  1. Oh no! In that case, there is still plenty of time for noble idiocy and/or for the cray-cray people to plot to do more evil things. Still, here is hoping for good things to happen in this drama. Thanks for the info @Zoaze!
  2. Oooh. SJ will finally figure out that YY is the wife of the man who died. Also, YY will finally agree to meet the person who received the donation of DJ's eyes. Funny to see HH go down on her knees to KJ. Is this a 100 episode drama or a 120 episode drama? Anyway, I hope it's late enough that YY and KJ weather the remaining drama together rather than any noble idiocy from either one.
  3. Actually, I liked this scene between SJ and HM. SJ tells HM that she's being foolish to which HM smirks that at least it had some desired effect. SJ then tells HM that his mother is KJ's stepmother who wanted him to go higher than his brother. His mother had wanted a woman from a middling family who would be obedient as KJ's wife in order to be able to control KJ, and that's why she had selected HM. HM asks whether HH had been using her all along for HH's own purposes rather than because HH liked her in any way. SJ responds that it's good that HM finally realized that, and to take better care of herself in the future. HM is still cray-cray, but perhaps her pride will keep her from continuing to make scenes at the office? Well, guess not, since the preview shows her making another scene at the office.
  4. Preview translation HM: Don’t say such things to me. I’m having such a hard time. KJ Father: How about if you go work at the Chinese branch office for a few years? HM: China? Why? DS Mother: Actually, Eun Jin isn’t that welcome a partner for Do Shik, but what can we do? EJ Mother: Why? What is wrong with Eun Jin? EJ Mother: This marriage! Don’t even dream of it! DS Mother: Don’t even dream of it! Grandfather: Are you still not able to get news of the family of the eye donor for Kyung Jun? KJ: Even once would be fine. I wanted to convey this gratitude I feel to them some time in my life time.
  5. My thoughts exactly. I think both DY and DS actually showed sense in this episode. Perhaps they are finally becoming more mature? This was really sweet. I was happy that DY wasn't taken in by HM's histrionics. She's really manipulative and narcissistic, and HM's parents only feed into her madness and obsession with KJ. Then again, it seems all of the characters do. Nope. He's cray-cray as well. Good of DS to call it as it is, that CY is trying to blackmail his family into opposing YY's relationship so that his daughter can get him. Why do these people think that KJ is going to do something that he's clearly stated he has no intentions of doing? Nothing. HM and her parents would be able to do nothing about it. And the issue is not that YY is an outsider. In fact, it's only because YY is a member of the family, albeit as an in-law that HM and her delusional folks are doing anything at all. The problem is that they all feel that HM is a much better marriage catch than YY, since HM is better educated, was raised with more money, has never been married, and is considered to be pretty. So their pride, including HM's, is hurt that a great guy like KJ would actually prefer the "lesser" YY than their precious princess HM. However, they can't express it that way, so they just go on and on about how HM should get KJ. I'm so sick of these dramas objectifying people, though. It makes me wonder if that is still reflective of current SK society. Then again, the drama is depicting that as evil and delusional, so maybe they're trying to preach against that? Anyway, if KJ had decided to marry another woman who wasn't a member of their family, then they would have no leverage against the other woman, however, HM would probably have kept harassing KJ unless KJ married the daughter of a chaebol in which case HM would have accepted it since she would understand that as KJ marrying someone "better" than herself. And, that's an ugh that money and birth status still seem to be so predominant in acceptance/non-acceptance in SK. Can't wait until it's revealed that CY has lost his job and they are about to be poor. It would be good for them all to realize that they can't just buy their way through life. I thought this was a sweet scene between KJ and SJ. I wasn't surprised that KJ talked to SJ about the DNA test as soon as he could, and also liked that he reassured SJ of their brother relationship. Was a bit surprised that KJ told SJ to do as his mother said and hide the results from their father and grandfather, but then again, their father probably would be very upset that his son was not his birth son and that his wife had lied to him their entire relationship. The video preview was blah so not bothering to translate it.
  6. In the scene, they mention that they had heard that NS would inherit the company since he was serious with the CEO's daughter. NS doesn't really disavow that too much. Yes. NS has just gotten slimier and slimier as the drama progressed.
  7. Mint is a marketing and ad agency supposedly with a global reach, so Deep Cosmetics would potentially be looking to outsource some of their marketing work. If that's the case, they probably don't need 2 internal marketing teams, and that's why they were talking about a reduction of marketing staff. Since NS brought about the partnership, it would make sense to reduce the other marketing team and possibly fold into a single team. As a contractor, SR would probably have her contract terminated. Only an employee who has the power to sign on behalf of the company could actually enter into a contract. It's not clear that NS has ever had this power to sign on behalf of the company. Rather, he seemed to have been involved in vendor management post-contracts. However, that position would still have a lot of power since he could recommend that they terminate a contract or renew it. NS is still counting on his relationship with JH to shield him somewhat since he doesn't know how much MY knows about his doings. Also, given how the Mint team was treating NS, it feels as if there is something fishy going on there as well. Anyway, the whole deal with Mint was not presented all that well, and I think it's just meant to be a plot device to finally bring NS down somehow.
  8. Even dumber that HM had no actual intention of killing herself. She's using it as a ploy to get attention, and she succeeded. I kind of wondered if the initial intent had been to have HM and SJ paired off. (KJ is the male lead, and SJ is his younger brother). And, there were some episodes where SJ looked as if he were attracted to HM. However, it seems that they've decided to go with the HM being stupid and not being able to let go of KJ instead.
  9. LOL. I didn't think of that as a reason for HJ and MY to move into the household. It makes some sense for HJ to move in since she's living with her family, however, MY has his own house, so it makes less sense for SR not to move into his house. Especially if JH is going to go live with her grandmother instead.
  10. This video clips contains both one of the sweetest scenes in today's episode and one of the most reprehensible. SR: When we were coming, we were so worried and frightened, but now as we’re leaving, it’s so nice and relaxing. MY: That’s true. How happy these normal bits of every day life can be is something that you really only realize in moments like these. SR: I am curious as to how they’ll change the way they address each other. MY: Yes, me, too. Ah! We’re going to stay the same, right? SR: Yes, Mr. Client Mu Young. And at the office, Mr. CEO. MY: Thank you, Ms. Instructor So Rim. SR: Do you want to try calling me “So Rim-sshi”? MY: Ahh, I’ll try it next time. SR: Then how about “So Rim-ah”, like that? (me: this is much less formal than So-Rim-sshi) MY: Ay! I don’t think I can call you that. (me: meaning it’s too informal for him to call her that) SR: You told my little brother that he’s awkward in his dating attempts, and it’s not something that you are willing to do? MY: I’m sorry. I’ll make efforts to try. MY: Ah! On the weekend, should we go and eat fried pollack as well? (me: Fried pollack was what GW had been getting for HJ when he got involved in helping out at the accident site.) SR: Yes. And before the winter is over, let’s go eat gomchwi soup as well. (me: Gomchwi is a seasonal vegetable) MY: That would be great! Well, then we are also finally starting to have dates on the weekends. NS typing in the bathroom: The CEO of Deep Cosmetics having caught the eye of a female contract worker, the two of them are now secretly slipping out in the afternoons and he’s also supporting all of her foolish ideas. The office is in a mess. He used to be smart and admirable, but the employees are worrying that he is becoming stranger and stranger. They’re worried that he will be chased out of this market. No one knows how this employee came into this office anyway, and she must be a totally nepotistic hire. Marketing isn’t child’s play. Just because she knows how to make a few social media posts, how could she be hired like that? The CEO is completely incapable of making good judgements. Office romances are natural, but isn’t it a problem if a woman deliberately only joins in order to seduce the CEO? Could someone please stop our CEO? Really concerned for the future of the office. Seriously, whoever sequences these. I went from squealing over the cuteness of MY holding SR's hand to gagging over NS being so full of himself and being so poisonous. I can't believe that JH is going to date him again. Does she not know that he is the one writing all those hateful things about her father on the company site? Curious to know how the bit with JH's mother is going to play out though since NS worked so hard to get JH to invite her mother back into her and her father's life despite her father not wanting anything to do with her mother. JH just went from being naive and innocent to being totally stupid and uncaring of her father. I get it that she's young and trusting, but NS admitted to cheating on SR with JH while her father has always been there for her. At the least, she should respect her father's wishes rather than dragging in her mother who she knew left her father and married another man back in an attempt to get her father to accept her mother. Even typing this makes me think even more that it's completely stupid.
  11. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had this thought. Btw, also thought it was lovely that TJ was so sure that SJ couldn't have done that, i.e. had sex with another woman and had a baby, whether drunk or sober, because he wasn't that kind of a man.
  12. I'm happy that their solo projects are going well, but I do miss all the guys performing together, whether it's a concert or 'Run BTS' or even just goofing around during each other's Weverse Lives. I know it will never be the same in the future, that their individual commitments will need to be balanced with any group activities. Though I don't find their solo projects as engaging as their group efforts where they have to meld their varying preferences and influences. It's actually fascinating to see that while their solo activities may reflect more of the artists' personal commitments and interests, that it is in the group where they have to ascertain each other and factor their differences, that they are able to produce the more engaging songs and performances. I think it is because the members are both musical and opinionated and able to express both to each other that their syntheses are so much stronger. Which isn't to say that I don't support the individual efforts. It's just to say that it makes me appreciate their group efforts that much more to see what they are doing individually and how good their individual endeavors.
  13. Forgot to mention that SJ's manager wanted to redo the DNA test and SJ protested saying his cousin has had the test done multiple times. However, the manager said that it was because YS was acting in a suspicious way that he wants the test redone, and showed him the cctv footage. The manager said that YS hung around in the lobby for over an hour and then intercepted the delivery person, forging the manager's name on the delivery receipt. YS then took the package into the bathroom before putting the package into the internal post and leaving. The manager insisted on redoing the test since they had taken multiple samples of JW's DNA previously and that he would pick up the test results himself so that he could be sure of what the actual results were. I think this creates the suspicion in SJ's mind, so that when he takes the call from JM, it's not a complete shock to him to hear that JW isn't his son and that YS had been deceiving him. I thought that there was a lot about the JW being SJ's son that didn't make that much sense from the get go. For instance, that the cousin had taken some of the money that was meant to pay off JM for himself and his family. Already that indicated that there was some kind of collusion between YS and JM, or else why would JM put up with it. It also clears up the whole DNA test that showed no paternity that YS had burned while his sons were watching from afar. Initially, we were led to believe that it had been a paternity test between YS and JW, however, if YS knew from the start that JW wasn't his son than whose negative paternity test was that? Anyway, I'm glad that YS' duplicity is finally coming to light. Whether he has a right to be angry is one thing, however, living off the money that SJ gives him while plotting to take more money makes him rather despicable. Also, he agreed to raise JW and took money for it even (twice if you count the cut he took from JM's payoff), but is angry and upset about it? This sense of entitlement to take money from SJ is just nauseating, especially now knowing that he had plotted it all anyway. I don't care how YS feels about SJ's mother or sister, but SJ has always been respectful and trusting, doing whatever he could to help YS including giving him money as YS asked for it. I do feel really badly for JW in all of this. I think he'll be more upset about his father's collusion with his birth mother if he finds out about it since that will be a betrayal from his father. At least his mother has always loved him without reservation and continues to do so. While his mother may have had a bit of an entitlement complex about SJ's money as well, she does have JW's best interest at heart and thinks of him as her son. Btw, where is Soo Bin? He seems to be entirely gone from the drama right now. Did I miss where they talk about Soo Bin going away for awhile and why?
  14. Translation of the preview NS: I’ve done everything out of loyalty to Deep Cosmetic and to you, CEO. I will tender my resignation. JH: Don’t accept the resignation. I’m going to date him again. GW: What will you do, big sister? TJ: I think more time will need to pass. TJ Mother: You went and registered the marriage by yourselves! Get a divorce immediately. SJ: Ji Woo is not my son. Whose son is Ji Woo? I'm glad that JW isn't SJ's son after all, but I feel badly for poor JW. I also want to know whose son he is. Given that everyone kept saying how much JW looked like SJ, I had wondered if JW could be SJ's brother rather than his son since SJ's father had affairs with other women, but not sure when SJ's father passed away, so unsure if the time line fit. Anyway, in today's episode, SJ meets with the directors from the movie shoot 20 years ago where SJ supposedly slept with JM only to find out that there was no time for production dinners or anything like that because the shooting schedule was so tight. Also, only the actors had rooms at the shooting location, the rest of the staff had to travel in from Seoul everyday. Finally, back then, JM was known to a bad employee who frequented gambling dens and always had drugs on her, e.g. cold tonics, sleeping meds, etc. The gaming den where JM is gambling gets raided by the cops, and JM blames YS for calling the cops on them, though not sure how she came to that conclusion. Anyway, she calls SJ up and tells him that JW isn't his son after all and that YS has been deceiving him. I think this is where the episode ended. And, ugh, JH. From this preview, I guess she's decided to keep dating NS after all. Hope she wakes up soon. Also, wonder if we'll see JH's mother come by and cause trouble for MY and SR. It seems HJ has finally decided that she wants to be with GW.
  15. Preview translation MY: She said that all of a sudden there were sounds of a traffic accident then the phone cut off. SR: What?! HJ: He must have been distracted. I think it was because of me. If anything happens to Gun Woo … HJ: Kim Gun Woo! HJ: what will I do? NS: Until Ji Hye-shi is ready to listen to me, I’ll wait. JH: Why were you two-timing back then? NS: If you are going to be like this, then let’s stop dating. Woman: They said that there have been some strange rumors on the company bulletin board. That the CEO is dating a woman that he brought into the company. SJ: If I’m going to report that woman to the police, then I have to be ready to tell everything about my involvement as well. JM: So, you want the world to know everything? TJ: You’re the one who pushed me, you scammer! I am soooo happy that TJ has her memories back! And, I loved it that she's so confrontational with JM. Do NOT mess with TJ's loved ones! Also, like that NS is finally being held accountable. It's his liberal use of the company credit card to buy all sorts of things, a lot of if it seemingly personal, that has landed him in hot water with the company. SR was able to tell JH about how NS was two timing them when SR was JH's pilates instructor that has caused JH doubts about NS. I had to laugh at how his response was "But I had already left in my heart!" to the two timing. It seems that NS will continue to be destructive, however, since he's probably the one who is uploading the "rumors" about MY and SR. Ugh.
  16. "Boo hoo! You wouldn't have my daughter ever though you don't love her and have never seen her as a woman! Because you couldn't force yourself to close your eyes and allow yourself to be raped every day while pretending to be able to tolerate my daughter, you almost killed my daughter!" Okay, small paraphrasing maybe. But this story line is just ridiculous. At least if KJ had allowed himself to date HM, I could maybe understand the histrionics? That would still be ridiculous, but at least there might be some basis for it. Even worse that the other members of the family will actually take this drivel seriously? HM needs a good psychiatrist and then possibly do some work with people who actually have problems. I don't think there is any hope for her mother. Of course, when they find out that CY has been fired and has no prospects, they might reconsider their situations and attitudes? But, who knows with this writer. Don't really want to bother translating the preview since HM's parents, both of them blame YY and KJ for HM's condition. HM's father is just as ridiculous as his wife, and it's making morse sense now why he would choose a woman like HM's mother. He might seem to be more reasonable, but not really. KJ finds the paternity test that shows SJ isn't their father's son, and wonders when SJ started becoming suspicious of that. SJ tells his parents that he's leaving the company and will make his own way in the world, whatever that is.
  17. After SJ asks who killed DJ, the ajusshi or his mother, SJ also asks WS to tell him the truth and asks if WS is his father. However, KJ came and interrupted them before SJ got an answer to his questions. The thing I don't understand about the HM character is that she was raised to feel privileged by loving, involved parents, albeit perhaps an overly involved mother. She's acting more like a teenager hearing that her favorite idol oppa is dating someone, except pushing it to an extreme level with the suicide plot point. I'm actually kind of upset by this since it seems to trivialize suicide and suicide attempts. It almost seems as if they are hinting at HM having mental health issues without actually calling it that, but if so, it's a really poor way to do so. It's too bad that HM is basically a pathetic plot device at this point. I can't imagine this coming between YY and KJ, but this may be where this drama loses all sense of reality. Why would the family rally behind HM to help her achieve her goal of possessing another person who does not want to be possessed? Not to mention the whole "if I can't have him, then YY definitely can't have him" plot device. I guess it's supposed to indicate that HM is spiraling out of control and becoming more desperate? Also, it doesn't make sense that the grandfather and the father would be so understanding of the employee who tried to disadvantage their company for her own personal reasons. HH has no morals and doesn't care about anything other than that she has control and that SJ will be the next president/chairman. However, the grandfather cares about his company and the father supposedly does as well as the heir. I really have a hard time understanding how the writers are plotting the story line with HM at this point. At least with DS, his story line and his acting can make us laugh, even if he can also be annoying.
  18. CY was fired. He heard his junior colleagues talking about it as he walked up to the work building. Grandmother actually tells DS to leave. Before YY and KJ stopped him, the father had been hitting DS saying that he already caused big trouble over the money, and now he's causing more trouble, and how dare DS think of being a father when he has nothing. Yes, DS asks KJ to buy him a drink. YY mentions how DJ loved her so much that there were no empty places inside of her. DY asks if KJ also made her feel that loved. Since YY had received that kind of love from DJ, DY thinks that YY would only date KJ if KJ also made YY feel that loved. DY says that as long as YY remembers that they are still family that DY is happy for YY to be in a relationship. A translation of the preview EH: Are you dating Do Shik? EJ: There is no way that I will ever date him! EH: Do Shik looks as if he’s thought a lot about it. DS: I really want to take responsibility. If I don’t take responsibility for it, then who will? SJ: I remember it all now. Killing that person, was it you, ajusshi? Or my mother? WS: I’m leaving now. SJ: Answer me! Tell me what the truth is! Poor SJ.
  19. It's not just the double in-law thing that is a bit squeamish in Three Bold Siblings. It's that they've totally created a complicated family structure by having the FL's younger brother be in love with the ML's aunt. So, not enough to have double in-laws, but also crossing generational lines since the little brother would then also be the FL's uncle while the aunt would be the FL's little SIL. So, which relationship would take precedence? Especially pertinent in a culture where people are addressed by their familial relationship titles.
  20. I totally understand her as well. Hard enough raising children, but also having to raise the husband who is mentally a child also would just suck that much more. However, since this drama is pushing the EJ-DS line, at least EJ will have more help with her children since DS' family should be worshiping the ground that EJ walks for putting up with DS and having his children. It should also mean that EJ will be able to manage her cafe even with having the children. Still, poor EJ's mother. Even though she will love her grandchildren to death once they are born. Anyway, hope that EH brings home a good match!
  21. A translation of the preview vid. Man 1: Shouldn’t we be getting him a present? Man 2: What would be the point? Sending him there (pointing up) is the best present. HK: You said the celebration was over, and now you’re home early. CY: Do you want to go away for the weekend? HK: You caused some trouble again, didn’t you? EJ: Twins. These bean sized things are my children. DS: Grandmother, dad, mom, please get me married! Mom: Wh-why?! Grandmother: What do you mean “why”? The two of them must have been together. YY: I’ve only just received approval from the president and vice-president. That means that whatever you try to do, it won’t work. HM: Please just give me one more chance! Please?! HH: It’s already all over. Throw her out! HM: Lee Young Yi, this is all your fault. I guess it's been said often enough that HM is just completely pathetic. She's probably not even registering that her father is in some distress since she can only see her own self. DS is asking his family to get him married since he doesn't have the wherewithal to get married by himself nor will he be accepted by prospective bride or her family, so I guess he'll tell his family that he wants to marry EJ anyway? And his mother already knows that DS and EJ have been physically intimate. However, this is now going to be a huge shock for EJ's mother. Ooh, good point!
  22. I guess Grandmother refused to help HM? Since DS has no skills and can't get a job, the best thing would be for him to inherit the restaurant eventually. I think the father is in line to inherit the restaurant first, but then DS can learn how to run the restaurant from the father and grandmother, and then eventually inherit it. As long as he doesn't have delusions of franchising it and making it a gomtang empire. He's immature enough to still have ideas of grandeur without any real plans on how to do it which makes him ripe for scams or to cause it to fail in some other way. Then again, EJ is smart, so perhaps EJ and DS will ultimately take the restaurant over, modernize the decor and make it an even bigger hit of a restaurant. Since the writer seems determined to sacrifice EJ to DS, perhaps EJ really will be the saving of DS. A preview translation, though not sure how long the video will be up since it's user upload rather than the broadcaster upload HK: You know, Kyung Jun’s little brother. He seems really well mannered and a good person. Stew over soup, bread over rice - HH: Mom, are you drunk right now!? What are you talking about? DS: Grandmother, please give me a double portion of gomtang. From now on, I intend to fight a major war. Grandmother: It’s one of 2 things. Either he caused some trouble or he’s getting ready to cause trouble.
  23. At the dinner, KJ's dad gives his permission for KJ and YY to date. He explains himself by saying that he had wanted a woman with no baggage for KJ, however, after KJ asks for the Executive Directorship, the dad became curious as to the woman that YY was that KJ could become so motivated. HH didn't say anything but thought to herself whether KJ's father had been waiting for KJ to become more ambitious, even though it meant that KJ would be stepping on her to do so. Yes, I'm also disgusted by EJ being preggers with DS' baby, and I really wish that story had not happened, though I guess EJ's role might have been significantly reduced without that development as far as this drama is concerned. I'm still opposed to SJ being with HM. He doesn't deserve to be stuck with a woman who is exactly like his mother for the rest of his life. Btw, it seems that some attempt is being made to salvage HH anyway. There is a scene where WS is talking to HH, and he says that he'll bloody his hands for HH again just as he did 5 years ago. HH demands to know what he means, and seems genuinely taken aback at the mention of blood. The implication is that WS may have killed DJ, and HH didn't really know about it because she was just so intent on "protecting" SJ rather than having direct involvement in the death of DJ? I totally agree! It's definitely helped to bring YY's MIL around to accepting the relationship between YY and KJ. It also doesn't hurt that KJ is the son of a chaebol family. Wow, talk about pathetic! HM was begging Grandmother to tell YY to split up with KJ because KJ was everything to her HM and she couldn't live without him. The grandmother scoffed at that saying that HM was pretty and smart, so how could she say that she can't live over 1 man. HM responds that KJ isn't a man, he's her everything and her universe, and that her parents understood that which is why they were acting that way. HM also mentions that she is the granddaughter while YY is a stranger to which the grandmother responds that YY has lived with them so long how could she be a stranger. HM cries that the grandmother is choosing YY over her, and that she had come to the grandmother for help because she was the only one left who could help her. The grandmother sighs and the clip ends so I'm not sure if the grandmother made any response to HM. However, HM is definitely being a total waste of space. Not to mention, she's so in the grips of her obsession with KJ that she's pretty much a stalker at this rate. The HM character has always been rather pathetic given that she fails at everything, but she is being made too pathetic at this point to be honest. She's not even evil any more since she's such a failure, just a delusional narcissist.
  24. In the scene where HH and WS are talking, it's mentioned that they had been engaged before WS introduced HH to KJ's father. HH accuses WS of having pushed her at KJ's father so that he can get his hands on money once HH had married a rich man. It's not clear if WS is SJ's father as well from the clips, though WS does seem to have some special feelings for SJ, so I still suspect he is SJ's real father. Also, WS mentions in his inner monologue that he had decided to keep quiet for SJ's sake, but that if HH upset him too much that he would go to YY and let her know that her husband died because of HH. Poor SJ. It's clear that he feels so terrible about everything. The grandfather had better not die! I think he's the best character in this drama!
  25. 병아리 is the word in hangul, and it's pronounced byung ah ri. The "baby" part is a bit duplicative though since a chick is a baby chicken. However, the grandfather calls YY 삐야기 which is pronounced bbi yah gi and is kind of a diminutive of the word for a chick, and is getting translated into a baby chick, e.g. a newborn chick. @Zoazealready answered it for you. He had the recording of HM talking to her friend in the other firm, and then he accused his father and HH of knowing about it all. He tells them that he was going to take it to the chairman, but he thought he would give them a chance. The father asks if KJ wants YY to made a permanent employee to which KJ says that they can do whatever they want about that since no matter how many times they try to kick out YY, he KJ intends to bring her back. That's when he says that he'll take the empty managing director position in the company. HH is upset, but the father says that he'll think it over.
