  1. @JenL Yes! The way they stare at each other is (and that KISS!!) is so mesmerizing. And yes, as per their contract, he will help her not feel any pain until she dies and he will grant her one wish as long as she "dooms" the world. But if she breaks the contract, the person she loves the most will have to die. So she plans on loving MM so that should she decide to break the contract, MM is the one who dies instead of her brother. I think MM agrees to it because it either way, he gets what he wants which is to cease to exist. Which is why he also wants her to love him. One of the scenes I really loved was the one where he shows her his world and as he quietly walks through this beautiful path of flowers, they wilt and die. She then realizes that since he represents all things sad and unpleasant, he is lonely. And then when she walks toward him, the flowers come back to life. I thought that was such a powerful scene. It's as if she brings him back to life so to speak. I personally can't wait to see how the rest of it unfolds.
  2. Female Deity doesn’t seem too happy about MM and TSG being together but I don’t really know why. Is it because she considers MM to be hers? Is it because she doesn’t want TSG to wish for the world’s doom since they cease to exist of humans don’t exist?
  3. Oh hello Song Kang! I’m definitely going to watch this one. I’m not familiar with the FL though.
  4. I could watch the kissing scene over and over again and still get goosebumps. Honestly, that kiss was soooo darn good! I wonder if female deity considers MM to be “hers”. I noticed too that she keeps emphasizing that the plant in the pot is hers but everything else isn’t. I wonder if she created MM.
  5. I’ve just finished watching all 6 episodes and have to say I’m really enjoying this one. The chemistry between the leads is insane!! The way they look at each other, to the hand-holding and the almost kisses (to the eventual kiss!!!!)... all so good!! The kissing scene in ep 6 did not disappoint. I was worried that I would be let down because the almost kisses were so good. Thankfully, when they did finally kiss, it was worth the wait. I am wondering if MM was previously human. If he was, he doesn’t seem to remember or does a very good job of hiding it. If he was human before, I wonder he ended up becoming doom. I am not sure I understand the relationship between MM and the other god. I was under the impression she created him. I don’t think they’re necessarily opposites. Rather they just serve different roles. It seems to me there is an all powerful god who created everything and they are both Demi gods of some sort. so did MM want TDK to wish for the end of the world because if the world ends, he wouldn’t have a purpose and therefore cease to exist?
  6. Jasper is eye candy in this one The role really suits him and I really love his smile! I have to say I'm only invested in the OTP and not really that interested in the side characters' love stories. I find her brother cute but that's pretty much it. LOL The scene where second ML secretly helps Shuangjao cook soup was cute. I have to say that's the only time I wavered HAHA! But I'm Gu Renqi all the way.
  7. Ugh, don’t get me started on that poorly done flashback because it was misleading! In the beginning it seemed as though he was recalling a memory he didn’t know where from and then toward the end, he knew it was her all along. Did he know she was the little girl when he first met her at that fashion show? Did he realize it was her when he read her notebook? I have no idea! Aaaannndddd, he was already obsessed with her from the moment she left her notebook behind which made no sense whatsoever! Why he held on to her notebook was beyond me.
  8. Jasper looks so darn good!! I hope it airs soon! Please tag me when this one finally airs so I can remember to watch it!
  9. I can't love this show any more than I do. Honestly brings me to tears every time I watch it. THIS!! Had me laughing so hard because I also wondered about it. I suppose it's to keep "stuff where it should be" I think it's adorable and sweet just how much Chae Rok has come to love and care for haraboji. But then again, it's impossible not to love him. I teared up when he wrote to the radio station where Eun Ho works just to cheer her up. Episode 10: TEARS!!! When halmoni told Seong Gwan she knew about the alzheimer's and how she wanted him to be able to live his life and that she would be okay with taking care of haraboji... and that she will wait until he's ready to tell her himself. And the way she squeezed Seong Gwan's hand because she didn't want haraboji to know that it was he who forgot the pan on the stove. What I love and appreciate about halmoni is how much she cares for her family. She's so thoughtful and although she nags at times, she really takes care of them in her own little way - from making them citron tea, seaweed soup, or just being supportive. When she opposed haraboji taking up ballet lessons, it was really just out of concern for him. But once she understood how much it meant to him, she was supportive all the way. She put his needs and wants before her own. The scene where Seong Gwan calls Seong San crying to tell him that haraboji is missing really made me cry too because even though they've had their differences, at the end of the day they are family and Seong Gwan still leans on his hyung when he's scared. And Seong San, despite being hard on his little brother, still worries for him. And the scene when Seong San finds haraboji, hugs him and tells him that regardless of how old he gets, haraboji will always be his rock.. I was eating my lunch and just started crying hard! Just goes to show that despite what goes on in each of their lives, despite their differences, at the end of the day they truly love each other. This really hit home for me because as an adult, I am independent of my parents but they are still my rock and comfort. When things get rough, I still find comfort in knowing they are there. Just knowing they are there gives me strength. So I could totally relate to Seong San. This episode also made me sad because it reminds me that my parents are also getting older. They now have aches and pains they didn't have before and there's always more and more doctor's appointments. And I am reminded that we have to enjoy them while they are there because we don't know what tomorrow will bring.
  10. As a parent, I think we always want what is best for our children. But I think that we also need to consider their thoughts and feelings. And there are some things they need to learn for themselves. With TMX's mom though, it's like she didn't even learn from her mistakes and just kept repeating them.
  11. This!! I hated all the scenes with the mom because she behaved like a spoiled brat and I couldn’t understand why TMX and his dad kept indulging her. She was clearly wrong and even until the end, she was still acting proud and they were still trying to appease her!
  12. @Tofu oh yes! I know her and have seen a lot of her stuff. Will definitely be checking this one out.
  13. Each episode just keeps getting better. I am so glad that Chae Rok decided to tell Seung Gwan about Haraboji’s condition. It would have been a major regret for Seung Gwan had he missed out on an opportunity to make the most out of whatever time they have left until Haraboji’s condition worsens. This not only gives Seung Gwan a chance to spend time with his father but also gives him the opportunity to see a side of haraboji he hasn’t seen before and to appreciate him even more. I really appreciate that Navillera is also exploring the relationship between parents and children. I am eager to see Chae Rok and his dad mend their relationship. I’m a little nervous about dad meeting Ho Beum. Hopefully he doesn’t do anything to him. I’m curious to see how the family is going to react to the news of his Alzheimer’s. Cant wait for tomorrow’s episode!
  14. Real life got really busy and stressful and is taking up all of my focus. I’m behind on Mouse and have not finished some of the dramas I’m watching. I hope to be more regular here but I can be a bit sporadic depending on what I’ve got on the go. Yes, dementia is the general condition describing cognitive decline and by which there are sub-classifications - one of which is Alzheimer’s. I really feel for those who suffer from dementia because they almost become a shell of themselves. To live without memories is so painful and that’s why the scene where haraboji sits on the bench, looking at his family photo and reminiscing his most precious memories was really poignant. My hope is that haraboji will be able to dance in front of people why he can still fully enjoy the experience. To be able to achieve his dream before his decline would be nice. perhaps this is what his family needs bec all his children seem to just be living. His eldest is all about being ahead career-wise but doesn’t seem to have anything else. His family life has suffered bec of it. His daughter seems to be busy with supporting her husband and it would be nice to see her pursue something for herself. his youngest seems to be lost. Not seeming to want to be a doctor anymore but not really sure what he wants to really do. I feel like he knows what he doesn’t want to do, but doesn’t really know what he wants to do. He wants to make a documentary but I’m not sure for what purpose. the grand daughter is still searching for what makes her happy.
  15. I need more days off.

I echo your sentiment....not that we get days off ...mums have no break time do they ? :idk:

  16. Gosh, I just really love this drama. Tugs at all the right heart strings and makes me miss my grandparents each time I watch it. I love that Chae Rok has started to really care for Dok Cheul (haraboji) and it was so sweet watching him follow haraboji home to make sure he gets home okay. I have to say that I am also really loving halmeuni. I wasn't sure how I felt about her in the beginning when she tore haraboji's tights but I started to really love and appreciate her when she stood up to her son when he was being rude and ungrateful. And really love how she, too, cares for Chae Rok and treats him like her a grandson. She even made citrus marinade for him just like everyone in the family. From the preview, it looks like the youngest son (the doctor) finds out about his alzheimers which is likely why he decides to make haraboji the start of his documentary.
  17. I don't even get why he's so angry really. Tang Mingxuan rejected the marriage because he did not have feelings for her and it's not like he led her on either. When she asked if he liked her, he was clear in that he only liked her as a sister. What she did was all on her - leaving without a word. I get that she was broken-hearted but I didn't think that warranted so much hatred from Fang Xiaoyou. And he was just so petty. He hit an all time low showing up drunk at Mo Fei's place. At that point I was like "just slap him!" I didn't see OGT so I can't comment on it but I thought Love Designer had such good chemistry and really natural PDA. But yes, the story was a bit all over the place. I finished this one - only because I really wanted to see how it would end but there was definitely lots of FF. Yes, I've finished it but I fast-forwarded a lot. Not my favourite but there was enough to get me to finish it. LOL
  18. It looks like all the episodes are out but waiting for eng subs. I am so annoyed with the female co-worker. Girl cannot take a hint and Nanzhou just really needs to put her in her place!
  19. @Tofu thank you!! It doesn’t look like the confession was successful?!? Ugh I need subtitles!! I just want them to be together already!! I love jealous Gu Nanzhou!! But I wish he would just tell her exactly how he feels! I’m so glad that Nanzhou’s mom is all for Qing Qing. I was worried about how she would react when she finds out about the engagement arrangement.
  20. I actually think ZH looks great in this drama. I just feel like the chemistry is lacking and the drama didn’t really do such a good job of showing us why Mingxuan fell for Mo Fei. I love all the scenes they have of holding each other while they nap though. Lol I also find the 2nd ML (Fang Xiayou) extremely annoying that I don’t even feel sympathetic for him despite his sister’s condition. I get that he loves his sister very much but his behaviour and attitude is just painful to watch. however, with all that being said, I’m still watching because I want to know how it all ends. But I have to admit I’m FF a lot because I just don’t find the side characters compelling.
  21. Yes, they really promote Chinese heritage through design in this one like Suzhou embroidery, batik, etc. It’s interesting to see it. It just sometimes feels like the story telling is patchy and there’s too many annoying side characters lol.
  22. I’m happy about this “reveal” bec it means BR is good! So HSJ was doing the murders to study their brains?! and now what? Mu Chi goes to prison to kill HSJ but HSJ gets out before he can get to him?
  23. How I feel when I read all the theories and think about what I've watched in each episode For me, the only possibility of the kids being switched is if they were switched at birth, unbeknownst to their mothers. Because from what I've seen of Ji Eun, YH is her son through and through. If she knew that her real son was still out there and it's BR, she would know or at least have some sort of inclination. Her memories are also all of YH. I like the theory that we're potentially dealing with 2 MLs. So it's not just about BR. I don't think we know as of yet whether the young child in yellow raincoat and Jae Hoon are the same child or if they're 2 different children. I guess we'll have more answers if/when the aunt shows BR his childhood photos. Also, I find BR's sense of smell changing to be somewhat interesting. Why can't he stand the smell of fermented soybean soup now when it was his favourite before? He would have had no reason to have faked that. Which clearly says to me that it's not just a matter of forgotten memories but rather there is almost a different person in him.
  24. Ok I’m on episode 8 now. I find 2nd ML (Fang Xiaoyou) very annoying. Something about the way he looks, his smug look and the way he goes after Mo Fei is very sleazy. Especially in episode 7 when he just shows up with jewelry and shoes and flowers for Mo Fei without considering for how it would look to the people around her. And also the way he tried to offer her an opportunity to be his assistant was so inappropriate. Thank goodness Mo Fei is honest and fair. In comparison, Tang Mingxian is more respectful and supports Mo Fei in all the right ways and also tries to really get to know her. One thing I don’t like very much about this drama is that Tang Mingxian fell so quickly for Mo Fei and I’d like to understand better what made him like her. I find Mo Fei’s brother (can’t remember his name right now) adorable. He’s model material for sure but I like that he’s kind and sweet. I like the relationship between the siblings and how they’re both hardworking and supportive of each other.
