  1. Ep.13 - Where does anxiety comes from? - The museum staff did not disappoint. I had guessed so, but can't help still feeling anxious until they said it out loud. I agree with Dali that it is very difficult to refuse such good offers. And the rare times that the police force of a kdrama did not disappoint too. - Poor MH, missing his meals because of worrying about what Dali might do. He got a trial application with the balm and am I glad his secretary did not apply it on his lips, LOL... - Tears when from the bus Dali was looking at the little boy imagining MH's younger days filled with hardships. - Watching this episode indeed made me anxious, just as the title of it says. We don't know what Dali's decision is after all that she's been through these couple days, what's going through her mind. I am pleased once again our OTP did not fail us in their love and devotion towards each other. Love that it's Dali again who initiated the kiss to anxious MH. Love her declaration to correct the nature of their relationship.
  2. Of course he does... he loves her so much! Gah, I feel so conflicted. I want to root for their love because it seems so poignant but I can’t bring myself to do so because of what and how it happened. It’s probably good that they made HJ such an unlikable person, otherwise I would go rooting for a forbidden relationship yet again, LOL... If only HJ is more honest with her feelings and decisive with what exactly she wants. This applies for WJ and HW as well. I hate seeing how they’re still going around the crux of the matter so cryptically. Someone please just spell it out and address the problem already...!! Man, this show is so frustrating for the mental health and mind, yet it’s so addictive that I cannot pull myself out. I feel bad for everybody. Totally agree with your tweet above @abs-oluteM 😅😆
  3. I forgot to mention the batteries are cute too! Remind me to get some of these batteries when I go visit Japan next time, whenever that will be, LOL...
  4. I just finished first episode. Cute, cute... will continue! Am surprised they get to live in such big house in Japan. Wonder which city the drama is set in. I like the office building of Morris Design too. So quaint. The ML does remind me of someone, but not Seo Kang Joon. It was towards the end of the episode that I finally could think of who. It’s the little boy in Kdrama Mine, also as the little boy in Parasite. I’ll post a clip of him when I find one later. You may not see the resemblance if only through pictures.
  5. He’s proven he is number one swordsman and already won: That day he got slashed was because he respected the guest and Dam-i didn’t give any order to hit Anyway, Dam-i took care of the big bad boss, so they’re not coming back 😁 Yeah, I didn’t expect much because he is a newbie anyway. But who knows if more and more interest arose for him, we might see an interview later on. We’re not even halfway through the drama 😉 Anyway, any thoughts about that one guy among the ministers whom the camera keep panning to? Is that Hyun’s brother? What will his role be because the camera keep making sure that we see a reaction from him...
  6. O gosh, now I remembered why I am more free this week. Two of my November dramas have not started 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m gonna be so swamped with dramas again 😅
  7. @LaLa This came up in my Netflix recommendation, and I want to watch it despite not having heard anything before this. So I am glad you made a thread for it. I’ll be back after I start watching.
  8. Thanks for the tag @Alice Wonderland Interestingly I just finished watching first episode of an old Japanese drama from 2014, I’m Taking The Day Off. It just randomly got featured on my Netflix and the trailer looked interesting so I started 😆 This one is good? My source (Chinese subs) has till ep.3 already. How many episode will this be?
  9. Who cares... My cutie pie so handsome Waiting patiently for Choi Byung Chan’s turn....
  10. Me too... wait, it’s me four, haha... I will gladly do this favor for Dali but I believe she is capable to do that herself.
  11. Same thought here... I disapprove the choice of his top I think it could be the same reason for the delay of Red Sleeve Cuff? Wanting the premiere date to be free of competition against the finale of other dramas...? Although I have not try to find out and identify which drama that could be...
  12. I agree... and I'm still waiting for the explanation why her assistant is so loyal to her. What's the story between them? One sided love/crush? Coz I've never seen her shown any benevolence to him.... I'm fine with them putting foundation/powder because the lighting can produce better effect then. I'm really fine with lipstick on male actors too. But they should choose a different shade for a male. Here, it's like they make him share lipstick with Lee Honey... Honest, I've never been this bothered by make-up on male actors before... and that was done outside of S.Korea, mind you... ironic since S.Korea supposedly is the place for best plastic surgeries. The challenge in having a character have a total face change is to find the cast with a similar voice. I mean, you can change the look, but your voice can't change that much, can it?
  13. Gosh, it felt so good seeing Dam-i punched that Ming Chief Eunuch until his mouth was bloody! But I know that action has dire consequences for her And how dare he ordered his fighter to hurt my pretty bodyguard?! Anyway, I am glad that was settled well. I teared up when Dam-i was brushing Court Lady's hair, and then when she sincerely apologised to the Chief Eunuch for the hardships he had to endure growing up. Whoaaaa, that ending of ep.8 though!!
  14. Thanks for the heads up.... I haven't even watched last night's episode yet because there were still things I needed to take care of. No handsome PA helping me in RL lah... I shall have double dose of Affection tonight
  15. Same here. Still enjoy the drama but not compelled to comment much on it. I also think the romance part isn’t that captivating. I will be fine without it also. Not feeling the chemistry, tbh. My only complain still is the make up and lipstick on LSY is too much, that my viewing pleasure is often distracted by it.
  16. I agree that de-escalating the situation and not arguing is best from the rangers side, but I am just angry that the villagers blamed them when they shouldn’t have been there. Some areas are off limits for a reason, because they’re dangerous, be there a bomb or not. Having said that, I was surprised the boss was the one to take the responsibility and resigned. Salute! I thought he would ask either SYG or KHJ to take the blame.
  17. I am caught up with all 4 episodes... just a quick comment first about latest case before I go back-reading... I don't understand how the potato bomb incident become the fault of the Rangers office?? That place is off limit to the public. The couple shouldn't have been there in the first place, not to mention the purpose of them being there. They should be fined, yet the wife and the villagers fault the rangers for the bomb accident?
  18. Yeah, I finally can start on this drama. Tbh, I wasn’t anticipating the drama too much because the plot doesn’t sound that interesting to me. But the pilot episode was done really well and I immediately know without a doubt that this is a keeper. The search and rescue scenes are done in good balance (without overdoing it) that the tension and urgency felt real in the midst of natural obstacles. Especially love all the breathtaking sceneries of the mountains we get to see at the opening. Love all the cast too! Let me quickly catch up and back read on the posts before joining the discussion here.
  19. @abs-oluteM I finished Moebius. It's worth the watch for Seo Soo Yeon and Jang Chun Woo's story. We get to see Oh Kyung Seok too, and how he helped SSY before he joined Han Ji Hyuk's team. However, don't expect any connection with main drama. This really is just a spin-off. I still have minor rants about the way SSY is written, but no big deal. I can't help but still lament the what-if's for the main drama. It has potential and could've been a good drama maybe if done with a slightly different way of story-telling.
  20. For Korean, it’s better to use Naver Papago. But yes, even using that, the English translation is sooo difficult to read. I used the Chinese translation and understood it better haha...
  21. Since both novel and drama have someone dying in the end, the person killed shouldn't be different though....? That will be quite a major deviation... Actually, the background story of the two ladies in the drama is already different from the novel. Not too much is said in the review about other things. Quite a short one. It's below in Korean in case any of you interested. But beware, there is that major spoiler about who died. https://m.blog.naver.com/heeya1980s/162160679
  22. It was another good episode. Se Chan is the MVP in this episode. Smart boy... SPOILERS AHEAD.... He saw his grandmother plant the diamond necklace in DD's room, but he claimed that he was the one who found it and put it there because he doesn't want to out his grandmother after all. Later on, he "punished" the grandma by putting snake toys under her blanket. He did come clean with YG though that the reason he lied earlier was because he doesn't want grandma to be ashamed, but his heart couldn't just let his grandma off like that, thus the snake toys. Shameless Sara even had the audacity to lecture him on how lying is so wrong. Tsk, tsk, tsk... who is the adult here?? This part about Se Chan is one of the best scenes today. I teared up when Se Chan was telling YG what's in his mind. I want to hug him. Another scene I teared up was the reunion of DD's father with his sister. It was a touching scene to see them reunited. His noona is quick to take favour on DB though, keep saying he looks like his father. If only she knew, lol... She didn't really pay much attention to DD. And.... we have a confession!!... albeit a drunken one, haha... LOL at the preview for next week. The grandma is going to keep the pretence of being senile so that she can continue to "torture" DD into leaving the family without having to be held responsible for her ridiculous actions.
  23. This drama is based on a best-selling novel. I kinda read the review of the novel, and got spoiled about who HJ killed...
  24. I enjoyed ep.11 too. I think their feelings for each other would be established quite early, and then the major plot of the remaining episode is of them overcoming all the separation attempts by people around them, including the amnesia card. I am actually quite invested in the development of their arc. Both have a lot of maturing to do, and I like seeing that because of their love, they have found that motivation to grow themselves. I was not surprised with SR's answer because money has always come easy for her. I am happy to see that DB has the pride not to live off her, but make something of himself. And just a random thought, I think the actress of SR is really pretty.
  25. There are people who sing it praises after praises, saying it’s the best drama of the year. I am not one of them. I would say just give it a few episodes try, and do share your views here. I’d like to know if I missed something that made me unable to enjoy it fully.
