@mademoiselle I like romance stuff; of course. But I really have no idea what's come out lately. I feel like I haven't surfaced for air in weeks. I think I talked to @TRaNz like 3 weeks ago? and that's it. I have no idea about drama-land..... but if the romance is cute, I'm in!

I am on summer break from school though. I have life things going on but I'll be around a lot more than I have been the past few months. I legitimately did NOT think I would be as busy as I was. It was horrible! . 18 again is that Chinese drama right? I've had it on my list forever but just no time to watch. 

@SilverMoonTea Probably! Idk what exactly I'll watch yet. I'm kind of just in "oh I'm done, I can relax" mode. Don't want to do anything except veg and play video games. LOL

@SilverMoonTea I've been stuck working on school stuff in every spare moment. You should see more of me May-August though. 

@mirmz omg. Your teacher sounds JUST LIKE the Calculus teacher I had in high school! Do you have that class after lunch too? Because that would just be the icing on the cake for falling asleep in class!

Have you tried telling the teacher that you already know the material [and that she can quiz you on it to prove it] and asked if you can work on stuff for other classes until you get to material that you don't know? 

@mirmz Interesting! I don't think I've ever done it that way tbh. I usually do mine in worst to best class order. Leave plenty of time to do the classes I suck in and do the easiest classes last, where the procrastination isn't going to affect me as much. . I don't think I've ever taken consumer science but why don't you like history?

@mirmz Do you do the work for those classes first to get it out of the way?

I wasn't even going to ask. It's smart not to tell anyone your age on the internet. Never know who's on the other end of the screen. 

I don't count Thanksgiving as a proper "break" since it's only a 4 day weekend vs having a couple weeks off from school. That's why I jumped straight to Christmas.  I'd ask if you had any plans for your birthday but considering the way my state is going [we're going back to uber lockdown starting tomorrow] and that you said your school has now shut down, I think you're in the same boat. =/

But hey! Not failing any classes is good! Especially since you don't like your math class and your teacher doesn't sound like he/she enjoys teaching. 

@mirmz Just woke up so it hasn't really gone anywhere yet. lol. Trying to wake up enough to be able to concentrate on my school work. Want to get it all done with so I can spend Thanksgiving weekend playing video games.

I don't know. I've always just liked figuring out variables and such. Plus, I had really good teachers for Algebra 1 and 2. It's easy to love a class when you're good at it and the teachers take the time to make sure you understand the core concepts. Also, math answers don't change! Once you understand how to figure things out, you'll know how to do it every time. Unlike with some other classes where the concepts/accepted outcomes change every few months it seems. 

If you don't have Netflix, where do you watch your anime?

I love how you guys tag me for this but not @TRaNz. Is he really that scary?   @bairama Don't think I didn't notice you were the instigator here.  

@mirmz I actually liked Pre-algebra and Algebra in general. Guess I'm the oddball here. lol.  If you're still looking for an anime and have any interest at all in Greek mythology, Blood of Zeus on Netflix is pretty good! Not sure what the viewer rating is though so might want to eyeball that first.

We've been friends for years so it doesn't count! You should do it though. Just stay away from mentions of TS and you're golden. There's plenty of stuff that you can say about yourself that most people here wouldn't easily be able to guess!

I brought the hidden one to Soju's attention but he's sleeping right now so can't fix it until morning.

Yeah, this quarter ends Dec 15th and I think the Winter term starts January 7th? The schedule is a little weird right now so it's hard to say exactly when classes end/begin atm.

No. We're in the 4th week of a 10 week term at this point. If we were going to get handouts, we'd have to have already gotten some. I've already done the first unit test in every class. lol. 

I figure if they didn't give me practice stuff to work with, then I have to find it myself. I can't afford [literally. I'm paying for this class!] to fail so I won't allow myself to fail without trying everything possible first.

I am relieved that at least you are studying online and not having to go to campus! I have been following bits of the news of outbreaks on US campuses and it does not sound great. Online learning sounds really tough, I did a couple of online courses before and 2-hour lecture is more like 4-6 hours because I keep stopping to replay what the lecturer said! To do a full course load, I can't imagine!

Yeah, the majority of classes here in my state are done online and will continue to be. That's part of why my class schedule is so hectic over the next few quarters. I do have classes like science and art to do to finish my degree but those require going on campus, which isn't a thing right now. I think only classes like Commercial Baking, Welding, and Automotive are still on campus and that's just because they NEED to be on campus for the equipment. I enjoy online classes usually but not for certain subjects. I do a lot better in a classroom for math based subjects so it's going to be interesting to see how that goes.

I actually took all but my math courses online before so the learning online portion isn't new to me. The lack of lectures is though. My last school was really big on keeping everything identical so the in class lectures were always recorded and posted online, the homework was the same for online/in class sessions, etc. So to come to a course where they just don't do lectures is really odd. I'm fine with it for most stuff but math based classes are the exception. The book tends to go from the problem straight to the answer with none of the description/showing work and I need to see the work to understand how to do it so it's a lot of trial and error on that. I think I spend triple the amount of time on anything math related as I do on my Human Genetics course and most of it is spent googling how to do a problem or practice problem sheets with answer keys.

Yes. A returning college student though. I'm not fresh out of high school. lol. I'm trying to do a career change at the moment so I'm working on finishing my Bachelor's in Accounting.

hahaha. I'm trying not to be but learning everything online is a bit more difficult than actually physically going to class. It's a lot of figuring things out myself since there's not someone to actually show me how to do it. Most of the professors are just like "read this chapter, do X homework, take X test. I won't be doing lectures this quarter since everything is online." And then they don't respond to any questions. ><

Pretty much 100% school and work. I took a day last week where I didn't do anything school related and just played creepy video games but then I had to spend all day yesterday on school stuff to make up for it. 

How are you? School has started back up for you too, right? How's that going?

@bairama It's not just @TRaNz I haven't really spoken to, it's everyone.   

I'm actually back in school full time right now to finish my degree. Life is hectic with class and work and it's going to get worse over the next couple of years because my major is business and it's apparently one of the harder learning tracks.  Next quarter for instance is all math. I have a feeling I'll never be coming up for air then. LOL. 

I do miss you guys though and I will definitely show up on Discord more during breaks! 

@mademoisellesia I saw this when I was browsing around late last night but I had to just put it on my plan to watch list. School started so I don't have the free time to pick any shows up right now. 

Remind me again when the show has completed airing. I might be far enough ahead in work at that point that I can spend a weekend binging.
