  1. I don't think she was committed to him either. Just like he was a benefactor to Qiu Min, he was originally one to Qiu Yan too. I do feel a little bad for him because both girls used him and his status. I also agreed that the fall of the Qiu Family has helped them in many ways including humbling a few of them. I do hope that Liang Yi is able to restore their status, or at least help clear them of any misunderstandings. I know it'll be tough because Yuan Lang doesn't plan on backing down. Yuan Lang is dead set on destroying Liang Yi for what he did to him before and doesn't care about the collateral damage. I think the half sisters have a complicated relationship. Qiu Min's mother doted on Qiu Yan growing up because she also had a similar background. Qiu Min probably felt conflicted seeing this and I guess it doesn't help that all the men in her life (Qin Xuan and Liang Yi) both adored Qiu Yan. That's good to know about Ms. Truth! I didn't watch it but I was interested, then it just never happened. I'm curious about Be My Princess and will probably watch it for Jeremy but I'm not that excited for Zhou Jie Qiong either. Honestly, all his upcoming female leads are a bit underwhelming. In Chong Zi, his female lead is Yang Chaoyue and for Zao Zuo Shi Guang, his female lead is Meng Ziyi. I'm not familiar with Meng Ziyi, but I've seen some of Yang Chaoyue's dramas and she's ok. Jeremy also have quite the age gap with them. Yang Chaoyue is 23, so he's about 13 years older (not that it matters)! The drama talked about how his dad did not want him to avenge his death, which is enough to suggest that his dad died because of outside factors. I think that Liang Yi is still looking into his dad's death. I also think that Liang Yi's straightforwardness is the result of his dad's passing -- he's not able to be that carefree boy anymore. @40somethingahjumma You and I get sucker into these dramas because we love the connection between the leads. This one and our previous one, Cupid's Kitchen. Hahaha! I love that we are all continuing to watch because we love Jeremy and his voice.
  2. @JenL They released a teaser! Yay!! Scheduled to air some time in April.
  3. @Kriysw @mademoiselle So far, nothing has been confirmed for the Chinese remake of Run On. I think the latest drama Chinese entertainment is thinking about remaking is W: Two Worlds. Im Si Wan's dramas are in the clear...for now. I might be in the minority because I don't mind the perm that much on him the way I do with Kim Nam Gil in TTD. Haha! I have similar views. I think Dong Joo's ultimate target is In Tae Joon but has to start with his minions first. From what I saw in episode 5, Oh Young is someone who have always wanted to do the right thing, but when the entire force is against that, he just submit to whatever they were doing. I hoping that with Dong Joo there and the commissioner having his back, he'll actually do the right thing for once or at least stand up to that group. Thanks @Kriysw for the subs as always!!
  4. @Chocolate @SilverMoonTea I enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. I remembered reading it in a day because I was so into it. I've only watched clips of the movie. I thought that the book was written so well, I didn't want to tint it by watching the movie. The other one from the list I read is Harry Potter. I even went to the Warner Bros Studio in London to see all the props they used in the movies. Haha!
  5. I loved the fencing scene with BYJ and NHD. They formed such a beautiful friendship and I can't wait to see how they both grow into themselves. I think we should brace ourselves for a sad ending but hope for a happy one. I love the song this drama is based on and it's about grieving. The name of the album the song was released on is called Goodbye, grief. The album was about the journey one takes as they cope with grief.
  6. Produce placement in the pre-release too.
  7. Seung Tak teasing Crystal, haha! Finale week, yay!! 🥳🥳
  8. @stroppyse Hahahaha!! He plays the older brother and will actually be part of the main couples, not someone who was added later because the audience liked him like how it was in BLWL. Yoon Shi Yoon's and Bae Da Bin's greetings. They look nice together. =)
  9. This is interesting news --- I wonder what it means by "special appearance" hopefully, it's not something like a photo, video conference call, etc.
  10. For anyone who is interested in watching Chinese dramas and want recommendations, this list from Drama Potatoe has a lot of good ones. https://dramapotatoe.com/c-dramas-recommendation-masterlist-historicals-to-moderns-and-more/

  14. Chong Zi 重紫 Chinese Title: 重紫 / Chong Zi Novel: Chong Zi by Shu Ke Director: Liu Guo Hui Screenwriter: Tang Qi Cen Genre: Xianxia, Romance Episodes: 40 Broadcasting Network: TencentVideo Airing Date: Feb. 15th, 2023 Synopsis Ten thousand years at a glance, two generations of being master and disciple, three generations of romance. Chongzi, a young woman born with evil miasma, was destined to sink into darkness. The peerless and venerable Luo Yinfan becomes her teacher. A scourge of the six realms, the demon king Nilun (Yu Bo) was annihilated leaving the demon clan in tatters as they escape into the mortal realm. Chongzi (Yang Chaoyue) is pure and kind, yet she is the daughter of Nilun. After being saved by the immortal Chu Bufu (Gao Han), she becomes determined to cultivate at Nanhua but is turned away due to the miasma she was born with. It has been foretold that she will become a demon. At this time, the venerable Luo Yinfan (Xu Zhengxi) surprisingly accepts Chongzi as his disciple. From thenon, she becomes his only apprentice. Chongzi is very reliant on Luo Yinfan and wishes for nothing more than to be by his side. In turn, Luo Yinfan promises to protect her. Alas, a conspiracy leads to Chongzi's imprisonment. Luo Yinfan is unable to do anything to help and even has to "finish" her off for the sake of peace. In her second life, Chongzi comes to Nanhua again. Luo Yinfan recognizes her in one glance. In order to protect her, he seals the evil miasma within her and keeps her close, thus continuing their relationship as master and disciple. However, there is no escape from the wheel of fate. Chongzi once again becomes the target of a multitude of arrows. In a fit of rage, she embraces her demonic side and reaches the point of no return. Fate has played a cruel joke on the star-crossed lovers - one is the venerable master who carries the world on his shoulders while the other has the blood of the demon clan flowing in her veins. They helplessly fell in love, helplessly turned against each other, yet they still cannot break free from their feelings. Destiny is never merciful, the grievances between immortals and demons never ended because everything is just beginning. Can their love shake the rules of heaven and earth? 15. Hahaha! By that comment, how many have you adopted so far this year?! @JenL Prison Playbook is good, definitely watch it when you have time (preferably sooner than later...haha!).
  16. @SilverMoonTea I'm in the minority because I've only read two from that list. I'm not big on sci-fi so all of those books, I did not read.
  17. @stroppyse I didn't watch any of the women figure skating competition even though it's shown up multiple time as recommended videos for me on YT. It's been tinted by this scandal. I know! I can barely ski forward and these people are going backwards up the side of the half pipe. Skeleton is probably the sport that I don't think I can ever imagine trying out. It looks so dangerous! One small mistake and it can lead to spinal injuries or something.
  18. It's his real voice and I think all the voices might be their real ones -- at least, I know the male lead and second male lead are using their real voices. I'm not too familiar with the female leads, but it doesn't seem like they are voice overs. I watched to episode 22 and nothing is official either. It's obvious that Liang Yi likes Qiu Yan, but she has yet to discover her feelings. There was a moment when she was asked to think of someone she hate and love and she thought of him. Continuing on about Qiu Min, I dislike watching her try so hard with Qin Xuan. I don't think she needs to sell herself short when it comes to him, but I understand she's in survival mode right now. He is basically her benefactor and she has to do what she can to live the lifestyle she wants. I don't know what's going to happen when Qin Xuan finds out that she's been lying to him, it probably won't go well. New poster of the leads. Episode 27 Teaser Episode 28 Teaser
