  1. @ktcjdrama @abs-oluteM I think this is a better way to put it. Not getting mad, getting Even!
  2. Episode 3 - I feel like I like this show in a very similar way to how I liked Uncanny Counter - It's that feeling of watching justice being served by a bunch of caring, knowledgeable and powerful individuals who are righting all the wrongs in society. It's just so satisfying to watch each episode. - Like @abs-oluteM I'm intrigued about CEO Jang. I feel like he's a whole lot of grey so far in terms of ethics. He is very empathetic and helpful to victims and he cares deeply about helping them through their issues and stopping those who harass them. But at the same time there's this deep unforgiving rage and he has a plan/ vendetta he is carrying out. And I wonder if he'll have to sacrifice his good morals in order to carry it out? - School bullying episode...how relevant! Also totally can see another reason why they had to replace Lee Na Eun / reshoot her scenes...couldn't have someone being accused of school bullying on the show as well! Not surprised there was such an episode since most dramas seem to feature some element of it, but this one was particularly good at highlighting not just the rotten students, but the rotten system and lack of support for victims asking for help. And really, if that has happened to kids accusing celebrity bullies...I can see why they wanted to seek revenge now (on people like Jisoo) when they found the chance. It would have been the only chance they got in all these years! - The bullies in this episode were particularly horrifying when they came to the victim's house and pretty much threatened to stab his mum I felt so sorry for that kid who had already suffered all sorts of abuse. They are so evil and even dare to pick on an adult teacher who they see as having 'low status' -Can I say I love dorky Lee Je Hoo?! Like he's sooo cool and stoic as the driver but then when he acts in his different roles as business man or teacher, he is such an adorable dork @abs-oluteM It's not just the women in the show who is crushing on him...it's meeeeee -I'm also not comfortable with gangster boss lady who loves money @ktcjdrama...she seems morally ambiguous and has dirt on them and could ask for more money to keep quiet. I also thought she was suggesting the young guy make back his debt money by being a giglo -Hahaha paying back = getting revenge is the same difference @ktcjdrama. It's an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth...so essentially 'paying' back what is owed in terms of what was taken/given as abuse. It's definitely not always the best way to deal with crime as there's always lots of factors as to why someone does something and there's a chance that there's room for reform...but then other times there are crimes so heinous and the criminal acts so blasé and doesn't show any remorse that it makes you wish they got this type payback. I want to say things should be fair and there is a correct, standardised ethical solution to address what is wrong, but there probably isn't
  3. Correct! I think it was 2011 actually. There was a huge K-pop concert that came out this way which included Girls Generation, CNBlue, 2PM, Miss A etc. etc. I'm not a K-pop person but went to see JYH, so that was the height of my obsession
  4. Is Twitter down or is it just my laptop? I feel like massive law reforms are needed whenever I watch K-dramas/movies especially those based on true cases. House arrest is also stupid because they could be very comfortable there unless you take away privileges I liked watching them try each other's languages! Maybe it's because I'm learning Korean now and butchering the language quite badly Congrats on negative test! Hope you're feeling better! Hahaha oh dear. That means all the drama choices have not been good at all! Weightlifting Fairy is the best. I rarely rewatch dramas but I do rewatch scenes from this one when I'm not feeling great because it's so fun and lovely. And it does look at depression or feeling down. Hahaha, good to know it's normal to have some aversions. I can't really watch Lee Min Ho or Kim Go Eun. Ji Chang Wook also possibly. I'm not even fully sure why. I went to the Art Gallery today and only had limited time to get food since it was far away from other places. So I ate a Hot dog and some Portuguese fried fish cakes. I think I just shortened my lifespan some more (not that I'm any healthier daily) But I feel less guilty since you have Maccas diet! Mmmm pork broth Is 4 Fingers good in Singapore? We had a store here, but it wasn't good compared to all it competitors here...and then I think the Pandemic killed it!
  5. I feel like actors do age, but for some weird reason JYH's aging was more noticeable to me than say Gong Yoo's. I'm not even sure if it's skin related though I feel like you're right on all the points mentioned above. Not sure why...it's like he's got thicker. It's not weight gain, but he's just not as defined as he use to be? I actually didn't recognise him after the first big gap he had with dramas. But it's not terrible, it's just not the same JHY with shaggy hair Ahaha, you know, I'm not even going to deny this. It's true! But I also think the industry has increased in noona pairings so I've just gotten use to it I agree if the visuals are good and the chemistry is there, I'm all in these days For both Noona or Oppa pairings! I think most moderate age gaps don't bother me so much because I've know people in real life with huge age gap relationships and it seems normal so long as it's two consenting adults...so transferred into the drama world, it's a similar sentiment if visuals and chemistry are present. But I guess there's always things that can alter my feelings. For example, I don't like the characters in Goblin, but less to do with the age gap itself more to do with the feeling that Kim Go Eun's character made Gong Yoo's character look old and that bothered me? BUT - to tie into @Chocolate and @ktcjdrama's discussion about actresses they don't like (which for Chocolate is Jang Nara) - I think Kim Go Eun is an actress I find overrated and don't particularly care for? I can't tell if it's her or the characters she picks that annoys me, but I'm not a fan....so the age gap seems to be less of an issue compared to how I feel about the actors/actresses involved Yes I agree. Maybe another reason I feel icky about Kim Go Eun was her break out movie Eungyo where a 70 year old man falls in love with a 17 year old student played by KGE. And in my mind, I find it hard to disassociate that too He's not wrong. She's so youthful that it puts me to shame She must be a vampire or how else can we explain her youth and beauty?? (LOL. Good genes)
  6. Omg yes! I feel like DDSSLLS could be an excellent webtoon either officially or as a fan drawn one. It could just be a slice of life dealing with every day little things like the drama or maybe tackle some of the loose ends of the story or even be done with a reboot to the end! I wish someone would do it for reals! My sister is a good drawer so maybe when she's not so busy I could commission her to draw a better ending But she's not a drama watcher so there wouldn't be a long webtoon series I have seen some really good fan art on Instagram, but usually just as a single scene from the drama as opposed to a comic story. I really like this artists' style: https://www.instagram.com/sooniistudio_/ This other artist is less consistent when she the draws the face of characters, but I thought she drew these scenes well: https://www.instagram.com/imnujdrawstudios/ Haha, I have to say I don't watch J-dramas as much any more though I occasionally will pick up a series and love it dearly. But when I don't get into them, it's years before I do pick something up. I think Jdramas are often quite cute , but they are just so polite/formal and love to make their characters act comic-like that it's often hard to display the same naturalness of Korean dramas. In any case, I don't know if I'm familiar enough with the Japanese entertainment world to pick from the younger actors. My favourite Japanese actors/Entertainers are all like 35+ I think! Dean Fujioka, Wentz Eiji, Hiro Mizushima...haha so none would be young enough to play Jun! I did come across an actor called Taishi Nakagawa who is the same age as LJW and does give off the same vibes though I've never seen his projects before (Doesn't this picture remind you of LJW? https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu_Da2DB9B4/) . As for Lala, I really like Haruka Fukuhara...but she's only 22 too! https://asianwiki.com/Haruka_Fukuhara Yes, it would be lovely to see them build a home together especially because you'd see the warmth of Lala's family life and it would have been nice to hear more little stories from her childhood through the things she picked for their house and the reasons why she picked them...Imagine an extension of the appliance shopping scene except this time, Jun could happily say that he was shopping with his real wife and they could walk home with their purchases like this again... I love the life lessons from this show and I definitely think Lala would still have so much she would teach Jun (and the rest of us for sure). I would love to think Lala would continue to play the welcome song. And Jun would also ask Lala to play music for him as he cleaned the house. But they'd totally cook together like when they baked cookies and Lala made gimbap Jun certainly does deserve his own design studio. He should be an architect! Hard to decide which channel I like the most. Surprisingly, I think I like a lot of slice of life/ romance dramas from JTBC (When the Weather is Fine, 18 Again, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon) but TVN seem to carry the big name projects, so I don't mind. It looks like it'll be a fantasy romance. There's more info here and a link to this rookie actresses instagram. She looks quite artistic and maybe a bit of an alternative/ hipster/ arthouse type rather than super conventional. https://www.kdramastars.com/articles/120342/20210414/lee-jae-wook-park-hye-eun-star-new-drama-return.htm Don't know if I'm ready for a romance from LJW, but I'll probably watch live. Looking forward to Move to Heaven! Someone said LJW is gonna cameo in episode 10? Don't take my word on it though!
  7. As soon as that scene came on screen I thought of you I liked The Package, but I feel like it's a largely forgotten drama. I don't hear the name come up very often...like no one ever says that was their favourite drama etc. But yeah, when I watched that drama, I liked JYH again! Hahaha...that can easily be done if he goes swimming again Yep, I reckon she's sticking around to to protect HIA and that's why she can't leave this world. It feels like there's something her mother knows that she can't communicate to her daughter? She looks so sad all the time...but maybe that's coz she was murdered Hahaha JYH was my main Oppa before Jasper I even went interstate to see him perform with CNBlue in Sydney. Wow what a shame cameras were pretty bad then. This is the best shot I got. Haha, his hair makes me laugh. You're not wrong, I do like a good musician Jasper is a guitarist of many years and now he sings. But then LJW can't actually play instruments, so But he can rap! I think so. I think he's rather charming and bright, but is pretty reserved as well so probably is an introvert outside of star life! He is rather cute in his behaviour... Hahaha well he was the prime Oppa many years ago but then he fell out of the running completely...I think I liked him more in his band boy/emo years and he has 'matured' in his look these days. I think he looks very different to when he was in Heartstrings but I can't quite put my finger on it...do you guys see a change? But I'm a sucker for charisma and I'm starting to feel the charm again, so let's see how long I last this time with Sell Your Haunted House before I start fangirling again Hahaha First adopter for the abs Me too! I think he's good as a con because he's quite a charismatic actor Also maybe it's just basic me liking 'bad' boys again I use to not really like them years ago...but so many dramas pair in the noona direction these days that I feel like all my favourite pairings/dramas have gone that way, at least in terms of the actors, if not the actual characters themselves. You can blame 18 Again (17 years between LDH and KHN) and DDSSLLS (8 years between GAR and LJW) from last year... Actually there's more when I think about it: Hotel Del Luna (4 years between IU and YJG), When the Weather is Fine (8 years between PMY and SKJ), Weightlifting Fairy (5 years between LSK and NJH)
  8. Hello! I got over my name change bias and I'm here! @SilverMoonTea was right. This is also my cup of tea. I enjoyed the first 2 episodes much more than I thought I would. Episodes 1&2 -Yay for non-scary scary dramas! I'm not sure if I've just gotten better with Korean ghost in dramas or this is just super light for ghost SFX. Either way, I didn't find myself too scared, though I still cover in case of jump scares. I find the ghosts in this one less scary than Hotel Del Luna, more scary than The Devil Punisher so it's a good in-between! - My favourite thing about non-scary scary ghost stories is that they'll always look at the best and worse of humanity and usually have sad, bittersweet stories about how to live and regrets. I liked the story about the two guys who died at the building - that coward guy was so evil, but it was sad for the one who wanted to try again. - I enjoyed the art gallery scene too, though it's put evil thoughts in my head about haunted paintings - I'm loving the gothic feel of the real Estate agent/ house/ Jung Nara's character. But also loving the no-nonsense way the real estate deals with ghosts. Like they're almost bored of them and everything is very business transactional Also hilarious is the way she fights with her mum about her clothes - but her mum is like a scary looking ghost. - I've been charmed again by JYH. I went through an intense fangirling of CNBlue in my youth. And then I got over them...but every time I watch a JYH drama, I get charmed by him all over again. And in his older age, I find he has a fitting face for con-artist (Were you charmed by his abs @abs-oluteM?) - Jung Nara is so cool and badass in this drama. I can't believe she's 40...she looks like she's 20-something Anyway, I like that the misunderstanding is there for romance, since OIB's character is the humorously mildly narcissistic type and it made me laugh when the friend was like, "She's asking you to her house, she's into you" - I think this one will have some form of romance. It might be the light, implied kind where it's shown but they don't fully admit...though 15 episodes is a lot to fill and they'll probably want to "heal" the characters so... -Looking forward the mystery being unravelled with whose mum/uncle was the victim. I'm so confused. Maybe more than one ghost was involved? Both kids can't have been there and not remembered the other, right?
  9. @mademoiselle She was apparently the teaching assistent? I saw that the role was originally offered to Park Hye Soo, but was probably retracted with her scandals.
  10. Yep, I was just saying that over at the DDSSLLS thread...it wasn't the nicest of endings, but looking at KJH's agency issues, there could be much much worse. It's like they took revenge on him for even daring to think about changing agencies! For LJW, he didn't consider any other agencies, but maybe the idea of leaving still annoyed them as they feel like they made him? He apparently didn't have a manager or agent when he started in Memories of Alhambra: Haha, I don't actually know who she is either. The only thing I've seen is that people said she was 'good' in The School Nurse File ...but then again most of those people were intense LJW fans, so they're probably relieved he's just in something and would be happy with who he was paired with regardless. I think she's cute, but like you, have no idea about her acting abilities. I've never seen an actress advance from one side character role in main role before though It's terrible but sometimes if there's a big jump I wonder if it's nepotism or something. But then again, everyone has to start somewhere and maybe I'm just prone to negative thinking? Interesting. Hahaha if this is a ghost related drama, I wouldn't mind it. I hate horror, but somehow I made it through Hotel Del Luna . I think if it's a ghost story with humanised elements (ie. the ghosts can still be redeemed and had tragic stories) as opposed to vengeful ghosts I'm ok. But yeah, looking at what you've said Hong Sister's dramas were either very popular or a bit of a weird mess. Korean Odyssey my friend loved it, but it didn't speak to me. Personally I don't know if I love Journey to the West except as the original tale. As a drama, the idea sounded weird. Ooooh really? I have seen nothing about the plot only news that LJW is in talks with this rookie actress. But if it's supernatural, I hope it'll be an interesting and meaningful supernatural as opposed to cheesy. Please no cheese I think jealousy is ok, as long as you deal with it maturely. Like in the cases you mentioned, their partners just don't watch the scenes. But it's not like they tell them they must change the script so as not to do the scenes? As an actor/ partner of an actor, I guess it's part of the job unless you actively avoid the romance genre or play characters that would never be given a romance line. Hahaha he is! But only a small role/ cameo and he's not in the trailer. But I think he's not going to be an attractive character since he got the main character framed for jail? Something tells me he could be a trash character a la Marco Han style. I should! I'll look into this weekend. I just don't know if I can stand watching JCW! I was ok with him in the past...but now he's heading in the direction LMH went...which is that I find him overrated and don't tend to like his projects. But this one with a magician sounds interesting?
  11. Yay, I've left it on public for everyone :) Thanks so much for everyone's generosity This is a lovely wishlist idea! I always thought it would have been such a fitting and empowering scene to have Lala propose and really stand out amongst K-drama heroines since she would have been brave enough and cute enough to do it...and LJW would have pulled such a cute flustered reaction It would have been such a storybook ending the way the start of the story was! I was thinking of my own wishlist and I believe it'd be the following: 1. Having a lovely, simple wedding (since Lala's weddings seem to get simpler each time)...one idea would be pretty much a cute elopement where they were both sitting somewhere under the stars and exchanging rings and telling each other how much they liked each other....And then maybe a really cute little Lalaland wedding with Eunpo folk. 2. A scene showing what a success Lala land had become with students of all ages - lots of kids and elderly people and no creeps! 3. Jun graduating from school and doing what he wanted and his parents coming to visit and showing they liked Lala (even if awkwardly) and Jun's mother complaining with TWD ladies and Jun's father making friends with Dr Cha (since both doctors, right?) 4. Fast Forward to Lala and Jun both sitting at a piano with Mimi and their little toddler/s teaching them how to play songs on the piano in Lala Land. Jun smiles at Lala and their kids - he finally has a family life that isn't cold at all! It's a happy family moment with photos of their lives around Lala Land...the camera pans across all these memories...and then zooms out of that scene, to the title card, 'DDSSLLS: The End.' Hehehe glad you liked these! I hope to find more but I think there'll be no more soon oh well, I'll just look back fondly on these ones. This is so so true. I think they love you too much and if you mess up they will hate you a lot. I think it's fair for somethings like bullying because the celebrities have been acting like such likeable people and then it turns out it was all a façade and their victims have probably felt pained to see them everywhere. But for more private matters, like dating (especially where messages were obtained illegally), it's pretty unfair. Their laws seem pretty flawed to be honest! I agree. I think GAR is humble and happy around her co-workers and shares a lot of her life while filming...But she also does well to avoid spending too much of her time trying to be the centre of attention...as it attracts bad attention too. And I think things like her candidness on social media makes her seem more open - like you know what she does without her covering up too much, so she seems more down to earth. Hahaha, I try not to get my hopes up since I never really see GAR comment on people's posts often. Only Byeol's Live But yes, that hug was cute and natural. Here are all the videos subbed by that instagrammer...I have them as unlisted. Let me know once you've downloaded them as I may take it down... just don't want to get in trouble since this Instagrammer is also a DDSSLLS friend and has helped with finding resources and subbing before. She subbed 4 videos - the rest were done by another instagrammer - MyMonica60 I believe it will be a Historical-Fantasy drama (Sageuk). Something involving a made-up world. I'm not a fan of historical, but I will watch if it's LJW. Not completely sure of the plot but someone on this forum told me that's what they had read.....oh and just found this on Twitter:"#Return is about the stories of young magicians dealing with heavenly spirits" The writers, The Hong sisters, did Hotel Del Luna, Master's Sun, You're Beautiful and a number of others - they have had hits, but also misses, so we'll see how this goes. LJW hasn't announced an agency so maybe he's brave enough to freelance and negotiate his own terms The girl is a super new rookie who everyone says played a character (teacher?) in The School Nurse Files Apparently LJW had no agent for his first drama and went to Spain by himself! How brave! Awww that's sweet of you to say...I just obsess about my favourite things for a looong time I've seen the whole of It's Ok to Not Be Ok - it's a well written drama with interesting characters and a focus on mental health. There's also a gothic fairytale element to it. And Dr Cha's character in it is great! A sleezy publisher agent While I enjoyed it at the time, but it was also very dark and heavy at times, and so popular, that I eventually felt like it was overrated? It took me a long time to get to the end. So it's not in my favourites list, though I can see why others love it. You're right about K-netizens...they are temperamental and like to do the rounds with celebrities! She would be the best piano teacher in Eunpo since she trained a student to play in Europe! Sad there was no Epilogue, but it's like we made our own with our wishlists!
  12. When your two Oppas are twinning... Even their sharp side profiles are kinda similar
  13. Haha have to say they went for a very similar aesthetic...but one I like
  14. Episodes 1&2 -I'm glad this is worth the watch for me. It turned out to be as badass and fun as I wanted it to be. LJH is great to watch as a stoic hero who is fighting back against huge injustices While the support team are great at bringing the laughs - mainly the two mechanics (?) who pretended to be chicken store owners with the chicken van decorated with rubber chickens. I like the female hacker too. The actress Pyo Ye Jin does look quite like Lee Na Eun - I wonder if that was a purposeful choice! -I'm loving the concept of something so ordinary such as a Taxi Service being used as a service for revenge. I think Taxi are quite an element of film noir and Taxi drivers probably do see everything and are the eyes and ears of the city but are easily forgotten -I wish there really was a Deluxe Taxi watching out for all the people who get taken advantage of in this world. The story with Maria was so heart-breaking and sickening. I'm not sure who I found more disgusting -- the violent big boss, the hunchbacked predator or the insurance/ jobs lady who pretended to be nice only to be delivering a young disabled girl into the hands of evil jerks. I hope these types of people get to experience their own personal hells in real life...but on screen it was soooo satisfying to see Kim Do-Ki take them down one by one and use some of the same forms of torture on them (like when he dunked the boss in the water the way he had done to Maria.) -The birth control pills scene made me feel sick. It was so horrible to see it happen - I also wonder whether the head of Deluxe Taxi / Blue Bird Foundation will turn out to fight evil by becoming evil. I feel like he has an underlaying level of anger and he senses that in KDK as well. But it may be that in the end they walk 2 different paths to justice especially once Esom's character gets involved. -Looks like the next episode involves School bullies? How appropriate if so!
  15. Hahaha what is fashion king?! Sounds scary It's always nice when you see understanding of a topic close to home in media, particularly dramas. I thought that storyline was really sad, but moving in the way the Deluxe Taxi staff watched out for her and got her back on her feet. Haha, I feel like it's a common trope when that happens it's a bit like becoming a monster to capture the monsters. I also feel like there's a point if you can't let go of anger where you have to pick if you'll cross over and join the dark side to avenge people. Join the dark side, it's more fun It's really sad when people take advantage of those who trust them, especially if they don't necessarily have the capacity to assess character and motive. I think that's a particular type of evil that should be punished a la Deluxe Taxi style I agree with this so much. I'm hooked even just with the first 2 episodes! There's a real bad-ass feel. I just love vigilante heroes and this has a dash of retro and humour sprinkles across the darker elements. Hahaha I think some of the flashbacks were a little oddly placed in episode 2...but I also think some of the scenes like Maria playing the game is more metaphoric, like she's finally able to take control of her life, as opposed to literal (like the game summoning the taxi company). He's pretttyyyyyyy Why did I never notice his existence before? I've seen several films/dramas with him in it actually, but maybe in his more minor roles. Probably. I think there's always that grey area that has to be explored - like what if there was a reason someone did the bad things or if someone was framed etc. And then are you any better if you behave in the same ways, I guess. Mmmm, let us continue basking in his hot and coolness
  16. Hahaha and yet he's back with the facial hair for Move to Heaven True apparently Ted Bundy was considered good looking to many women but then he killed them
  17. I see it too Thank you all! I have enjoyed reading all your comments and wishlists as well! Don't know what to think of SYJ's personality. It was a private conversation so maybe it was a joke...but it seems very cold. But she was never on my favourites list, so... But in terms of Dispatch, it is evil (and probably illegal) that they hack or phone tap. I always hope that my favourites LJW and GAR and others are not targeted by Dispatch in this way. Sneaky photos, ok...but phone hacking? Invasion of privacy! Hahaha since DDSSLLS, I have been quite traumatised since things can just disappear without notice. Honestly so many things were taken away: -DVD not made -KBS Awards robbed -Monster Union took down BTS videos -Director made their instagram with BTS photos private -Do.do.sol.sol.la.la.sol fan account went away -VAST removed all LJW/Jun's BTS content That's why I gotta celebrate every little win for DDSSLLS and preserve and translate everything: -Well, I now have all the BTS videos and we've translated most of them (also the fan clubs have this) -The fan Clubs saved all LJW's BTS pictures and videos between them - Sasim still sells those keyrings from their date - One Cloudy Day continues to post and still have her gif blog. Do.do.sol.sol.la.la.sol account returned with all her pretty edits too. - They're still one of the drama couples with the most games/ content on The Swoon & KBS Games - They preserved the DDSSLLS sets in Mokpo and every picture of people visiting the locations warms my heart by proving it's still there. Thank you Mokpo! In fact they even have posters around Mokpo showing how far it it to walk to the DDSSLLS sets! I like that visitors to Mokpo would be introduced to the drama Gotta update these on my blog. Hahaha no worries! I was also very pleasantly surprised by my own discovery...a lot can be found from stalking LJW's Korean fan accounts! Sometimes I'm just absentmindly scrolling to see if an account is worth following on Twitter and then BAM! New (old) behind the scenes pics! They're my happy pills also, especially when you can clearly see them together True! Haha...come on GAR you can be social on Instagram and wish LJW a happy birthday. Let's not be shy For me, it's that DDSSLLS will always have a very special place and meaning in my heart. I've actually completed 8 other dramas since finishing DDSSLLS - some romance, some thriller/crime dramas, so I guess I am able to watch other things and even really look forward to them like Uncanny Counter and now Taxi Driver (Now I know who Lee Je Hoon is and I'm massively crushing on him, so move over LJW! ) But there's hasn't been a new romance that has hooked me anywhere as deeply as DDSSSLLS. Also, I think I don't ever want to get over it - the beautiful memories of this series and it's warmth will just live on forever in my mind, even if I like other things going forward... Glad you hear you're on the mend @eNDe! Hope it'll be a smooth ride back to full health. The irony is now I'm sick! I'm trying to keep warm and drinking lots of lemon honey though and not going into work! Haha, I always have a list too...but it's a slow process to catch up up since there's good stuff coming out all the time too. Haha to be honest, I got distracted and watched A Piece of Your Mind instead of either GAR or LJW's projects Actually I got distracted by A Piece of Your Mind because of DDSSLLS - others on this forum recommended it since I liked When the Weather is Fine so much and I watched the first episode and one of the main piano pieces played in the drama is Je Te Veux - the 'I Want You' song which Lala casually uses on Jun, causing the poor boy's heart to stop! The other reason I watched this drama is because I really love the female lead Chae Soon Bin - she's very cute, warm and has a wholesome feel and I'd also add her on the list for actresses I wouldn't mind LJW being paired with. In terms of the drama, A Piece of Your Mind has a bit of a draggy story and the storytelling logic and character motives go south towards the end? But a bit like DDSSLLS the main pair were cute. But I'll get back into my LJW/GAR catch up soon since I want to have seen all LJW's works before a new one comes out and GAR has lots of interesting projects that people refer to all the time. It was only so-so for me too. I actually can't believe the drama was popular enough for it to get the DVD made with cast commentary! I saw fan instagram photos of them sending flowers to the cast while they did commentary recording and I thought, This should have been DDSSLLS But sometimes life just gives you lemons. Let's hope that fate will bring our faves together again some day...They just look so good together :)
  18. Oh look guys Park Hyung Sik is considering a drama which sounds like it's about a covid-type dystopia. LOL. It does sound interesting though. I'd watch “Happiness” is an apocalyptic thriller that takes place in a time when infectious diseases have become the new normal. In a newly constructed apartment in a large city where the higher floors are up for general sales and the lower floors are rented out, the drama depicts the subtle psychological battle and the class discrimination that occurs. The city hits rock bottom when an impending apocalypse hits in the form of a new type of infectious disease in which people suffer from unabated thirst. “Happiness” will be helmed by producing director (PD) Ahn Gil Ho and writer Han Sang Woon, who worked on “Watcher” together.
  19. I agree with this. I mean, it was poor behaviour for sure, but I think he was making up for it in other dramas by being extra good to his co-stars - he seemed to get along with CLOY and Mr Queen casts. And you're right, there's so many other much more terrible things a person would do as a person in power/ with celebrity status that this seems small in the scheme of things. Yeah, I was surprised that this came from their text messages and Dispatch is not being sued or criticised - I mean that would involve either hacking or tapping into their phones...and I'm pretty sure they would not have consented to this. Also, they dug up messages from years ago? Well, I'm not one to easily believe in conspiracy theories, but I do think this idea makes some sense, (but still taking it with a grain of salt.) It is said that things like celebrity gossip often protect people like politicians and business people. Wouldn't be surprised if they help back things like Dispatch so that they can drop news when they need to distract the masses from bad political or business news I mean, this news seems old, though it's juicy coz both celebrities are big names now. It's either that, or that are a lot of media law and privacy law loopholes in Korea!
  20. LOL. Thanks, I appreciate YJG and his stick Don't think dirty, I only mean the baton in the gif I laughed sooooo hard at this. Oppas are like tax, must be transparent about them. I watched the first episode of Taxi Driver and damnnnn. Lee Je Hoon is on my Oppa list already. Adding him for April.
  21. Awww, you guys are my fave DDSSLLS family too! I'm glad we all chipped in to make the interview subs happen and we got it subbed fully. And now it's being appreciated by late fans of the series I really like these gifs made by that DDSSLLS account where she put GAR and LJW opposite each other. I guess they would have been looking across at each other in real life, but the video positioned them in a different format. Also Thanks @eNDe for your lovely well wishes! I love that everyone still checks in for DDSSLLS/ GAR and LJW news all the time! Looks like you jinxed it @Unnie0110 and now there's news about potential LJW project! I'm happy to hear LJW in a new project, though a tiny bit sad it's not with GAR again (though the chances were mighty slim.) I'm impressed that he's done it without an agency too though I guess he started out that way. I googled the actress and she's a super new rookie with only a side character role in School Nurse Files . I find that picture above unflattering but she seems cute in other pics (not as cute as GAR, of course!) Hong Sisters wrote Hotel Del Luna which I liked, but some of their other projects have been a mixed bag, so we'll see about story. It'll most likely be romance though seeing as almost all their stories have been romance and the casting news was a pairing rather than ensemble casting. TVN is a great channel though! It has been crazy in the K-Ent world recently! Scandal after scandal and lots of big dating revelations that's for sure! I never thought SYJ was a super good actress and wasn't a huge fan of that drama per say, but I thought she was really, really good in that role... but can't believe SYJ appears to be like her IOTNBO character Still I love that this article places all the similar aged actresses together and GAR is on the list This wishlist is such a dream @Unnie0110!!! I think I've told you before, but I'll say it again, your writing style is always so warm and cute! And I always enjoy reading what you write! My favourites from your list are number 3 because it would be fun to see Jun catch the flowers the same way the show started off and number 5 because I love their sweetness and really wanted to see their life together. Even without a wedding, it would have been lovely seeing a montage of them making mundane tasks cute and romantic and colourful the way they always did in the show This is also very good! I would love to see their home because it would be so warm and loving - and it would be nothing like Jun's soul-destroying home, but would be even more sweet than Lala's happy childhood home. Also I want to see their kitchen with those teacups they would share...and the bedroom where Jun would hold Lala every night TVN is a great channel - all the big popular shows come from there! Will you be watching if it seems to be romance @eNDe? I'm happy for LJW (though it's still not confirmed yet)...Hope GAR will be announcing something too! I miss them both together though!
  22. I am super happyyyyy and I can see so is @Tofu Or maybe I'm just relieved that if he's cast in stuff that agency departure was weird but hopefully all just bad communications. I don't mind this pairing either. The girl is a super new rookie who has only really been listed as a side character in School Nurse Files? I think that picture above is not super flattering but she looks cute in other pics: https://mydramalist.com/people/51787-park-hye-eun I also had to look up Hong sisters to see which projects they'd done before. I liked Hotel Del Luna and Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang. I never watched You're Beautiful, but I hate it for it's super toxic male lead. Never watched Big , but heard it was a flop also. Seems like a mixed bag - Any thoughts on the writers @mademoiselle? TVN shows seem to do well though! Yeah JBG was good but if he's innocent, I feel sad on him missing out on all this because of someone making scandals. Haha, I swear phone tapping/ hacking is not legal...but yeah, these messages were super toxic and it's so crazy that they seem to be real based on the agency's statements? I don't know why they'd be actors or date actors if they can't handle on screen skin ship. It's just part of the deal and if you trust your partner, you should know it's fake! Definitely don't think it's legal! But I guess Dispatch must have some loophole in the law to protect it or they're a media backed by powerful people...politicians using it to distract the masses? Hahaha it's not flattering especially when he is looking mighty fineeee in Taxi Driver I'll be watching! New crush = Lee Je Hoon, On-going crush = Lee Jae wook, both are in it....Both looking potentially unflattering
  23. I watched the first episode @abs-oluteM and I loved it. This is my kind of drama. I'm all for dramas/ films ft. high violence revenge against evil scumbags that escape corrupt systems. I guess it was telling that I would love this drama since my favourite film is Drive and this is giving me massive vibes - but in the opposite way. Ryan Gosling was a get away driver for criminals. Lee Je Hoon is capturing/hurting criminals. I'm also massively crushing on Lee Je Hoon. Will do a write up tomorrow since it's late now
  24. Hahaha you and I still beat some people at least Hahaha I hope I haven't set the bar too high and you hate it Most people I know have loved it - at least several of my friends. The few people on the internet who didn't like it have pretty much all said they don't like slice of life genre (But I think you like it!)
