney will be playing FBI agent Jack, who also works with Lim and Kang to capture the North Korean criminal organization in the movie. Jin will be playing villain Jang Myeong-jun, who is the leader of the North Korean criminal organization that agents and cops are chasing.

The film will be directed by Lee Seok-hoon, who is known for director hit movies like “The Himalayas“ in 2015 and “The Pirates” in 2014, and begin shooting in February.

We are on the second arc of the show and I am curious now how will the story be resolved considering the end game for Cheoljong and Cheorin in history --

Marriage- 1851.

Cheoljong will die of illness (1864) , however there was a suspected foul play on this by the Andong Kim clan.

Cheorin was  able to bear an heir in 1858 but their son died six months after. Later on, the rival party of her clan (c/o the Queen Dowager 's relatives) will take charge in choosing the next king since Cheoljong has an unqualified son from lower rank consort.  She died in 1878, 14 years after Cheoljong 's death. And what about Bong Hwan ? 

-will he able to return to the future , with memories intact or not?

-the soul of So Young is not transported back in the past , when Bong Hwan regained his consciousness in 2020 . Perhaps, she really died in her time but resurrected by Bong Hwan 's soul.

I finished episode 1 during the weekdays (while working at home, it was playing on my tv ) . Thanks VIU for subbing this !

I was a follower of Youn's Kitchen and it was a blast when they did the Spain stop. Now it is getting more interesting because they are managing a 'hotel' , an upgrade from a restaurant setting which is more challenging. The location of the lodges versus the management's house is hilarious. I can imagine more wonshik's name being blurted out by his bosses haha. 

While I watch most of Mr. Dimples' variety than his dramas, I like how he again magnify his skills even if he's a lousy Vice President. Can't wait how he will be patient with that new menu he will be serving at Youn's Stay. 

TvN’s “Youn’s Stay” Received Mixed Reviews Immediate After Its First EP

The tvN reality program Youn’s Stay of Na Young Seok received reached 10% in viewer ratings with its first episode. It has mixed reviews from the viewers

This reality show features Yoon Yeo Jung, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yoo Mi, Park Seo Joon, and Choi Woo Shik, who is in charge of managing the hostel from preparing food, tending to the visitors’ requests, and keeping the place at tip-top shape. In this show, they invite visitors from other countries to experience Korean culture.

With the work, the scale of the hostel is very large which is creating worry for cast in the viewer’s mind.

Some are expressing their voices of concern regarding how exhausted the cast looks.

• “I’d run away even if I was just working part-time.”

• “They have so much work to do.”

• “The place is huge with a lot of customers.”

• “It must be hard enough maintaining the place, but they have to provide food, too.

On the other hand, other viewers are loving the theme of the show and argue that it’s just a variety show.

• “The theme of the show makes it that much more entertaining to watch.”

• “It’s only fun because they’re busy.”

• “It’d be boring if they weren’t busy.”

• “Na Young Seok, you should get moving, too.”

[Throwback]South Korean Actress Moon Chae Won Says She ‘Learned How To Act More Freely’ Because Of Yoo Yeon Seok

Moon Chae Won said her co-actor Yoo Yeon Seok has helped developed her acting skills while filming "Mood of the Day." The two actors play the lead roles for the South Korean film, along with Jo Jae Yoon, Park Min Woo, Lee Yeon Doo, Kang Soo Jin and Lee Un Jung.

In an interview with Korea Joongang Daily, the 30-year-old actress shared how she and Yoo Yeon Seok differ in acting style.

"His acting style was different from mine," Moon said, referring to Yoo. "I tend to prepare a lot a day before I go on the set, probably because I have done more dramas than films."

"For dramas, the schedule is much tighter, so if you are not fully prepared, you miss a lot of the parts in the screenplay and on-screen situations. On the other hand, Yoo is the type who believes in the energy you get from the set, throwing out spontaneous ideas and trying to synergize with partners."

She went on, "Thanks to him, I learned how to act more freely on set and play around with the screenplay."

When asked why she has chosen "Mood of the Day," Moon said, "I liked the nuance I got from its title, which is one of the most important factors for me when choosing a project. And then, when I read the screenplay, I liked how nicely and purely it depicted a day a strange man and woman wind up spending together."

"It wasn't in any way sexual but rather very sentimental. There were no intended connotations about one-night stands or serious relationships. So I thought the audience would feel comfortable with it and perceive it as pure entertainment," she added.

During a press preview of the film, Moon said she "[does not] have such concrete thought on easy-come-easy-go relationships."

In the film, Moon plays as Soo Jung who was pursued by a man she just met, Jae Hyun (Yoo Yeon Seok), who immediately asked her to sleep with him on the day they first met, as per Kpop Herald Jan. 6.

"Mood of the Day" was released last January 14.

Moon Chae Won talks about Han Hyo Joo, Moon Geun Young and Son Ye Jin

Actress Moon Chae Won reveals her best friends as actresses Moon Geun Young, Han Hyo Joo, and Son Ye Jin.

The winner of the 48th Grand Bell Awards and the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for her role in the movie ‘Arrow: The Ultimate Weapon’, actress Moon Chae Won conducted an interview with KBS ‘Entertainment Report’ on the 7th of January, 2012.

Moon Chae Won stated during the interview, “It’s only been 4 years since I debuted. My first piece was the youth drama ‘Mackerel Run’. Naturally I have a lot of love for the piece.”

She was soon shown a clip from the drama ‘Mackerel Run’ and when Lee Min Ho appeared in the clip the interviewer asked, “Do you still keep in touch with Lee Min ho?” and she looked a bit surprised at the question and couldn’t quite answer saying, “Contact…”.

Then she was asked who her best friends were and the actress stated, “Moon Geun Young and Han Hyo Joo”.

Moon Chae Won also added, “I’m also close to Son Ye Jin sunbae as well, we are represented by the same management company”

A lot of "Don't judge a book by its cover" moments, which were literally began in episode 1 one Cheoljong is reading a scholar version of GQ Magazine. This is a drama of disguises, from the queen dowager 's obsession for beauty down to our dear  's inner struggles ..

Like @JenL i am also reading thru the webtoon app. And I stopped reading it until Suho - jugyeong will happen there. 

Apparently some of the scenes in the webtoon (Jugyeong-SeoJoon) were modified to Jugyeong-Suho instead. 

And TrueBeautyEp9 is trending on twitter because of those changes. I can't blame the team seojoon fans. But with the casting, I guess we can have a team suho as the end game or the writer will have an open ending instead, while the webtoon is still on going. 

So I was actually hoping this kind of character for PSH because she was fiesty in her movie ‘Alive’

Both are having a blast on IG , specially MCW's who has recently opened her official account in December. Fans thought that it is just merely for 'official' posts like behind the scenes and such. However, surprise , surprise--she is also involved by continuing her hobby of movie recos !

Lo and behold, the theme of the movie posted by Bbong is all about choices--career vs love. And here's a specific question in the movie :
