A master piece remaked from 1984 Film. It was adapeted into a tv series in 2000 which was the version I watched. I had enjoyed it too.

I love this film so much and I am at loss for words to describe it.  The cinematography was amazing. The locations they used to film were beautiful. 
 This film was adapted by book by Frank Herbert. I believe they did the best stick to the novel. I don’t know how may movies will be made but this was part 1.

 

We are introduced to two of Houses , the Abreiters and Horkonnes. One house is about loyalty and the other for greed/ power. Both houses will fight for power.

Then we have the Emperor who rule over the Dune who fears the power of the Abreites decided to get rid of them because of their strength & power.  Then we meet the Sister ( Bene Gesserit) who is after ultimate power for time travel.
 

There is a hint of romance with the Paul Abreteis and  Fremen 

 

There is Betrayal  for faith and love

I haven't watched this new version out yet, but I intend to. Dune is such an epic story! It seems this version does it justice. The cinematography alone is amazing, and the cast is solid.

The Spice makes their eyes blue. Can't wait to see the sandworms.

The cast did an amazing job @stroppyse They bought their character to life and I was always able to sympathize even with the Villain of the story.  The cinematography was beautiful. The director shots was perfect because each scene was very impactful to me .
