  1. To be honest, I don't understand how In Ha could have known Tae Oh's capability can help him snatch the heir's throne when they were only in high school. Being academically good in school is completely different to being good at scheming and playing work politics. Not like Tae Oh is Ling Bu Yi (Love Like the Galaxy), if you all know what I mean. When Tae Oh declares he would help In Ha get to the top, to be honest, if I were In Ha I wouldn't have believed it. I'd probably take it as a grain of salt and think "we shall see". So, I do think at first In Ha was probably keeping Tae Oh at bay, and observe how far he could go...

I also think he's stupid for throwing away Tae Oh so soon. He himself still has a long way to go. Unless his own capability is as good or better than Tae Oh, it would have been useful to have Tae Oh on his side against his father. I suppose it is because he realised Tae Oh isn't the obedient pet he had hoped, since Tae Oh would keep things from him.

@JenL Let's hope LJW's next drama with Jo Bo Ah is better.

    Episode 9-10 Preview

LOL, Tae Oh escaped prison! He'll work with the prosecutor again. And waaa, I was just talking about In Ha might kill his dad and he really did...!?

So, my friend is watching this too and she likes it. She thinks Kim Soo Hyun is cute too.

So I asked her, how about if compared to Hyun Bin?

    She says:

    Hyun Bin is old already.

Did you see his recent hairstyle at the baseball match with Ye Jin, Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo. Is he filming something that needs long hair?

The truth is I feel little for Tae Oh or Hye Won.

This is so true. I don't feel emotionally invested or attached to any of the characters in here. They are all annoying to me. Nobody is likeable! It puzzles me in the first place why Tae Oh wants to make In Ha the heir. He hasn't revealed what he truly wants from all of this either, and now he tells Hye Won he has changed what he wants.

One thing though, I believe Chairman is the key to helping TaeOh . He senses something is not right with the death of his oldest son. He’ll want to get to the bottom of that.

No King would like a son that threatens their throne. Chairman is the key to subdue or exile In Ha for sure. Tae Oh could make good use of this evidence against In Ha, if he has it. The Chairman won't appreciate Tae Oh getting rid of his brother that way, as it means he could do the same to the Chairman.

I hope episode 12 ends the story properly. I don't think this drama is interesting and rich enough to have a S2.

  4. [Casting News] Kim Soo Hyun In Talks For New Drama By “Forest Of Secrets 2” Director

Kim Soo Hyun may be gearing up for his next acting project!

On March 21, OSEN reported that Kim Soo Hyun is positively in talks to star in the upcoming series “Knock Off” (working title), which will be helmed by “Forest of Secrets 2” (“Stranger 2”) director Park Hyun Suk.

In response to the report, a representative of Kim Soo Hyun’s agency GOLDMEDALIST shared, “Kim Soo Hyun is positively in talks to star in ‘Knock Off.'”

A source from the production company further revealed that Kim Soo Hyun is in talks to play the leading role and that the broadcast channel and platform are still under discussion. According to the reports, “Knock Off” is a new black comedy series, and it is in talks to broadcast through an OTT (over-the-top) platform.

Anyone watched this week’s yet? I saw spoilers & wahh there was a kiss & lots of development. I am assuming that Ji Han knows about DoHan being gay right? And that the marriage is just a contract?

Haven't watched. Decided to watch Impossible Heir first thinking it was finale 😅

Oh wait, I did watch the first night's episode but didn't really pay attention. Yes, Ji Han found out Do Han is gay from the ex. But I don't think he knows it was a contract marriage, yet. He's acting out purely on his own beliefs that they won't be happy, and he did not let Ah Jung knows he knows Do Han is gay.

I didn't feel anything for the kiss.

It would have been lovely though if they could make cameos. Their replacements however are also OK - Zhang Miao Yi was the FL of When I Fly Towards You, another novel of Zhu Yi adapted into drama, the author of HL and FF. She's a cutie like ZLS.

I tried to watch Fly, but couldn't stomach it - don't really like the FL's act cute either 🤷🏻‍♀️

  7. Episode 7-8

    The twist. Ha.

Now we watch if Tae Oh can turn the events around. Battle of wits. So all these times, there was never a friendship. In Ha was also just using Tae Oh all along. And now it is clear why he went after Hye Won. There was no love. He just wanted to control Tae Oh.

In Ha cannot be the heir. He would be a cold-blooded tyrant. Now Hye Won wants Tae Oh to help her get LJ Group. I don't know, man, as smart as Tae Oh, he might as well just get LJ Group himself.

I hope the North Korean hacker will be OK, now that In Ha has found him. In Ha killed his older brother and now attempts to get rid of Tae Oh, so it is hard to say if he'll spare hacker guy. However, I also think he might let him live because hacker guy is capable. Let's just hope hacker guy is more loyal than he is willing to admit.

  8. @ssteph! Jung Hae In and Kim Soo Hyun are friends too. Soo Hyun mentioned they met at DP set and Hae In called him out to play golf. I'm sure you already know. One less connection to figure out later 😆

Do Song Joong Ki play golf? Maybe all of them connection through golf.

  9. @peperomia I am recommending Queen of Tears, too! Come join us there!

    What's JSJ? An actor's initial?

Yeah, I will miss Park Hyung Sik again. His last (sageuk) drama was quite lacklustre. I really like Happiness, though. Hopefully he does another good one.

I've watched a fair few of dramas where Yoon Park is playing unlikeable characters, so I'm happy that this time he's finally a nice person.

@mademoiselle I’m with you on being a crackpot for this drama

It's so nice to find another crack (happy) drama, isn't it? I think my last one was Destined With You. Is your hubby still watching with you? What does he think of that scene where Soo Hyun threw the bike aside? LMAO.

The biggest and saddest reveal this week was the loss of the baby. Very heartbreaking and very likely what led to the marriage breaking down. My guess is it probably looked like Haein lost the baby because she was “careless” at work and she likely brushed it off as ‘better anyway since it would be a hindrance to her work life’ because she’s the sort that needs to rationalise away her hurt. If she had done that, then it would’ve led to a huge fight between them. Something similar probably happened with her older brother’s death which was why her mum blamed her for the selfishness with which she responded to his death. Truth is more likely that Haein carries deep hurt and guilt for her brother’s death and baby’s miscarriage. This life incident also sheds light on why she didn’t want to let her parents know about her illness - she has actually experienced the pain of losing a child. I wonder if her parents knew about her pregnancy. They may live on the same compound but they clearly have their own quarters.

I think you probably hit a nail there on Hae In's reaction to the baby loss. Her pretense, or maybe I should say protection mechanism, might be the cause of their break in the marriage. Whatever it is, I'm all for learning more about it. Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won just works for me as an on-screen couple. I am not yet invested in their romance but I like the visual.

Oh yeah, I'm devastated why they did not have a couple photoshoot like others! I hope they'll do one later!

Did you end up watching Exhuma @mademoiselle and was it good?

No, I didn't sleep well on Friday so I stayed home. I shall attempt again this week.

Hahaha, I think Chun Song Yi was still cold in My Love From the Stars, but like diva-cold (ie. the kind to act emotional whhen it comes to tantrums, but not when it comes to being friendly.) Do Ming Joon was more stoic cold. I don't know if I feel like he's completely like CSY, but I can see where he's coming from

I don't think what Soo Hyun mean is Hyun Woo having Song Yi's characterisation. I believe he meant Hyun Woo has to do comedic scenes just like JJH did for Chun Song Yi. I saw the BTS cuts on weibo, it didn't seem that hard for him, and he was being a dork and does a lot of ad-libs.

@SilverMoonTea said she's dropping the drama already because she doesn't like the baby loss bit. :idk: And married couple doesn't appeal her unless they are cheating, right, Tea? HAHAHA

Hahaha am I so forgetable? I've been around more consistently lately!

LOL. This is a trick question that needs to be answered carefully. Friendship is on the line. HAHAHA! Nah, it was because you love to come to play when I'm asleep. I check JH when I wake up, then go to work. I can't answer during work hours unless WFH. During work hours, this thread went onto a new page and I got busy around that time, so I forgot.

You can't be mad at me (for real) because you've ignored so many of my tags before  I've immunity!

Girl. Dr. Slump is over. The Impossible Heir also ends this week. You can add Moving back in!

Me too. You know, if it isn't In Ha that set him up, then it would be In Ha's dad. Ah well, we'll find out this week.

Speaking of Lee Jae Wook, I think you once asked me once on a thread how the film Kill Bok Soon was (film that LJW cameo'ed in) since you said you don't often watch Korean films compared to dramas. I always wanted to reply, but I don't think I did. I'm not sure if you ended up watchiing it. I liked the premise of a world with assain guilds etc and the main character being an assasin that found killing people easier than raising a teenage daughter. The film turned out to be a bit too overdramatic to me, but I really llike LJW's cameo. He plays the younger version of a character (head of assasins) who falls in love with Bok Soon when they're teenagers. It happens when he is going to kill her dad, but then she agrees he should do it nonchalantly. He looks so floored when she agrees to it and they play this happy old school song and it's just clear that he's in love ('This guy's in love with you' by Herb Alpert). It was such a strange scene but really worked in this drama.

LOL, yeah, what took you so long to reply? I didn't watch it yet. There are a fair few dramas/movies out on NF that I was not motivated to check it out. Kill Bok Soon is one of them because there's no oppa motivation, and I wasn't in the mood for gangster/violence/killing kind of story.

@abs-oluteM I did not realise The Chicken Nuggets is a drama. Can you give us a review when you start watching? I kinda can't get with the idea that Kim You Jung became a nugget.
