  1. I really like this drama a lot, but have no time to write much about it because of RL demands during year end. Anyway, you guys have written a lot of what I thought and felt too, so nothing new to add. My fave would be ep.6 so far, but the new episodes later might just become another new fave. It’s not easy to write a story that goes back and forth with flashback and I have always enjoyed such storytelling more instead of the linear timeline ones. I think this drama has done the storytelling and flashback well. I too love that we get to hear the thoughts of the main characters. Some of the camera angles are unusual too that added to the feels of the characters inner thoughts. Hopefully I can come write more soon.
  2. Ep.20 Sword fights all around. - Urgh, that Prince Wonsan killed Gyeom without blinking an eye. It's so sad to see Dam-i crying over him. However, I do think the little boy is too weak to become a king. So happy though that Guard Ga-On did not hesitate to deliver such a strong blow to WonSan, but why not a fatal blow. I'm sorry to say that I already knew Hyun will not be able to protect Gyeom, LOL... He can't fight as fierce as the others. - My guess was right. JW's father died while fighting, and at the hand of the evil grandpa too. Urgh, why is this old man so powerful?? So difficult to get rid of? - So sad, the part when Dam-i was telling JW that she wants a hairpin as a gift from him. Then also when she was asking CL Kim to brew the tea. - Am glad to see the grandpa's face red with anger when he knew he's been poisoned. But urgh, why did she have to die with him? She could've consulted JW and take an antidote first? - How long has the time passed? that JW still cannot change out of his bloodied clothes? LOL... - Whatever happened WonSan? Nothing is mentioned about him... but am so pleased that Hyun took the throne. He will be a good king. - Love the happy ending, but seriously, I think this drama will be more enjoyable if kept to shorter version eg.16 episodes. Somehow I feel that in the middle there are stuff that's unnecessary. It's just a fight against the grandpa after all. Took a bit too long to take him down. But when it happened, it seemed quite easy, although there were many lives sacrificed.
  3. Just finished ep.19... Urgh, why can't someone just kill that evil grandpa... - I knew things were too early to have a wrap since we still have one full episode to go through. Not to mention that brother of Hyun is still roaming out there. - Still guessing that JW's father will die while fighting the two big baddies instead of getting the punishment from King Hwi/Dam. - Dam-i is super cool when coming in full authority to arrest her grandpa - So glad that Hyun did not die. The brother still has a little bit of heart left it seems.
  4. Me too... Please, please, please.... Can't find where to watch too.... You know the part where she was walking to him, calling "oppa, oppa" ~ I'm sure they cut the part when they first met, probably a hug there? Hahaa... coz suddenly it's cut to awkward scripted "how are you" and stuff...
  5. This week's episodes been just so-so. And I'm getting tired of DD not helping YG also. When he asked to clarify certain things as his memory is coming back bits and pieces, she should help him instead of getting mad at him. The guy lost his memory, for goodness sake! The saving grace was the last few minutes of ep.26 when YG finally remembered his relationship with SR and with DD. Yes to this part. I feel so frustrated with her. But I guess that's the olf typical setup of kdrama female protagonist, which usually work for the weekender viewers. Allowing herself to suffer in silence and not wanting to "hurt" anyone... just that it's rather inconsistent with her earlier character portrayal when she was quite active pursuing a clear response from YG towards her confession. I had thought her character was rather refreshing being full of initiatives be in a relationship with him. I guess she also forgot she was the one pursuing YG instead of him pursuing her while supposedly being engaged.... I am looking forward to how SR and DR will get the wrath from YG. And it will get exciting because the little boys are starting on their cupid mission OST#4 ~ Hidden Path (Jeong Dong Won)
  6. Thank you!! I've been wondering where I have seen her before. She looks and feels sooooo familiar, yet I cannot think of which dramas I've seen her in... LOL, maybe my subconscious has been trying to delete that drama from memory
  7. Oh well, I got excited for a few seconds there... I don't mind at all if YSJ playing the love she eventually marry.
  8. Aren't we still in 2021?... You time travelled??
  9. Finished. No tears 😆 (good thing no eye-rolling as well). Had to take the risk, because come weekend, there will be other new episodes, so must catch up. We’ve been shown that Hyun Soo is left-handed. Will this play a part to prove his innocence? The police and investigators are really doing haphazard job with this case that went on national news. I want them to be shamed, nationally. It doesn’t seem that the retiring officer and annoying prosecutor are being ordered by anyone. They just really could care less about the truth of what happened that night.
  10. Wait, what?... We had this similar bucket count thing for one drama before (Youth of May?) but for this drama?? I was about to start ep.6, should I find another time? Don’t wanna go to bed with puffy eyes.
  11. Very well said for the whole post above @abs-oluteM I totally agree.
  12. Actually, I think it's more like "let go/give up" instead of "throw away"... So for me watching with Chinese subs, it didn't sound as cruel. I do wonder what was the reason she broke up with him. Could it be the request of his parents? Because she did mention that it wasn't entirely her fault that they broke up (ep.4). But at one point, it showed that she got along fine with his mother. Enjoyed ep.3-4. I really like the way this drama is telling the story. Especially the part about the 10 things I hate about you at the beginning of ep.3, when CW was telling how he disliked certain traits of YS but it turned out that she always had him in her mind after all. LOL... he is totally using the same trick to get back at YS with the new documentary thing. "I jump, you must jump too"...
  13. Yup yup... he was marvelous there as the autistic brother, though the drama doesn't get a 10/10 from me.
  14. Sigh... barely 5 minutes into ep.19 and I kept tearing up already... Saving the last two episodes for a more suitable time to watch, haha... Staying away from this thread till then to avoid spoilers
  15. I must’ve missed the part saying that she has been under rehab. 🤔 nope, wasn’t me either... haha... @SnowBlob I had to shelf away Chimera for now, because too many dramas!! I will watch, soon... Yes, come watch One Ordinary Day with us. @liddi I wrote something to you on the Uncle thread, basically about When Camellia Blooms, where OJS got his award for Best Supporting Actor. But all those got deleted when the site was under maintenance as I clicked on Submit. Then I forgot to write again 😅... Camellia scored 10/10 for me. It’s a good drama and won many awards.
  16. I don’t think it’s going away soon. It’s the main arc of the story, otherwise they wouldn’t have included it in the character description. I love seeing Sara being exasperated and always having to run behind him in heels because he is in a hurry to go somewhere... I mean, to run away from her 🤣 I thought I was the only one who wondered about this. Nope, am pretty sure they didn’t spend the night together. Or maybe she slept the night with him keeping watch? Need to go back and see that first time they met.
  17. RL suddenly is tying me down and I will not be able to spend too much time on JH this week. I am fine with what we know of him, so I don’t have to feel bad when he died. His life, or rather, childhood was really tragic, I thought. I pity him that he lived a distressing life and been suicidal until he found a “purpose” in life. Wonder who/where he grew up after his father hanged himself. The reveal of why he kept such a grudge inside him was done well, even though it’s shown only in the last episode. I actually like the way he was “killed” by the mountain. I thought it was rather poetic 😆 You give me a bad name, so here’s your punishment. But for me, it’s like why now? Why not earlier when death count is lower?? Orrrrrr, the mountain was just saving SYG, coz no one is coming to her rescue yet 🤔 I was hoping it was CGI because honestly, the whole time watching that scene I was nervous and kept thinking “someone’s gonna fall, someone’s gonna fall”... but of course, it was the last few minutes, surely writer-nim will spare our rangers from another rescue effort and just let them enjoy the sunrise? Hahaaa... One thing that I think could be done better was about SYG being able to walk again, and back to being a ranger at that! They could’ve shown that all these times she’s been on a physiotherapy, show a session, or just mention she is heading/late for a session. It would be more believable than a year later miraculously she is able to use her both legs already. It was a good script and enjoyable watch, mainly because I love the mountains. I do have some irks about the production, but I shall forget them and not rant here.
  18. Yes I did... was about to mention it to you guys. I agree.
  19. I cried so much towards the end of the finale... Will be back again to post more thoughts since it’s way past midnight now.
  20. Well, I am happy with how it ends. Although I'd like to know how Hyun was saved when I already prepared my heart that he really died, I can go with it coz like @Dhakra said, as long as he is alive, that's what matters. I laughed too and that was so considerate of them to think of that way. He's always been so considerate by asking people to stay away from him. Those gears he had on is almost like the equivalent of us wearing masks nowadays. I admit I had to think for a second what those rubber dishwashing gloves were for, then I remembered it's to avoid scratching other people. How thoughtful.... And it seems that he is not the only with with antibodies. It seems like the old lady of 301 has antibodies too? Me too. Not interested to know more about them. 1201 is a bit cuckoo already I think... All she think of is being the rep. Gosh, that cleaning couple... they're as bad as 1201 and 601. I laughed so much watching them already changed out of their clothes and wearing the 601 clothes. How delusional were they to think they can take up another person's home and life... I think it's similar to the different reactions that people showed when infected by covid. Some showing more severe symptoms, some just mild symptoms and some without any. I am still thinking whether I want to know about what happened to the lawyer and mistress.... They need to face some consequences too. But I guess they didn't really do anything illegal? Could that be the reason why it's not shown? And I do want to know about Police Hyung and Supermarket Girl. Where are they and how are they?... But I am happy with the ending. One thing if they can make SY said that her mother is waiting for her, that'll be great, though it's pretty clear she's living with her mother.
  21. Another enjoyable episode. The last part was so funny I was smiling and grinning while watching. Dan Dan so pretty YG: “I am going to like Teacher Park. I will not call her noona anymore.” 😆 so that’s why they were overdoing it with the “noona” calling.
  22. It’s finally clear the who and why all the killings happened. What’s left is the apprehending and wrapping up of our leads story... This drama won for the most awaited drama in 2021 in JH, and I didn’t even vote for it, haha. I really didn’t expect myself to enjoy it so much. I like it and has no problem with the going back and forth with the timeline. It’s just another way of storytelling. I do have some issues with certain portrayal of events/scenes, some I have mentioned before, but those didn’t disturb me too much that I couldn’t enjoy the drama. My only hope for the ending is for KHJ to please please recover his consciousness.
  23. I am there with you. My motto is, if you don’t help yourself, no one can help you. Yeah but some 25 yo already a father... But I thought he is younger. Still in university, right? 😂 Now, that I didn’t notice. Too busy reading subs and watching them 🤣
  24. Agree with what you both have written above. See how foolish he is... He never gives any information that may help his case at all to his lawyer. It's like he doesn't use his brain at all and can only cower in fear. He is too consumed by his worry and fear. He only keeps saying he didn't do it. He is so lucky to meet a good lawyer in Shin, who believes him based on gut feel. Otherwise, Hyun Soo is basically dead meat in his case. Yes, I'm getting quite impatient with him now. If I were his lawyer, I would've slammed down my hand on the table for him to tell me more That said, I pitied him a lot for the bullying that happened to him. Yes, that burning of his palm was really hard to watch. That was too funny... and I guess you weren't watching with subs? Because it ain't happy times at all, like @Chocolate mentioned. Big fail there Me too... but so clever the way they smuggled the drug in. I still want to know more about him. You know that luminol picture of naked Hyun So? They should shoot his butt too for the luminol reaction. I bet there'll be lots of blood spotted also. Then one should wonder how a stabbed and dead girl could still grab his butt, right?
