  1. @im0202 @abs-oluteM @bairama The news of COVID-19 in Singapore is concerning. Lotsa SG chingu here, hope you all take care. I thought this was Lord of the Rings but S at the end didn't make sense 😅
  2. I wonder if she might ended up staying at the police brother's place and the police brother goes to sleep at Moo Hak's?! LOL coz it's unlikely both men would want to let Dali sleep at each other's place and be alone with one of them! I think Moo Hak owns the apartment around him, or at least one top and bottom units. He rents the top out for investment and he stayed at the ground one. I'm also thinking if he didn't go for a bigger one purely because he didn't want to "waste" money. It's quite confusing of the way he spends, I need a better understanding of it because he obviously does spend on expensive clothings however just exactly how expensive is he willing to go? And obviously he tries to buy from places he can get a discount (as we've seen) LOL. Do Louis Vutton ever go on sales??? Hahaha, I just unintentionally reveal I'm not a branded kind of person and have no knowledge on expensive brands. Please educate me a little and gently. 😅
  3. Hahahahaha! My imagination (or more so memory) of Cheongsimwon is smaller and just black. But how come you imagined it to be chocolate covered nuts? It'd be a dessert, not a medicine xD although theoretically chocolates to some people are healing too for the stress, LOL!
  4. The second Twitter post re: translations clarification mentioned the closed captions followed the dubbed English audio version. This is why it is different to the subbed version's English subtitles. I do have to ask, what does "Gang-bu" mean? I watch in Chinese subtitles and it just literally translate it to a Chinese Character (or Hanja?) with the same pronunciation of "Gang-bu" and didn't elaborate.
  5. Yeah! I remember he asked something very straight-forward which others don't dare to ask or at least only ask when it's close to that person but Je Hoon asked in such an innocent way that isn't offensive LMAO. But I don't remember whether it was about marriage hahaha Did they? Forgot about that.
  6. Yes he is more easy-going and seems to be easily blend in & quick to loosen up. It's evident in 3 Meals A Day. Jun Yeol is ok too but I think coz he's an independant type of traveller and travels on his own so he's used to his own schedule/pace. I remember that scene, the show spent a long time showing this part. It did look like JY was about to lose his temper lol but was holding in coz they're filming xD Did you watch 3 meals a day with LJH bit? Think I'll be watching HP's 3 Meals a day... lol Is YYS one of the actors that learnt carpentry? Because he made many furnitures in 3 Meals A Day...
  7. Failling for LJH's charm, @SilverMoonTea? xD
  8. I'm interested to see the costumes coz this is supposed to be even earlier than Goryeo (I think?) and a re-imagining era.
  9. 2021.09.29 Park Eun Bin Explains Why She “Cast Everything Aside” To Star In Upcoming Historical Drama With SF9’s Rowoon In a recent interview and pictorial for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Park Eun Bin dished on her upcoming drama “The King’s Affection”! Based on the manhwa (Korean comic) of the same name, “The King’s Affection” is a KBS drama about a pair of royal twins, one male and one female. Although the sister is initially abandoned for being female, she later disguises herself as a man to become the crown prince when her brother dies. Park Eun Bin will star in the drama as Lee Hwi, the crown prince with a shocking secret, while SF9‘s Rowoon will star as male lead Jung Ji Woon, who is Lee Hwi’s teacher. After posing for Harper’s Bazaar in a number of simple, modern fits, Park Eun Bin sat down to talk about why she knew she had to star in “The King’s Affection” no matter what. “My last historical drama was ‘Secret Door‘ in 2014,” she began. “I was just thinking that I wanted to try doing a historical drama again for the first time in a long while when I came across ‘The King’s Affection.'” “‘The story of a woman in the Joseon era living as a crown prince and becoming king’—this one line summing up the premise was so appealing,” continued Park Eun Bin. “Though there will probably be opportunities for me to act in other historical dramas in the future, I don’t think there’ll be another opportunity for me to play a king. So I cast everything aside to do ‘The King’s Affection.'” source
  10. Park Hyung Sik And Han Hyo Joo’s Upcoming Drama Unveils Mysterious Poster tvN’s upcoming drama “Happiness” (literal translation) has revealed an intriguing new poster! “Happiness” is an apocalyptic city thriller that takes place in the near future within an apartment that is stratified by social standing. The high-rise apartment housing diverse people becomes sealed off when a new infectious disease emerges, and the drama will depict the fear, fierce psychological battle, and desperate struggle for survival. “Happiness” will be a realistic horror drama in which the people become suspicious of each other in the enclosed space as their daily lives fall apart and their pre-existing values begin to waver. Han Hyo Joo stars as Yoon Sae Bom, a tactical agent in the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit who is decisive and has fast judgment. Park Hyung Shik plays Jung Yi Hyun, an intelligent and honest violent crimes detective who wants to pursue a sweet relationship with Yoon Sae Bom, who he attended high school with. On October 1, the drama released a mysterious poster that contains a scenery of an apartment where darkness has fallen. Everything appears normal, but the silhouettes in the window have a different story to tell. Yoon Sae Bom and Jung Yi Hyun lean against the window and look outside, hinting that something unusual has happened. Yoon Sae Bon, who succeeded in fulfilling her dream of owning her own place, moved to a new apartment and unexpectedly came to live with Jung Yi Hyun. Although it seems like their lives will be nothing but peaceful, they, along with other residents in the building, will get involved in an unforeseen crisis. What is the dangerous situation that has changed their daily lives, and will they be able to survive? The production team shared, “The drama is set in an apartment that is an inseparable part of our daily lives and a place where various people live together. Please watch how the variable of a ‘new infectious disease’ will change the space that is supposed to be our haven. The fierce survival of those who want to survive in extreme situations filled with an unidentified infectious disease and desires will present realistic fear. Please look forward to the performance of Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik, who will portray a new normal city thriller.” “Happiness” will premiere in November via tvN and TVING. source
  11. 2021.10.01 SF9’s Rowoon Dishes On Working With Park Eun Bin For New Romance Drama “The King’s Affection” SF9’s Rowoon has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “The King’s Affection”! Based on the manhwa (Korean comic) of the same name, “The King’s Affection” will tell the story of a pair of royal twins, one male and one female. Although the sister is initially abandoned for being female, she later disguises herself as a man to become the crown prince when her brother dies. Park Eun Bin will star in the drama as Lee Hwi, the crown prince with a shocking secret, while SF9’s Rowoon will star as male lead Jung Ji Woon, who is Lee Hwi’s teacher. “The King’s Affection” marks Rowoon’s first time acting in a historical drama, and he confessed that the setting had presented new challenges. “Unlike dramas set in the present day, there’s a limit to what you can express in a historical drama,” he said. “Because of that certain limit that I needed to adhere to, I tried to express things in new and different ways.” As for why he had been drawn to the series after reading the script, Rowoon recalled thinking, “I would be able to tell a lot of different stories [through this drama].” Describing his character, Rowoon remarked, “Although Jung Ji Woon seems sunny on the outside, there is a lot of rain hidden inside him. He’s like a feathery cloud.” “He breaks past the conventions of the era in pursuit of true freedom, but in the process, he experiences sorrow and helplessness,” he continued. “I think the road that Jung Ji Woon chooses to take will not be an easy one.” When asked what aspect of “The King’s Affection” viewers should look forward to most, Rowoon replied, “The chemistry between Hwi and Ji Woon.” He went on to explain, “In order to guard her secret, Hwi keeps a five-step distance from others. Although Ji Woon has been hurt in the past, he keeps people by his side and finds comfort in being close to them. I think it will be fun to watch the journey of these two people, who have lived their lives in opposite ways, gradually seeping into each other’s lives.” The idol-turned-actor also spoke confidently about his teamwork with co-star Park Eun Bin. “I spent a lot of time talking to Park Eun Bin on set, and we tried to fill up the narrative by coming up with ideas together,” he revealed. “Sharing our ideas and opinions with one another at every moment has become part of our everyday lives.” “The King’s Affection” will premiere on October 11 at 9:30 p.m. KST. source
  12. source Hahaha! I, too, thought it was a norm for people to lick it. In fact... Suzy, Lee Jong Suk and Jung Hae In licked it in While You Were Sleeping at the convenience shop while trying to find their connections of dreaming the future. That said, I sometimes lick it and most of the time don't. Do you guys think Moo Hak will take homeless Dali to his house and they have co-habitation?
  13. This is my favourite part of episode 4. The whole speech had my utmost attention out of the whole 2 episodes, LOL. I agreed with every word of it even though I know where she was coming from, and wanted to uphold that "family tradition" now that it's in her hands. While I don't think she was being naive and entirely impractical but I think she puts too much "faith" and "trust" in those people who once she thought were friends to her family—thinking they would help. Oh, almost forgot the main reason why this part was my favourite. It's not just scolding but Moo Hak wasn't soft on her about this even though he was head over heels with her. At that moment, he didn't care s**t about impressing her or showing her his best image. I like that he's being honest and himself, and appreciate it because he must have had it hard before he became rich and is not taking his riches for granted. I want to know how their Gamjatang became a franchise. I am interested to know how competent Moo Hak is. Did the business got this big because of Moo Hak or it was a joint father and son thing. As for Jang Tae Jin, it really is curious why he breaks up with Dali 5 years ago. At first I thought he ran off and married the daughter of Segi group but now it seems that's not the case, he owns Segi group. So I'm guessing there must be an inheritance battle in Segi Group at the time that he had to ditch Dali...
