Since we're on the subject of PPL, are scallion pancakes part of it too, since we have so many lingering shots of SYG making them for her clamouring customers?

GAHHAHAHAHAHA.... they should have somehow ordered tons and tons of scallion pancakes from somewhere, then the pancake company would have a long air time :MeowthM:

KHJ's visions do not appear to adhere to a specific rule.

Based on what's shown so far, I have to concur. And apparently he also didn't see ALL the accidents that occurred on the mountain because he didn't actually see any clues on Grandma Geum Rye nor private Ahn right? But the vision about what happened 1 year ago helped him find both victims in this episode.

I hope this show isn't becoming too ghosty .. honestly I already got scared watching the beginning part of this episode :shocked2:

  2. @mademoiselle I did know a little about this current drama of Oguri Shun... Have you been watching it? Is it good? It's just the plot isn't very clear what this drama is about... is it political? is it action? is it disaster drama? So just by the plot..it doesn't sound that interesting but I do miss watching him in a drama (and no..not the taiga type one..he has another upcoming one which is a historical one but that will be a long drama I think).

  3. Obviously @liddi and @mademoiselle are better in spotting PPL and CGI than me  Maybe all these people should pay me to take a sneak peak of their movies/dramas which are full of PPL and CGI and let me do the reviews because most likely I won't give negative comments on those (since I can't spot any!).

If hiking gears/clothes are part of their PPL..it's still ok since they're not purposely zooming in on those products and they're really not out of place. Unlike the egg drop sandwich ... and what-not (uggghh..I think the one annoys me the most usually is cosmetic products!! Like..some characters are supposedly not fashionista or minimal make-up wearing but look at their table..full of products I never even own!).

I don't think Oh Jung Se is a villain this time but Sung Dong Il seems to be fishy since Jeon Ji Hyun found the yellow ribbons in his drawer. Another candidate would be the police guy who equally has done his fair share of shady characters in other dramas.

Ah! Yes that cop character is def another candidate. But I do agree with @Chocolate Sung Dong Il most likely won't be the bad guy coz will the writer let us 'hate' the right person right from the start? If I must choose, let the cop be the baddie...can't have another bad Oh Jung Se, seriously.

Let's hope that the write has plenty of mysteries for us to watch BUT let's hope too that she won't continually reveal the answers through characters' updates etc

    OKKKKK

Now this drama is now about shamans and exorcism??

    I totally didn't expect that:shocked:

I like your analysis @liddi when you thought that the killer might want to protect Jirisan from illegal hikers and that's why they're targeted. If it's so, then it's going to be quite logical if the culprit/s is/are rangers/cops who are working around the mountain. But it will be interesting to see how they tie in things with shamans and exorcisms :pandahehe:

@liddi in response to KHJ's visions - aren't they just that...about seeing what happens in the future to certain 'victims'? In ep 2, the victim is himself..so he saw that vision? I hope they'll reveal to us (not necessary about how he got that ability) but why he saw what he saw ... what triggers the visions? Any criteria?

  4. Prior to watching the first 2 eps, I actually read some of the negative comments (mainly CGI and product placement stuff but didn't really read anything about bad acting). I don't know about my level of 'expertise' when it comes to detecting bad CGI, but I really couldn't detect any... I thought the sceneries looked beautiful and didn't look unnatural  However, I did look away from the screen several times here and there so maybe the bad CGI scenes occurred during those times? :idk:

In relation to product placement, also didn't realise any except the burgers?sandwich? the new girl bought SYK. I may not be familiar of Korean products and maybe that's why I don't catch many placements??? Shrugs.

    Not sure about bad acting...

Overall, I actually enjoyed the first two eps! I found it to be quite intriguing and interesting... and different. So yes I love them so far. I'm glad that I watched the two eps back to back because some of the questions I had in episode 1 were answered in ep 2.

What's the chance that none of the Haedong Branch Office is the bad guy? I just hope they don't make Sung Dong Il and Oh Jung Se characters to be villain :yoongibtspls:

I personally don't quite like it that they updated the character's intro and included the information that the man in the hood the newbie met at the end of ep 2 is Hyun Jo :NoHalCat: I mean...unless they did show that it was Hyun Jo but I missed it?? I thought that was supposed to be a mystery to be answered at least in ep 3. Now that they revealed it through update...it's like...why?????

So we got all supernatural themes in Signal, Kingdom and Jirisan.. in Signal at least we dealt with real people...in Kingdom zombies..and Jirisan...ghost??? :lmao2: As long as they're good I don't mind.

  5. I'm still wondering what kind of story will this drama serve us with. I have high expectation from this writer since I love what she did with Kingdom and Signal (I can't exactly remember but I think I quite liked 3 Days as well). Since it says it's a mystery drama...and it looks like it has something to do with murder/s...so I'm guessing something along solving crimes type of drama? But somehow it's not done but the police but by the rangers??? Are the rangers in South Korea somehow part of law&order personnel??

Well~ Not sure whether I'll be following this drama while it's airing... as usual, I'm a more binge-it type of person. But will probably check this thread to see whether this drama is worth watching after all

  6. @LaLa Yeah @SilverMoonTea I think even blatantly confessed to us IkSong members in season 1 that she's not IkSong Shipper and she was just there to help open the thread :lmao2: I doubt there's any season 3..but if there's.. I probably will still watch it in hope that they'll give us more IkSong but I don't think I want to experience a long wait again only to be given so little in the end :NoHalCat:

  7. Hello to myself again :pandahehe:

Just want to update all the unknown readers of this thread out there that Kim Seon Ho has been confirmed to leave our beloved program 1n2d. There are news articles circulating out there already so please read them yourself :) Here's one of the articles (source: Allkpop) https://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/10/kbs2-confirms-kim-seon-ho-will-be-leaving-the-cast-of-1-night-2-days

For me, I just feel sad for 1n2d team. This variety show already went through a major shake up in season 3 resulting in almost all the season 3 members leaving the show. Now season 4 has started to grow on us, the members have started to gel well...and this happens. I don't know what's gonna happen to the casts who are still on the show... And hopefully if they will be able to find another member who works well with the existing casts. :rmbtshi: (and yes I personally prefer 6 members rather than 5 members).

LOL..if they must cast another actor... I still root for Park Seo Joon to be chosen HAHAHAHHA. I still remember the episodes in season 3 where hyung sik, min ho and himself were invited to the show...oh man..he was gold! He's really funny and really unlucky :lmao2:

  8. @SilverMoonTea can't believe @LaLa was able to persuade you to pick up HP season 2 :lmao2: (and managed to finish it too!!). I myself don't quite like season 2, it just doesn't have the same pull season 1 had and I think largely it's because I mainly watched just for IkSong . Anyway, come and drop by our IkSong thread if you'd like kekekeke.. but mind you that we have stopped posting anything there since the last episode :pandahehe:

  9. @im0202 Let me know whether AIB is better than Squid Game. I was planning to watch AIB before SG got released but got no time to watch. Then I decided to watch SG first but wasn't that impressed with the drama although it has rave reviews  Not sure what about the drama that's not working for me :idk:

I could guess from the beginning that most of the players would get killed off... but I still think the way Ali went out was so sad  Park Hae Soo's character was just.... annoying!!!

  10. Roll-call.. I'm here..I'm ok @mademoiselle @abs-oluteM :duckhearts:

When I felt it I was wondering what it was but I quickly realised that it's an earthquake..got panicky a bit as I quickly went to to unlock the front door. By the time we got outside it already stopped. I think the tremor wasn't that big here where I live since we're pretty far from the epicentre ... but I still got scared anyhow and went outside. It turned out...no one else was outside the house except us HAHAHAHAHAHAH.

@Chocolate yes pretty sure you can hide under the table if you must ... but I thought I better went outside, if house collapsed, then you would still be trapped under the rubble :KittyMummy:

  11. Yellow~~ I'm back after watching the finale!

Beware @LaLa that there will be a lot of negativities in my post so stay out if you don't want your mood to be ruined :lmao2: Let's just start with the positive things and I'll 'hide' the negative posts so ppl can choose to read or not.

What I like about the episode:

    • We got to see the awkwardness due to the status change from 'friend' to 'couple'. LOL I can so imagine how simple things like feeding each other can turn into an 'icky' situation for our long-time friend :lmao2:
    • We got to see more interactions between SHwa and IkSun
    • We did get a camping scene again and I did write that I wanted to see another camping scene..although not quite up to what I hoped for (oops)
    • I love the band song this week. I knew this song and have liked it since I watched the movie "Take Off". So now I think I officially like 3 of the band songs in Season 2.
    • I think there's a strong indication that JongSu-Rosa might (in the future) end up being a couple. IkSong were definitely so surprised to know that JongSu-Rosa went to have a trip with just the two of them. JWon replied by saying that they're just friends like IkSong (but we know that IkSong isn't just friends anymore, so maybe JongSu-Rosa will not be too?)
    • And that's it. Sigh.

Now move on to my rant:

    Spoiler

    My personal opinion only:

I think ep 12 in general is very anti-climatic.

I think HP season 2 in general is quite disappointing and repetitive.

Will I rewatch the whole season? Most likely not.

Will this make it into my all-time-fav list? HP 1 used to be on the list but now I'll take it off. So nope.

Why this is so for me? I think most likely because I watched this for IkSong and purely for IkSong. If I were into the other couplings and into the stories of the patients, interns and what not, I might enjoy the drama more. But sadly, they didn't capture my interest throughout the 2 seasons. While in season 1 everything was still new including patients' stories, in season 2, I was no longer interested in them and totally watched to see IkSong development. I just realised when I watched the patients/operations scenes in ep 12 (yes I did watch them more this episode since it's the last episode)... wow... weren't they so heavy on the medical jargons and what not. So very not interesting to me to watch them chucking out those terms in their conversations at all.. And again probably this has always been the case since season 1, but due the novelty of HP in season 1..I could probably tolerate that better back then.

So I'm going to rant using IkSong spectacles only.

IkSong to me felt very poorly developed. Both as individuals as well as couple. This slice-of-life drama when it comes to IkSong.. doesn't really show any hurdles, great difficulties etc that prompted them to have substantial character development. I think it comes down to the fact that SHinLee made the two of them so perfect. And the only 'lacking' between them was their loveline (with SHwa having to overcome the hurdle from moving from being friend to couple). However, apart from that, there's nothing really and therefore with their love story being dragged for soooo long, what they could show us about IkSong weeks in and out now became mostly about how IJ was so goofy and funny (on top of being good doctor) and Shwa was just there ... like that.. waiting for the time for her realisation.

They could have 'other' stories around them really, not just about being funny and excellent doctor.

Now zooming in to ep 12 only.

Overall, I personally felt we didn't get much out of it either.

Sure the awkwardness is cute and all.. but that's it? Camping scene isn't of anything 'wow' either...it feels to me that only serves to show us they slept in the same tent -.- Their conversation during the camping... errr... nothing there? But of course, it's better to have that scene rather than not..because we would be having even less scene of IkSong.

In the end, IkSong didn't have any proper date at all. Their date in Chinese restaurant wasn't at all romantic and a few seconds after being shown that IkSun and later JunWan joined them -.-

The Karaoke scene was cute because we got to see how IkSong adored each other so much... but I don't know..that scene fell flat for me too.

Their tired-scenes in SHwa's office were also so -so for me.

And what I couldn't believe is that we saw no Uju!! And what more no interaction between Shwa and Uju at all!! C'mon... Uju was such a huge part of IJ's life...more than IkSun I believed..and yet we're shown none of that with of course the excuse of Uju being at his grandparents' house..and later joining MoNe for camping instead...:pandarage2:

I'm lost for words and I'm actually getting myself so upset by typing this rant. So I better stop :lmao2:

But I still welcome @LaLa to tag me with any IkSong related stuff - eg: anytime you want someone to talk about IkSong, or when you produce your fanfic about IkSong hahahahahah (you probably could give me more satisfaction with your fanfic than what SHinLee has served us with in ep12 hahahahahhahaha). But I won't lie...I think I'll be able to move on from HP very soon (again unless the 2 specials are that great but I reckon specials are normally just a bunch of interviews and BTS etc and not really adding any new scenes to the existing story).

I want to thank everyone who posted on this thread and showed their support and love for IkSong~ Hopefully we get to be on the same 'shipping' boat in the future for whatever dramas heheheheh :wow:

  12. Good morning @LaLa !! Already PMed you this morning but anyway gotta let you know here too that I'm gonna try to watch this last ep before the day ends.

So sad that we don't get to see Shwa-uju interaction at all (I want to insert angry face by dare not...not sure why..). Gahhh..if only...if only ShinLee wasn't too stingy with IkSong and not to drag their love story for too long.. we could have seen a much much more development in IkSong lives when they're a couple. I mean I thought they want to show day-to-day life of these 5???? And surely their lives don't just revolve around patients :smug: but I think their slice of life in HP is just a little bit here and a little bit there..not really patient-focused..but not really the main characters-focused either.

Anyway..let's save my rant for later because who knows I'll end up liking this last ep as much as last ep.

    Ciao~~

  13. @LaLa I did read the office theory on twitter. it sounds really good until a few people pointed out that S2 ep 11 wasn't the first time IJ actually sat on SHwa's chair. So now I don't know what to think of that theory ahahahahhahaha

I know that I should have high hope...but can't help it. After all it's the last episode.... I'll just hope anyway and I might get crushed later but anyway...it's last episode :lmao2: I just hope that ShinLee won't be giving us too many patients scenes or other scenes for that matter that don't scream IkSong AHAHAHHAHAHHAH

What I want to see in the finale (thinking that there won't be any season 3...just give us a nice wrap up please):

    • How SHwa going to fit into IJ's little family - with Uju, with IkSun. In relation with his parents..don't mind if I don't see that. After all, we're never introduced to IJ's parents at all (not even a voice like Shwa's mum). Although it would be nice to see how IJ fits into SHwa's family... again because we're never really introduced to any of them, I don't mind not seeing that either. But if they do, it will be a good bonus!
    • How IkSong evolve from being in the friend zone to being in a relationship. More heart-fluffing scenes please...but please don't overdo it. Don't want to see IkJun acting cute or anything like that. Funny is ok...just not... you know what I mean. I can see past Shwa emerging a bit when she's around IkJun..the bubbly, naive Shwa :) But again, can't imagine SHwa being too lovey-dovey in a cute way with IkJun. please no.
    • IkSong's wedding!
    • IkSong living together as a family unit
    • IkSong going camping again. This time, please show us how they play and interact with Uju. Then that little boy can go to sleep so our IkSong can have their moments alone together
    • I still want to see the fab 5 going on hiking together. Just them without the other additional partners. I just want to see their interactions outside eating and band practice. It would be a delight to see.
    • I mentioned to @LaLa how I wish the 5 will still get together once in a while without their girlfriends (not Shwa though coz she's part of the 5). I understand that the dynamic will change now that they all have gfs. But still...

What else did we talk about that we want to see in final episode @LaLa I feel like we talked about a lot of things to the point that we thought we're asking for too much :lmao2:

Anyway, can't watch the episode tonight but will be monitoring tweets until I need to go to sleep.

    yayayayyayayayayayay

  14. WOWWWWW @LaLa you're amazing!!! Now you've become those people who can chuck out good theories!!!! :duckhearts: Those analysis require great brain power (which I don't have atm~~).

Ok I won't be 'quoting' your post (because it's hard to quote each section and delete the rest each time)..I'm just gonna refer to what you said and reply.

I agree with what you said about letting 99ers see how IkSong's interaction is special. Funny thing is that none of the 99ers (who are supposedly the ones who are 'closest' to both of them and must have seen them interacting the most) realise this.. but rather it only took IkSun one sighting and she knew it instantly :lmao2: Ah!! before I forget.. I remember last time you mentioned about Wng Imo. Yes..I also found it strange that SHwa knew her phone number! When did they ever meet? So this just shows how close IkSong is (as IJ must have told her about Imo as Imo is taking care of Uju).

    18 hours ago, LaLa said:

For the first round of games that are shown to us (guessing the spades card) Ik Jun didn't need a long turn catch on Song Hwa's lies and she didn't even pretend to hide that she is indeed lying. To me, when dealing with Ik Jun, Song Hwa is almost always being honest about herself and Ik Jun can always see that. Maybe even back in 1999 Ik Jun knew about the probability Song Hwa liking him. I mean if not, how could he become so brave to buy a ring as a gift for her as birthday present? They were just barely getting know each other after entering the university and he already wanted to confess?! And he's like almost sure that she would accept it. Wasn't it too fast?

Oooooo I agree with this too (in fact I agree with everything you said ahahahaha). SHwa has shown herself to be an honest and straightforward character so people need not guess what she feels/means. Example is when she straight away rejected SHyeong and Chi Hong. She always presents herself as how she truly is. So I think you're right when you said that IJ kinda knew that she had feelings for him back in 99 because she must have presented herself that way (and now we saw some Shwa's POV back in 99 .. we knew that this is so). So in saying this, I also believe that when she said 'no' to IJ earlier in season 2.. she also truly meant a 'no' .. not a 'maybe'. This is due to as you mentioned later...that she probably thought that IJ serious confession was a 'lie'.

    Spoiler

Btw I'm just saying this because there's a theory out there that thinks ShinLee is portraying woman's 'no' as 'maybe' or something like that..anyway..if you want to know more..just ask me in DM (wink)

Another thing is that I like how you pointed out how IJ uses his goofiness to 'hide' his feeling. And perhaps that's what he's been doing too since Shwa's rejection. We've been shown how they goofed around for so many eps (which made me so mad because we didn't get any progression). He's probably hiding/restraining his true feelings too.. (hmm anyway I don't think I make sense...mianhe.. almost bed time now hahahaha)

    Ok last quote

    18 hours ago, LaLa said:

    - Serious Ik Jun choosing to put down the Nine hearts card. After examining his thoughts, Ik Jun realized that he does still have a feeling for her. He might have buried it or hidden it well, but when the time has come for him to let it show, he did it after a careful consideration. (Sokcho semi-confession)

    - Song Hwa calling out 'lie' for Ik Jun action. She didn't believe at first about the possibility of him showing his real feelings. All these times she tried to fish out some reaction from him, it didn't succeed and she knew most of the hearts card were in her possessions. There's bigger possibility for him to lie than tell the truth. (Before the semi confess in NS dinner (and maybe during the breakfast time), Song Hwa never knew the possibility of him liking her back and seeing her more than just a friend. She knew her feelings for him but didn't know about his thoughts and feelings all this time)

    - Chance to back off. Ik Jun way for her to think about her decision and see whether he's sincere or not. (Giving her the time and space to think about his semi confessions)
    - Considering to back off. Song Hwa's time to reflect about her feelings and Ik Jun's sincerity. But because she's not sure and feeling afraid (you can see that the cards were quite plenty, which can signify the amount of time they spent together as friends), she prefer to take the risk and said no to that chance.

Bravo bravo to all these points! :wow: I think this makes SHwa's rejection makes sense .. in a way that she thought his confession wasn't the reflection of his true feelings because in the past he rejected her even though she obviously showed that she's interested.

Alright, I still haven't writing the IJ part ... and won't do it now because first it's too late for my brain to write in a cohesive manner...and second this post is going to be wayyy too long to read.

Can you believe it we're now really at the end of season 2? I can't wait to see what ep 12 brings.. I hope ShinLee won't disappoint (me) but who knows... since I'm only interested in IkSong (and perhaps Bidulgi).. I think I'm in for a disappointment somewhat :KittyMummy:

Our time difference too, I guess match quite well to give us time to add something or any other thing in each other posts?

I noticed this small smile even when during the live stream.. Maybe because I was using my super ultra focus for their scenes and less focus in other scenes? LOL But for the tightening grab, and heavy breath, I only noticed it after replaying those particular scenes at least 3 times.

Oh you haven't read the card theories that both k-fan and i-fan have about that scene? I'll share it nearly in the future..

I have no doubt you did watch the episode live with super super focus... unlike me.. :p I normally found out about those things from you or from social media posts :lmao2:

I did read some theories on the cards.

    1. Someone analysed the card games IJ played. In the past he liked to play poker = hiding his feeling; then he liked to play solitaire (patience) = patiently waiting/something along that line; and last they played 'cheat' ... can't remember the explanation on this one.

    2. Another said that in that 'cheat' game IJ definitely knew when SHwa lied while SHwa didn't know. Indicating that IJ already knew SHwa's feeling and therefore just waiting for her to acknowledge it. On the other hand, SHwa was clueless about his feeling..whether or not it's still there.. and we can see it during her confession.

    3. I think they also said how the 'hearts' indicating IJ's heart to SHwa or something like that.

    Interesting theories!

Thank you for that song translation when SHwa was in the corridor @LaLa ! Indeed the song lyrics made that scene more 'meaningful'. Sigh... This is what happens to international viewers who don't understand Korean :P

    9 hours ago, LaLa said:

She lingered for seconds at the door, looking at the drawers where the spare scrubs and to Ik Jun's desk. Only after the second time for watching I remembered and pondered, maybe did Song Hwa remember that day? We rarely saw Song Hwa spend time in Ik Jun's office. The only day we saw her enter his office, when she delivered her answer of his semi confession in January. At this moment... Did she regret her choice of answer that day? I'm sure there must be some kind of meaning for the full shot of her expression in different angle, and the lone shot of the empty desk.

From these scenes alone, we could see many emotions and guessed Song Hwa's thoughts. But really, it would be better or more perfectly done to me, if we could hear just a little of her inner monologue. If only they could let the viewers know about what Song Hwa was thinking inside her mind.. Not only guessing....

But Mi Do's way in delivering everything without words is astounding. Really. If not for her acting, I don't think I could many assumptions and filling the hole and puzzle of her thoughts and pov.

What an interesting theory @LaLa :duckhearts: I actually had been wondering about this: why the need to show Shwa's lingering in IJ's room??? There must be a meaning behind it.. but couldn't think any. Your interpretation might be correct because so far I remember, yes that rejection scene was the only time she spent a long time in IJ's room (were there even any other scenes where SHwa went to IJ's room???) Hopefully in ep 12, we get to hear SHwa's reasons/thoughts for many past scenes!! They both can have a heart-to-hear talk or something :smug:

SHwa's progress to open up to IJ more could definitely be seen in the last few eps. Probably starting when she invited IJ and Uju to go camping with her (although personally I think at this point of time she still hasn't realised fully that she has romantic feeling for IJ). Her mum Parkinson probably made her realise how she needs IJ? And then next ep BAM she 'accidentally' held IJ's hand....and then she gifted IJ the 'same' present when she liked him in the past kekekekeekek

I still want to write things about IJ. But still..later..who knows you'll end up writing up first so I don't need to write any :JuiceGhost:

Did you catch the small smile that Ik Jun wore when Kwang Hyeon told him 'Song Hwa is here'?

I swooned hard when I see her small hands immediately grasp his fingers and held it tight.

I did not until you pointed it out and I rewatched that scene! Yes now I can he smiled a very very tiny bit..no wonder I missed it..we could almost barely see it unless we paid extra extra attention. That hospital scene was pretty cool for me too..the one that was so-so for me was the playing card scene. It's funny and refreshing but that's about it for me.

Seriously JMD should be given an award...or rather..people should start giving her a lot of drama projects :wow: I so want to watch her in other dramas (I know there's one coming up with Son Ye Jin..but not sure whether I like the plot).

Wow @LaLa if giving hat truly means embrace me...that's so telling of SHwa's intention :eeeee: I wonder at which point in the drama did she decide to accept IJ's heart. I kinda won't believe it if she only decided then and there in the car when she confessed.

I told @LaLa about this ... but perhaps there will be a time jump (forward)? And also, I wonder if IJ's ex-wife is going to make an appearance in the last episode (oooohhhhh I so hope she does!!). I want to see a showdown between her and SHwa hahahahahaha  And I want to see SHwa gets jealous for once!!! Oh well she kinda 'did' when she heard IJ had a blind date back then in 1999... but I want to see her get jealous now too :smug:

@LaLa (I tagged you 3x in one post!!) interesting compilation of JMD's theatre acts. And can't wait to see her in other roles in dramaland..coz I can feel that she's such a different person than SHwa when I watched that compilation.

I want to write some more about IJ .. but I'll do that next time. Gotta do something else now~

  17. @mademoiselle will pop by here more often when the busyness dies down ... LGA.... I also had not heard that abbreviation until I started reading Covid stats from NSW.. they use 'LGA' over there.. I wonder what we normally use here in Melbourne ... council? city council?  Yes.. I'm double jabbed since a few months ago.. hubby has secured the spot for 1st jab but hasn't gotten it yet. If not mistaken, you already had your first one right? And Tranz too so hopefully you all will be double jabbed before Victoria starts opening up~~ Nowadays, there are quite some exposure sites that don't get listed in the DHHS website! The one I was at never made it to the list :JuiceGhost: I think they just can't keep up with listing them anymore??

@TRaNz can't believe you never have to get tested yet  you're one of the lucky ones I suppose.. think I got tested almost half a dozen time ... and I know a few people who got tested for at least 10 times already!!! I'm like you..don't mind the throat..the nostrils though..depending on the person who does it...I had one or two where they got pretty deep and and they counted slowly 1...2...3... and once I had this person... not sure what he's swabbing exactly... coz I couldn't feel it going in at all :lmao2: Mmm.. you're not in M--L P--k? Think they listed a maccas as an exposure site over there just then hahahahhahhah

  18. Finished rewatching and I DID miss some scenes!! So glad I rewatched the ep~

It's the scene where SHwa told IJ about her upcoming difficult surgery and then later on she called IJ to brag about her successful operation...only to find out IJ has been waiting for her in her office :duckhearts: Well.. what can I say.. I like the fact that now she told IJ about what bothered her ...

I also like the fact that we get to see SHwa worrying/caring more about IJ. Of course in the ED, but how she also worried about IJ running in the rain etc. In the previous eps, we mainly saw IJ worrying about SHwa and not really the other way around. So that's a really good thing!

I rewatched the confession scene just then like 4 times  The more I watched, the more I truly appreciate that long silence. I feel like it's really befitting to IkSong... can tell SHwa's 'struggle' as she's deciding to cross that 22-year-friendship bridge (22 years... 22 episodes :P ). I think that long silence was really needed ... so we as watchers could also feel that the decision wasn't made lightly and it's actually really hard to take that leap.

I must here praise the two's acting as well. Superb acting! JMD delivered that tense moments perfectly. We could see her struggle, her fear, hesitation...even when the shots were blurred by the rain and the car's front window etc. Her awkward head and eyes movements..the moments she closed her eyes and bit her lips...oh man..those were just...perfect! When IJ looked at her after she finished confessing...she also turned her head to look at him..and when IJ said that he'll give her the answer...oh my goodness...her eyes! Could just sense how she was really vulnerable then and there...and that she really took a lot of courage to confess... realising that she might jeopardise the friendship if IJ turned out to no longer have any romantic feelings for her. Again...perfect acting!

And JJS always always delivers when he's given 'serious' scenarios..he never fails. And here too .. I feel that he didn't know that this confession was coming..but he could probably sense that SHwa had something that she wanted to say. So we could see that although he tried to breach the silence (I think that was just simply because it's awkward to be in that silence for a long time without knowing why it was so)..there wasn't any indication from his expressions or movements that were uncomfortable like those of SHwa's.... . However, once SHwa told him that she should have told him that she likes him... his expressions changed. Sense the awkwardness/nervousness but nonetheless he was at 'ease' if you know what I mean... I like it too how he didn't answer straight away..but gave it a pause before answering (coz that's just so good for us the viewers..tension tension).

And the kissing scene was so romantic I feel~~ I mean I'm just so happy for these two xx

Anywayyy..... here's something unrelated to IkSong

    Spoiler

Love love love the Lee siblings interaction. I just like IkSun character so much when she's around IJ and her nephew Uju.

And..so happy that I get to hear the song that they sang on the best episode in season 2. I've liked that song ever since I watched Ji Jin Hee's "I have a lover". Have always wondered about the title and the singer but never got to find out about it. So I was so pleasantly surprised when I started hearing that tune sang by Mido Falasol :taebtsthanks:

  19. I went to watch the episode quickly yesterday (I seriously fast forwarded everything and only watched IkSong scenes... gotta rewatch the episode again tonight but most likely ffwd button will still be used).

Correct me if I'm wrong..but these are the only IkSong scenes in the episode:

    1. The scene where SHwa went to drop IJ present and then later flashback to the time where she got turned down by IJ

    2. The emergency scene

    3. The scene where they played cards against each other

    4. The confession scene

    I hope I didn't miss anything.

And I must say, I think this is the first time where we got so many 'good' scenes on IkSong..not just simply those-chatting-and-drinking-coffee scenes. So I'm really happy with ep 11 gahahahhahaha. Let me break down what I thought about each scene

    1st scene: Flashback

Ok so now we know..clear as day..that SHwa liked IJ back in the day and that after her crying scene in previous ep when IJ cancelled their dinner appointment, she didn't just give up and took the initiative to 'ask him out'. She gave him a hat as birthday present...and in the present time, she also gave him a hat (which I just realised was the hat he was wearing in the band scene and in the car ). Now I wonder if there's any theory out there about giving hat as present... or even the colours of the hat hahahahahah.

And apparently... not sure what this means (but it's been said a lot in Twitter)...'Gobaek Hajima'?? IJ apparently said it when he turned down SHwa dinner's invitation? Although it's cool like how SHwa then used it to reject IJ in episode 1... I hope she didn't reject IJ out of 'spite'.

Which brings me to the next question: Why did Shwa reject IJ in the first place (in ep 1 season 2)???? Had her old feeling not resurfaced yet?

    2nd scene: ED room

So should we say, perhaps dr Bong was the first person among the 99ers who might suspect the special relationship between IkSong?? LOL, when SHwa holding IJ's hands, dr Bong's expression was that of a surprised and a realisation of something. IJ is IJ...still a clown even though he was in that situation.

I don't know why, but the part which touched me in that scene wasn't when Shwa holding IJ's hands or her concerned face... but it was when IJ said 'I'm tired Shwa-ya, can I go to sleep now?"

Just happy that IJ didn't have any brain damage or anything!

    3rd scene: Card game/hospital room

This was an ok scene for me. Nothing butterfly-in-the-stomach-y feeling. It's a refreshing scene though..and of course..how funny that one of the twitter poster said that it only took that short time for IS to realise there's something going on between IkSong while it took 22 years for JunWan to realise that :duckhearts: Also, although only a glimpse, we got Shwa in the same room at the same time with the other Lee family - Uju and IkSun (and Wang Imo). Looks like Shwa is going to fit right in into the family. Please please ... as @LaLa is also desperately hoping, we must get scenes which show how IkSong fits into each other's family!

    4th scene: Confession

At least..it doesn't disappoint!! I was so afraid that the confession scene would disappoint me but no..I actually quite like it. Unfortunately though for one of my friends, she said that because ShinLee dragged IkSong for far too long, the confession felt anti-climatic for her...which I actually could understand why she said so. I wonder if only this happened faster, the scene's impact for me personally...might be greater.

I love the use of the silent period before SHwa confessed. It's good that ShinLee let that silent took its time and not to hurry it. It created the tension...although I must say the awkwardness isn't up to the scale in episode 1. I also wonder whether IJ knew what was coming (not exactly like SHwa was going to confess, but that SHwa was going to say something serious and important). Because he actually wasn't as chatty as he normally would be. LOL..he did try to breach the silence by asking whether they should turn the radio on or the heat up  I think it was a beautiful confession...although I wouldn't mind if she spoke longer...maybe explaining why she rejected in the first place....or how she felt when IJ confessed to her after 20 years...

@LaLa said she'll throw in some theories she read from somewhere else here..I'm looking forward to any theories at this point of time. My IkSong heart is just going to lap it up HAHAHAH. Lala also said next ep might be 150 minutes long?~?~? No offence to anyone who isn't IkSong-ers and reading this... but I said to her... I wouldn't mind 150 minutes..if we get 30 minutes on other things including patient stories and 120 minutes focusing on IkSong :lmao2: There's still so many things to explore after this! But still.. I don't think I want a season 3. Maybe a special on IkSong will be just enough.

I should stop rambling now before I bore everyone.

  20. Awwww @TRaNz and @mademoiselle thanks for noticing my absent :lmao2: Yes...lockdown life for me is super busy.. I think I would probably be 'less' busy if there were no lockdown :JuiceGhost: LOL... Between looking after kiddos at home...and trying to complete a few assignments + preparing for exam and also going on placement... (and ehemm...watching series here and there)...I really have no more time left TT_TT . I dare not starting any new Korean dramas since a few weeks ago because I know once I start I can't stop. So just been watching the ones I've been watching and started on some US series (coz this one is easier to start and stop). How are you two going anyway??? Think @TRaNz .. your LGA is having a lot of cases? Don't know exactly where @mademoiselle is but I'm guessing her area is super fine~ Have you guys been to any exposure site and have to go get tested or self-isolate? I was in a tier 2 exposure site (thank God it's only tier 2)... went to get tested..got the result back in 12 hours (super fast)...negative btw!

How are you going in lockdown? How about you @SnowBlob?

Awww...you're so sweet you still remember asking how I am :wow: I'm good @JenL What about yourself? I can feel that more and more people are just flouting lockdown rules now... just a bit sad that we can't beat this delta thing the second time around (I was actually pretty confident that we would beat it again since our premier did lock our state down pretty early and hard too). Oh well.. now just waiting for the vaccination rate to go up...and hoping the number is still pretty 'low' until then or else poor health workers out if the cases are over their capacity. ..
