Life

Born Jeong Yong Jun, he spent most of his childhood in his birthplace, Busan before debuting in 1997 as an actor in a television drama under his stage name Jang Hyuk. In 2002, he started to date, Kim Yeo Jin. After meeting in a fitness club which, Kim was his Pilates Instructor. They later on got married in 2008. The couple have two sons and a daughter born in February 2008, November 2009 and April 2015 respectively. On the other hand, he also practiced Jeet Kune Do for more than 10 years and he is also a former Taekwando athlete.

 

Career

Jang Hyuk's career first began to take off in 2001, when he stared in a special-effects extravaganza Volcano High with actress Shin Min-a. His role drew praise from fans and from critics. Later on, in the same year, he stared in Jungle Juice which made the top of the weekly box-office. After doing several projects, he later on began to serve his two year military which he was discharged in 2006. Ever since then, Jang Hyuk continues to participate in numerous projects and his rise to fame continues on till this day.
