No wonder lately Jae Wook looks gorgeous with his hair etc for public appearances etc. Must look pretty when courting, hehehe!

@abs-oluteM haha, I actually forgot his ship with Ara. I had GYJ in my mind, and wasn't sure whether there is one with JSM.

That guy always looks damn charming

Hahahaha I really wanted to write in the ship thread with Ara actually because I wanted post my mokpo photos relating to DDSSLLS there when I visited Korea this time last year. I've been so busy or tired that it hasn' happened yet though :PikachuFacePalm: Also I wanted to complain about KBS removing a good half of my DDSLLS behind the scenes videos which Stroppyse and I subbed!!! :letalQQ: Not that I think anyone will read it - those fans had to move on from the heartbreak though they were a very nice crew here on JH :idk:

@JenL I thought of you!!! How do you feel...?

@abs-oluteM It is true. Apparently, only dated for a month and they met at last year's Prada's Fashion Week in Milan! I remember the clothes Jae Wook wore. Hahaha!

P.S. The first thought I had when I saw the photo was "Who is she?" :lmao2: I'm so out on KPOP!

@mademoiselle my second question to@JenL too is  how she feels ! 🤣🤣. My TL is just filled with their dating news . I have no idea who she is though I have heard of the group. They look pretty good together. But I guess a lot of JaeWook ships must be feeling the burn .

Hahahahaha I was feeling down just then for no reason. And then I was talking to my sister and mentioned this LJW relationship thing and thought, 'Surely this is not why I feel a little down?!'  (Nah, I just have low energy these last 2 years)

I don't know if I have any particular feelings - a tiny bit of heartbreak :laugh:But honestly, I'm happy that he's happy and I think I'm not too surprised because an attractive young guy is bound to be dating someone in secret (I'm sure he's not the only one of our Oppas to do it, but he was not fast enough to avoid Dispatch :lmao2:) And to be honest, I'd much rather a this type of  news or 'scandal' than anything bad (eg. like those stars that caught up in bullying or drug scandals).

I actually don't really know who she is except that she's a super young Kpop star from a group that I've only heard of in passing. But already there's some drama because she has a huge fandom, including a huge girl fandom.

    Spoiler

And apparently, there was a rumour going around that she was actually into girls? Anyway, some lesbian fans were disappointed, some fans who think LJW is not hot were disappointed she's dating him, then some LJW fans got triggered because they love him and said she is the lucky one. :BulbaConfused:

I think I'd be more excited if it was a kpop star I knew or one that had a super nice reputation (For example, Kim Sejeong has met people who didn't know who she was and she was super normal and nice according to them. And then later on, they found out she was a big Kpop star which they found surprising because she was so down to earth.) But as long as she doesn't seem problematic as a person (whch she doesn't), then I will accept his choices. They seem to look pretty cute and aesthetic together. :heiboi: And hey, if it means LJW be looking hot anf happy all the time, it's a good thing

According to his agency, apparently the answer is yes. Both his and her agency have confirmed it now. They are "getting to know each other."

Wonder if it's because they got to know each other at Fashion week?!

Yes even it's free, the timing often odd and the announcement always late. Heard Xiao Zhan was in MBS but his hairstyle not that great when he came here, the queue also seems quite crazy. I don't even like to queue for food, why I should for oppa ? 🤣 Having said that, our country have a thing for queuing. Remember that long line to get Omega x Swatch watch in MBS ? Or Hello Kitty Mc D ? It's just become singaporean hobby somehow.

Yeah, I think they must announce fan meets rather late to reduce massive crowds. I actually didn't know Kim Sejeong was coming until my other aunt mentioned that David Beckham was coming to TRX mall over the same weekend (I did not go to that, but ended up seeing the linked article that KSJ would be there on the day I was going.) :idk:

As for queuing, I remember lining up in Singapore for some Hawker stall that did a Challenge with Gordon Ramsey. It was really good, but so hot standing outside....can see why you would hate it :psweatduck: I think Singaporeans are like me = gets fomo, so must suffer the queues to get rid of the feeling

@SilverMoonTea What is MBS? It's so hot in SG and queueing outside...? Eugh. NO!

I'm not feeling for anything IU and PBG (yet). I think he's also in talks to star against Kim So Hyun. A pairing I did want to see eons ago, when I still like him. Now I don't have feelings for him, so anything about him at the moment is zero interest. 😅

So Min x Hae In - I will watch too although I would love a reunion with Soo Bin x Hae In. Ji Soo took out too much time from that drama and left too little for Soo Bin and Hae In. Hmph.

Do you think Park Bo Gum has that "it" factor in him still? I feel like since he's be out of the drama scene for so long, there's been lots of rising actors in that time that I don't care much for him anymore. :idk:

    8 hours ago, abs-oluteM said:

I am not a PBG fan. Nothing against him but his pretty-ness does nothing for me. I think he's too pretty , and not quite my type. But then again , I don't even know if I have a type. On the other hand, I am quite intrigued with the pairing of Jung Hae In and JSM.

I've never understood the PBG fandom, but then again I've never fully made it through one of his dramas I think. Not even Reply 88 :idk:

@mademoiselle wouldn't mind a Chae Soo Bin and Jung Hae In second project. Totally agree - the second lead in that drama ruined it :pandarage2:

@abs-oluteM I don't know if you have a very specific type, but I feel like you have a deeper love for the more masculine oppas - in build and facial features - more so than the extremely boyish or extremely pretty boy ones :heiboi:

What do you think if you watch this MV?IU & LJS? 😅

(I guess if IU didn't go public with LJS, netizens would be out of control to ship her with V. There are behind the scenes vids)

Seems like Hae In will have new shippers 😂 I see fans start making collage and video edit of him and So Min.

I feel relieved, his next female lead is an actress and she is So Min, an actress I'm familiar with.

I thought IU's film clip was so cute and even though people know who she's with, there was still some wistful shipping going on

@ssteph haha I don't know if I would feel relief just yet. I hope the drama for Jung So Min and Jung Hae In goes smoothly with no real life dramas. So Min comes from the golden age of Kdramas (she's one of the actresses in their 30s that became big with the Hallyu wave and has a huge, and rather obsessive fandom) and her fans can be mega defensive on her behalf. When she starred opposite Lee Jae Wook in her last project, there was A LOT of mud slinging by her fans to Lee Jae Wook and her other co-stars because people had made up all these stories saying that Jung So Min wasn't being recognised in the project etc (she was contracted to star in only half the drama and another star was to do the second season.) She seems talented and nice enough, but some of her extreme fans' bad behaviours really left a bad taste because they were borderline bullying the second actress who took over from So Min and were pretty nasty to Lee Jae Wook  Anyway hoping there is no dramas for this drama!

Hahaha, that's me itching to criticise, but I learnt to be more circumspect from you gals, so I test water first hahahaha.

I'd rather watch PSH. She's normal even if not exceptional. She's just too girly for fighting scenes lol.

Kim Taeri comes to mind. She was quite good in Revenant. I haven't watched kdramas long enough to know many and seen many works from any one actress. I thought Bae Suzy was quite good in Anna - not sure why she gets criticised for being a bad actress.

Hahaha everyone has their actresses and non actresses I think. I actually don't mind either PSH or PMY. I think although they're not super strong, they do their baseline characters ok and the characters they play are not annoying on the whole. :idk:

My non actress is KGE. I didn't like her in Goblin, I could barely stand her in Little Women and I made it a point to ignore The King: Eternal Monarch. I feel like she acts the same way in each drama. And the characters she portrays are always annoying in some way. I feel like her characters always complain and do illogical things: act Headstrong when they should back down and be level headed, always get everyone in trouble but are not able to fix the problems they created etc. I feel similarly for Suzy to be honest, but I've seen less of her dramas in recent years :KittyBan:

I do really love Kim Tae Ri though. I've seen almost all her projects and I feel like she's a good actress, who picks diverse roles where the characters have layers but are not annoying!

@JenL She's so cute! I have never seen any celebrities. I think out of everyone, Tea and Choco have the highest chance because so many celebrities go to Singapore for events.

She is so cute  Also really nice too because she tried to pick up as many fan gifts and letters as she was leaving. But her poor managers/ handlers nearly had a heart attack when she went closer to the crowd!

Sometimes I wished I lived in Singapore for the celebrity visits too. But then I remember how hot it is and I'm ok

Think Jen just went to the mall where she is, so don't have to pay. Unless you count time as money, too

Hahaha @mademoiselle is correct @Chocolate - no money was spent this time! I just went to the mall since my aunty was planning to go there anyway to show us TRX which is apparently the newest of all the malls:idk:

Surprisingly, there was not too big a crowd (lots of people, but less than I thought) and I was luckily standing on the right side of the stage (closest to the exit she came in and out of). I feel sorry for the people who waited on the other side coz pretty sure they saw nothing. The people who got the best photos apparently waited 5 hours

I had already saw her concert last year, also I'm not that big a fan to wait several hours. I only waited 1 hour, so not too bad an experience overall:popcorn:

    22 hours ago, Chocolate said:

Haha time is money! But to brave the crowds at shopping malls when there is a celebrity... I'm not even sure I would go if Hyun Bin came lol. Maybe if both Binjin came.

Hahaha I agree - time is money. But I've always liked to see celebrities so I guess it feels like value for me. Not sure why. Maybe just to confirm they are real people

But my love of celebrities is probably what got me in my current job so it has earned me money (it's covered the money I spent seeing some celebrities I liked :lenny:)

Lotsa lurkers in this thread, too. What makes you think you're safe here? But I can't believe you set me up in that thread, and decided to hide yours here!  Is there any actresses you are very impressed with in K-entertainment?

      Reveal hidden contents

PMY has just as many stans as PSH and they defend their biases fiercely. PMY vs PSH - which one do you prefer for performance?

Na In Woo in MMH also has been disappointing. I mean, he looks great, but that's it. I honestly was hoping to get more out of him in this one, if you know what I mean. That said, with actresses, I don't think I can even name one female lead actresses where I'm very impressed with, in a constant manner.

Hahaha I was wondering if MMH was worth watching, but it sounds like another big drama that wasn't worth it according to you seasoned drama watchers, so glad I didn't pick it up. Do all of you watch every Kdrama? What makes you decide if something is worth watching?

I use to watch all the dramas with the big league actors like PMY. But the older I get, the more I can only watch dramas if the story looks good and I like both actors and the pairing looks like it'd work well. Maybe one day I'll watch it if extremely bored :idk:

    12 hours ago, mademoiselle said:

I'm like you guys actually. Eon years ago there was news LMH will go to another city for CF. I could fly there and wait at the airport, but then I thought why the heck would I drive 1 hour to my airport, fly over there JUST TO SEE HIM FOR FEW MINUTES? Plus, I don't even know when he'll arrive, so I'd have to wait at the airport. No thanks. But, another online friend I know went to LAX (from California) to see him. It was so chaotic that she was pushed closer to him too, so I guess that was worth it? (And we've got pictures/videos of her beside him...hahaha!) The dedication between us was just different. Hahaha! If I can't convince myself it is worth it, I just can't cross that line for Oppa. I often think why can't one of those, I went somewhere and they just happened to be there - that kind of scenario?

Hahaha you know how I feel about LMH, so I'd say that you made the right choice. Would not be worth it because the crowds would also be crazy :lmao2:

Question: would you see Rowoon at a paid (or unpaid) thing if he was coming to our city??

I only go to the celebrity things I have definite times for - have never waited at the airport for example because that sounds tricky (long wait for a few seconds, unsure of when they come out, these days most wear masks or caps). But if they're going to be at a shopping mall or fashion event where they'll be there at least an hour and it's not too hard to get to, sure, count me in :BulbaOWO:

    12 hours ago, Tofu said:

In Singapore, I learned that before you ask anything about going somewhere, you ask how long the queue is. People will decide to go somewhere based on that. Where I live, we ask about parking. If there's no parking, it doesn't even make it to my list of places to go. I don't have the patience for things like this anymore. LOL!!

I feel like in my city, queues draw more people in. Especially for food - people automatically assume long queue = good food

    12 hours ago, mademoiselle said:

True. That's totally me, that's why I avoid going to the city or places where it's difficult to find parking. I'd always park inside a mall in the city because that's the best I know with an undercover carpark and I don't have to stress about other public parking lot, as they all charge differently too.

Parking sounds like the worst! I don't own a car and my life feels all the better for it. I do drive a few times a month, but luckily it's to friend's houses so no troubles for parking.

The participants all so pretty and well dressed, the house they stayed in is so nice too. And its relaxing to see they just cooking or chatting. The romance had a lot of one sided love going on, and they keep getting confused and changing their love interests, I think that's why it's so fun 😂

Hahaha @SilverMoonTea from all my years of knowing you, you only like 2 kinds of romances: 1) The ones that are cursed because they're very mild or almost non-existant or 2) The ones that are cursed because they're too hot and full of illegal tension  This is why you like dating shows!!

  8. Episodes 1-2

I'm actually really enjoying this drama. It's been a long time since I've been invested in a drama couple/ romance genre story. The premiere episodes of this have trumped everything I watched last year by a long shot so far! I'm not sure why - maybe because it's my 2 old favourite oppas, Park Hyung Sik and Yoon Park. Maybe because it's the old school romance leads, Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik. Maybe it's because Park Hyung Sik has rebounded back to his Strong Women Do Bong Soon days. Eh who knows, I'm just really liking everything

The story is refreshing too. I think so many Korean dramas in the past have always made doctors these highly revered and god like figures. But I prefer to see the human side of doctors - to see what happens when things get tough because it's not one of those walk in the park type jobs. I also actually don't really like medical dramas because I'm really quite squirmish about blood and body parts and bodily functions etc (Funny because I can deal with gangster hacking each other up, but don't want to watch 20 mins of an operation with lots of blood). But I find this story one I can invest in because the characters are more of the focus rather than the medical cases (so far) :heiboi:

The characters are pretty well balanced so far. I think they have their flaws, but definitely not finding anyone annoying and can easily sympathise with all their problems. Wonder if Jeong woo is being framed by one of his old classmates?  Really glad Ha Eul's mum accepted her depression - I hate it when parents are in denial for several episodes!

@peperomia @mademoiselle yes to Yoon Park playing more likeable characters. It's been awhile since he was the hot kind hearted chef from Age of Youth/ Hello My Twenties. And damn, I miss that! :letalQQ:

Last year was pretty bad - so many good fan meets for Someday or One Day and Lee Jaewook and I couldn't even make it to one due to preplanned holidays and then work being busy.

One day I will make it work for Lee Jaewook :wow2:

@JenL , I remembered we talked about MBTI a while back and you are truly an extrovert to the core. I went out all day on Saturday and I'm still recovering from the amount of socializing I did that day.

Hahaha oh dear @mademoiselle why does your social experiences sound somewhat traumatic?! You and @Tofu sound like you need low key relaxing hang outs at safe restaurants :KittyMummy:

A nightmare to all of you: ...So before I went on this holiday, I went and caught up/ hung out with different people for 9 days straight. However almost all the people I caught up with were introverts

I do get my energy from hanging out with people. But contrary to popular belief, I'm not a super extrovert. I'm really more of an ambivert. Whenever I do those personality tests, I only skew towards the extrovert side by 1 or 2 questions. I like to be social, but I need a fair bit of independence/ time by myself as well (I travel well by myself and eat out by myself, watch movies by myself etc). I was just as happy during the lockdown watching kdramas/ doing my own projects as I was going out this past week everyday and seeing different people  As opposed to a few of my extroverted friends who felt drained and sad during the lockdowns because they couldn't see people.

@Tofu yes I remember talking about this! My MBTI is ENFP which is oddly the most introverted of the extroverts - all the introverts I know think I'm super extroverted and all the extroverts I know think I'm quite introverted. It's a weird mix!

There is this ex couple that kept going back and forth, they've been together for 4 years and the guy probably having some middle life crisis or just bored but he also seems still love her. I couldn't really figured him out too and it's frustating.

Ah my dear @SilverMoonTea, you are the dating show expert more than me

I am ashamed that I have now watched Singles Inferno and I will deny it ever happened if asked by the people around me :psweatduck: (jks, jks, I already told my friends and they judged me, but also they've watched the worse reality TV like Jersey Shore, so they told me that this was nothing :idk:)

The Drama Awards show didn't share with international viewers a broadcast link of the actual show, just the red carpet, so we didn't really watch it. MBC had two couples that were really competitive so that made it entertaining. SBS was quite boring, the couple I want to see, actor Song Kang didn't attend. KBS, Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun were there but I wasn't them at all. It would have meant more if it were him and Jo Bo Ah, but JTBC doesn't have an award show.

Glad as I am for the NY couple exposed is again none of my Oppa. This year's I don't care, it's idol Lee Na Young and a sportsman. But they responded they have already broken up. Hahaha.

Ohhh saddd. I guess I didn't miss much then. But hopefully this New Years Eve at the end of the year will have better awards. Depends on whether there are better couples this year I guess :smug:

Hahaha, Dispatch were slow on the game this year. A broken up couple? Too slow (also don't care about sports people)  :heiboi:

Whaaa, you want LJW to do a vampire drama? I don't know why, vampire theme tends to fail more than succeeding. Since I want him to succeed, so I hope he wouldn't do one.

Hahaha that's been a long standing rumour for Cho Yi Hyun! Not sure where I first saw it, but I've seen it mentioned by her fans a few times. :idk:

I like vampire stories, but I do think it's hard to do them well - so much is often done in an overly dramatic, cheesey way for the sake of portraying an impossible romance (Twilight) or done poorly for the sake of having a sad/ bittersweet ending (Heatbeat). But I think there's a first time for everything to succeed so I wouldn't write it off just because it hasn't succeeded in the past - I've seen good romances and bad romances, good mystery/murder stories and terrible ones, really touching sports dramas and also really uninspiring sports dramas (I'm looking at you Love All Play :pandarage2:)...and so I think vampire stories just need someone with good taste and good storytelling ability to take it on :heiboi:

Anyway, LJW has a good eye and even more star power to pick his own projects these days so I trust his decisions if he chooses to / or not to do one :BulbaOWO:

What episode? Am I mentioned in your podcast again? Hahaha! I'm pretty sure I mentioned everywhere in JH that Uncanny Counter 2 is meh but I don't remember details. As for Rowoon, I talk about it a lot...!

I knowwwww - I'm terrible at responding to everyone which is a mystery why I still have friends

Please feel free to share all your excitements with me anyway coz I always like knowing what's going on and which of my Oppas are doing stuff (If LJW is doing another round of fan meets, I give you permission to spam tag me EVERYDAY). I also like reading your opinions and finding out which dramas everyone likes or doesn't like. Since covid lockdowns ended I sometimes book myself up for full weeks of socialising though - this week I'm going out every night, so I try to watch my dramas late at night afer I've come back from friends hang outs and then respond here. I kinda wish I had as much time as I did during lockdowns sometimes (though I do not want to be lockdowned) :pandahehe:

Hahaha I think I mention you (not by name but as a friend who loves Rowoon) on every episode where there's Rowoon mentioned. And probably in the 2 hour episode because I think I talked about why people liked/ didn't like Uncanny Counter 2 (I think I mentioned a few reasons you mentioned for not liking it). I actually liked it better than a lot of the other sequels like Taxi driver 2 and found it entertaining but not as dark as D.P 2 so I think I talked about some of it's redeeming qualities as well as it's major shortcomings.:heiboi:

That's very true! If I ever meet a celebrity in real life and I knew they were someone you ladies liked, I would ask them to say hi to you. Although, I think it would be hilarious given our names -- mademoiselle, Abs, Tea, and Choco. @JenL I watched most of the dramas airing during the weekend in the last 2 months , and the story which resonated most with me was Welcome to Samdalri. Plot wise, there's nothing new or even out of the ordinary. But it is written pretty well especially the conversations. This writer has the knack for writing shows that make me cry a river ( Hi Bye Mama, Go Back Couple). Plus the cast is just solid. So if you are looking for a heartwarming slice of life, this is recommended.

Oooh interesting. I think I've become so jaded from Ji Chang Wook dramas in recent years that I didn't think to watch it at all. But maybe I'll give it a shot someday when I feel more in the mood to give it a go. I also haven't seen the other dramas by this writer so I am curious :pandathink:

One of my favourites as y'all know was Dodosolsollalasol, which could also count as a small town drama. One of my favourite Taiwanese dramas is Yong Jiu Grocery Store - The most ultimate small town, slice of life drama (guy gives up being an office worker in the city to come home to help his ill grandfather with his grocery store in the countryside)

Was KSJ's concert a full house? She had it like North Melbourne, isn't it? Which is unusual, as usually these things are held in the city.

Hahaha oh I haven't seen the Rowoon version of this 'Say hi to my mum'...do you have a link???  She posted it from her own Twitter account so I suppose I could ask her. She seemed conversational

I appreciate that you'd ask him to say to meeee :wow::laugh:

KSJ's concert was pretty full house. Some guy behind me flew in from Perth to see her and the dude in front of me was a Malaysian guy who had followed her to 4 CONCERTS (Melbourne, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand) and was flying out to see Jessica from Girl's Gen in Thailand THE NEXT DAY :BulbaConfused: Some people sure are rich :pandatakeit: But yeah, the reason I knew it was full house was coz it took ages to get group photos. Lots of cattle herding of everyone in the venue.

The venue was close to Southern cross station. I think they chose it because they were picking a place which was not too big, not too small (so could maximise ticket sales) and from which they could guard her safely (I think the venue had less entrannces and exits than others I've seen). Festival Hall is a weird venue though because it's owned by Hillsong, the church :lettalKWA: They bought it a number of years ago. They were stressed about how late the concert went overtime though (I assume they had to clean up for church gatherings on the weekend )

I'm watching Welcome to Samdalri, Marry My Husband, My Demon, My Man is Cupid and Like Flowers in Sand. They are still airing, so I'm not selling these dramas to you in case they went downhill. Personally, I am enjoying My Demon a lot - it's an easy and entertaining watch with two beautiful people. And then there are the more "meaningful" type of dramas such as Samdalri and Flowers in Sand.

Samdalri in the beginning can be a bit difficult to watch, but once you hit around episode 4 where the drama delve into the precious friendships and family bonds, I love it. Like Flowers in Sand, I just really like Jang Dong Yoon's character and the backdrop of the story where he's a ssireum player is kind of different and refreshing. Both has small town, village-type story.

I'm back to finish my responses! :heiboi:

I've missed all those dramas because I wasn't particularly interested in the storylines or actors. I think my first watches of this year will be Eye Love You and Doctor Slump at the end of Jan. For now I'll just be finishing Moving as the slowest person to watch it :idk:

Why was Welcome to Samdalri hard to watch at first? And what is Samdalri anyway???

BTW @abs-oluteM and @mademoiselle I was sad not to have watched the Drama Awards with you both on New Year's Eve as I have the last few years on New Years! I was a friend's party, so I missed all the glamour! But last year was only a so-so drama year for me, so didn't have any couples/ reunions I was looking forward to. It's more worth it than being in The Matchmakers. There was no outstanding performance like he did for Shin Yu, as Sim Jung Woo was quite mediocre. It's a 中規中矩 drama. Kinda bland, even in terms of story. Cho Yi Hyun's character is not very interesting, too. Can you tell I'm not happy with this drama? LOL! I have trouble deciding which sageuk character I liked better if I had to rate them, i.e. Matchmakers vs King's Affection. I don't think I like either very much. I'll take it as him practising sageuk (and sageuk tone), but at the moment, I prefer watching him in modern drama.

Really? That bad, huh! :lettalKWA: I think Shin Yu was definitely his best performance yet, despite my misgivings on that drama. I'm not a big fan of Sageuk either way but I feel sad that it wasn't an interesting storyline/ pairing. And out of all the girls, I think I ended up liking Ha Jeong the best because she was pretty funny in the end and they gave her a 'one-sided romance' storyline which was relatable content :heiboi:

    Who were your favourites @SilverMoonTea?

Haha Gwan Hee is really the most exhausting character through all 3 seasons ... But somehow he seems to be also someone who wear his heart on his sleeve. @JenL what do you think of him? Also I think Hye Seon is pretty good at dechipering people pretty well.

Hahaha I didn't know you started a whole thread on this show

I was not a fan of Gwan Hee at all - he was a big man baby, but I suppose they needed someone to bring the entertainment and drama and Gwan Hee was good at being dramatic and talkative. I've never watched watched the other seasons so don't know how he weighs up compared to the other season's contestants. But he was definitely the most exhausting guy on the island.

As for Hye Soon, I think she was fun enough. I already got the sense that she was a very ambitious person from her discipline to maintain her body and her ability to do a very good course at a good uni. I feel like she was good at reading and dechipering people, but not sure if she that much chemistry with Gwan Hee? I don't know if I believed they actually liked each other more than friends...but I felt like she went for him coz, you know :pandatakeit:

Actually outside the show GH and SE have more chemistry even more than partner they choose in the show.

There's a Taiwanese drama called 'At the Moment' on Netflix which I watched last year and the first episode is about these actors who end up on a reality show called 'New Tenants' (which reminds me of a spoof of 'Terrance House' ). In the show two of the actors pretend they're falling in love on the reality TV episodes to bring up the ratings, but in real life Gingle Wang's character is falling for another actor behind the scenes of the show.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was the case here :idk:

I didn't realized you created this thread way back then. Hahaha!!

The red flag man is supposedly a chaebol or comes from a wealthy family. Many of the girls knew that which is why he was so popular.

Yeah, I feel like everyone now knows Gwan Hee as rich. I think if he wasn' there, they would have gone for the more modelly looking guys :heiboi:

I sooooo understand this! Late last year, I was also in a drama slump and only wanted to watch reality. I even watched Physical 100! But I drew the line at Singles Inferno hahaha.

Hahahaha yeah, it's weird! I don't know why I've sunken so low as to watch Single Inferno when I swore I never would!!! I feel like I'm waiting for all my shows to come out at the moment so I don't think I've watched anything new recently. I'm still finishing Moving - I don't know if I'm in love with the show as much as other people were, but it's still a fun watch. I'm probably not as addicted because I'm not live watching it...which means I take forever to complete it :heiboi:

I didn't even know you adopted Kim Min Gyu and Kim Seon Ho (since Start-Up?). I left them in the adoption list, but they aren't in the heart anymore. Hahaha!

Hahaha I don't think I've written my list anywhere so it's all from memory. Both were super weak adoptions to begin with...and now both have faded considerably. I think I couldn't get past KMG's long hair (and poor wattpad storyline) in The Heavenly Idol and KSH...well, I got the ick after the scandal. I don't think people should be cancelled necessarily, but for each actor, there's a period of testing the waters. This one has drown in the waters for me unfortunately :idk:

I can see his charm, actually. I just need a boost with the character he plays to help me love him more than just a fling. I'm checking out his Jdrama later. I see you already tweet about it. Will you watch together with us?

Fair enough :heiboi: I agree CJH hasn't taken any strong enough roles which has emphasised his charms. They need to utilise his puppy dog cuteness in all its glory  Yep, totally going to check out his Jdrama! I went through a phrase last year where I watched like 3-4 Jdramas in a row after years of not watching any. Looking forward to this one though! Is it out yet??? Does @Tofu know?

True. I didn't know why she liked LMH's character, but then, I also think it could be because she met him first, not Steven's character. And don't people always say women are drawn to dangerous/bad men (red flags)? P.S. Not Kim Go Eun (this one is Eternal Monarch). Will you watch Pachinko 2? Will Steven Noh appear again as a memory?

I think from memory of the book, he's meant to be 'handsome' and also as you say, the 'bad boy' syndrome. I think she comes to accept her husband, but I don't it's quite the passionate love she had for LMH. Which is ew since that character he plays is a creep.

Ohhh right. I mixed up the co-stars  It's Kim Min-Ha. I was wondering why I picked it up when I thought it was KGE hahaha

I'll watch Pachinko 2 since Steven Noh is in it and he makes for a hot pastor

Why are you apologising re: Dr. Slump?

Hahaha isn't it your unholy pairing of Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik?

Death's Game is superb. The pace of the drama is just right, too. I would imagine you already have watched because of Lee Jae Wook! His performance in here is really good! I just wish he could have the same chance for his own leading roles! Look forward to seeing his upcoming 2 dramas.

I loved Death's Game! It was fun and gruesome at times, but also sad annd meaningful at others. I was really touched by the LJW storyline, but wished he could have had longer :pandahehe:  I've liked all of LJW's characters so far in all his dramas, but understand some of the disappointments people have had about the storylines. Anyway, this is a LJW year and I'm really looking forward to his 2 upcoming dramas :BulbaOWO::wow:

Oh, just realised it's 2:15am :lettalKWA: I shall resume responses tomorrow
