    - Is it just me who is doubting the sincerity of Prof.Min tasking Ga-on to investigate Yohan secretly?

Hahahaha the actor Ahn Nae Sang who plays this character also makes it difficult not to doubt isn't it? Since the actor is awesome playing both the good guy and the bad.

    - How cute that Yohan tried to learn from a book how to talk to teenagers... but he only read one page! haha...

Very cute. He kept having to remind himself to smile while I'm all cringing for him, "Not the right timing... just leave" :eeeee:

I teared up when he was wailing the injustice that happened for his parents' case.

That was such a good scene and the rest of the crying scenes after that. Poor Ga On.

I still wonder why the father took it out on him physically. What's the old man's problem?

I thought some where in an episode it was mentioned in the flashback. I think it's coz Yo Han reminds him of the part of him he hates. Plus Yo Han was a mistake he made too.

oooh interesting point here. I find it is kind of disturbing too, people may find it funny for revenge that 'in price' for what he did but also we can't make sexual assault is ok-ish for punishment? A grey moral here.

I didn't like it in the sense that how is it that the sex offenders in the prison seem so happy in the video. They should look miserable and repenting. I didn't feel bad for the defendant merely because I know once he's in there, he's going to be punished by these guys sexually and get a taste of his own.

  2. Episode 9

*Laughs* The interactions between Da Jung and Tae Jung are lovely & funny. It's such a huge contrast to when they were young as I remember how Da Jung took care of Tae Jung, played by child actor  Elijah (Hi Bye Mama & Mouse).

I'm glad this episode covered some of the mystery however it's still as clear as mud, lol! Even when we were shown the guy who maybe the one murdering Chae Joon, we have no idea who he is. What he narrated made no sense either.

Someone put a hit on him? Wae?

The book "Perfect Murder"? - what's the link?

Why was he fooled by an 18 years old boy (one of the twins)?

On the contrary, it was nice to see more personality and/or old habits from Ian. It once again highlighted just how much he had been influenced by the life he had at the orphanage, having to eat fast otherwise I presume he may have his food taken away when the time is up. I'm also starting to understand how much he hates seeing Da Jung's scared/shocked expressions when she sees him. It must not be a nice feeling.

Huge progress with the OTP's relationship too! Da Jung finally being able to tell someone about her childhood trauma. Great performance there from Hyun Jin and Young Do made a big leap by giving us a beautiful and satisfying kiss. :wow: Just too bad that the TV ratings are not doing well.

I think K oppa aging better (SSH bias).

True. Maybe because Koreans are more aware that their beauties are their assets. :lmao2: Also most Ahjussi Oppa still have lots of hair (although can tell they have receding hairline). It makes me wonder what's their secret. Did they have hair transplant or wear wig to hide hair thinning/baldness.

  4. @Tofu @SilverMoonTea @NiteWalker I'm so out of the China-HK-TW entertainment. Is Takeshi still acting? Did he also went to China like everybody else?

@SilverMoonTea I can't remember what was the last I saw from him too but I'm pretty sure it is more than 10 years ago. I remembered I saw Hero. I know he did House of Flying Daggers with Zhang Ziyi and Red Cliff later - watched neither of these. I should check and see if NF has it. The thing with historical C-movies/dramas is that I don't like the Wuxia part of things. I grew up watching them but I grew out of it.

@JenL Some time in the 90s, the media crowned HK with 4 (big) kings (四大天王) - Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok. Taiwan has the 4 (small) kings (四小天王) - Nicky Wu, Jimmy Lin, Takeshi Kaneshiro & Alec Su. :heiboi:

@Chocolate The first two photos were acceptable but the rest in the spoiler were :GrimChamp:. And I do remember me used to think he and Takeshi were alike. You just confirm my belief of continuing with my journey of adopting younger Oppa.

But you're not watching the drama... you're watching the ML, so go for it!

Sometimes a bad drama will ruin the love for the actor!

in Nflix, the English translation yeah kinda. Is the one I attach from twitter same with your understanding version?

    Yup.

The mistranslated bit here is what Jae Eon said...  in Korean I understood it as he asked "Is that the issue?"

It was translated to "That's not the issue" in English - which makes Jae Eon a total jerk but the tone of the line is a question to Nabi. And Chinese version translated to "Is this what you care about?" (or more like is this what's bothering her).

Even at the dinner with Ga On, Elijah and the housekeeper, the way he looked at everyone - his eyes

True. I've been searching for GIFs on this scene - from the bit that he was going for the egg but Ga On moved it to Elijah and he was giving Ga On the look (a bit of jealousy there). And one with him having the spoon in his mouth. The rest I have seen GIFs.

There is discussion that Nflix has mistranslated the scene right before JE-NB kiss at the ending ep. 7

Is it? Which bit because I do remember Jae Eon told her to be honest. I watched in Chinese so I don't think it was mistranslated (+ I also listen to what they say if it isn't too complicated to understand).

    Well...only 3 more eps left.

Hahaha I was (sort of) ranting few posts before. Likewise I was like *yawn* for this episode and just generally annoyed with all of the OTPs. But yeah, I will watch them all because it's almost to the end.

  9. Episode 10

Now that I've watched the episode in full, I feel like I owed Soo Hyun an apology for jumping onto conclusion about her (and Ga On being reckless). Ha-ha. She didn't use a gun this time because her gun was confisticated. She had to go alone because no one would help her & thinks she's only handling one person but luckily Ga On went with him and later on joined by Yo Han. They had a plan and Elijah helped. They are working as a team. Good good.

Still, a show is a show no matter how great the action scene was (technically not that impressive) but my point is more on they were still outnumbered and are able to out-fight all the thugs. But I'll let it slide because at least Yo Han was smart enough to fight with a pole—a much more reasonable approach than Lee Je Hoon fighting with bare fists in Taxi Driver.

I really enjoy the scene between Yo Han and Sun Ah. Yo Han seems to turn on his sexy charm full power whenever he's with her, probably & obviously toying/playing along. So so smexy, don't you think @Chocolate @im0202? I really love the bit when he said he'll think about Sun Ah's request, and she responded with both her hands as per below gif. I doubt this is something from the script so it had to be all from Kim Min Jung and Ji Sung. :wow: I just love it when the actors have great chemistry and dynamics.

    See, so charming...

There's a couple of scenes that didn't appear from the E10 preview. One was Ga On being outdoor and there were others around him running and then one with Yo Han saying their plan has failed. None of this were shown in E10 so is this plan about Sun Ah's interference or something else?

From what's revealed by Cha Kyung Hee on Sun Ah's past, it doesn't seem like it's a humble beginnings. I doubt it is too purely because she's a bit cuckoo. If she'd kill Chairman Seo, it can only suggest as Cha Kyung Hee mentioned she might have killed her own parents. I also think she finds her past being a maid shameful or not something she's proud of. Like Cha Kyung Hee said, "lowlife" and she seems convinced of it herself. Social status in South Korea has always been an issue since the ancient times.

E11 preview looks like Sun Ah got her hands on the actress who once helped Yo Han in the trial of Cha Kyung Hee's son. I hope Yo Han can turn the table around on this, as well as whatever Jin Joo is up. I want Yo Han to be smart and win in the end for each episode or case but I don't mind a little challenge is thrown at him to make the show interesting. I just hope it isn't at the cost of betrayal/death since that lady knows the rest of the guys in this vigilante quest.

But one thing disturbs me is the way Yohan losing his control when saving Elijah. There is camera, and he just choke the man. I'm not expecting that coming from him with such details & anticipation of his every moves. At least, not for that kind of act. Did Yohan-Gaon-Elijah took care of the records? Will public have problem with it if leaked? "The Chief Judge Kang Yohan Loses Himself" kind of headline.. Or it's just a plot hole?

Juk Chang has told his minion to switch off the camera and only record the audio when Soo Hyun went to tend to the beaten foreigner. So when Yo Han choked Juk Chang, the camera (I believe) was off. I'm sure smarty pants Yo Han can easily turn this in his favour. Juk Chang is now the loser and Yo Han can easily play with the public's sympathy that Juk Chang was attacked his one and only family left.

LOL @Chocolate you should totally build Ji Sung a shrine! Those Esquire photos are :wow:
