  1. Ladies, look at his character description! Hahahahah too perfect
  2. Script Reading! Jang Seung Jo looks really thin here. From MDL: Actress Kim Ha Neul plays Seo Jung Won, a famous journalist with a strong sense of justice who believes in the people's right to know. She is a woman who fights the challenges that come her way. Yeon Woo Jin plays Kim Tae Heon, the ace detective of the violent crimes unit. Kim Tae Heon is strong yet has a boyish charm to him. Jang Seung Jo plays the role of Seol Woo Jae, a second-generation chaebol and Seo Jung Won's husband. Not to be fooled by his warm smile, Jang Seung Jo has a dark side to him. Veteran actors Jung Woong In, Yoon Je Moon, Han Chae Ah, Jung In Ki, and Kim Min Jae delivered passionate performances at the script reading. After the script reading concluded, actress Kim Ha Neul commented, "I felt like the chemistry was stronger because the characters I had only envisioned came to life and [actors] acted together." Yeon Woo Jin said, "I feel like I've read a mystery novel." Jang Seung Jo shared his excitement, stating, "It seems like it will be fun to finish reading the script. I will work hard to prepare well." Let's Get Caught by the Neck is scheduled to premiere in March. It will take over the time slot of Love Song for Illusion.
  3. I think all my oppa loves are gonna have facial hair this season..am not a fan too but oh well
  4. Yup ...but it will be an interesting role for him
  5. I will see if either @Tofu or @SilverMoonTea will open. If not , I will do it later. What a great cast...quite excited! What about this ? Will you watch @mademoiselle? https://mydramalist.com/720329-the-queen-woo/cast I think I will...
  6. Did @JenL watch Hometown CCC? Or RacketBoys? OOhhhh I get you! This happens to me too. Then this will not be a strong adoption if his next drama character is not so great.
  7. Xiong Ji??? Hahahah. Funny thing is that when I met up with @Tofu last year when she came to KL, I had to keep remembering to call her by her actual name . @JenL I watched most of the dramas airing during the weekend in the last 2 months , and the story which resonated most with me was Welcome to Samdalri. Plot wise, there's nothing new or even out of the ordinary. But it is written pretty well especially the conversations. This writer has the knack for writing shows that make me cry a river ( Hi Bye Mama, Go Back Couple). Plus the cast is just solid. So if you are looking for a heartwarming slice of life, this is recommended. @Chocolate I am hoping for better dramas for Elvis Han but if he keeps doing these republican shows, he's never gonna get adopted . I have suffered worse for oppas I love, but these propaganda filled republican era shows are not easy to stomach. His upcoming work is also same genre and he is not even the main lead https://mydramalist.com/753455-shou-hu-zhe-men @SilverMoonTea I guess Na In Woo will be first adoption of 2024?
  8. I was wondering if he learned something from that Demon book...like you know somehow made a deal with that beggar lady or he's able to acquire some abilities, though after reading what @ktcjdrama said, that may be a more logical explanation. . What I am very curious is the reason for the deal between GuWon and the father. I have a feeling it was something related to DoHee, as in it was to save her? But that would make it even more tragic for DoHee. For the longest time I was wondering why GuWon never felt any "remorse" or even a tad bit of discomfort that he had lead DH's father to his death. And the explanation that it was because he had forgotten. That felt a bit weak and too convenient (writing wise). Does he even forget anything given his powers? Did he not make some sort of connection seeing how influential Mirae Group is and who Madam Ju was?
  9. Me too. Right till the end! What I felt really changed YP's dad's mind is the fact that both omma and Sam Dal refused to be guilted by him any more. For me , it is impossible to change how someone thinks or feels especially in this case. But you don't have to let them control you. Mum and SD's concerted effort to just push through and break the father's wall made all the difference. So glad they didn't leave this till the end as YP and SD needs a nice wedding.
  10. I went to NZ and came back cured! I'm also not paying $200+ to stand! 😅 So the love has died down a little? Completely? @JenL I just finished Death's Game too and that was such a good show. Jae Wook was great and even in prisoner's clothes , he was charismatic and handsome. Actually I love all the actors they chose - pretty perfect for their respective roles. @SilverMoonTea @mademoiselle I am not watching Marry My Husband yet, no time. I need to keep some time for my Wu Lei . @Tofu says the airing date of his new drama will be soon.
  11. No guesses who is playing the villain here...and why must there be a love triangle? I think what is worst is that I love both oppas a lot...I don't want to have to choose. LOL. I hope they just focus more on the crime aspect. A more detailed synopsis from Naver : Source Kim Ha-neul plays the role of Seo Jeong-won, a 'professional killer' reporter who travels all over the field in the play. When it comes to scoops, she is a reporter who catches bad guys by the collar without any hesitation, giving viewers a vicarious satisfaction like cider. Seo Jeong-won is expected to raise the heart rate with unpredictable developments, such as becoming entangled in a love triangle with her ex-boyfriend Kim Tae-heon (played by Yeon Woo-jin) and her husband Seol Woo-jae (played by Jang Seung-jo) through a mysterious murder case. Expectations are high for a new transformation from Kim Ha-neul, who has shown a wide acting spectrum in numerous works such as 'Kill Hill', '18 Again', 'The Wind Blows', and 'On the Way to the Airport'. Yeon Woo-jin, who has created a variety of life characters for each role he has played, such as 'Morning Comes Even in the Psychiatric Ward', '30, 9', 'Let Me Hear Your Song', and 'The Judge', plays the role of Kim Tae-heon, a detective who handcuffs bad guys in the play. divided into . Although he speaks with a snarky tone, he is a person with a natural passionate temperament in his actions. As he meets Seo Jeong-won, whom he loved passionately but has now become part of his past, through a murder case, his mind begins to swirl. Yeon Woo-jin, who predicted a complete transformation as Kim Tae-heon, is looking forward to another breakthrough as a life-changing character. Jang Seung-jo plays the character of Seol Woo-jae, a second-generation chaebol novelist and the husband of Seo Jeong-won. Seol Woo-jae is a character who looks perfect on the outside, but his heart is infinitely empty and dark inside. He always believed that he would live a stable life with his wife, but cracks begin to appear due to a series of events. Jang Seung-jo, who perfectly digests genres such as 'Model Detective', 'Can I Become a Stranger', and 'Lee Jae, I'll Die Soon' and portrays character narratives in a more attractive way, is immersed in the play with his deep melodious eyes and delicate acting skills. There are plans to add more.
  12. What an excellent drama this was. I loved how Yee Jae was able to give Park Tae U the ultimate punishment through both Kim Jae Wook & Oh Jung Se. But still, we knew that this wasn't the point of him going through the 12 deaths. It took him to be in omma's shoes to finally fully understand why his suicide did not end his pain since it brought this grief that will never go away for his mother. With regards to the ending: There was no doubt that they chose a solid ensemble cast and I loved all the actors we saw. However, I think SeoInGuk and his omma Kim Mi Kyung really brought it home for me in the final episode. Who knew I'd be so touched by this fantasy show.
  13. I think he's a nice guy , but no SLS whatsoever from me. It is clear where both Young Pil and Sam-Dal's hearts lie, and after the recent episodes, Young Pil's love for SamDal is really unmatched. --------------------------------------- Last night's episode made me shed plenty of tears. I love the bit when we found out YP has still been supporting her all this while by going to her exhibitions without her knowledge. YP is so good that it would be crazy to let go of him ....anyway I like that Sam Dal's made up her mind not to be intimidated by the father. But the scene that really hit me the hardest was this:
  14. Yes, both were very good. I can understand @JenL's love for Lee Jae Wook. Haha. Actually @stroppyse I believe this is is a show you will appreciate. ----------------------------------- Episode 4 made me cry buckets. I think Yee Jae finally gets it that his suicide wasn't the end of it all. Seeing the pain it brought to JiSu and his mum was way more difficult than experiencing those failures that he had. Prior to his suicide, he was overwhelmed with bitterness and he allowed his own inferiority complex to blind him. Yes, he had it tough but he forgot about his mother and Jisu who had stood by him. I was filled with regret for him , and really hope he gets a second chance in life. Even though I am only midway @40somethingahjumma is right, the plotting here is excellent. They chose Lee Do Hyun for these scenes and he was the perfect fit. He had great chemistry with GYJ too, and hopefully when our he returns after the army they can do an angsty melo together I had a good laugh here when she sent him as a baby. She had to teach him a lesson :P Hhahah ...Kim JH does look younger. Coming to think of it I have never seen him in short hair...usually has it somewhat longer.
  15. Watched 3 episodes. Like it so far . Particularly interesting to see how he will outwit Death. Definitely a lot of social commentary going on here what with suicide & bullying being such big issues in SK. They chose some very good actors for each scenario that he has to go through. Of course I was most excited to see Jang Seung Jo as a gangster. Lee Jae Wook In prisoner clothes was also very charismatic.
  16. Madam Ju indirectly caused her parents' death, correct ? Or at least that's what was said in the preview . But with that smile and the burning of the scroll before that, does it mean that Gu Won had a contract with her parents (or perhaps her father) and their time was up? Or was the smile about him negotiating a contract with Madam Ju and perhaps to save DoDoHee? SK's acting is not too bad. I won't say he's the best actor out there but I think with the right roles and the right director, he's actually quite a decent actor.
  17. @gilaswan thanks for the explanation. Cuz I needed some closure for poor Joseon Tae Ha Even Bae In Hyuk here says more episodes would have given more development for the show
  18. @Tofu Lots of rumours that this will air soon 🥳🥳
  19. @mademoiselle I had such a good laugh when mum threw the vinegar on that Bang Eun Joo. That felt quite satisfying. While I understand that those who love Sam Dal felt much pain seeing her get beaten, it was a good thing that Sam Dal didn't physically retaliate when BEJ's mother hit her. She would still appear like the bad guy and would have worsen the situation. Anyway , I love the entire village rallying around Sam Dal. It's such an assurance for Sam Dal that this place is truly home. So I really can't with Yong Pil's father - the man has crossed the line. Yes, he's the father but this bitterness of his is just unreasonable. Urghhh...but I agree that it really is SamDal's mum who has to settle this with him once and for all. The root of the grudge is YPs' father still blaming SD's mum for his wife's death. I just need Sam Dal to be brave and not cower.
  20. @mademoiselle My interpretation is that Joseon TH is Modern TH. She just doesn't realise it. After she jumped and before she appeared , they had that moment where he wrote in the diary that he wishes to be reborn and meet YW, then pans to the scene of her reappearing to Modern TH. So that has to be it...ahahahah...see I need to give myself closure or I will feel much injustice for Joseon TH who managed to capture my heart in half an episode. Yes, BaeInHyuk giving me SLS in a drama where he's also the ML. Plenty of plot holes and I felt like I was confused about the world building. But still I enjoyed this show because of the pairing and the rom-com bit worked for me. I do love all their interactions and I was 110% invested in what would happen to them. After watching the last episode , it occurred to me that it would be so lovely if they can reunite in a proper historical. I always feel LSY is the best actress of her generation for this genre. Oh my they didn't put this in the actual scene....ahahah too steamy ?
  21. It says "I am the mother who raised you" ...Viu translation. She is his step-mum even in Joseon. BaeInHyuk should do more sageuk . I am enjoying this angsty bit of the final episode...
  22. This scene was hilarious. I had such a good laugh... I am conflicted about whether theme parks like the one being planned is good or bad. I get that it brings development & perhaps helps the locals in terms of compensation and new business opportunities. But there are also environmental concerns & brings an end to a way of life ( like a cultural extinction). Anyhow, JD's ex hubs had good intentions moving the theme park to Samdalri. I too hope that they can reunite - this love line is the cutest! Mr Nice car should just stop...if he's going to continue , please first tell SamDal. I am always amused that people think that in love triangles, the best man wins. No, it's never about who is the best candidate because the heart wants what it wants. SD's feelings for YP has always been there. Even when she was dating that cheater ex, I believe those feelings just went dormant. Yeah, it is a bit draggy now so I hope they get together and deal with the dad.
  23. Exactly. Makes no sense !!!! I am still baffled by why her going back would save modern TH . Shouldn’t Joseon TH have a change in fate too ? I need enlightenment….😅 It’s like implying with money & connections, anything is possible. 🤣🤣
  24. I am sure we all knew who paid the hospital fees but this romance is actually cute. Root for them now ... Hahahahh..
