  1. Well, that nerve-wracking scene at the end of ep.10 ended rather anti-climatically, haha... I wonder how Deok Im and CL Seo brought CL Park out of the dungeon though. Ep.11-12 thoughts - Before it was Deok Im imagining San by her side, now it's San's imagining Deok Im by his side tending his wounded hand. These two.... the feeling is so deep but they're able to hold it in. Wow... - Lost count already on how many times Deok Im saved San. She is really a smart person who is able to figure out the best solution, and has good persuasive skills too. - I actually teared up when the King was crying over HCL Jo killing herself. Indeed a mean and cruel person she is. - Still find it hard to see the mother-son pairing of princess HwaHan and her adopted son. Anyway, what happened to him? - Can't stop my tears when San was mourning over the King's death. What great performance of these two actors during this scene. I love to see how San was reminiscing his grandfather towards the end of the episode as he was reflecting upon his new responsibility as the ruler of the nation. - Oooo, that ending... what a prim and proper olden time proposal! So boring, yet it made me so excited... hahahaaa... Just say "yes" Deok Im-ah! I appreciate the production doing away with some unnecessary scenes for the sake of storytelling. We get to know from the conversation and that is enough ~ CL Park's death, King's funeral, San's ascension...
  2. This is mine. Alphabetically... centred and same font size. Maybe these will help me win @gilaswan @laurisse @Mizv @oppasaranghaeyo come play with us.
  3. O wow... they dropped us all 8 episodes at once. This is like an early Christmas gift, haha... I never expected we will have all the episodes on this day.
  4. I don't know how to play this... I just need to make my own board using the template from you?
  5. Ep.10 - Urgh, Deok Ro is jealous. Although what he said are valid. He is a very practical person. Obviously never been in love, not knowing that boy-girl love is just different from appreciation of - Again, ordinary scenes of the OTP, yet touching my heart so much. The library scenes and their scenes outdoor before parting. And at last and at least we get a kiss on the forehead. That's progress, right?! I'm so tortured with this slow burning romance between these two! It's clearly there, but it's not there. You know what I mean? I'm falling deeper in love with San, or Junho? Hahaa... - How dare Deok Ro look down on San's affection for Deok Im by suggesting that he indulge himself in it and the passion will be gone? - Okay, the second half of the episode was quite nerve-wracking for me when Deok Im is snooping around HCL Jo's place up to the dungeon to find the scroll. I had to stop here first. I know nothing will happen to her since she is the lead and I did catch some glimpse of newer episodes stills. But it's still so tensed that I need a break, haha... Be back soon.
  6. I should thank you for keeping this thread alive! I'm just so bad in finding news and tidbits for a drama, hahaa... Ep.9 thoughts (not in order) - I shall start from the end... I didn't expect it at all, but I just can't help my tears flowing when San saw Deok Im in a distance and ran towards her. It's such a cliche scene but somehow felt so raw (given what both went through moments ago) that I cried seeing them running towards each other. Then the falling into each other's arms, and the endearing exchange of protecting each other. I like that Deok Im told San directly that it was her who flew the kite, and how San admitted he immediately knew that it was her. Gosh, PD-nim and writer-nim, please let this sweetness last longer and don't bring in the melo too soon and too much... - Also love the way San looks at Deok Im so tenderly when she was sleeping. I actually got goosebumps as he was trying to caress her face. That scene was well done and I thought it was very romantic even though nothing happened, haha... Another romantic part was when at the beginning, amongst the kites, he was holding her hand and let it go gently... I enjoy seeing San being exasperated look every time he's around Deok Im and she's not responding to him the way he wants her to. - Guard Kang is soooo hilarious thinking that he let Deok Im passed because he caught some zzzz's while guarding San's room, and how worried he was to be sent back to his mother who will be disappointed to have him home. Happy to see there's still humour laced into the episode as the mood gets more serious. He keeps growing on me, so please let nothing bad happen to him. Love to see his relaxed relationship with San too, as he asked to drink together if he survive the ambush. - Scary to see what HCL Jo has cooked up all this time. Those troops she has build up is no joke. I know she has the support of Left Minister, but who else is on her side? When you think of it, how is the king or royal family is going to survive, having such a HCL?? Who to trust now for San, who knew that it's an insider's job? He could be killed at any time in the palace secretly. Anyway, if San is not to be the King, who is Jo trying to put on the throne then? I guess it's true that a HCL can really be the King-Maker of the nation. I shudder... - Not sure if it's right, but I kinda agree with what Deok Ro suggested to San, that he should hold off to investigating the disappearance of the little girls. Being a leader needs to think and act strategically as well, not just driven by emotions and moral obligations. It's interesting to know that San has always felt Deok Ro is not yet on his side fully. Kinda sad because San must be quite disappointed about it. This could also be because he thought he owed Deok Ro his life, when it was Deok Im who saved him when he was younger. - The fight at the end was well done in the way it was interspersing the scenes of what San's going through and Deok Im running back to his place. I thought the fighting itself was quite well done too. We see San struggling and almost hurt, and the save was appropriate, not unbelievable. I wonder if that unnie CL returned the second round and was caught or not.
  7. O good! LOLOL.... It goes to show how newbie I am with Japanese dramas and news 😂 Took me a while to get used to her wearing baggy clothes knowing what’s under it. I had wondered why such styling for her character.
  8. I've been avoiding this thread because I haven't had the chance to watch the episodes. Don't want any spoilers. RL been so busy that I've purposely put this drama on hold because I want watch it properly, savouring and not in a rush. So, I've just now finished ep.8, haha... I know I'm late, but I should be able to catch up by binging these 2 days. Quick thoughts for ep.8, since I'm sure you guys have discussed it a lot. (I haven't back read on the thread) - Teared up when Deok Im was able to jog the King's memory with her vivid storytelling, complete with olfactory aid to heighten the senses. And I love that through this, San found out that she is that little girl he's been looking for. - What kind of cult/sect is that HCL Jo is trying to build?? So scary, with veiled faces some more, as if they cannot recognise who is who behind the veils. Poor CL Seo being forced into becoming part of it. And even pitier CL Park for being beaten up and torture like that. Me no like HCL Jo. Probably whatever CL Park accused her of is true in regards to Sado... - Urgh, princess HwaWan is still so grating as ever. I feel sorry to the actress for always saying mean things of her character. - Yes, finally they find out about their childhood connection. Always love, love, love seeing their private rendezvous at that place. And that hug... so tight OST#4 is so nice....
  9. Agree... I kinda like the vet-to-be guy. He looks cute. Not as oppa, but he just seems to be a fun guy to hang out with. His smile... I do have something to say about the actress of Akiha, but will do that later (next week?) after everyone's caught up. It's nothing negative, but it might spoil your mood watching, coz it did mine when I found out and took me a while to see her back as the character Akiha. Haha...
  10. And... it's a wrap!! Ggrr... I binged 8-9-10, and it's a good thing, otherwise I would grow quite impatient with how wishy-washy the relationship is going, due to Momose's awkward and super slow social cues. I was so excited when he was running to find Akiha by the street and asked to hug her, only to gape when the next thing he said is let's get divorced asap... What was this guy thinking?? He wanted to start anew, have a fresh real start with Akiha, but he wants to go through a divorce first. Me like thinking, is the administration of marriages and divorces in Japan so easy and convenient? Hahaaa.... He is cute, his character is cute, but I would never want to spend the rest of my life with this kind of clueless guy It will be too tiring for me. Only Akiha can be patient and accommodating with him. The ending was quite cute. There is a super unexpected twist when Akiha was narrating what marriage is for different people. I won't spoil it for now. Then when Momose's brother bumped his head, so funny
  11. I really like this drama a lot, but have no time to write much about it because of RL demands during year end. Anyway, you guys have written a lot of what I thought and felt too, so nothing new to add. My fave would be ep.6 so far, but the new episodes later might just become another new fave. It’s not easy to write a story that goes back and forth with flashback and I have always enjoyed such storytelling more instead of the linear timeline ones. I think this drama has done the storytelling and flashback well. I too love that we get to hear the thoughts of the main characters. Some of the camera angles are unusual too that added to the feels of the characters inner thoughts. Hopefully I can come write more soon.
  12. Ep.20 Sword fights all around. - Urgh, that Prince Wonsan killed Gyeom without blinking an eye. It's so sad to see Dam-i crying over him. However, I do think the little boy is too weak to become a king. So happy though that Guard Ga-On did not hesitate to deliver such a strong blow to WonSan, but why not a fatal blow. I'm sorry to say that I already knew Hyun will not be able to protect Gyeom, LOL... He can't fight as fierce as the others. - My guess was right. JW's father died while fighting, and at the hand of the evil grandpa too. Urgh, why is this old man so powerful?? So difficult to get rid of? - So sad, the part when Dam-i was telling JW that she wants a hairpin as a gift from him. Then also when she was asking CL Kim to brew the tea. - Am glad to see the grandpa's face red with anger when he knew he's been poisoned. But urgh, why did she have to die with him? She could've consulted JW and take an antidote first? - How long has the time passed? that JW still cannot change out of his bloodied clothes? LOL... - Whatever happened WonSan? Nothing is mentioned about him... but am so pleased that Hyun took the throne. He will be a good king. - Love the happy ending, but seriously, I think this drama will be more enjoyable if kept to shorter version eg.16 episodes. Somehow I feel that in the middle there are stuff that's unnecessary. It's just a fight against the grandpa after all. Took a bit too long to take him down. But when it happened, it seemed quite easy, although there were many lives sacrificed.
  13. Just finished ep.19... Urgh, why can't someone just kill that evil grandpa... - I knew things were too early to have a wrap since we still have one full episode to go through. Not to mention that brother of Hyun is still roaming out there. - Still guessing that JW's father will die while fighting the two big baddies instead of getting the punishment from King Hwi/Dam. - Dam-i is super cool when coming in full authority to arrest her grandpa - So glad that Hyun did not die. The brother still has a little bit of heart left it seems.
  14. Me too... Please, please, please.... Can't find where to watch too.... You know the part where she was walking to him, calling "oppa, oppa" ~ I'm sure they cut the part when they first met, probably a hug there? Hahaa... coz suddenly it's cut to awkward scripted "how are you" and stuff...
  15. This week's episodes been just so-so. And I'm getting tired of DD not helping YG also. When he asked to clarify certain things as his memory is coming back bits and pieces, she should help him instead of getting mad at him. The guy lost his memory, for goodness sake! The saving grace was the last few minutes of ep.26 when YG finally remembered his relationship with SR and with DD. Yes to this part. I feel so frustrated with her. But I guess that's the olf typical setup of kdrama female protagonist, which usually work for the weekender viewers. Allowing herself to suffer in silence and not wanting to "hurt" anyone... just that it's rather inconsistent with her earlier character portrayal when she was quite active pursuing a clear response from YG towards her confession. I had thought her character was rather refreshing being full of initiatives be in a relationship with him. I guess she also forgot she was the one pursuing YG instead of him pursuing her while supposedly being engaged.... I am looking forward to how SR and DR will get the wrath from YG. And it will get exciting because the little boys are starting on their cupid mission OST#4 ~ Hidden Path (Jeong Dong Won)
  16. Thank you!! I've been wondering where I have seen her before. She looks and feels sooooo familiar, yet I cannot think of which dramas I've seen her in... LOL, maybe my subconscious has been trying to delete that drama from memory
  17. Oh well, I got excited for a few seconds there... I don't mind at all if YSJ playing the love she eventually marry.
  18. Aren't we still in 2021?... You time travelled??
  19. Finished. No tears 😆 (good thing no eye-rolling as well). Had to take the risk, because come weekend, there will be other new episodes, so must catch up. We’ve been shown that Hyun Soo is left-handed. Will this play a part to prove his innocence? The police and investigators are really doing haphazard job with this case that went on national news. I want them to be shamed, nationally. It doesn’t seem that the retiring officer and annoying prosecutor are being ordered by anyone. They just really could care less about the truth of what happened that night.
  20. Wait, what?... We had this similar bucket count thing for one drama before (Youth of May?) but for this drama?? I was about to start ep.6, should I find another time? Don’t wanna go to bed with puffy eyes.
  21. Very well said for the whole post above @abs-oluteM I totally agree.
  22. Actually, I think it's more like "let go/give up" instead of "throw away"... So for me watching with Chinese subs, it didn't sound as cruel. I do wonder what was the reason she broke up with him. Could it be the request of his parents? Because she did mention that it wasn't entirely her fault that they broke up (ep.4). But at one point, it showed that she got along fine with his mother. Enjoyed ep.3-4. I really like the way this drama is telling the story. Especially the part about the 10 things I hate about you at the beginning of ep.3, when CW was telling how he disliked certain traits of YS but it turned out that she always had him in her mind after all. LOL... he is totally using the same trick to get back at YS with the new documentary thing. "I jump, you must jump too"...
  23. Yup yup... he was marvelous there as the autistic brother, though the drama doesn't get a 10/10 from me.
  24. Sigh... barely 5 minutes into ep.19 and I kept tearing up already... Saving the last two episodes for a more suitable time to watch, haha... Staying away from this thread till then to avoid spoilers
