  1. I was just thinking that if the guys really do want to reassemble as a group in 2025, they all have to join some time this year... I guess it's good that the guys have time to do solo activities, and I feel as if they would have started doing some solo stuff regardless of their military service. However, I just wonder how much higher the guys would be flying now if they were all free to do solo and group activities instead of doing some solo activities prior to going dark for 2 years at a time. Guess we're waiting on announcements about who will be next now that we know that j-hope is waiting to be called up and Suga will revoke his deferral once he's done with his mini-world tour. Btw, I managed to get Agust D tickets! I've been listening to his 2 mixtapes as well as his solo tracks from BTS albums. If he does drop a new album prior to the concert, I think I'll be over the moon. I am OT7, but they each have a special place in my heart all their own.
  2. Suga doing the "on the street" challenge with j-hope! So cute!
  3. I think I agree that it's time for YY to move out. Even after everything, ES is still completely disparaging of YY. It can't be good for MRN either to hear her grandmother disparage and yell at her mother that way. Whenever ES is unhappy, she's used to taking it out on YY, pretty much because YY is the easiest target for her and the only one that ES feels that she can act like that towards. It's not healthy. Without YY there, wonder if ES will just take out her anger on her own children? If so, they're old enough, plus they seem to push back on their mother well enough on their own. I doubt that ES will be able to pull that stuff with EJ. EJ isn't the type to take it, not to mention, EJ's mother is not a pushover and wouldn't stand for it. They would totally kick DS out of the house and make him go home to his mother if ES starts messing with them.
  4. Definitely! Yes! I loved how they argued over 3 smaller heads versus 2 bigger heads of cabbage, not to mention the sizes of their respective kimchee containers and even arguing over who should get more of the pickling juice. It seems as if there may be a divorce case that lasts over one or two episodes for the week, as well as there being personal interactions and issues that form longer arcs. I find the divorces incredibly sad even if I agree that the couple should divorce. I am really curious about HS' own marriage and circumstances though. Definitely. He pretty much brought me to tears. I'm always impressed by the child actors in these dramas. They just seem so mature in terms of their acting and ability to emote, despite their youth.
  5. The second episode wasn't as quirky funny as the first episode, but it was still really satisfying in moving the drama along, though the slip drip of set up information is going to be a bit of a slow torture. So, our attorney Shin Sung Han used to be a pianist who lived and worked in Germany as a pianist and a professor. [redacted] Anyway, still a lot of mystery to be revealed. What would make a man who seems to love piano that much to quit all of that, quit even listening to it, and go back to Korea to become a lawyer who only handles divorce cases? The bromance of the three friends continues to roll. The scene where they're talking about music is hilarious, as Sung Han and his office manager Jang Hyung Gun reminisce about the pop music of their youth and continue to ignore the real estate friend Jo Jeong Sik, until he finally reveals that he's brought his own bluetooth microphone with him to pair with SH's speakers. As expected, the divorce cases are rather sad, and the background story may ultimately be sad as well, but this drama also handles it with a "life goes on" attitude which also brings humor, warmth, and confusion to the episodes. Han Hye Ji may be an ongoing part of this drama, going by the preview for episode 3. She's finding it hard to find a job after her divorce and sex tape scandal, so she may start working at the law firm as a general worker and fixer upper. She has a scene where she muses why SH doesn't fix his broken office door with the money he makes by winning his cases. This also highlights another mystery of where the money he makes as an attorney is going, though his apartment seems pretty nice rather than a squalid 1 room that they keep referring to. Anyway, I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this drama, especially given the subject matter. I'm looking forward to watching the next episodes.
  6. Yes, that was a satisfying scene. Here is a translation. NS: Thank you for asking to meet with us, CEO. MY: Yes, come in. Have a seat. OHY: Thank you for asking to meet with us. I had also wanted to welcome you as an employee of the partnering company. MY: Director Kang, how is the contract termination that you’re preparing to send to Mint going? Director: Yes, the legal team is preparing that now. OHY: Husband! MY: I don’t want to hear that. Don’t call me that. I have no relationship with Oh Hye Yeon at all, so you calling me that is very uncomfortable for me. MY: Also, take a scan of this business card and include this in what you send them. This is the business card of the doctor who apparently diagnosed Oh Hye Yeon with a terminal disease which allows her to live only 6 months longer, but apparently, the personal cell number goes to someone else. In a word, that means that it’s a fake business card. Of course the health of a team leader of the best commercial firm in Korea who is managing our project is of concern, but if that is a lie, then that would make us even more unwilling to work with them. Please make them aware of that. Director Kang: Yes, I’ll do so. I’ll let Attorney Kim of the legal team know. JH: Mom. It’s a lie that you’re sick? NS: No, Ji Hye-shi. I asked a friend of mine who works for a pharmaceutical company about the medications that mother is taking, and it’s true that mother is in an extreme condition. MY: How is Jo Nam Soo’s going? Director Kang: We’ve also responded to the unfair firing allegation that he’s reported. For usage of the company credit card for personal things, taking kickbacks, falsifying records, and mistreating subcontractors, we’ve filed a lawsuit against him. NS: What? Director Kang: Attorney Kim will be submitting it shortly to the police as the representative of this company. MY: Ah, the letter that President Park Yi Gon’s daughter sent us, you’ve included that in the paperwork, right? Director Kang: Of course. President Park has also agreed to go to the police to give his testimony. There was also an idol trainee who had to buy him meals and gifts in exchange for being considered as a model for our commercial, that girl’s father also contacted us asking to testify against him. NS: But Director, I’ve already explained that to you. MY: Regarding Jo Nam Soo’s case, please post it to the company bulletin board. This is something that can’t ever happen again in our company. Director Kang: I understand. I’ll take care of it immediately. NS: CEO, even the firing is unreasonable, but a lawsuit? MY: Well, you reported us for an unfair firing to the Bureau of Labor? Of course we have to prove that it was not unfair at all. OHY: You called busy people like us here just to tell us this kind of stuff? MY: For the sake of Shin Ji Hye’s education, I’ve asked both of you here. Because she still didn’t seem to be aware of what the people around her were up to. JH: Mom, is it really a lie that you’re sick? OHY: Ji Hye MY: As far as I know, it’s a lie. However, if you can’t believe me, then go meet the doctor yourself. The fake doctor that you had previously met is a fitness trainer. OHY (to JH): Speak with me your mother separately. MY: All three of you should leave. Other than Shin Ji Hye, I shall expect that I won’t have to ever see you two others ever again. (gets up and leaves) JH: Mom OHY: Would you really prefer your mom to die? NS: Ji Hye, the CEO is wrong. JH: Since I have the fake doctor’s number, I’m going to try to speak with him directly.
  7. Preview translation TJ: This is a story about how a friend exchanges her baby for another’s? SJ: It really grabs your attention, doesn’t it? TJ: It’s because you want revenge, isn’t it? SJ: I can’t say there isn’t something in that as well. PD Cha: What about Ji Woo? Are you not thinking about him at all? I can’t help you on this production. Housekeeper: Ji Hye-shi brought back the luggage that she had taken with her. JH: I’m sorry. HJ: Father collapsed after watching you and your mother causing all that fuss at the curry restaurant. Of course, they absolutely can’t see you here! Grandmother: Look here! You should hurry to your own place to go to sleep. HJ: Grandmother
  8. Actually, they were there to see SJ's manager because they're trying to sign SJ up to do a commercial for Mint. However, the manager told them that SJ was pulling back from such work because he is focusing on other projects. NS had the nerve to tell the manager that actors had managers and agencies who make decisions for the actors since actors can be a bit sensitive and unreasonable. OHY tells the manager that he should just make the decision for SJ and sign contracts right then and there. The manager then says that SJ's representative would handle the negotiations which surprised NS and OHY since they thought the manager was SJ's representative. TJ walks in then to announce herself as SJ's representative, and immediately scolds them for not even standing up to greet her. I think so as well. MY tells SR about how he ended up with JH, and how he gave up on his goal of becoming a professor in order to raise JH and ended up starting the company instead. At the end of it, MY apologizes to SR and tells her that he's going to give up, then leaves. However, SR runs after him to tell him to keep his promise of not giving up on them. So, it seems that SR and MY are ready to reconcile, but SR's family will have to be willing as well. So, I think only JH can really do that by explaining.
  9. If you have the time, you should definitely give this drama try. I was really happy watching the first episode. Now I'm waiting for Netflix to drop the 2nd episode since I want to know what happens to HHJ's custody battle.
  10. Watched the first episode of this drama, and I think I may be hooked. Jo Seung Woo plays his Attorney Shin with a bit of quirk to him. His characterization vaguely reminds me a bit of his character in 'God's Gift' though the ending of that drama still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I also loved Kim Sung Kyun playing his office manager and Jung Moon Sung who is playing a character who seems to be a bit of a wheeler dealer real estate agent. The three men who happen to be school friends are as much frenemies as friends, and they are a lot of fun to watch. The whole drama has a quirkiness which made the first episode fun, though there are hints that darker days may be ahead. For one thing, the first episode didn't really go into why Attorney Shin changed careers from a pianist to a lawyer who only takes on divorce cases. And, divorce is of itself such a messy, unhappy thing. The only thing that I perhaps didn't really like about the first episode is the way Attorney Shin wins his motions/cases by somehow finding irrefutable evidence which he then presents in order to win for his clients. While it's presented that Attorney Shin is a quirky genius who thoroughly prepares for his cases, there is also a bit of American detective tv series where the evidence is just oh so magically pulled out of Attorney Shin's literal bag. Still, that's a minor quibble versus how well this drama handled the first episode. Han Hye Jin is also beautiful and wonderful as she has been in so many roles. She plays a woman who is getting divorced from an abusive, controlling husband after being caught in a sex tape scandal perpetuated by a man she has an extramarital affair with. All she wants from the divorce is custody of her son so that he's not subject to the same abuse that she endured. The husband is a real piece of work, and it's hinted at that he showed his son the sex tape of his mother in order to show what a disgusting slut his mother is, not to mention that she was too busy doing that to go to her son when he was in the hospital. So, hope the rest of the drama is as engaging and interesting as the first episode. I'm not sure if Han Hye Jin will continue to be in the drama once her case is over, but I'm really looking forward to the bromance of the three men.
  11. Ahh, I must have missed it. Sometimes when I get behind on the thread, I skim it really fast. HH in handcuffs was good though.
  12. I don't think that SJH was the sniper? Though, there is someone who is really interested in DK and they were going to find out more about him, so I kept thinking that SJH was there to find out about DK and possibly the rest of the group. Anyway, I was disappointed that there was only 1 episode this week which left the little girl's case hanging. I have a bad feeling about the children. This show does like to go dark. The newlywed couple thing was cute, especially when they kept trying to cover up for their differing answers. I think the bad real estate guy claiming that they aren't really married is going to be a fakeout of some kind. The bad guy seems really full of himself, and is probably going to pitch them an even worse scam of some kind. Not sure what his scam is though. Anyway, 1 more week until the punching.
  13. KJ has not forgotten or forgiven. He kept quiet about it for the sake of peace in the family, because he loves his grandfather, father, and little brother. He mentions at one point that if HH doesn't accept responsibility for hurting YY and her family, that he'll reveal how she damaged him as well by not letting him get treatment in a timely fashion. As for KJ's father, he is just totally clueless. He has no idea how vicious HH is, and can't bring himself to believe that she has been lying all this time to him about everything, including SJ's parentage. No excuses for him, though, he's a rich, entitled idiot. And, the father is utterly clueless about the truth of how KJ and HH feel about each other. Definitely will have to watch the episode for this. Was there an episode today? I didn't see any clips uploaded on YT.
  14. Binged eps 3 and 4. Very cute. I think this season is actually a lot lighter than Season 1? Also, is Shin Jae Ha a bad guy???? Please no!!!!
  15. Caught the first 2 episodes finally, and I'm totally loving it. Even if the prosecutor isn't there in Season 2, I appreciated the gesture in the first episode with CEO Jang thanking the prosecutor for her tip and wishing her well in her studies abroad. It's better than just having no mention of her at all. It was fun to see how the various team members ended up rejoining the group. And, it was really sweet how they all kept trying to stay in touch with CEO Jang no matter how often he yelled at them to go away and live their own lives well. I laughed when DK asked why CEO Jang didn't try to chase him off, saying that it felt unfair; however, CEO Jang's answer that DK would continue to do illegal things whether CEO Jang was with him or not, so it was better to just keep him near and support him was really sweet and heartfelt. Waiting to watch eps 3 and 4, and from the pics posted here, looking forward to Farmer DK and Singer GE.
  16. Preview translation HM: What are you saying? That’s he’s not his real little brother? HM Mother: That Director. Apparently, he’s not really of that family’s bloodline. HM: I wasn’t just making empty promises. No matter what unforgivable thing you may have done, you need at least one friend who will listen to everything you have to say. HM: We know well what kind of person the Director is. YY: If he’s thinking of turning himself in, then I’ll give him the chance to do so. Grandfather: The road to seeking the truth is a lonely road. Keep enduring it. That way you can overcome it. I think if SJ turns himself in, then YY and her family may forgive him, but I don't see how that will enable YY and KJ to be together since he will still be the reason that DJ died. I think HH is the biggest issue since she's clearly planning on making a run for it. Curious as to whether she will go by herself if SJ does turn himself in as he wants to do. YJ is delusional. The comatose grandfather is an interesting way to handle giving out his sage advice while he does not have to react to the awfulness unfolding in real time. Hope he wakes up though. I feel as if he's the one who can put YJ in his place and finally take care of HH.
  17. I'm pretty sure that YY and KJ will end up together, and that HH will end up in jail next to WS. The question for me is whether SJ will survive this drama or not.
  18. Translation of the preview @Zoaze KJ Father: Shim Won Seok is in prison now. He’s confessed and agreed to take all the blame. So you should just erase it completely from your memory now. It’s something that never happened to you, Se Jun. YY: This is absurd! Having Shim Won Seok himself taking all the blame feels too unjust! KJ: I’m going to capture her, no matter what. KJ: I’m sorry. It seems that father will become my enemy as well starting today. By unjust, YY means that she knows HH and SJ were involved but would get away with it completely, rather than it being unfair to WS. So, KJ's father is going to try to protect SJ and HH it seems. I guess the father thinks he's doing it all to protect SJ. I assume that KJ's father agreed to pay WS exorbitant money in order to get him to agree to take all of the blame. However, SJ is an adult in his 30's, and more importantly, he'll be forever tormented if he complies with his father. And, it doesn't feel right that HH who was complicit in it, not to mention having declared that she would have done it herself if she had had the opportunity, gets away with it, even if she is kicked out of the family. Of the three, SJ is possibly the most "innocent" in that he's guilty of a DUI and a hit-and-run and not actual murder, but he also needs to pay for his crimes. And, both HH and WS need to be in jail. The father is also thinking about their company reputation, but we are talking about cold blooded murder here.
  19. I agree that what HJ said was too harsh, however, I feel as if this is the attitude of a lot of Koreans who still feel that blood is everything. Also, I think HJ is frustrated because OHY is using JH to insinuate herself into MY's life, destroying MY's relationship with the woman he loves, especially since HJ is aware that JH is doing all that she can to help her mother and oppose her father in this. And part of me is also still rather shocked that JH would side with the mother who abandoned her against the father who loved her and raised her. However, this drama seems to be about different kinds of families, including blended families. Since SR herself comes from a blended family, she was willing to consider MY who had an adult daughter from another woman. SR has a prime example of a father who is able to love a daughter who is not of his own blood. And actually, both JH and JW are in similar situations in being raised by families who love them even though they are not the offsprings by birth, and not knowing about that. JW is dealing with the consequences of finding that out and trying to figure out motivations, mostly to understand who he can trust or not. JW also feels sorry to everyone other than the parents who raised him, especially his father, since he now knows that his father raised him as a form of revenge. That is just such a huge load for any person to bear. JH will also have to deal with the consequences of finding that out as well, and will probably feel lost and sorry. I'm sure that the relationship between JH and MY will be healed. JH's longing for a mother who she never had is understandable. Her gullibility in believing everything that mother told her and working actively against her father is not understandable.
  20. Ooooh. So, SJ's mom is still trying to protect YS from additional hurt. Rather than hating his own mother since he's been hurt by her before, SJ's mom is accepting the blame for YS losing his dream. Not sure that's the right way to heal YS, but I guess I can understand her doing so. I knew that MY's ex had paid someone to fake being the doctor, but I saw something on another bulletin board saying that OHY may be sick after all that faking, so wondered about it. Having OHY really be terminal would be one way of resolving JH and MY. I think JH will go live with her maternal grandmother after all of this anyway, once she realizes how much she, her mom, and her boyfriend have hurt MH and SR. So, you've probably already watched this, but SJ was on the tennis court shooting a sports company promo apparently. His manager apparently took some extra snaps of SJ as a joke. Those were the ones with OHY in the background. SJ didn't remember OHY, and she even came up to him to introduce herself as being with Mint Communications, probably cultivating a celebrity for possible future business. OHY is clearly not aware that SJ is married to TJ. It's TJ who later on seeing the pics recognizes who OHY is.
  21. So now almost everyone except JH knows that she's not MY's daughter? LOL I haven't watched this week's episodes, but did OHY actually get a diagnosis that she's terminally ill after all the playacting that she did? I guess the only things to be resolved are who JW's father is, finding YS' mother and asking about the insurance money, and SR and MY's relationship? Also, YS' painting for the arts competition? It's clear that SJ's mother still cares deeply for YS. When YS was talking about how his painting which would have earned him an art scholarship to France was sabotaged by his aunt, it shocked everyone that SJ's mother agreed with his statement. However, it seemed to me that she was agreeing because she couldn't bear for YS to devolve any further. I don't know if they've shown yet what really happened to that painting? Anyway, it still doesn't absolve YS of his malicious actions toward his aunt and SJ, especially when he was pretty much being supported by them. SJ even took on a role just so that he could make enough money for YS' wedding.
  22. That's so funny! I think there are 3 weeks left in total? So, 2 weeks until complete reconciliation seems right. Though from today's clips, it seems as if YY is already softening towards KJ, at least enough to go outside of the pojangmacha to see if she could still see him. Yes, SJ is weak and easily influenced. Whenever SJ decides to do something, a stronger personality than his, whether his mother or KJ, tells him to stay still and wait and then SJ does so. To be fair, SJ is a pretty good guy who is just weak. Also, SJ telling his mother that it's all over usually meant that things were going to be found out anyway, so they should confess. I wondered whether the Grandfather appearing to SJ in his dream was a bad sign as well. I can understand KJ's actions even if I don't necessarily agree with them. The thing is that what people think is not what always transpires. KJ broke up with YY harshly thinking that will help YY in the long run to ditch him since KJ was fully expecting to be hated. However, KJ couldn't help himself but still think that maybe there was a chance that if he could get HH to confess to everything and accept punishment for herself and WS, that he KJ could perhaps save his little brother and that YY would somehow forgive him so that they could meet again. However, KJ counted on doing it all before he had to confess the entire truth to YY, and that was his prime foolishness. If he truly had given up hope, then he should have told YY the entire truth, knowing that SJ would also need to be punished, and then asked YY to at least wait until he could bring HH down. Though, he couldn't be sure that YY wouldn't do as she did and immediately confront SJ and HH and demand answers and justice.
  23. My mother's take on this is that HM who was raised by loving parents went crazy for a bit, partly due to their over indulgence, but that she was ultimately able to overcome her obsession and accept that KJ would be YY's rather than hers, especially given that while she may have "saved" KJ in the States, it was really DJ's transplant gift that really enabled KJ to live a full life and so KJ and YY may actually be fated. It was from being from a loving, stable home that HM is able to recover herself, especially seeing her parents in distress, and respect that family is family. I've always thought it was weird how obsessive, narcissistic HM was portrayed to be, especially given that she is her father's daughter as well as her mother's. I'm still not crazy about HM as a character, but I'm glad for the sake of the story that she's no longer obsessed with KJ. I've only been watching clips since I haven't had a chance to watch entire episodes. Also, I've been having rolling blackouts because of various storms so not been online much. However, I think it's good that YY finally knows, even if she feels betrayed by KJ.
  24. Agree with you on all your points. That's part of the idiocy, not realizing that YY would make moves to find out for himself. Then again, I think KJ also underestimated how terrible SJ feels and how determined SJ is to try to "right" some of that wrong even if he's going about it all wrong. Given KJ's inexplicable break up, but also SJ's various actions, of course, YY is going to try to get to the truth, even if she's also afraid of the truth and what that will mean for the entire family as well as KJ and her relationship. DS' big plan now is to inherit the restaurant some day. Actually, that's not a bad idea. And, with EJ's work ethos and taste, they could possibly update the restaurant and make it an even more successful enterprise.
  25. Yes, KJ isn't going to let SJ take the fall for all of it. KJ knows that WS and HH is involved some how. Actually, in the video preview, when KJ meets WS in the alley, WS tells KJ that the only way for him to get evidence of HH's involvement is for KJ to help him (WS). KJ asks WS what he wants.
