  1. @mademoiselle yes! I am going to be adopting him also watching She Would Never Know per @abs-oluteM’s recommendation.
  2. As most of you have already said, this drama is definitely tropey but bec the leads have amazing chemistry and the acting is pretty good, one can't help but keep watching! Of course, it helps that there's a lot accidental/intentional kissing! Like you said @SnT, I also appreciate that whatever issues arise, it is quickly resolved. It goes to show that despite the bickering between SC and XX, they still give each other the benefit of the doubt and they always have each other's backs. This is made evident in how they put the other first when it came to Alex's proposal. SC was willing to let the collaboration go because he wanted to support XX's dreams and XX was willing to put her interests aside for SC because she knew how much it meant to him. At this point, SC is already very aware of how he feels toward XX and I'm eager to see XX realize her own feelings for him. I think we'll get it in the next few episodes as the previews that @Tofu shared look like they'll be consummating their "contract" marriage. It also looks like they'll be spending some time at XX's home and I wonder what leads up to it. @Tofu I don't know if you have had the chance to watch all episodes but you're right in that Xi Wei gets stuck in the elevator (and thank goodness for that!) I feel bad that because of the clothing swap, there was a misunderstanding between SC and XX. He thought it was Xi Wei in the white dress so he rejected her but it turned out to be XX and it breaks her heart. Thankfully SC's friend tells him of the clothing kerfuffle and SC is aware of his mistake so he can repair it. I find Mo Xin quite annoying and quite honestly, despite all the help he provides XX, I just can't see XX ever ending up with him.
  3. Ep 3.. wow. I'm still really enjoying this drama. Compared to Dam-i's younger self, she seems to have grown up to be tougher and colder. I suspect that she's had to learn to be cold to protect herself and also to help conceal her real identity. The part of her that hesitates to kill/hurt someone is still there though and I'm glad to see that underneath it all, she is still kind. I am glad that despite losing her brother and mother, she still has her maid and eunuch to keep her company. I'm sure she's had to live a really lonely life. In ep 3, the one who gifts her the brush.. is that the boy who corrected her posture when she was shooting arrows in ep 2? I like him.. he's quite sweet and charming. With Jung Ji-un becoming her tutor, things are about to get interesting. I seem to recall someone posting the cast diagram here somewhere (or am I confusing it for another drama?). I can't seem to find it. @mademoiselle I am starting to crush on Rowoon. Care to share your oppa?
  4. Just finished ep 11-12 and I’m glad Yin Si Chen is finally admitting to himself that he likes Xi Xi. The scene where Xi Xi falls asleep and he tells her he likes her while he softly gazed at her was so sweet. I really appreciated it when he told his secretary Fei Ying (?) that he now has something else he wants more in his heart than the collaboration with Alex. This is the first time Yin Si Chen is putting Xi Xi’s interests ahead of his own. Even though the collaboration would be great for him and her, he’s still concerned about her having to give up her dream of owning her own brand. I am a little unclear though as to why Xi Xi got upset when she found out about Yin Si Chen kept it from her that Alex wanted her to manage the brand. Is it bec she thinks that Yin Si Chen is just hindering her from launching her own brand? I’m super annoyed with Xi Wei! I don’t even know why she keeps scheming when It’s clear than Yin Si Chen isn’t even remotely interested in her!!
  5. @Tofu that was such an awkward slide/fall too! The way his right leg folded under him and his body just sorta flopped down
  6. Thanks for the clarification @mademoiselle! I’m sorry but both men - the inspector and the king’s guard look the same!! I will judge by the color of their clothing from now on. glad to know I’m not the only one confused. and yes! They should’ve clarified that there was a time jump between crown princess and Dam-I hugging on the bridge to the time she was on death bed. I was like “did she die of stress?”
  7. Thank you for the clarification! I have to say that I find the child actors in this one very adorable - the one who plays the prince, his eunuch, young Jang Ji-un and Hyun. They all have that childhood innocence. The moral of the story is - don't switch places with someone even if you look like them.. you never know if you're going to get stuck impersonating them for life!
  8. I'm struggling a little here.. is Ji-Woon's dad the assassin who killed the prince? I get confused between the right hand man of uncle and the right hand man of the crown princess.
  9. THIS. I wanted to quote your entire post @stroppyse but it was long so I figured I'd just cut it to here but I loved your post. I would be glad to see DD's entire family get kicked out of the house as they are all incompetent and annoying. As much as I like DD's dad for being a good provider, I hate that he is such a pushover. Of the entire family, I find the stepmom the most annoying. Every scene she's in makes me want to hurl the tv remote at her. Her mother and brother are also equally annoying. As for Sarah, I suspected as much - that SJ was her child considering how affectionate and partial she was to him compared to the other children. What I am curious to find out is whether the deceased wife knew about it. I don't think YG knows though. This truth being revealed early on in the drama makes me wonder how much this complicated relationship is going to get in the way of the leads (if it will). As for Anna Kim, from the preview, it looks like she will mistake DD's cousin as DD. Okay, so she felt remorse for leaving her husband and baby behind to pursue her dreams but then she comes back to peep at them. What for?? I think the age gap between the leads is exacerbated by the fact that YG dresses so formally and behaves so stiffly. I wonder if in time, he will grow to be more relaxed and chill around his family. I think if he softened and became more chill, it wouldn't be such a stark contrast to DD as we see her now. This is the first Korean weekend drama I'm watching so I'm not used to the 50 episode length and I'm so surprised by the amount of characters and complicated situations between them. Reminds me of a typical soap opera. LOL
  10. yes!! And how cute when they sat down to talk about their future. I really appreciated that moment between them. And when Mi Seon said that they should date with a view to marriage and Policeman Cha says “that’s always been my plan”. I die at his sweetness
  11. I totally agree with you on this one. But I think she was "quick" in forgiving him and taking him back for a few reasons.. first, it looks like she's always liked him as a person as they were best friends even before CH came into the picture. I think this was made more evident when she recounted the time he took care of her mother. So despite him seeming like a loser compared to her, in her eyes he has his merits. A second reason as to why I think she may have taken him back so quickly is because they have a child together and despite their history as a couple, he's always been a good father. She was probably waiting for him to realize his feelings for her and for him to see her value and when he finally did, she caved. @YourHighness so glad to see you here! Like you, I am rooting for the main couple and love them together but I also can't help but imagine the future Hye Jin and Ji PD could've had together. It's rare to love the 2nd lead as much as the lead. I think this is one drama where regardless of who HJ chose, the viewers would be just as happy.
  12. Juggling so many dramas!

  13. Just finished watching ep 1 and man oh man, I feel so bad for the crown princess having to give up her daughter just so the daughter can survive. And the ending! Gah! Like most of you have already said, I felt bad for the prince as he would've made a great leader I think. He also seemed like a kind and smart boy. I loved the way he treated his twin sister - despite her being a lowly maid, he treated her with kindness and respect. It says a lot about him. Now on to watch ep 2....
  14. Just like @ktcjdramamentioned, HJ overheard YG telling Oh Yeonsoo (I think that’s the cafe owner’s name but I can’t quite remember lol) that he had married YG merely out of convenience. He wasn’t getting any younger, his first love CH had left and Hwa Jeong was around. He married her not because he was in love with her but that it was convenient for him. Mind you he was drunk as he was saying all of this and didn’t realize that Hwa Jeong was right outside in the rain. She had come to pick him up and happened to hear everything. Hwa Jeong genuinely loved YG and she even told Nam Suk about the time her mother was sick at the hospital and how she saw YG visit her mom every day and he would wipe her down and make her laugh. It meant a lot to HJ. so she was really hurt by YG’s words. Even though she divorced him, she still really cares about him. I think she divorced him bec she didn’t want to tie him down but it could be also bec she didn’t want to be married to someone who didn’t love her that way. In ep 12 or 13 I think? He finds out that HJ overheard his conversation so he realizes that’s why she divorced him. He then feels regret and remorse. He overhears someone trying to set up a blind date between HJ and another guy and it bothers him to the point that when Nam Suk tells him that HJ is drunk with her blind date, he runs over. He sincerely apologizes to HJ for taking her for granted and only realizes how much she means to him when he’s on the verge of losing her.
  15. Thank you @NiteWalker! So it looks like we are getting close to a confession! I really hope so!! Looking forward to all these kisses!!
  16. @Tofu what is happening in these previews? It looks like there will be some angst.
  17. @abs-oluteM yay! You started watching! Lol so true! It’s amazing how he even had the time to take off his jacket before grabbing her. also, why was the 2nd ML lead on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere that night in the rain?! Lol @Yana I didn’t even realize they were wearing the same silk pyjama until you shared that!
  18. oh yay! You’re watching too? I am also all for the kissing scenes.
  19. @Tofu there’s no such thing as too many kissing scenes so I’m all for it I’ve already seen all 10 episodes that are available so far. I personally don’t really care for Yin Si Chen’s friends’ arc so I just FF through all his scenes. Yin Si Chen’s adorable grandmother makes up for Xi Xi’s annoying grandmother. I am curious to find out what happens when Yin Si Chen’s mother finds out about the contract marriage. The dad is on board for now at least.
  20. I love how Xi Xi's ex and Xi Wei's strategy to stir something up between Yin Si Chen and Xi Xi failed. Unexpectedly, Xi Xi ends up praising Yin Si Chen's physical attributes as well as his character - much to Yin Si Chen's pleasure. LOL he even took a photo! Ran Xi Wei is sooooo annoying! I'm so glad that despite all her efforts, Yin Si Chen always defends Xi Xi and only sees Xi Xi. Despite his seemingly cold facade, Yin Si Chen actually cares about Xi Xi and always has her back.
  21. Wow, what a twist! So as it turns out, Du-Sik lost his hyung.. an upper classman who treated him like a brother. Although unclear yet as to what led to his death, it looks like the wife blamed Du Sik. Also, what a surprise that Du Sik is connected to the director's dad! It looks like a number of unfortunate things befell all these people surrounding Du Sik and somehow he was blamed for them and he feels responsible. No wonder he's been holding on to all that guilt and feels he doesn't deserve Hye Jin. Can't wait to find out what really happened. As for Hwa-Jeong and Yong-Geuk, what a beautiful scene between them. I cried too! Can't say I'm surprised about the Cho Hui, I suspected as much right from the beginning. Eun Chul and Mi Seon are so cute together!
  22. Ugh, I cannot stand Xi Xi's dad and grandmother. They're so ridiculous and every time they appear on scene, I get so mad. The grandmother is even worse than the father!
  23. I haven't seen The Imperial Coroner but I do like him in this one so far. I'm only on ep 3 but I'm enjoying it. Do check it out when you have time!
  24. It looks like there's going to be a lot of kissing in this one
  25. Deng Lun is in this one?! COUNT ME IN! LOVE HIM! So glad to see him in another drama. I've missed him
