  2. Funny because I was also wondering why this thread was so hot and I checked it out and saw all YY and DD kissing and now I'm stuck here fangirling hard Yang Yang is definitely my oppa flavour of the month
  3. I think YY and Dilreba kiss in YAMG is THE BEST of all of YY's kisses because DD is kissing him back and the eyes and body language are perfect I've been watching and watching all of their kissing scenes... sooooo HOOOTTT!! 6. So much good food! How does one choose?? I am a big noodle fan.. However, I am going to post what I am craving right now which is a Kalbi Bento Box I love the variety you get in a bento.. Apart from the delicious Kalbi, you get rice, salad, tempura and sushi/maki! YUMMY!! Here's a photo of the bento box I typically get from this one Japanese restaurant..
  7. Just started watching ep 8 and Do-Hyeok’s surprise for Na Bi just makes my heart ache for him and his sweetness ok I’m going to keep watching and see how the rest of the episode goes….
  8. @Tofu I totally find Na Bi’s situation relatable. Women can’t help but be attracted to the “bad boy”. We all know it probably isn’t smart and yet we all have this attraction to said boy. A large part of it, I think, is bec said bad boy is usually attractive and confident. Traits which women are usually attracted to. And for some women, there’s the ego - to be the woman that finally tames him. and then there’s Do- Hyeok, the boy who checks all the boxes on “the boy to marry” list. Unfortunately, in most cases, the bad boy seems more exciting and fun.
  9. yes! It’s interesting that when Yu Tu told Jingjing about his reasons for deciding to leave Aerospace, she didn’t say anything and simply listened. She understood why he felt the way he did, looking at it from his perspective. She didn’t diminish his concerns nor his feelings. She didn’t say “it would be more practical to pursue finance” or say “if you were with me, you wouldn’t have to worry about it”. She also didn’t make him feel guilty for wanting a career in aeorospace and instead defended him. Jingjing took the time to actually get to know Yu Tu during their younger years. She found out he had an interest in aerospace and so she took the time to look at forums so she could have something to talk to him about. She knew how much he loved it which is why she was surprised to learn he had taken finance in college. She liked him and was supportive of whatever he chose to do. She thought of him instead of thinking of what she could get out of it. I agree, even without her success, she would totally still choose to be with Yu Tu and would work with him on whatever he chose to do. Interestingly, Yu Tu rejected her in the past bec he wanted to be with someone who would work with him and as it turns out, Jingjjng is exactly that type. Ps. You know this drama is right up my alley
  10. Yes! I really appreciated the conversation between Yu Tu and his mom. Yu Tu felt guilty for having pursued his dreams, feeling that he did so at the expense of his parents. He was made to feel as though his decision was selfish. This is what Xia Qing was also implying. Not to mention that it scared Yu Tu to realize that if his parents ever fell ill in the future, he wasn't confident he could support them. Yu Tu needed to hear it from his parents the most since it was out of love and concern for them that he was at a crossroads. He needed to hear from them that it was okay for him to pursue his dreams, that they understand and that they are proud of him no matter what. I think this is what finally gave him the confidence to pursue Jingjing.
  11. Sorry I'm late to the party over here but I started YAMG yesterday and have now seen all 18 episodes. Gosh, I love this drama so much! This is only the 2nd drama of Yang Yang's I've watched and I had forgotten how much I adore him. And he is so perfect for Yu Tu! Every time he comes onscreen, I can't help but ogle. Especially when he smiles! And he's so good at those micro expressions he makes especially when he's around Jingjing. Dilreba is perfect for her role as Jingjing as well and they have such good chemistry. I love how the characters are written in this one. You can clearly see the struggle in Yu Tu between pursuing his dreams and having the ability to care for his parents. In most dramas, we are presented with an extremely intelligent and handsome ML who eventually becomes rich and successful while the FL is a struggling employee somewhere. In this one, the ML, despite his intelligence and good looks feels as though he has accomplished nothing and is in fact struggling financially while the FL is flourishing. I found Yu Tu's struggles and circumstances to be so relatable. I think we all have this assumption that folks who do well in school end up being successful later on in life. However, that isn't always the case as we see in Yu Tu. He is considered successful in that he has accomplished much in the aerospace field. However, no one is aware of his accomplishments and from the average person's perspective, he has nothing to show for it. It's one of those things where he's doing what he loves, he's extremely good at it but he doesn't get the fame or the money that typically goes with it. As for Jingjing, I love how humble she is despite her fame. Despite having been rejected by Yu Tu in their younger years, when she finally did meet him again, she wasn't all "look at me, I'm famous now, don't you regret it". In fact she was warm and friendly toward Yu Tu and when she said she wanted him to coach her, she was serious about it. It wasn't just a gimmick to try and get close to him. She actually worked hard and practiced even when he wasn't around. It was nice to see Yu Tu develop an appreciation for Jingjing and to admit that he was wrong to reject Jingjing when he was younger when he didn't really know better. And how sweet that he chose to write her a handwritten letter! I cannot wait to see the new episodes!
  12. I'm finally all caught up on the episodes... While I am glad to see Jae-On finally realize his feelings towards Na Bi, I am extremely frustrated in that he continues to talk in circles instead of just telling her exactly how he feels. Seol-a already told him that she had told Na Bi they were dating. Why didn't he clarify with Na Bi? From my understanding, they aren't actually dating. More like exes turned friends.. if he is bothered by Na Bi hanging around Do Hyeok, why doesn't he straight up tell her where things lie? It seems so insincere to me. As for Do Hyeok, I find him adorable. I think we can all agree that Na Bi would be better off with him.. However, I can also sympathize with Na Bi... as frustrating as Jae-On is, he has a certain charm that she finds irresistible and although he draws the line, he also is very good at making her feel desired. And I understand why Na Bi's feelings are constantly confused. Jae-On and her have been spending so much time alone together, doing things a couple normally does but without the commitment. As much as Jae-On keeps her at arms length, because he also can't help but be attracted to her, he keeps doing little things that cross the same line he's careful to draw. So Na Bi is stuck in this constant push and pull.. "is it going to be different this time? Maybe he's starting to have real feelings.. maybe he'll want more too" It's hard to gain perspective when you are so immersed in the moment and especially difficult when you get along so well with the other person and have such a strong attraction. Let's face it, Jae-On is who she wants but in reality, Do-Hyeok is who she needs. It would be unfair to Do-Hyeok if Na Bi strings him along. Na Bi needs to set either men straight and just have an honest conversation about where they all stand. While Jae-On has been elusive, Na Bi is also at fault for not being vocal and clear about her expectations of him.
  13. No but a glass of cold Sangria would be nice right now... Do you enjoying growing and taking care of plants?
  14. So sorry for the very late reply! I haven't been around here much because I'm trying to spend as much time with the kiddos to enjoy the summer before school starts again. But yes, I have been enjoying the patio this summer (when weather permits as we have been getting so much rain!). We entered Stage 3 of reopening not that long ago so indoor dining is permitted again. I personally think that moving through the stages of reopening felt a bit too fast and I still don't feel comfortable going into people's homes or going to watch a movie at the theater or going to crowded places. I still try to keep to my small circle even though I am fully vaccinated. LOL sure! My question: Would you ever sky dive?
  15. I wish I could say yes but sadly no. I still have laundry to do! Dined at a patio this summer?
  16. @Chocolate we have Skinceuticals here and I actually use their Age and Blemish Defense Serum at night. I might check out the Retinol you mentioned. I personally like Tatcha Water cream because I'm oily and I find it doesn't feel heavy on my skin and I only need very little of it. It's expensive though so I use it sparingly. LOL
  17. @Chocolate I still haven't tried the P50 because it's not as easy to find here in Canada where I am. But I did end up trying the SKII toner and pitera facial serum. I liked them both but I recently ran out of the SKII Toner and decided to try the Caudalie Vinopure line per a friend's recommendation and I like it so far. I am going to look for that cream from Biologique Recherche! I am intrigued! I have been using the Tatcha Water Cream as my daily moisturizer for more than a year now and still like it. What else are you using? I have combination skin on my face but the oily parts get really oily especially in the summer!
  18. Just to clarify, when I said "I had a Jae-On during my college days.." I didn't mean I slept with him like Na Bi! LOLOL! I just re-read my post and I was like "maybe I gave the impression I behaved like Na Bi.." I should have said I knew a Jae-On.. he made the moves but I knew him to be a bit of a player so nothing came out of it. But at the time, I found myself going through the same thoughts as Na Bi.. knowing you shouldn't but trying to talk yourself into it.. the "maybe it's different with me" mentality. So as frustrating as Na Bi can be at times, I also get where she's coming from. Do I think Jae-On will/can change? I don't know. I am curious to find out the backstory. Like was he always a flirt? What led up to him not wanting to be in a serious relationship?
  19. HAHAHA! Yes! I think we are all benefiting from this physical relationship I had a "Jae On" during my college days.. Although he wasn't as good looking as Song Kang, he definitely had all the moves and had girls all over him too. So in a way, I can understand Na Bi. I think the title is "Nevertheless..." because there's that battle between the heart and the mind. The Mind tells you that he's trouble and yet the heart wants him. So you keep acting/behaving in a way that doesn't make sense. LOL
  20. I actually long suspected that Ik Sun's roommie was a guy so I wasn't at all surprised when they revealed him to be so. I don't think Jun Wan is the jealous type either but perhaps it's the fact that Ik Sun didn't tell him her roommie was a guy is likely what is causing the insecurity. If Jun Wan is indeed jealous, it could be because this is the first time he's actually really liked someone so much to want a future with her, combined with being in a LDR with a big time difference... it can create insecurity. I really liked the conversation between Song Hwa and that patient's brother. When he told her that he had rejected his best friend's confession but later on realized that he didn't really answer her question, it was exactly what I thought when Song Hwa told Ik Jun not to tell the girl.. I had thought to myself, "but you're not saying you don't feel the same way though.." I am curious to see how Song Hwa and Ik Jun's relationship is going to evolve. I am still rooting for them! As for our Wintergarden couple... sigh... they're just so sweet! Jeong Wan is just the sweetest guy and such a gentleman! I also loved the conversation between his mom and the director friend when they were talking about the difference between their kids. LOL Lastly, Ik Jun and Uju... ugh! These two kill me! I love all of their interactions!
  21. Wait, so in the webtoon (I didn't read it), Na Bi ends up with someone else? Is this going to be another Love Alarm?? LOL Song Kang is so HOT though! If he was flirting with me like he is with Na Bi.. I don't know guys.. I may not be able to resist! To be honest, Chae Jong Hyop caught my eye immediately as soon as he appeared on screen. I was like "wait, who's the guy serving food? He's good looking!". So I was happy to see him in the preview for ep 4. Same, I also fins Jae On confusing. He doesn't care to pursue a relationship with Na Bi and yet feels jealous and cares enough about her to take care of her when she's sick. A part of me thinks that he just hasn't realized how much he actually likes her. I'm so glad that he felt threatened in ep 3 and I was so glad when Na Bi took him outside to have a talk and that she laid it out for him. I felt Jae On deserved to be told off. I don't know who the other girl is - is she Jae On's ex? Childhood friend? As for Sol, I think the male friend is cute. I don't know how Ji Wan truly feels about Sol. She doesn't seem to like it when she finds out that someone likes Sol. I'm starting to wonder if she actually has feelings for Sol but just hasn't realized it yet. One thing I have to say is that there's an awful lot of good looking people in this drama!
  22. @mademoiselle I was finally able to watch Ep 15 with subs and it looks like MM is in fact, human now. The way female deity explained it is that the butterfly dies and becomes a part of the flower? So by him dying as Doom, he’s no longer a butterfly but has transformed into a flower (human). It looks like that’s what Female Deity wanted for him after all. To be honest I still don’t get the point of it all. Does that mean that Female Deity intended for him to become human eventually but in order to do so, he had to learn some lessons which he only learned because of TDK? I also don’t understand why Female Deity isn’t dying anymore. If she had a choice, why did she suffer and die all those previous lifetimes? What is different this time? And if MM is now human, who is doing the job of being doom? Ugh, so many questions that I don’t think we’ll ever get the answers to so I’m just going to focus on the fact that they’re together again.
  23. Ok just finished watching ep 2 and seeing Na Bi kiss Jae Eon after he’s been kissing someone else literally 2 minutes prior is… I hope I’m not offending anyone here but it’s gross. There’s definitely major attraction from both Jae Eon and Na Bi but very different views on relationships. Jae Eon doesn’t see anything wrong with being attracted and acting on your emotions without necessitating a relationship while Na Bi can’t fathom being with someone unless you’re dating them. I think the problem for Na Bi is that despite knowing that Jae Eon is likely bad news, she can’t help but be swayed by the attraction and curiosity she feels for him. Can’t say I blame the girl either. I mean, it’s very very hard to resist a guy who is good looking, confident, and very forward like Jae Eon. You can see she gets herself caught in these moments where she knows she should probably run the other way and yet she also keeps talking herself into thinking that maybe it’s different… maybe she’s special to him, maybe everyone is wrong about him. That in itself is dangerous but I think she’s so into him that it’s getting to a point where she’s willing to just risk it and see where it goes. At this point, we are still seeing it all from Na Bi’s perspective. Her dilemma. I am curious to see how Jae Eon is going to be developed. Right now he’s just master player to me. Haha
  24. How is this one? Any good? Is it airing already?
