  1. @peperomia @mademoiselle I didn't see that break up coming. I feel like this is a recurring theme in this show. Just like Haneul wondering how long happiness will last , it feels like the drama needs to prove that point in every episode. Make you happy & laugh your head off, then smack you with harsh reality. But truth is, till HaNeul addresses these issues / baggages, it would be hard to have a healthy thriving relationship. I think she has to be able to be transparent with JW, especially regarding Kyung Min. JW needs to know what a jerk this Kyung Min is.
  2. I came here because I like Wang Xing Yue after seeing him in a supporting role in Amidst A Snowstorm of Love. I am currently watching Scent of Time. He's got this presence to him that is pretty admirable for someone his age. I know here he is the 2nd lead...how is his screen time?
  3. @Chocolate Thanks for the experiment. I have always wondered myself if one could win anything from those mystery boxes. @Tofu did those boxes come with the system (the shop) or was it something Soju coded? I think I have a little bit of crush on Wang Xing Yue who played Meng Xiao Dong in the Snowstorm show (he was FL's brother) . But oh man , this ge-ge or more like di-di is just 21 ...though I swear he gives off an older vibe. I am currently trying to watch this . He does have a nice look for historical shows. https://mydramalist.com/705969-xi-qian-hua Also , it's quite an angsty & has hints of forbidden love. Very slowburn Let's see if this is a one hit wonder for me just like dearest Elvis Han
  4. She still died at his table, so I am not sure if that would remove the PTSD. But at least I think he can forgive himself. He's not guilty of malpractice . What was quite sad was that he realised how little real friends and genuine support he has. Dating era is here
  5. I was surprised too that the case resolved as quickly as it did @mademoiselle. But I think the next half will likely focus on how they’d rebuild their careers? JW will have to start from scratch right ? And still has debts to settle. She still hasn’t gone back to work & will need to find a hospital/ clinic that can overlook her outburst . I am certainly hoping that they will somehow work for Yoon Park’s clinic.
  6. Looking forward to more progress regarding his case. Oh so he'll meet the anesthetist that ran away.
  7. I am planning to watch this. Hahahahah my oppa love Park Sung Hoon is here too...but is he the third wheel ? Villain? Kim Ji Won's character is such an ice queen ...I already feel bad for Kim Soo Hyun
  8. @mademoiselle @NiteWalker @Chocolate I am done. Thank god for 1.5 speed . I think the pairing is visually pleasing and had sweet chemistry. Those who like this show liked it because it was a low conflict / fluffy drama. (But that made it a bit too bland for me. ) Some comments I read said this is a sanitary version of the show. Hahahah. I know that push pull was supposed to tease of sexual tension, but that didn't translate well. It often came across as if she was fending off his advances. But I just attribute it to her being shy and him being a hot blooded young man. I didn't mind the PDA but throughout 30 episodes if felt like they never left the honeymoon period because they are constantly looking at each other with googly eyes. ....so much so I felt like the third wheel watching this show. And man, with so much skin ship, how come their kisses never improve? LOL Some arcs they could have developed further to create more tension and excitement included the bromance between these 3 ( definitely nice looking trio ) , the side romance between Meng Xiao Dong and Lin Lin, a bit more resistance from her mother, and a more difficult journey returning to being pro. Anyway, I think this was an ok watch but not one that I would go and rewatch. I do agree that LeiLei's talent is so completely underutilized here. In that new drama you posted @mademoiselle, he plays a moody guy again. Don't know if it's confirmed but I thought he was supposed to do Nirvana on Fire S3?
  9. I am dying here. Who shows this sort of personal videos in an international tournament? Even if this is a drama . My cringe level can no longer be measured now. ok confirmed seal the deal then in ep 22 😄. This was in eps 26 . I’m sure Yin Guo knows making out can’t get you preggers . So funny , a lot of comments was like when did they do it ? 🤣🤣. Apparently in the book they were active like rabbits .
  10. I am assuming in eps 22 they seal the deal @Mizv @mademoiselle But I felt like I was being trolled about that whole Titanic thing. Yin Guo must have watched a very different version of the show Bahhaahha...I think I can tolerate the skinship ...partly because I like this pairing. I wasn't so into his pairing in that tennis show too @Mizv. I am not a fan of noona romance especially if the romance plays off the age difference. I think what makes me cringe more here is all the cheesy lines that everyone says to each other.
  11. You are so right about this....suddenly the focus is on another killer (LHJ). I am actually at episode 7 and it feels like I am watching a completely unrelated drama with the only link being RohBin. If this show was a pure procedural where SSK's character is the central character, then I think it is alright that they spend so much screen time on LHJ. But here CWS's character is the reason for the title of this drama...shouldn't they zero in on his journey and his development?
  12. I think the story telling in Shadow Detective & even A Shop for Killers is abit more sophisticated. That said, this is still not bad though I don't know if the show is trying to angle this more as a super hero drama? The RohBin hacker seems to see his ability as "gift" . Over the 4 episodes that I have watched , it's switched from manslaughter/ murder that was born out of anger to a vigilante cause? It feels like the drama is trying to justify that this is his life's calling to kill these criminals since the urge for him to dirty his hands only appears when he encounters them.
  13. Does anyone know why Lei Lei & the actor playing Meng XD went on stage in the 20th minute? What award did they get for this show?
  14. @Chocolate You can watch it at 1.5 speed. @Tofu this is the Hello Saturday episode right? The interesting part is in the 20th minute when they asked each other questions to make their hearts race. Hahahah you can tell how shy she was. @mademoiselle I quite like Lei Lei's hair like this.
  15. So far no. I am only watching the interviews with the leads together. He's really chatty
  16. He's actually very slim and agree about the lack of broad shoulders.
  17. I watched the 1st episode, and think it's decent enough for me to continue. SSK's detective instincts will make this an interesting cat & mouse game.
  18. Cute interview. Lei Lei feels more chatty than his character 🤣🤣
  19. Handsome! I also enjoy watching him here as he's got this cool aloof charisma. I can't remember where else I have seen him. But at least his side romance ( reunion with 3 times ex) will be fun to watch. Most of the supporting males in this show is not too bad looking. Eye-candy :D
  20. @mademoiselle I just finished episode 18. The central conflict of the show is finally here ! Yay...ahahahahaah...I mean I was very curious how this relationship would survive the real test , and so far there's already drama and no one in her family has yet to know they are dating. Actually YY's character is not as perfect as it seems and I am glad. Because it would seem ridiculous that he does all these crazy things in the name of love , is an ace player, has good business sense, and still be human. At least we know he had a terrible temper while growing up & even now tends to do things based on emotions ( at least from time to time). I just thought that apology scene to her mum was ill-timed. But I guess it makes it more fun now since this is the first time that the leads have gotten mad (or at least she did) at each other. ...I swear I live for angst & conflict!
  21. I just completed Big Bet S2 which was pretty good. So now I can start this. I can't say I am a big CWS fan ( though I loved Our Beloved Summer) - am definitely watching this for SSK.
  22. Was I ? LSK cameo was so good. I love it that it that she was the 3rd ranked student , so everyone there was so competitive and it tied in so nicely with their past. I don't know ...but I think given everything that is going on in their lives , I kind of like that they are taking things slowly. Anyhow , given that they tend to turn to each other first when faced with a crisis or something good, there's already a lot of support and care there to help them deal with their current situations.
  23. It doesn't seem so. But looks like HaNeul finally found the one in his room! Another good episode with some sincere conversations between the leads. I think why kdramas somehow do better in the romance department for me ( at least the modern day ones) compared to cdramas (with exceptions) is that the conversations feel like actual conversations rather than trying to fill the audience in on the plot and the story. And definitely less cringey . Like even when the leads let each other know what they are going through or how they feel about the other person, some things are left unsaid and it doesn't go overboard. At this point , I am very appreciative that HN and JW have been quite transparent about their feelings and their personal struggles. JW , especially needed someone to tell him that he should seek professional help, and I am glad HN encouraged him to do so. JW's initial response is quite normal - I know it is still hard for people to go for counselling for mental health issues or to even admit they need help that way. So I am glad he changed his mind the next day and went to see a psychiatrist. I am itching for more of Dr Origami scenes with Hong Ran. They are so cute and started off in the most hilarious way. Considering how defensive he is of JW, I would like to see why he has such a soft spot for the latter. Wonder when will they cross path?
