This one is good too, the FL looks like Crystal Yuan Bing Yan.

Is the series 夜情對象? Any link that is horizontal instead of mobile friendly?

It's quite funny. First he grabbed her and carried her to the bed, then he moved his hand and she crossed her arms over her chest like some scared V 😂. But he's like some schizo. Threw her out of the car and then demanded she get back in. I like a forceful man but he seems a real MCP/B*** too lol.

If the things that's meant to happen is inevitable, does that mean they will still happen around the same time as when they happened in their first life?

Good question. I think it is not very clear yet. In addition, what events are considered "inevitable"? Obviously, as Ji Won changes her actions, some things will not be the same.

It was quite shiok to watch Ji Won tell Su Min she didn't like her anymore! Then she went off to cry about it to Ji Hyuk, and again when she caught the 2 making out 🙄 I get that she is a GOOD person and would feel sad about confirming that her long relationships meant nothing. But I think if my husband and BF had an affair and killed me, I would not have any feelings for them anymore, except despise. So this feels very artificial.

After watching episode 8, I don't know who is more stupid -- Su Min or Min Hwan. I thought Su Min was stupid to let Min Hwan got under her skirt, and him having the gall to tell her to hush hush about it. But obviously, she's more manipulative so she knows how to keep him interested. Either way, feel like both are stupid.

😂 That brings to mind the question, do you play hard to get so the man continues to be interested, afterall once sampled the man loses interest. Or put it out so that he loves it so much he cannot do without?

Min Hwan is a real b******. He never had any real intentions with Su Min. For some reason, he only wants to marry Ji Won. Is it only for money? If so, then Su Min owning those stocks may be useful lol.

I honestly would like to know how Ji Won got the No.1 flag back.

Didn't Ji Won fight her for it? After Su Min snatched the flag, she was stunned for awhile, then fought back. They didn't show who actually won.

I also would like to know how the ending scene come about. I'm sure we will know more, but boy, this means Ji Hyuk went all out to help Min Hwan propose to Ji Won. But how did he approach Min Hwan regarding this? And who pays for the ring? Is it even real? I thought it was extremely pathetic how he proposed to her in previous life. OMG, what a nightmare. Candle of an ugly peanut butter toast? Really?

Ji Hyuk is good to the extreme 🙄 He wanted Ji Won to have a nicer memory of the 2nd proposal, though why that matters eludes me. Who cares about how nice the proposal is if you don't like the man right? But maybe to Ji Won, she remembers that event as from Ji Hyuk instead.

The ring is fake. I think the subtitles mention "cubic".

The pacing of this drama is quite good. Things are revealed faster than anticipated. Hope it continues well for the last 8 episodes.

@Chocolate I never thought you would watch this drama. Haha! What did you think?

Haha, someone recommended it earlier so I tried.

I really liked the fighting scenes. Very stylish and exciting.

But 40 episodes is probably too much. The first half was very slow.

I liked all the pairings and the 6Realm group. Then they all died  This writer is not nice!

Except, Su Min isn't stupid. LOL.

    ===

I have been meaning to question this. After the makeover, I'm quite surprised Manager Kim and Min Hwan still treat Ji Won the same way. Manager Kim likes pretty girls, so I would have expected his behaviour to change towards Ji Won, even if Ji Won doesn't suck up to him like Su Min. Same with Min Hwan. He doesn't have to be too different to before, but sometimes the change of appearance should change the way people treat another because majority of the populations are quite biased with "visual impressions".

But Mgr Kim and Min Hwan ARE stupid lol.

    55 minutes ago, mademoiselle said:

Another thing is, for an opportunist like Su Min, I thought she was aiming a bit low. How can she not see Ji Hyuk as a catch, especially after his makeover? It's also not blind to everyone that Ji Hyuk treats Ji Won differently, too. Yet, she wants Min Hwan because he's the best out of the men around Ji Won. Did she want to find a good man to rely on, or her aim is to snatch everything that belongs to Ji Won...?

Yes, I think snatching Min Hwan from Ji Won is a motivating factor. Despite her scheming nature, she has a contract job and is not well off, so 没有见过大世面 - to her, Min Hwan is already attractive. She seemed quite impress by him when he was pretending to know wine and buying her a meal at the expensive steak restaurant.

  6. Ep7 explained more about the time travel and why Ji Won decided to find a replacement. Quite well explained. The conclusion is if something is meant to happen, it is inevitable. But someone else can suffer that consequence instead. Thus, the reason for a replacement.

I don't like it when the character is all noble and self-sacrificing. Why didn't Ji Hyuk tell Ji Won that he had also died. She has good observations and could have found a way out for him too, like she did for herself. Granted, he is a GOOD person so he wouldn't want someone else to die in his stead. But her father sent him back to protect her and to make her happy - why would he do that if he was going to die and make her sad🙄

    37 minutes ago, mademoiselle said:

Damn, Ji Hyuk thinks he has no way out of his "death" situation, so he isn't going to pursue Ji Won. I don't blame him. His situation is sticky because how is he going to find someone that will die in his stead if what happened will be inevitable. The person I could think of that is bad enough to replace him at the moment is Park Min Hwan.

That's a good idea! Maybe instead of Su Min, the husband will die instead - he gets cancer then drives off and bam!

    37 minutes ago, mademoiselle said:

And ARGH, consider this is her second chance in life, how can Ji Won still be so reckless as to not lock her computer. Now Su Min bought the stock too!!!

Park Min Hwan wants a wife with money. Maybe that will be another + for Su Min in his eyes!

  7. @mademoiselle I bet you thought I dropped this but I actually finished it hahahah! Though not with much interest. After the first few episodes, the plot went nowhere, the secretarys' romance and the 3 office staff scenes were all super cringy. There was just a sweet couple to watch.

@mademoiselle Aiyoh... It just started to get really draggy for me... I'm not sure if I will bother finishing it up (since I am desiring sleep more than leisure since the start of the year!). Skimmed through the posts above. Expected the ending as described by everyone... Not sure I liked the way the lore was written up here. I found the character of god particularly annoying and didn't like how the writing couldn't keep to a clear theology they wanted to base it all on - greek mythology? Christian theology? East Asian beliefs in reincarnation?

I find that she is more the Devil than God. Which God sends you to hell after granting your wish? I treat her as some mythlogical God that is immortal rather than the religious God who is supposed to be good. The character is also contradictory - first she says not all things are within her control, also depends on fate etc etc. Then she brings Guwon back to life. If it was so easy, she could have done it right from the start instead of making them go through all the stuff in between 🙄

And the fact that he stays a Demon is also not ideal. When she reaches the end of her life, what is he to do? Wait for her next reincarnation? 😂

And looks like in the next episode, he thinks he's going to die 10 years later (from the car accident) that he might take a step back from his advances. His car accident might not happen if Ji Won did not die.

Yes, I don't see why he should assume he will die in 10 years, but think Ji Won will not - doesn't make sense. There are some things in the drama that doesn't gel but can overlook it.

Do you think maybe Eun Ho and Ji Hyuk's sister could be end up together?

  10. Borrowing @Tofu's gif - is that the extent of the makeover? Just a parting in the hair? 🙄😂

    MMH-10.gif

So far, these first few episodes have been surprisingly entertaining. Even the boyfriend and the best friend are watchable - usually we should be hating them. Instead, they are quite funny in a cheesy/cringy way haha. Maybe it's because the plot is moving along nicely. I am interested to see how she will fight back to make her life better. And they now know each other's secret - so fast!

For Na In Woo, this is the best role I have watched him in (but I've only watched Longing For You and Mr Queen with him). He comes across much better here then in LFY, the role suits him.

What do u think of them @Chocolate

Hmmm, not much online. 2nd time working together. They play a fake married couple. They say themselves that they are close friends.

Here's a clearer video. At 4.14, they are sitting quite closely and angled to each other. Also a few parts they were sharing some laughs between them. You don't see her with KWB like that.

Here at 28.00, you see the part where he notices she was crying. But unlike the tweet which seemed to show that he was looking at her from the side, he actually only turned to her when a staff brought tissues to her. He seemed more curious/amused that she was crying instead of lover-like concern, especially as he looked at KWB too.

So I think, they are close friends. For now. If they were together, they wouldn't be so obvious, unless both are the kind that doesn't mind the public knowing. But, they obviously like each other as friends, so there is potential!

Have I covered all my bases so I could be right whatever happens? 😂

Anyway, I wasted precious drama watching time watching that, but sometimes you just need something that involves no thinking

I sooooo understand this! Late last year, I was also in a drama slump and only wanted to watch reality. I even watched Physical 100! But I drew the line at Singles Inferno hahaha.

    Spoiler

Myeongja drank that cup of water. So she has the worm. But because she was not injected with additional serum, she did not become the monster like Seishin, or die like the others. She kept her form, but started attacking people to eat their brain.

Oh, I never thought of PSJ playing the son of Myeongja 😨 But I think likely not - the age is not right. Considering he looks like Tae Sang, maybe his grandchild? But Han So Hee's character is her old self from S1, so maybe she found a way to master the worm (maybe she and her mum's genes have some connection to the Najin), survive and not age! But if she and the new PSJ character have a romantic line, then he better be a new character because otherwise, feels quite incestuous haha.

    No idea about the scar.

The problem with GC is there is too much talking sometimes. When it is a critical time and their lives are at stake, they start talking about their feelings for each other and bickering! 🙄 I'm like, go go go!

Who knows, maybe when we get closer to the airing date, the way the episodes are split up might change.

The beggar and the white collar worker's story line was a bit lacklustre, and too short-lived. I am also a bit confused about this part. Did Yi Jae commit suicide again with this body? At a later stage of his supposedly-punishment-slash-life-lesson from-Death? Or he felt so devastated of this man's emotion, and he ran towards the street, which Tae Woo accidentally hit him, and it triggered Tae Woo to become a monster?

On 1/9/2024 at 8:11 AM, Tofu said:

The homeless man and white collar man was not in the manhwa so I was a little surprised by it. I don't think they were needed, but I understand why the drama put them in. I don't think Yi Jae committed suicide again. Death said something about that life being cruel, so maybe it was to teach him a lesson that his lack of moral understanding/valuing his life is what started it.

I think Yi Jae committed suicide as the white collar guy. He had already gotten his revenge against Tae-U but had not learnt his lesson yet. He just wanted to get the remaining lives over with quickly. So he ran out to die. Of course, this decision only reinforced his thoughtlessness, as he was when he first jumped off the building.

On 1/5/2024 at 5:58 PM, mademoiselle said:

Death said Yi Jae won after he lived to the end of his Omma's life. Is it because Omma was supposed to die on Mount Oh Bong?

On 1/9/2024 at 8:11 AM, Tofu said:

He won because he was able to live his Omma's entire life to the end. In the manhwa, he was given 13 lives, so at the end he gets another shot to change his life around. He ends up not jumping and taking his Omma's phone call.

I think the purpose of the 12 chances was to let him discover that suicide hurt others. After the white collar guy, he said he would just kill himself quickly again and there's nothing Death can do about it. She taunted him and said let's see how easy you can do that. He didn't get it until he became his mum. Then he understood her despair at his death, and how her life was even tougher than his, but she lived on for him. So on one hand, he probably couldn't bear to kill his own mum, and on the other, perhaps it was penance for the suffering he brought her. He lived as his mum for 30 years, and surely it was not a comfortable life (but that last place she was at sure had very good scenary haha). That is a very long time. In this way, he won because that was Death's goal all along. For him to understand that his suicide was selfish. So he got another chance at his own life again instead of going to hell.
