    It's probably best for everyone's overall relationships for MY and JH to find out on their own, I guess. Well. everyone except NS. He just needs to be kicked to the curb, personally and professionally. Though I wonder whether MY and/or JH will feel betrayed that SR kept that info from them. I was about to call NS a weasel, but that would be an insult to weasels.

    I'm not sure why she is so considerate of NS since she thinks that he's scum now. She clearly thinks that JH is too good for him, but doesn't want to be the cause of JH's unhappiness or to meddle in her life. Also, JH was her pilates student before SR realized that was who NS was with, and JH is the reason that she got the job at the company, so SR is even more cautious about meddling and causing unhappiness. Frankly, I think SR is thinking too much about not being the cause of JH's unhappiness rather than thinking about what a bad partner NS is for JH. That would be nice.

Of course this may be obvious, but I’m so sad, mother-in-law. Wow, both HM and the MIL have both completely gone off the deep end. I think this is where HM will be horrified with herself when she finally gets sober? Regarding MRN, while she'll stay on her husband's family's registry, MRN should stay with YY to be raised even if YY decides to leave the house. At this point, I think the healthiest thing for everyone, including MRN, would be for YY and MRN to leave that house. That is just too much toxicity. If for some reason, MRN was left with that family, she would have to grow up constantly hearing from her grandmother how her mother was a money-chasing slut. While other members of the family probably wouldn't be that bad, it's the MIL who would be with MRN the most and who has the most hatred in her heart. However, I know it won't come to that. The grandmother and the FIL are on YY's side in terms of recognizing that YY has been a dutiful DIL and one who deserves a chance at her own happiness. I expect them to side with YY at least with respect to MRN being raised by her mother. Not to mention that YY wouldn't abandon MRN for any reason. Both HM and the MIL are so annoying right now, and have been from the beginning. I don't even care about their rehabilitation any more. I'm fine with having them both be selfish, unhappy people until the end. I don't think it's that she's just concerned about MRN. The MIL is still furious that YY is dating a living man versus mourning her dead son. Claiming MRN is just a way to hurt YY since she knows how much YY loves MRN and would never do such a thing. Basically, it's the MIL telling YY that she can never leave and to stop dating unless she wants a fight over MRN. Not that the grandparents would have grounds to fight for custody over the grandchild without the mother being proved unfit in some way or having abandoned her child. Yes, that's what I want MRN to do as well! Though, I also doubt that YY would ever do that. sigh

    I think SR owes MY an explanation, even if she insists on breaking up with him. She should tell him what the problem is, especially with JH involved.

    I'm waiting for NS to fall HARD. JH is waaaayy too nice for the shallow, petty, manipulative NS. The secret son plot is stupid, but the actress who plays the birth mother of JH is also annoying. I'm not sure if it's the writing or the acting, but the character's main attributes seem to be being delusional and a screamer.

    So many reserved posts @ktcjdrama? Thanks for making this thread! I wasn't a fan of this couple at first, mostly because SR was such a brat when she was with NS, and MY seemed like such an ajusshi. However, I've really warmed up to this couple. It seems that they bring out the best in each other. Not to mention that I never realized that love of pencils was a thing for some people. I knew about liking stationary, but not such deep appreciation for pencils.

    BTS offers their NY greetings. Clearly recorded before Jin went to the military and even before RM's album came out. They're so sweet and lovely.

    Wow! That's a bit of a shocker, but not really. They're both adults who are more than ready for dating and more. The comparison of IU to Kang Dan I is really sweet. Wish them both well. Also, they look rather amazing together. Also congrats on his second daesang. His written letter about his being an introvert was really sweet as well. I keep seeing how he was with Yoon Kyun Sang on a variety show, though, and there seems to a be a sweet, aegyo side to him that he shows only to people he's close to. Being an introvert, it was really nice of him to reach out to his fans about it.

    MBC really loves LJS. He won the daesang for 'W' as well, and his acceptance speech then was forgettable, to say the least. Hope he did better receiving this one since he's older, more experienced, etc. I guess I would be a little surprised that he got the daesang again, but then again, I can't remember watching any MBC dramas at all this year. I will admit that he has the height and the effortless charm at wearing clothes, and it's a bonus that he can also actually act. I think I've watched all of his previous dramas, so not sure why I couldn't seem to get into this one. Anyway, congrats to LJS on racking up another daesang.

    Yay! I was looking forward to a second season of this, and wondered what kind of a plot line they were going to come up with. As far as the cast goes, it looks as if everyone is back except Esom? I'm not sad about that actually since she's not really a part of the team. I wonder if they'll at least mention her and DJ somehow since there did seem to be some sparks between the two in the first season. Plus, I think Shin Jae Ha is a good actor, so I'm looking forward to him joining the teams as the newest driver and the youngest member of the team. It seems there will definitely be some comedic elements. Cool.

    Yes, but the mother tells EH that even if YY wasn't seeing someone else that YY won't do, meaning she doesn't want YY as a DIL. And, when EH was talking with EJ about it, she questioned whether he thought that their mother would approve. I don't know that there is a Korean mother who would approve of such a match for her son, though if they had started dating and EH insisted, then his mother would probably give way despite not approving of it. However, since YY likes someone else, it's not even an issue for her to insist that YY won't do regardless. As you mentioned, she also wants her son to let it go and find someone more suitable. YY described it as that they were getting to know each other better rather than that they were dating. The implication of official dating is that there are also thoughts of progressing it to marriage. So, it is a big step to announce that they are formally dating. Awww. Given that we have had no mention of KJ's birth mother, I was hoping that KJ would tell her that HH wasn't his birth mother, and let YY pay respects to his departed mother. Btw, something I didn't realize until I watched the episodes is that the driver who disappeared was the one responsible for HH meeting and marrying her husband. Now, I'm even more suspicious of SJ's actual birth father. I can't believe they didn't win! They were definitely one of the outstanding couples of the year for me.

While YY is a good person and the mother knows it, she also wants someone better, meaning someone who had not been in a prior relationship, someone from a better family, someone who was not a widow with a child and little education, for her son. She educated him to be a good person and a doctor as well, of course, she was going to be ambitious for her first born. EJ called it in the drama when she asked her brother if he was sure that YY would be acceptable to their mother. And now, EH knows for sure that YY would probably have a tough time married to him as well since his mother would object to the relationship. I think that KJ may want to take YY to see his dead mother? Anyway, it's pretty amazing that KJ and his grandfather have such open minds and hearts when it comes to seeing people for who they are. Everyone else, including most of YY's in-laws are basically writing YY off as not deserving of having her own life and being happy. I think the only other person who wants YY to do well for herself is the grandmother, and even she would probably be surprised that YY is with a rich, handsome, single man.

    I think it's just that he's a considerate husband, even when his wife is silly. He's not going to openly take YY's side when his wife is so upset like that since that will make her even more upset. I'm sure it's going to be something that will be well-received, making HH and HM even more mad about it. I really hope the writer doesn't make SJ end up with HM. He deserves someone nicer, smarter, and who won't be so blindly stupid over another guy.

    This was a beautiful scene between YY and her FIL. FIL: He’s a good person, right? You looked thoroughly into him before you started dating him, right? YY: Yes, he’s a good person. FIL: Young Yi, you’re a shrew person, so I know that you wouldn’t give your heart to just anyone, but given that my brother’s family is also involved, that is worrying. Was everything sorted out properly? YY: He said that he wasn’t in any relationship with Hae Mi. Also, Jang Kyung Jun-shi cares for me a lot, and Mirinae as well. FIL: Okay, go slowly. And, give some time to your mom as well. YY: Is Father-in-law okay? Aren’t you upset with me? You must hate me a lot. FIL: Of course, I hate you. However, when I think about you worrying and struggling on your own because you were worried we would object, my heart hurts, too. Fathers, when they hear that their daughters have a man, all look upon them as thieves (meaning the guys). Whether he’s not a guy who will give our daughter a hard time, what kind of a guy he is, we start looking at him with suspicious eyes. That guy, Kyung Jun, I will keep a close eye on him. To see whether he’s a guy who will be able to make you, Young Yi my daughter, truly happy or not. YY: Thank you, Father-in-law. Preview translation HM: Are you suspecting me? SJ: Because you are the only one who could think to do such a childish thing. YY: If you could give me a little time - HM: How are you going to take care of ordering a hundred times too much of the ingredients?! KJ: However, since Lee Young Yi-shi has been able to take care of things all along, so why not trust her and wait to see what happens? Grandfather: Why are you home? Little chick said that she had something urgent at the office and left. KJ: Young Yi-shi did? I'm glad that SJ is able to see through HM even if he ultimately decides to be with her. At least, he won't be a totally blind idiot about it as his father is by his mother.

    Anyone actually watching this? Any thoughts on it? @twink_twink_? I watched the first 5 min of it, but then got interrupted and haven't really felt the urge to go back to watch it. I know that 5 min isn't a fair test, but the trailer was also kind of meh for me. So, I want some opinions from people who have watched this drama!

    Couldn't help but watch some of the clips since I'm not planning on watching today's episode. The MIL has sunk to a new low. What a total piece of trash she is. Demanding that YY break up with KJ immediately and saying that she only tolerated YY because YY was the mother of DJ's child. I guess the only acceptable outcome as far as the MIL is concerned is that YY spend her entire life grieving for her dead husband and in servitude to that husband's family. Such a selfish brat that she is. And, it's not as if her own grief over her dead son stops her from demanding luxury goods for herself and her son as payment for YY's services, etc. Or wanting luxury vacations, and avoiding work so that she can enjoy herself. Grrrr.

    DS isn't that mature. It's just that he realizes that KJ is the 3rd generation of a chaebol, and is wearing all luxury branded clothing. DS tells KJ to be understanding of his mother and that he's not on their side yet, but to let him know if he has any questions. KJ says that he understands DJ's mother, but he's worried about YY. KJ gives DS his phone number asking him to call him if anything were to happen to YY. As KJ walks off, DS is impressed with himself that he has the phone number of a 3rd generation chaebol. Preview translation EH: I want to bring Young Yi home. EH Mother: What does that mean, that you want to bring Young Yi? KJ Father: That Young Yi kid, she’s really poisonous. HH: For the sake of our Kyung Jun, I’m going to have to treat her even worse. Male Co-worker: Lee Young Yi, are you in your right mind? How could you order so much supplies for a test item? We got a 100 times more than other items! 100 times more! HM: Lee Young Yi-shi, how could this happen! Ugh. HM is such a witch, not to mention that she's willing to fritter company resources and name in order to break up a personal relationship. HM is written as if she were the daughter/granddaughter of the company rather than just a relatively low-level employee. All the stuff she pulls, not to mention how much time she wastes while she's trying to harm YY or promote herself to KJ and his family, the lack of professional behavior and results should have been noted by her supervisor, you would think. And how could HH be even meaner to YY? She's already hit her, pushed her, yelled at her, and assigned her to field assignments on multiple times? Is she planning on killing her off as well, just as she did to YY's father? Also, I think that EH will find out that his mother is not all willing when it comes to him after all. I liked watching the clip of KJ, YY, and MRN, but skipped all of the others. I'm probably going to skip today's episode, and possibly tomorrow's as well while YY suffers.

    I'm really, if cautiously, looking forward to this drama. I like both leads, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this relationship develops, even if there is a bit of a hint of 'Emergency Couple' in the set up. A 30 sec preview with translations of the captions and the voiceovers. Captions unless otherwise noted with initials when it’s a voiceover. I am a lawyer who specializes in divorce.     Thank you for posting news stories about BTS @twink_twink_! I admit that I'm not as good unless they're releasing a new song or MV, so it's nice you posting things here. I also don't read that many articles, so it's extra nice to come here and read them. So, thanks again! I'm excited that j-hope is going to be performing in NY, though it would have been nice to have all the guys. However, I would surprised if they did any group activities, except for stuff that has been pre-filmed, e.g. Run BTS, until they have all done their military service. I miss Jin so much! Perhaps Jimin will go along again to enjoy the atmosphere? Looking forward to the next bit of solo music to drop. Listening to 'Indigo' a lot, though 'Proof' is on heavier rotation for me.

    Just caught the scene of DY causing a fuss to EH in front of EJ. Wow, she is such a spoiled child! Can't believe that she's scolding EH for "betraying" her dead brother by liking YY, and the way she spitefully said that she would go tell her mother and EH's mother. It seems that DS and DY follow their mother with have shallow, spiteful, and selfish they all are. I can't believe that the MIL wanted HM's mother to buy her luxury goods for herself and for DS in exchange for getting YY putting in a good word for HM with the grandfather. Ugh. Tired of all of these people, and there were no scenes of KJ and MRN in today's episode, so it's good that they gave us something in the preview.

    I don't think very highly of the cousin at all. Regardless of how he felt about his aunt, he's taken her (well, SJ's) money to support himself and his family all this time. If he blames SR for his own family's failures, that's his prerogative, but it's completely two-faced to take her money, allowing his wife to kiss up to SR, all the while finding little ways to benefit himself at SR and her family's expense. Also, from clips in previous episodes, his wife was the one who got super excited about everything despite having a hard first pregnancy, not to mention being fine with selling SJ's name and face in order to try increase their own business. She comes across as being a bit thoughtless in her actions and super-emotional anyway. Both cousin and wife seem to be users, but the wife at least is upfront about it rather than a hypocrite towards SR and her family.

    Preview translation Grandfather: Have you looked into the kind of person that Lee Young Yi is before you objected to her? KJ Father: The level has to be appropriate though. (meaning that YY is too low class to even consider other things) MRN: It would be nice if ajusshi also lived with us. KJ: Ajusshi will try to go get Mirinae as soon as I can. (meaning he'll try to make that happen as soon as possible) YY FIL: That’s Young Yi, isn’t it? YY MIL: What is that? Who is she being like that with? Huh? Awww. Any scene with KJ and MRN makes me smile. The three of them are so cute. I hope that their relationship is revealed to the FIL and MIL rather than another cover up. It feels as if it needs to so that KJ and YY can progress their relationship. Given how much KJ and MRN adore each other as well as KJ and YY, it seems that quick progression would be good. Also, if HM's parents find out as well, that would completely spike HM's guns in terms of her trying to get KJ for herself still since her father, at least, would totally object to such appalling behavior, and even her mother would object though it would be because she couldn't bear the idea of HM being with a man who preferred YY.

    He confessed to YY knowing that he would be rejected, but feeling that perhaps if he was definitively rejected that he would move on. However, in the clip where he's talking to his sister, he says how he is still unable to move on and wanted to stay by YY's side. He also said it was clear that YY would suffer from being in a relationship with KJ, and when she needed someone to turn to, that he wanted to be there for her, however, he wanted to do so without hiding his feelings for her from her. Interestingly enough, EJ asks whether he's sure that their mother would not object, and EH mentions that he feels their mother would welcome her as long as he wanted to be with her. I'm not sure that EH's mother would be that welcoming to YY as a potential DIL, however, I don't think it's going to get to that stage. Similar to how I wonder how HH will feel about HM as a DIL to her actual son versus to KJ, I think EH's mother may not be as welcoming to YY as a DIL rather than as a friend to her children. As @Zoazementioned, SJ is trying to find DJ and his family because of the guild he feels over it. I hurt for them all already, knowing that DJ is the man who was killed. Btw, from the last clip of HH on the phone, it makes me wonder if he's the birth father for SJ? The man on the phone wants to see SJ, and says that it's not about money, but affection. While the man is after more money as well since he mentions how he needs so many things even when he's living as if he were dead, his familiar speech with HH and the way he talks about SJ makes me wonder.
