  1. It's such a tragedy to know for sure that all the 5 children in the photo were all dead @liddi @Chocolate . All the people on the list would have been as well but good thing Kim Sol was found out before that happened (well if he weren't, then I think after killing those on the list, Kim Sol would have moved into killing all the rangers too since he also disliked them very much).

@liddi LOL..your 'rambling' is always welcome anyway (got to know your rambling because of that cold case s3 hahahahaha).

    Spoiler

@ktcjdramaFinished watching ep 4 OOD.. hoping to finish ep 6 by tonight. Wohooo

Yes she was. But at the end, Kim Sol was not targeting the children. Hyeon Su, the soldier, who was the first to be killed, was his first and he just happened to be there I think.

But didn't Kim Sol in the end also kill officer Kim who was one of the children?

Sorry, I forgot but who was the 4th male child? (Kim Sol, Se Wook, Officer Kim, Yang Sun + ?)

If everyone in the family is to be killed, than Yan Sun's mother should be a target too. It shouldn't skip a generation to her.

I also forgot who the 5th child is~~ In the end all the children died  (except that 5th child whom I forget atm).

Good point about Yang Sun's mother~

Thanks @Chocolate! I was going to wait until One Ordinary Day finishes airing but since you said the last 2 eps will be this weekend then I might give this a try first (I didn't realise this but I know Chimera's ending will be this week as well that's why I wanted to give Chimera a go). :taebtsthanks:

@liddi The new OJS drama sounds heartwarming .. I might put it on my watch list

  3. So glad that we got to see a long scene of Gu Yeong's reminiscing about Yang Sun. Still very heartbroken about it though.. I wish that KEH chose someone else to kill off and let this couple had their happily ever after.

But Yang Sun's death was truly an accident right?

I think Jirisan is enjoyable enough for me to watch it until the end. It has some really cool episodes. But overall..Personally I feel it lacks something.... like...certain climax that I would expect to see in a drama with one big overarching theme. The two main characters were also so-so (and I don't particularly like SYG character) but this fact also makes it good in a way that this show doesn't put a lot of emphasis on how great/good looking the two main characters are. Sure SYG is really knowledgeable about the mountain and HJ had these visions. But other than that, they're portrayed just like other normal people. Another good thing is that we also got to see a lot of screen times for other supporting characters like Oh Jung Se etc.

Glad to see cameo of Lee Sun Bin and Kim Gab Soo ahjussi as HJ's sister and father respectively. Good to know who HJ's family members are - and they're such a loving family.

Thank you for sharing xx I enjoyed reading people's thoughts on each episode.

I don't recall it mentioned that Officer Kim's father died... do you remember which episode it was?

Don't trust my recollection though ... my memory on kdramas details is either so short-lived or jumbled up  I think in ep 13 or 14, when HJ was talking to... Kim Sol I think. Kim Sol was telling HJ how a few black ridge valley people died and these include his mother and Officer Kim's dad would died because of accident; and then his father who committed suicide. I think Kim Sol said something along that line.

Too many common surnames in the drama, making us look at every other person with beady eyes!

Can't help it~~ 2 more eps to go and I would like to believe that we have somehow encounter the killer/s already and not just once or twice but many times. Now everyone except the core rangers is a suspect! GAHAHHAHAHA

  5. 1 hour ago, liddi said:

@SnowBlob The killer is targeting all the residents who migrated, and YGT whose cable car plans brought about the tragedy in the village.

Ahhh... duhhh.. yes of course.. YGT wouldn't be in that migration list since he wasn't 'migrating'. I confused the migration list with the 'hit' list. Then I supposed the killer/s included KHJ name on the hit list probably because he threatened the success of his/her/their killing mission?

Also, then the killer/s removed the trophies because they were accidentally found by HJ when they got lost??

Oh..I thought officer Kim's father died due to the accident already? Not sure about the mother though.

Gahh...I think Asianwiki isn't really updating their characters with names. Can't really find a Hwang Gill Young there..and a few others I think :jiminbtssigh: Talking about a 'Hwang' ... There's someone with a surname "Hwang (Hwang Joo Ho) who is working at one of the offices.. Hahahaha..don't think he's related to this Hwang Gill Young?

I too find it difficult to accept the logic that KHJ was able to suddenly (out of desperation) pick up the walkie-talkie with his hands and talk to SYG. I know this is a supernatural genre after all, logic can be thrown out the window, but the show can still go the way of him using sticks and stones to make the walkie works...?

This..I agree -.- Unless KEH in the future episodes explain how this could be so :idk:

Yang Sun's body has not been found. Maybe she was rescued but had amnesia. Happens all the time 😂

Yes please..although then it would turn into a makjang drama ahhahahahaha

    1. So how did the criminal/s find out that Ghost HJ was telling YG the time and place of the upcoming murder? Did YG by any chance repeat out loud what Ghost HJ told her? Because the other 2 rangers couldn't even hear Ghost HJ's voice out of their walkie talkie.

    2. I wonder if the criminal/s also saw Ghost HJ talking to YG. If yes, then it means s/he/they will die soon HAHAHAHAHA

    3. I'm still not writing out the ex-chief (hahahahah just because I want to be right for once). But also, maybe the 3 guys were accomplice - Se Wook + Kim Sol + Woong Soon?

    4. So what's with the items found in the black ridge valley? Were they always there? I wasn't paying attention but I thought they're showing us that the rangers found them there, and then HJ remember seeing them when they're lost there with YG...but then later also showed how he remember someone? (Kim Sol?) said that there's nothing there??? Oh man I can't remember..so confusing.

Anyway..gotta go over the migration list Liddi posted again~

@Chocolate the web I usually use for kdrama streaming also playing up a lotttt...it's stopping frequently to the point sometimes I have to refresh or what not. Also one of many reasons I've only been watching one kdrama recently.

I cried so much this episode because of JGY... He can’t be the mystery guy. Crossed him out already. What happened to LYS was simply an accident. Very tempted to blame the lottery girl, but I guess it also wasn’t her fault? 2019 was indeed the summer with many sad things.

I'm so heartbroken for JGY TT_TT (KEH killed two more beloved characters *gasps* I just hope these two will be the last one she killed off). If only we know what consequences our actions result in... This lottery girl didn't think that her action would cause someone her life but it did unfortunately.

@liddi many thanks for the migration list! I"m gonna have to go over that list again soon while opening asianwiki to jog my memory of who is who :nervous:

  8. Wow... I kinda read what you all wrote 2.5 pages back..and getting towards the end I skimmed and here hoping that at least remember what I read (but pretty sure not) :JuiceGhost:  When reading your comments, I was like..ok..I gotta reply to this and that...and now I got here... I already kinda forget what comments I was going to reply to  So I'll try my best...

@liddi Yes I'm also wondering why HJ saw the missing boy case.. at this point of time we're at least not shown that it's meant to be a murder disguised as an accident.

@Chocolate LOLOLOL... I was really unhappy with the mother whose husband died because of the potato bomb and blamed it on the rangers.. seeing that she hadn't learnt her lesson and still doing illegal things. I'm glad that her children are all safe though.

@ktcjdrama arghh... I know I wanted to say something about what you said..but I can't remember what..I gotta get back to you later. EDIT: ah yes.. I was going to say about the Thailand boys cave rescue! same like Liddi, I just kept checking news every day to see what happened to the boys. It was such a great real-life story I hope they make it into a movie or something hahahahahah. But I remember being so super happy and relief when all the boys were able to go out safely because I was so invested in the story and had been following for so many days too~

I actually think that the ex-chief is a good candidate for the true mastermind behind all these deaths. First, because he would be there already as an adult in 1991 (and we see that the perpetrator was there in 1991 and killed Kim Sol's mum). Second, I agree that Capt Jo seemed surprised that his gloves were found held by LDW .. he did seem to know what's going on. And as others said, it seems he wants to protect that person. The ex-chief fits the bill too...he's very close to Capt Jo. Unless there are actually more than 2 perpetrators (Lee Sae Wook + his accomplice this present year + murderer in 1991). If they stick with 2 perpetrators (LSW + accomplice) .. then we can be pretty sure that the core team members are not it coz they're too young to be an 'adult'/or at least older teenagers?? in 1991. Hmm unless JGY and PIH are like in their 50s now? Shrugs...

As (who said...I think chocolate??) that Yang Sun might be dead in 2020 already... I can't wait to find out. I really hope not..I think JGY and YS loveline is really cute and I want a happy ever after for them.

Overall, very happy with the last 4 episodes. They slowly answered the many questions I have yay~ and also started revealing more and more connections between past and present. I also enjoyed the fire episodes... just pretty cool all together.. just a bit disappointed that HJ and YG weren't really really part of the team when all this happened (although they did contribute big time).

KEH killed LDW hahahahahahah. Although sad.. but I'm just glad that I haven't really grown too attached to LDW character so if a good guy must die... I'm just glad that it weren't any of the core team members we've seen from ep 1. But at the same time I dread the time when the criminals are revealed. I feel that it must be someone that we've grown to like a lot... and that's going to break my heart

For some reasons, I actually don't really pity YG about her being sad that LDW died. I kinda agree with what JGY said to her when she blamed Capt Jo for LDW death. YG was the one who sent LDW up there on the mountain. I feel that she should have been more careful.. she's pursuing a murderer who got away so many times...and she sent a new ranger up there on her own?!?!?!!? I just can't...

Hmmm.. do you think HJ's ghostly body was sort of more materialised after LDW's death? There was this scene which now I can't remember whether it's supposed to happen after LDW died or prior to (it's just because this scene was shown after LDW's death)..where HJ was on the ground, opened his eyes..and then suddenly there was these glowing bits around him... and then after that he went to check the signal and told the ahjussi to tell YG that the signal wasn't from him.

I wonder whether KEH is bringing addition supernatural stuff in the last 2 eps.. whether the 'moon bears' are actually some sort of supernatural beings :JuiceGhost:

  9. Wow @Chocolate ~ I must have not paid attention at that same section too because I didn't even realise that SSK's character has a wife!?!?!?!?!??! And wow @liddi did you say you actually watched the episode (at least) twice :PsyWhat: No wonder you could give such in depth analysis :hearties:

So now I'm heartbroken ... I actually wish YK ended up with SSK' character .... heheheheh

@ktcjdrama by the sound of it..you're smarter than the lottery girl HAHAHAHA.. at least you would pay attention to wind direction etc etc. I don't know what I would do myself if I lost such big money ... :pandahehe:

  10. Thank you @liddi :taebtsthanks: Yes.. I meant LSW's list. I was only familiar with Grandma and then the last one Yang Sun (just by reading the names) and then I realised the first name was Hyun Ju's soldier friend from your post :pandahehe: And now thanks to you at least I knew who the rest of the people are hehehe.

I'm afraid that 'usual' kdramas would make this lottery girl encounter something bad since she's been shown again and again. @ktcjdrama yes to me she's a bit strange.. not just her action..but even her face (and ok I'm no commenting the actress' actual face), it gives off like 'off' feeling. But would you keep searching for that lottery ticket though if somehow you did drop it and it was blown by the wind?

I think it is safe to say that Chief Jo is not the mastermind. It's too in your face. Instead, I think he is aware that there is a killer and may also be in the hunt. That's why he is trying to send Yi Kang away - to protect her. It is more likely that he has been going around untying the yellow ribbons so that hikers are not misled. The ribbons he is holding and those in his drawer are old/used ribbon.

This situation with Cat Jo is indeed 'confusing'. I strongly hope that he's not the mastermind nor he's the bad guy, because if it turns out that he actually is... I don't know.. I think I'll be quite disappointed that the mastermind has been revealed since early on :idk:

I have the same thought as @Chocolate that it looks like Capt Jo was removing the yellow ribbons, and perhaps he already knew that there's this person who kept tying yellow ribbons to mislead ppl.

Ugh..isn't that annoying to see that the wife (whose husband died of the bomb in the restricted area) actually demanded that the park rangers continue to protect them from the unfortunate events when they all decide to still go catch snakes illegally in the restricted areas??!?!?!?!?

Now I'm struggling with the many names presented in the last 2 eps :jinbtscry: I read the list of the intended victims and I already forget who they are (mostly)!! So now I'm just gonna rely on people's posts and recaps ahahahaha. It's interesting that it seems the mastermind isn't chasing to complete the 'job' - s/he's ok to cross Yang-Sun's name off the list and instead add Hyun Joo's name on it.

The whole episode I waited for some development for both the leads.... rather we got the first love of Yi Gang.... No light on last epsiode's development either.... A bit disappointed...

I'm kinda with @movingwheel here. I actually ended up playing with my iPad more than when I was watching the other episodes. At the end of the episode, it did give me a warm feeling because I'm really happy that JGY and Yang Sun became a couple (they're really cute together :wow:), but the episode as of this moment feels a bit unnecessary to the plot development. UNLESS, later on they tie whatever information provided on this ep 6 to clues in the future eps. The other good thing about this ep 6 is I got to watch SON SUK KU!!! I liked him very much in the designated survivor but haven't really liked other dramas that he's in (and he's never really the main lead TT_TT). Here I got to see him again in a drama I like. Hope this ep isn't the last time we see him in Jirisan.

For a moment, I thought the lottery girl became Lee Da Won the newbie ranger. It's just because when they shot the lottery girl with Hyun Joo in 2018, they shifted the shot to the flag...and then it turned to be 2020 with the same flag and then the shot shifted to Lee Da Won. Well.. unless the lottery girl changed name and face.. I don't think she's Lee Da Won after all.

Do you guys think the way Jirisan is executed is a little similar to Signal? Like Signal, it goes back and forth between two timelines to tell the stories. Signal is communicating through walkie-talkie whereas Jirisan is through twigs/stones. Different medium but it's a form of communication.

:jhopebtsidea: I actually did read someone post about this somewhere else. I don't know how I feel about it. So far the drama is really interesting.. but to think that it might actually 'recycle' same idea as the writer's previous drama... errr... :JuiceGhost:

It is strange how he is unable to touch LDW (his palm discoloured where it attempted to touch her and his physical body goes into shock), yet is able to move stones and twigs to set up the markers. Is he only able to manipulate what is native to Mt. Jiri (the weather, nature) but not interact with the human beings that come to the mountain?

But wasn't he seen by the ahjussi who also drank Yakult and later saved by SYG through the twigs clue? So I wonder whether which one is the normal one - people can see him or people can't see him? As you mentioned..there might be certain criteria. Interestingly though (if I'm not mistaken)... LDW is the only one who can't see him when she's in a very close proximity with HJ's ghost. And plus he got that shock and discoloured palm because of her... I wonder whether she's "special" ?

It is now pretty much confirmed that there are at least 2 people involved in the murders on Mt Jiri.

Agree ... I thought at first they might be more than one killer just because the method of killing and/or leading ppl to their death differs. There's that used of yellow ribbon to lead the victims (what's that about them being removed instead of being placed there??).. but for now it seems Grandma Geum Rye and private Ahn and even the lost boy in the first ep... weren't exactly shown to have follow yellow ribbons. They probably could have but the drama just didn't show it? There's also the use of poisonous Yakult, and potato bombs, and other methods. @liddi are you saying that maybe the one who puts (or removes) the yellow ribbons is the ranger and then Yang Sun's relative killed victims?

Maybe the criminals are not serial killer in nature? I mean those serial killers who follow the same methods and they just get progressively worse type of killers?

I also wonder whether the show only shows victims who are all killed by the same baddies or does it also include victims who died because of other reasons. Eg: the lost boy and the girl (oh man can't remember the name) in ep 1 (or 2?) might not be the casualty from the same criminals.

I got really confused now :pandahehe: I must say I'm proud of myself to be still be able to generally understand what people are posting so far considering there are so many characters in this drama. But don't think I can keep this up sigh....

  18. So apparently this drama will be available on Disney+ :JuiceGhost: (Disney must have wanted to compete with Netflix or something).

Anyway, since I'm not familiar with the webtoon myself, so I must say that I was taken by surprise to find out that this drama is actually about superheroes :shocked2: I just can't imagine watching any superheroes stuff in a KOREAN drama. I have my reservation about this... I mean I'm used to seeing the Marvel level of doing superheroes stuff (and they do have great CGI and action scenes most of the times). I'm not sure whether at the moment Korea will be able to achieve such level (I remember watching Along with the Gods, although not exactly superheroes theme.. but the characters did posses supernatural abilities..and the CGI just wasn't great. And for a person like myself to be able to detect that it's unnatural, it means..it's pretty .. bad ahahahaha. I don't mind Along with the Gods though overall, the stories are pretty interesting :) ).

Or will it be something like Heroes, another US TV series broadcasted in 2006-2010? Maybe it will be more likely to fit into a drama-world rather than the MCU stuff.

Regardless, I hope this drama will be awesome. I mean look at the casts line-up. We've had some big names included here ... and not to mention this will be Jo In Sung's first drama appearance as main character since 2014!!

Interestingly, Ryoo Seung Ryong is listed first followed by Han Hyo Joo and then Jo In Sung in AsianWiki. So I'm not sure who the main male lead here?

Jo In Sung, Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Cha Tae Hyun, And More Attend Script Reading For New Superhero Drama

    Oct 29, 2021
    by E. Cha

Disney+ has shared a glimpse of the script reading for its upcoming original series “Moving”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full, “Moving” is a new superhero action drama about teenagers with hidden superhuman powers and their parents who, unbeknownst to them, harbor a painful secret from their past. They eventually team up to battle powerful dark forces that threaten multiple generations across different eras.

Jo In Sung will be starring as Kim Doo Shik, a veteran agent with the ability to fly, while Han Hyo Joo will star as Lee Mi Hyun, a hero with superhuman senses. Ryu Seung Ryong will play Jang Joo Won, who is unable to feel pain and has regenerative powers that allow him to recover quickly from an injury.

Cha Tae Hyun will play Jeon Kye Do, who can create electricity at will, while Kim Sung Kyun will play Lee Jae Man, who possesses superhuman speed and strength. Ryu Seung Bum will play Frank, a mysterious figure chasing down the protagonists, and Kim Hee Won will play Choi Il Hwan, a teacher who is hiding a special superpower that no one knows about. FInally, Moon Sung Geun will play Min Yong Joon, a character shrouded in mystery behind powerful forces.

At the script reading, which was held in August, Ryu Seung Ryong remarked, “I’m excited, delighted, and honored to be part of such a great project. I’m especially looking forward to working together with such amazing cast and crew members. Please give us a lot of interest, anticipation, and support.”

    Ryu-Seung-Ryong.jpg

Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo commented, “Through ‘Moving,’ I was able to meet many great people, and it’s an honor to be a part of this cool universe created by writer Kang Full. I think we’ll be able to create a drama of a genre that hasn’t been seen before in Korea. I’ll work my hardest, so I hope people will show a lot of interest [in the drama].”

    Han-Hyo-Joo1.jpg

Finally, Jo In Sung chimed in, “I really enjoyed reading the original webtoon, and I thought its unique universe was really beautiful. I feel like it’s a story to which the entire world will be able to relate. At any rate, I’ll work hard to prepare, so I hope people will really enjoy watching it.”

“Moving” is currently slated to premiere in the second half of 2022.

  20. Kinda (very) late to the party but I managed to watch this just now.

@JenL did you find your answer to your question about why the people who got bitten by the tiger didn't turn into zombies?

Sorry but gotta tag @liddi @mademoiselle I have a question:

So you know how zombies brought about by the plant wouldn't turn people they bit into zombies? We know this from season 1..so only the people who turned zombies by eating infected person could bite others and turned them into zombies.

So in Ashin, how did those soldiers turn into zombies after being bitten by her abuser who turned into zombie? Didn't Ashin turn her abuser into zombie by feeding him the plant after he's dead?

And as usual, I did get distracted a lot when watching this so I probably missed some important scenes which can answer my question. But anyhow, my friend wasn't able to answer my question either and I can't be bothered rewatching any scene so the quickest way is to ask question here

  21. Fear not of speaking to yourself in a thread @LaLa ..HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. As always, I'll be honest right away~~ I don't feel drawn towards this drama after reading the synopsis but do let me know how it goes on the first few eps and who knows I might try it (but no promises here)
