  1. Hahaha! It appears @JenL and I have very similar taste. This year, I am grateful that a lot of streaming services picked up Korean dramas. I would say a good portion of the dramas I watched was because it's on Netflix or Hulu. I didn't have to use a third party streaming website for that many dramas.
  2. @mademoiselle I would love to see him in a historical drama again, but I wonder if he has trauma from what happened. He matches historical dramas really well. You know, there are a lot of oppas I have these kind of thoughts about. For example, Yang Se Jong should stay away from romance dramas because he does better in non-romance dramas. Wu Lei's and Ding Yuxi's costume dramas are better than their modern dramas. No one should ever dub Jeremy Tsui's voice if he's in a historical drama. I have this image of the actors I like and I tend to be a bit specific on what kind of genres I'd like to see them in. No more Chae Jong Hyeop dramas for a while. He was adorable in Castaway and it's one of my favorite project he's been in since Witch's Diner.
  3. Liu Yuning sang the opening OST at the Weibo event yesterday. He also picked up an award too. Same with Liu Shishi.
  4. @SilverMoonTea So efficient to get everything ordered and out within two hours. Haha!
  5. It's a bit unclear at the moment. He's portrayed as bad and doing whatever he can to stop the delegation from getting to An to save the captured Emperor. There was a scene where he told the Empress it was his uncle who ordered the attack (the epic fight in ep8). Where we are right now, they were attacked and it was said to be Prince Danyang's order, but it could have been someone making the order under his name again.
  6. @SilverMoonTea @mademoiselle I feel like I should watch My Man is Cupid to see why Tea adopted him so quickly.
  7. @OsmanthusTea We (as in @mademoiselle, @stroppyse, and I) would have talked about it with you! We all like the fox brothers. I wished I watched When I Fly Towards You sooner. This drama aired at the same time as Hidden Love so it flew under the radar for many including me. I'm not a huge fan of youth dramas but every so often, I find myself watching one that turns out to be a gem. It was a sweet and heartwarming drama with the loveliest main couple. As @themarchioness mentioned, this drama introduced me to Zhou Yi Ran, who was great as the quiet male lead who lacks confidence in himself. He slowly starts to change after meeting the female lead, who is more of an extrovert and someone who lights up the room wherever she goes. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed. Thank you for always experimenting with us! LOL!
  8. The leaf that fell on him was not on purpose, but it fit in so well in that scene. Hahaha!
  9. I like this relationship as well as the relationship between Yuan Lu and Ruyi. They really look up to her as an older sister.
  10. Li Tongguan has an unhealthy obsession with Ruyi that it's almost borderline creepy. I get that he has abandonment issue, but it doesn't make it ok. Maybe it's because I have a bit of trauma with this, but I was a bit grossed out by his actions. I hope LYN and FYL continue to escort princesses together in the future.
  11. I agreed that some of the short form dramas have been entertaining and well acted. Cheng Lei, is an actor who blew up in My Journey to You. I originally know him from a short drama where every episode is around 10 minutes long. It was a nice drama and I recommend it if you have time! It's called A Familiar Stranger. I love all the responses so far. I read them going, "Yes! That was a good one. Ooh, and that one too!" Haha!
  12. @Chocolate I bought two jackets for Black Friday. I probably didn't really need any of them.
  13. I like that all the characters has had their own growth in either little or big ways. It sends the message that everyone has flaws even if they are the most respected. I was wondering why Yuanzhou leaves everything to Qian Zhao every time he leaves and I realized that Qian Zhao is second in command. It seems, when the drama introduced the A-Team, they might have been introduced according to their rank. This sudden change in demeanor was so good. Liu Shishi is such an amazing actress! I agreed with you and @SilverMoonTea. I am not sure what to think of him because he can be a bit one dimensional with his expressions. I haven't finished both episodes for today yet but it seems like we might get more from him once he's reunited with Ruyi.
  14. @mademoiselle I listened to that song and thought it was way too slow for the tone of this drama. I only realized after that it's probably the song they will use for the ML and his failed relationship. This drama is coming up quick. I hope it's as good as the manhwa.
  15. The biological dad ending his life is nothing but a coward's way out of never taking responsibility for his behavior. I was greatly disappointed that the drama chose this route for him instead of having him face the punishment of his crimes. I'm glad Kang Appa survived. I'm watching a Chinese drama right now and cut/stab to the neck means automatic death, so I was bracing myself for the worst. He is the family's protector and everyone would have raged against the drama writer if they made him die. I think the drama wrapped up in a very sweet way where every good character got a satisfying ending. Their smiles! Credit They both reached their dreams. Credit
  16. Here's the next question! We often ask each other for recommendations or we would tag one another when we're watching a good drama. However, was there a drama you watched this year where you went in not knowing much and ended up really liking it? For me, it would have to be Oh No! Here Comes Trouble (Taiwanese Drama). I can't even remember how I started watching it, but I was glad I did. I ended up really liking the drama and thought it was well done.
  17. I went from to when I saw everyone was throwing leaves down at them. Hahaha!
  18. @mademoiselle @stroppyse I expect to see Hidden Love on your list for this question. Tagging others to join in too: @Chocolate @JenL@ktcjdrama @abs-oluteM @40somethingahjumma @OsmanthusTea @IpohBanana @Yana @ssteph @UnniSara @Maya @dramabler @Min86 @Mizv @gilaswan @Alice Wonderland @NiteWalker @Lynne @N3buLa84 @themarchioness @Phikyl @LaLa @liddi Apologies if I forget anyone.
  19. @mademoiselle I forgot this drama aired. Why is everything on a Friday?!
  20. The BTS for this drama and the video chat the cast did together make me enjoy this drama even more. 💜
  21. I don't know about everyone, but I don't feel like the drama is moving forward. It's on this endless loop of the same conflict in every episode. We did get some movement with episode ten, but it's little and we still have four more episodes left. I don't know if I can watch them talk about the same thing for an entire episode again.
  22. This is kind of a hard question now that I think about it. I looked at the list of dramas I watched this year and I don't know if there was one that bought me immense joy. I would get excited when a drama start, but it's short-lived. The drama would start dragging on and I, maybe, continue to watch because I've watched too many episodes to stop. However, one that is bringing me joy right now is A Journey to Love. As an avid Chinese drama watcher, I watched the least amount of Chinese dramas this year compared to other years. There were so many misses for me, but this drama is so fun to watch. I like so many things about it and it's definitely consumed all my drama watching time since it's aired. @mademoiselle Did you figure out yours yet?
  23. These boys are so funny in real life too. Haha!
