    After that it only gets better. Ep.21 is titled We Can No Longer Go Back, yet at the end of the episode, NYS actually “went back” bringing TJ along with him 😃 How poetic... 🤔 I guess what’s more important is the ML really like her, no? Hahahaaa... Seriously though, she’s alright considering what she’s been through. I can understand where she is coming from. I’ve seen way more ridiculous FL. That’s one of the strong points of this drama. The characters are not perfect. You get so frustrated with some of their words and actions, but then you cannot bring yourself to hate them.

    Sometimes I think she is just a simple-minded practical person. If she were so money-loving, she would’ve agreed to DB being with SR who loves to pamper people with material gifts. Er... I would be happy to see a wedding at the end. I dare not hope to see honeymoon or baby. Happy family life, already happening now haha... She is soooo delusional. Holding on to a flirty praise from 22 yo YG. Other than him praising her looks and thinking she is his ideal woman, the rest of their interactions are fabricated by her. She couldn’t make up her mind. Or like you said, she wants a perfect family... or just greedy. If her main goal is to be next to Se Jong, she should’ve just watched herself and not cross the boundaries. Surely YG will keep her for the longest time at the house instead of finding a new butler Ms.Kim. Speaking of which, don’t you just love Ms.Kim? I love her detailed report to YG! LOLOL..:

    Finished!! This truly is a very very good drama. Realistically portrayed, and well directed and acted by the whole team. A word of warning.... prepare tissues for the finale ep.30. I will come back with more comments. So much to say.... I will be looking out for this director's work. I love the way the story is told. @Tofu come watch. You won't be disappointed or tortured. I promised you before, and I guarantee it now.

    Stupid!crazy!infuriating ep.38! If it isn't because I am too invested with the kids and our OTP, I would've dropped this drama already. But I guess that's how it is with family dramas, no matter how deranged the plot is, we somehow cannot stop watching it, LOLOL... Can you believe a young kid like SeChan could even note and state that locking up DD is a violation against humans rights?! I have nothing else to say about the episode...

    Thanks for the preview @abs-oluteM I teared up with just that short preview. I am all caught up to ep.28. Only 2 episodes left but there are still so many unsolved questions for me. I don’t know how it’s gonna wrap up 😞 So much happened but I didn’t have time to write down my thoughts and comments, because I just keep watching and watching, wanting to quickly know what happened next. . Will do that in these couple days on a rewatch.

    I never thought about it... LOL... coz first time I heard it, I feel that there is a tinge of uncertainty towards the end. Although the first part is definitely a good one to walk down the aisle. The best is of course to get the man himself come sing at the wedding 😃 His voice is just so amazing. I really don’t mind getting lost in it. In Chinese, it’s 陶醉當中 🥰😍

    Hahaha! I skip a good majority of the side characters because the main couple are the best thing about this drama. I should probably learn to watch dramas this way... I have only mastered the art of dropping dramas since a couple years ago. Already practicing the skipping scenes with one kdrama now. I shall come back to this when I can do it well!

    GOSH!!! Can some witches come and bring WDR and Sara back to witchland?! I truly truly despise them both now and I cannot see myself ever accepting their redemption going forward. Both are so childish and delusional that these should be a crime charged on them!! 😡😠😡😠😡 Great, starting next episode we’re going to see all the objections towards YG-DD from the seniors. About time. Hmm can I hope for Grandma maybe to support them? In the meantime, I will just continue to dream wishfully that PD-nim will delete scenes of WDR and Sara 😞

    Just finished!... Yeah, I'm gonna miss these two clowns too... I also like the way the story wrapped up. Once again, a charming 12-episode drama. I love the pacing here. A lot happened but all is accounted for. Love the new team too, be it for the pizza place, or at the police station.

    Since the finale falls on CNY day-1, I am going to assume it will be a happy ending 😃 Surely they’re not going to make people cry and curse on 1st day of CNY? 🤔😆

    Ep.21 took a very unexpected turn. Unless it’s the same as in the novel but I just didn’t get the spoilers... It’s that dreaded typical melodrama trope. Urgh, and one of the kdramas I am watching had that too, arrrrgggh... I feel like I am behind because ep.24 is already out (don’t mind me @abs-oluteM 😆 sorry, I know you’re still waiting for subs) but right now, I might watch this slowly. There are so much I want to comment on for ep.21 alone, that I will wait till I can write down my thoughts before moving on to ep.22 or else I will forget.

    Yes, I have wandered into Cdramaland... I checked out Lion’s Secret and I checked out Cupid’s Kitchen too... Sadly, I decided to drop Lion’s Secret after 8/9 episodes despite the two hot ML. I really like the story idea but cannot stand some of the executions/logic. Also I read some comments on how they felt about the ending. If I pick it up again, it will solely be to watch the ML’s mischief grin. Cupid’s Kitchen - love the story idea too, and especially love the food and the places that I have put Hang Zhou into my list of places to visit in China as well as taking note of the delicacies. However, the dubbing is soo bad that I really cannot get into the watching, especially on Elise. I want to hate her as we all should, but I just cannot take the character seriously. That’s why I decided to drop it as well. So... Hi~~ and Bye~~ 😆

    What grandma complained to the police was right ~ it is all because of their incompetencies of not hunting the actual murderer that's causing WC and IS to flee. They should be trying to catch the real killer instead of waiting around the house for WC and IS to come back. I too think it's so stupid that the stake-out is made so obvious *rolleyes* And they expect WC/IS to go back to the house? LOL... I appreciate that they still insert humour in this seemingly depressing drama. The hyung hugged the back-from-death guy and turned out that he's the one who's been helping hyung's wife and daughter. Hope they both can bring the real bad guy down. Again, the police is written as so incompetent here. They're asked to surround the doctor's house, but then they break into the house without permission?? Did they even bring a warrant?? Funny though, that the police officer is smitten by the young nun....

    Sometimes we trust based on credibility, and taking a little risk. Like when we appoint a lawyer to handle our case. We probably never had any chance of interacting with the lawyer before, only based on track record and word of recommendation... I dislike her decision for not communicating openly with the child’s father but it’s clear she doesn’t trust the Nie family because of what happened in the past, that will include NYS, maybe because she knows he would never be able to stand against his father? There are definitely a lot more walls need to be broken before she can trust NYS. One of the things I like about this drama is that we don’t have perfect people. Every character feel realistic. They not perfect. They have their flaws but at the same time we see their good points as well. Eg. the “husband”, urgh so many times I want to smack him, but I cannot deny that he does love PP genuinely.

    I hope we can quickly be told more about Mark’s arc. I won’t blame TJ for going to him though because since their first meeting at the bakery, he’s shown himself to be a smart, knowledgeable and kind person. Besides he has the resources that her close friends don’t, ie.money and connections. I think his personal story brings sick child of a single mother resonates with TJ too, making her able to trust him easier. Another reason why she doesn’t tell her close friends/neighbors I think is that she doesn’t want to burden them.

    Ep.20 made me shake my head so much at TJ... Immediately when the episode title "Run Away" appeared, I was already anxious going into the episode. I really cannot believe she actually did run away and hide. I was so upset at this decision of hers. What her BFF said about it's an easy matter for NDY to find her wherever she tried to hide is so true. Why can't TJ consider more carefully about that? I mean, the little boy just got discharged from the hospital. We don't know yet if there will be complications from surgery or not, and wouldn't he need to go back for some post surgery checkup? So if anything happen and PP requires medical help, where is she going to take PP to? Another hospital and see another doctor? What was she thinking?!! Sorry, but TJ is starting to get on my nerves with her stubbornness. Anyway, there are viewers who are speculating that the real mastermind behind all the misfortunes years ago could be that personal assistant of NDY. I see that NDY really has PP's welfare as priority. He was willing to not do anything and wait until PP is all well. I have marked him as very patriarchal person so I can understand why he would want PP to take up the Nie surname. He expressed that he doesn't want the kid to be affected but how can that be when he's trying to separate the little boy from his mother?? As for TJ, couldn't she see that PP is really happy being with his grandpa too? Shouldn't the kid has a right to know a loving grandpa? The old man might be dying anyway. I know it's more complicated in TJ's mind and perspective, and that's why this is a drama. It's a good drama of course because it made us viewers feel strongly about what's going on.

    So I guess we will get a sequel of their married life, right? Right? Right? Lovely ending and cute epilogue. Actually I believe the way they introduced themselves is closer to “Mr & Mrs Choi”... Too bad that cannot be caught in the English translation. I can’t watch 😭 Anyone know where else to find?

    @Linnie Welcome to JangHaven!! You’re definitely not the minority. I also feel that TJ is being too cruel towards NYS, especially given that their son’s life is at stake. The guy had no clue about the incident. It was unfair to rob him of knowing PP. Besides, what PP has is not any mild illness. NYS already mentioned that at 10 yo, it will be another major critical time for him to go through. It’s like she’s gambling on PP’s life. I feel that yes she was wronged by NYS’s father but not by NYS himself. I can understand her fear of her son being taken away from her by the grandfather. You’re right though that she puts her pride and anger/hurt above the child’s well-being. If I were in the situation, I’d rather find the rich family and strike a deal (double custody, whatever) and get them to pay for the expensive surgery. Tbh, if the only way to save my child’s life is to give him up to the other biological family he has, I would probably have done so too 😔 That’s why I like that Vicky reminded her in ep.16 that whether TJ still love or no longer love NYS, to just stop hurting him because he is an especially good person who deserves to be treated kindly. I also love the title of ep.17, and when NYS reminded TJ that their relationship is not as the children of enemies, but as the parents of PP. Very wise.
