    @OsmanthusTea Does that mean Yuan Lu doesn't live pass 20?! My heart. If LTG and YY ends up together....for some reason, I find that amusing because of how often the two actors constantly fight about who is shifu's favorite. How far into the drama are you and everyone else? I am on episode 27, a bit behind the airing schedule.

    Hahaha, I think they do! The little crumbs they left us at the end was nice, but the emphasis on the age gap.

    @stroppyse I dropped Nam Soon, but even so, I really wished for Byun Woo Seok to have a better ending. I have a soft spot for him ever since 20th Century Girl. Plus, he was handsome as the villain in Nam Soon, right? I don't think I shipped any doomed relationships this year. I've had quite a few SLS in the past, but I don't know if there was any I felt strongly about this year. If I had to pick one, maybe The Starry Love. I don't even know if this one counts (LOL!) because the relationship I loved the most was between La Mu and Ye Tan (FL). La Mu is a shard that was reincarnated from Shao Dian You Qi (ML), so technically La Mu is the male lead.

    @mademoiselle That's cute, but honestly, I was holding my breath praying that the plastic cutting knife didn't poke her in the eye or anything like that. This was a stressful video to watch at the beginning.

    A Drama I Wished I Didn't Watch My Lovely Liar - Not sure what happened but after a few episodes, it just seemed like the drama was not going anywhere.

    From my experience of watching wuxia dramas, usually one of the main characters is sacrificed. With Yuan Lu's illness, the drama is setting it up to be him, but it could very well be Yuanzhou or Ruyi too. I really hope everyone is alive and happy at the end. I thought this scene was very touching and it shows how much Yuanzhou loves Ruyi. I don't think I would get in an ice bath for anyone. I would just dump them in the ice bath instead.

    @OsmanthusTea I know! When he's not obsessing over her, I actually really like him. He's very smart and you can tell he actually is a bit compassionate towards people. His abandonment trauma is so strong and he's struggling with it. I hope Li Tongguang gets the character growth he deserves because if he continues to be like this, I don't know how much of him I can watch. Li Tongguang with Yang Ying would be a nice twist, but Yang Ying's and Yuan Lu's comradery is so admirable. I think these two are closer in age too. Yang Ying is 16, Yuan Lu is 18, and Li Tongguang is 22. The rest of the A-Team is in their late 20s to early 30s.

    This drama is, essentially, the sequel to Ancient Love Poetry. Wang Anyu plays Gu Jin, who is the son of Shang Gu (played by Zhou Dong Yu) and Bai Jue (played by Xu Kai). Gu Jin's powers were sealed away. When Bai Jue sacrificed himself in Ancient Love Poetry, Shang Gu closed the God Realm and sent their son (Yuan Qi) away. However, I read that the drama is trying to separate themselves from Ancient Love Poetry, so they changed Shang Gu's and Bai Jue's name in the drama. This drama (and novel) is on the Phoenix Queen, Feng Yin (played by Zhao Lusi). I watched the first two episodes and so far, it's been enjoyable. I have never seen Wang Anyu in a costume drama before so it'll be interesting to see how he does giving life to his character. Lusi is great as usual and it seems like both actors dubbed their characters. More Photos.
