  1. Anyone started this yet? I noticed all 8 episodes are available on NF. I have 4 more episodes of Big Bet S2 to finish before I start this. Coincidentally SSK is cop there and here :D
  2. I love episode 5. For a couple who's not yet a couple , they sure go on many trips don't they ? . The show is doing well balancing the funny & tropey moments with some heartfelt conversations and narrations. It doesn't get to sappy but just enough for you to remember these are the lowest moments in their lives. I just think this is what they both need the most - to be away from all the expectations that have been put on them. Both providing comfort to each other - the sort of understanding and encouragement only someone in a similar predicament and situation can give. It was so funny and embarrassing when her entire family heard asking Jung Woo if he liked her, only to be rejected. And I am glad that JW told her at the end that he just couldn't be open to her because of he cannot afford to be or rather should not be happy. I was angry that Kyung Min put that thought in his head. That so called hyung is like a big red flag that I hope JW can spot soon. Anyway, it was good she realised that he's got PTSD. JW always puts up this happy go lucky front that I don't think he realises he needs to deal with this. And bonus was having Dr Origami/ Insect Catcher meet subscriber #6. So cute - look forward to more of their interactions. Hahahah LSK is his ex.
  3. Lei Lei , for you , I will persevere through all the cringy lines & snail pace 🤣🤣 @mademoiselle sorry I just realised now what you mean by seal the deal. I thought you meant if they had become a couple. 🤣🤣. I don’t think our boy here has been able to hit the home run despite her Titanic suggestions . I’m crying 😂
  4. Happy Lunar New Year ! 🧧 ❤️
  5. @mademoiselle Wahhh thanks @ssteph for this juicy information. I knew there were a lot of JHI and Jisoo shippers...I confess I laughed when it was revealed who she was dating.
  6. yes they seal the deal quite fast....many episodes of skinship...so much so I'm dying ...but the real story / conflict starts once they separate. The first half is just to lull you into thinking it's all nice & rosie. Yes she's very shy ahahahaah. He's got to reign his hormones in
  7. @mademoiselle watch it at 1.5 speed ...or skip to eps 13 & 14 where more of his backstory gets told.
  8. @Tofu @mademoiselle So I think the chances for S2 is high...I am still annoyed as we could have wrapped up S1 better. I was most sad for Honda's death...
  9. First love .... vs husband I think we can guess where this is headed ... New Year greeting Script reading
  10. So I think the drama will enter the next phase from tonight eps 15 as they will have to do this long distance since she returns to China.
  11. Yes....these cdramas have such cheesy lines that I feel somewhat embarrassed to be hearing them . Anyway, the show is still at snail pace. It's like they really want to give a minute by minute account of the leads newly minted relationship. Fair enough that this is the honeymoon period so both are completely enamored and would do anything for the other. But I need the main conflict of the show to present itself soon or the ending is gonna be a rushed unsatisfying one. Main conflict being him overcoming his past & returning to play professionally , and the other being how her parents would feel about him. There is plenty of skinship and our boy here is all ready for them to take things to the next level. But she dodges each time and he senses it. So he pulls back. . Don't get me wrong - I think it's okay that she isn't ready for further physical intimacy but she likes to be hugged and cuddled, and keeps sending these looks of great admiration & affection. Men are wired differently. Let's just say that poor fella needs to have plenty of self control , lol! Plus, he's not the sort who says alot - tends to keep things inside him. I think she is sensing a wee bit of challenge getting this conversational killer to say more. His love language I feel, is touch and acts of service.
  12. @abs-oluteM You know that boy you adopted, what's his name... Bae Hyun Sung actually gives out Park Bo Gum's vibe? Both are the sunny, good boy type. Is Cha Eun Woo also not your type? Because Eun Woo is even prettier than Bo Gum. Hahahah...BHS has that milky skin - fairer than me. PBG is most definitely the prettier one of the two. I think BHS just happens to choose roles that I like him in , hence he got adopted. CEW is not my type either. I think @JenL is quite right...the oppas that get the stronger love are those that seem a little rough around the edges , look wise.
  13. I am not a PBG fan. Nothing against him but his pretty-ness does nothing for me. I think he's too pretty , and not quite my type. But then again , I don't even know if I have a type. On the other hand, I am quite intrigued with the pairing of Jung Hae In and JSM.
  14. @mademoiselle Yes, they must be planning for a S2. ( On Naver Chat, I saw some comments that it is supposedly airing in March) So annoying. I really wanted to know how he stayed alive....Bale is he even dead? After all that waiting , and they give this halfhearted ending. To be fair, there was a lot I liked in eps 7 as it completed the story telling - we saw how they killed JinMan's family and how he got this entire shopping mall thing set up including the few that he has recruited. Then episode 8 was torturing me no end since we came back to the present, and I kept checking the time to see how many minutes we had left. I guess the purpose of this was so that we see JiAn get a taste of blood as she avenged her parents. [I must say I was impressed to see that Jin Man's immaculate planning even included a clean up crew for the bodies.]
  15. Interview on Screen Rant...I was hoping for some hints / spoilers of the finale. But there was none. Please be alive Jeong Jin Man
  16. Did not expect PSH to be such good friends with Hyeri. From this video, it feels like the real life personalities of the leads are very similar to the ones in the drama. PHS is just as animated and PSH has this reservedness to her. They appeared in Hyeri's YT talk show to promote the drama
  17. @JenL I’m gonna post this here . Character trailers look good.
  18. Yeah...too long. 24 would probably be perfect. But I have persevered through Wu Lei's tennis drama hahaahha ...so I am sure I will have the capacity to finish this
  19. @mademoiselle @peperomia Oh my ...don't tell me the friend has been sabotaging him all this while. That so called anesthetist (Dr Kang) must have been paid by the friend . Arrgh. TBH the pens were pretty visible right? Yes 100%. Just as I was laughing my head off , the drama reigns you in to reality - perhaps helping us to experience what the characters are feeling. That in spite of the momentary fun they are having, they still have plenty of black clouds over them. Anyway , I do love the development between the leads so far...their lives crossed at the right point when they most needed someone who could understand their predicaments. I was surprised that Dr Origami was a single dad. I guess that could be a good common ground for him and Hong Ran who also has a son.
  20. I can't remember which episode now but even she wondered why all they did was eat . But then in a separate scene, he kind of talked to his friend about it. The reason why he constantly took her out for meals was because growing up poor ( he's an orphan & his younger bro has been adopted ) , eating well was a luxury. So I do think that these constant dates with food was intentional. My likely issue with this show is that the storyline doesn't justify 36 episodes. The romance as I suspected will be that which brings him back to the world where he once belonged in. I am at the point where the ship has sailed and she is about to go for her competition. But this also means that they will be separated & have to continue long distance once her competition is done. I am guessing that he will return to China.
  21. Finland ! @Tofu story wise I don’t think there will be a lot going for it. Frankly I’m just enjoying the pairing but I’m not sure if this will charm me for 36 episodes. However this style of storytelling reminds me of Bright Eyes in The Dark - the romance is set first & the leads come together quickly but all the challenges & conflict will surface later .
  22. Very surprised how things turned out with the brother ( her cousin bro to exact). I was expecting some big drama but it turned out, bro has much respect for LYY and regrets that LYY gave up his pro career. In fact the bro somewhat gave his blessings for her to "marry" the man . LOL. He just wants LYY to return and compete. Anyway @mademoiselle @Chocolate LYY give off Ling Buyi's vibes for sure. Not only a conversational killer but shows his affections with deeds more than words. BUT man, he is so intense!!! On one hand those stares can be seen as very romantic but it could also be borderline creepy . Fortunately , she likes him. So those hearts shooting out from his eyes are seen in such positive light. Not sure which episode you guys are at, but all their close encounters are also cute, awkward , intense - I don't even know how to put it in words. All I know is that Yin Guo is a sweet and reserved girl , so she's completely giddy. Haahahah how is she ever gonna concentrate on her competition :D ?
  23. It really is and I love it. It was the bit where he asked her if she had a bf and if she realised that he was pursuing her. He was pretty much laying his heart and intentions out ...something I appreciated because it was just the right timing. I know she was speechless since it caught her by surprise but both have been sending out very positive signals and vibes. It was a matter of time. So when she gathered herself and asked him out for a meal - that was all that he needed to hear. The thing about this romance is that it really is very akin to real life. It isn't sizzling hot or filled with sexual tension but there's something very sweet about it. I am finding myself giggling as we watch these two awkward cuties feel each other out, exchange texts , go for meals and pretty much respond very positively to one another. These giddy feelings of early love is really well done and carried out nicely by the leads. Am not looking forward to the drama that will ensue when her brother comes to see her. But meanwhile I will just enjoy their awkward but sweet moments .
  24. I can't say this enough, but Park Hyung Sik is a real natural when it comes to comedy. He's perfected the art of being conceited and cocky, but you can never dislike him. And although I sometimes feel PSH tends to have very similar facial expressions in some of her roles, somehow it works to her advantage here. I loved that in eps 3 there's growth in their relationship that has progressed from "former classmates" to friends. I don't know how the writer/ PD does it , but here I am cracking up over the funny lighthearted moments, and then it gets quite emotional the next minute. While I think I relate more to her struggles, Jeong Woo's troubles and predicament are worse. If the trial doesn't go his way, he's really never gonna be able to practise again and may go to jail. It doesn't help that he has a mother who has such high expectations of him & who doesn't seem to be genuinely concerned about him. In her case, even though she was ill treated at her previous workplace, it's not a career-ending situation. Plus she has a crazy but supportive family ( though unemployed brother needs to get a smack for not doing anything). And oh....Yoon Park doing origami with blankets!!! .. we need more of his screen time please. And I am looking forward to his interaction with subscriber #6 Pre-released - This guy can be so full of himself
