  1. @SnT that toilet scene was even more electrifying. I can imagine him regretting it later but at that point of time, being so compelled to tell her she's living a lie. AND that he will bear the consequences, come rain or shine. For someone practical like me, even I'm so drawn to that impulsive behaviour and recklessness. This one for sure. Zhang Yun Long I certainly enjoyed the little screen time he had in Tears in Heaven but whether his acting is really as good as Liu Xue Yi, I dunno.
  2. credit: wetv @SnT I told him, my computer, ahem " Here I am, take me." What a dark, smouldering look. I suspect we will see later on that there's more cheating going on with the fiance or more indecent behaviour. There was this conversation where he said he knows how to twirl her around his finger - what a scumbag. Oh, yesterday and today the episodes were released around noon, MY time, so I was hopping around in glee. Can't wait for noon tomorrow, from the previews, he's not gonna let that line stop him (if you've watched till E08, you know what I mean). I agree, it's a bit of the forbidden fruit thingie, tastes tons better though (cackling away)! Doubly agree, there's more chemistry between these two than with CY in SBM and I really hope this drama propels the ML forward, and that people recognise his abilities, so we get to see him more as ML.
  3. He was 2nd/3rd ML in Jun Jiu Ling, the sort of ML that sets a standard for what a gentlemen should be but of course the FL prefers the roguish ML over him (rolls eyes and laughs). Prior to that he was in the Legend of Yun Xi and The Blooms at Ru Yi Pavillion and Young Blood - always in secondary roles. But pretty good acting.
  4. indeed, when marriage takes place in E12, and there's 28 episodes to go, what would you expect? Me too, I just saw the trailers... sigh.
  5. @Tofu Yes, I read that too. @Yana I didn't like the orangey tone around her eyes, which was present in both The Legend of YX and The Blooms at RYP. Here, it's less obvious, so I am thankful for that. But what I really like about the ML's character so far is he really understands her. It's not just physical attraction, he really can read her well, why she does something, why she says something. And that gives me a 'rare' moment of satisfaction. Their interactions in E12 were really, really sweet. I hope you both enjoy these scenes, and hopefully there will be more to come.
  6. Well, with the removal of VVIP, it's still not quite the same for everyone, depending on whether you know where to access VIP or not, either FOC or if one has decided to pay to get access to VIP. @Tofu Sshhh don't tell anyone, but I could not resist JZ and watched some episodes [ahem, some here means (shamefacedly) whatever has been aired]. If it's any comfort, he's not as confident here as in Time Flies (at least not for now) and he's feeling inferior to JJY's character who is a princess by birth (from the mother's side). JJY still reminds me of her 2 other period dramas, although slightly toned down, but the tell-tale signs are still there from her facial expressions to her gestures.
  7. @Tofu I will give face to Bai Yu and watch one episode at least. LOL
  8. Yes, surprise, surprise. I'll hang on till next week Tuesday to watch it. At least, by then there would be 18 episodes out. It's gonna be a long wait till Nov 22, sigh, for the entire 40 episodes, now that's there no more flooding of eps. @Yana someone I know watched a bit of E01 and said it's pretty good. I think with JZ there, it can't be that bad, honestly. Only thing is that when I watched it, it really reminded me of him in Time Flies. @NiteWalker lazy to type the full length of the drama title.
  9. @Tofu yes, I wanna see Joseph Zeng in action again. However, the trailer reminds me of his role in Time Flies... And as for the FL, well, it feels like 3rd time watching her character since The Legend of XXX.
  10. yah the current mainland dramas are nothing to shout about, really just for pure entertainment and when I do so, I hold off as much judgement as possible. If I get too critical, there wouldn't be anything to watch (though in Republican era, The Justice was quite good).
  11. @Tofu seems like quite a few dramas I am looking forward to will only air in 2022, and this is one of them :P Elvish looking Chen Zhe Yuan looks interesting.
  12. @NiteWalker looking forward to this - first time he's a proper ML. Despite how ppl say he has gone under the knife excessively.
  13. @NiteWalker did you hear the news on the internet? That there won't be advance paid episodes anymore on Tencent, iQiyi and Youku? Which means no more flooding of episodes?? https://www.newsdirectory3.com/iqiyi-tencent-video-and-youku-will-cancel-the-advanced-on-demand-service-of-drama-series-and-stop-the-update-of-advanced-on-demand-content-west-china-shaanxi-news-network/
  14. I've just finished watching E30 and am enjoying the process JJL took to get to where she's arrived at. It's truly ironical...
  15. Yes, for sure, expect to see episodes being reduced. In fact, at one time last year, it was officially announced that they would want dramas to reduce the number of episodes, as the intention to drag it out is for advertising income and the show becomes draggy. So yah, do expect occasionally bad editing.
  16. @Tofu @abs-oluteM I watched 1 min to see what Neo Hou was like, and my reaction was, erh, I like him in costume drama better. I saw him in A Girl Like Me, and though his acting was rather unnatural at times, I enjoyed my eye-candy immensely.
  17. lol, I know what you mean. I have a really bad habit, if we were to divide 66 into 4 parts right, I would skip from episode 40 till 50ish, then watch seriously from 54 till the end. Usually those parts are draggy and things typically aren't going well for the protagonist...but you know what, who knows censorship will slash and it won't be 66 by the time it's released. LOL
  18. @Tofu @abs-oluteM Actually I am picky about political dramas (LOL) but you are spot on, if Zhao Lu Si is there AND it's a costume-drama, then I am very likely to watch it. I skipped her recent modern drama, didn't quite fancy the storyline as well. But Wu Lei, I missed him in Long Ballad and I haven't seen him since NOF, so all the more reason I will watch. Just that it's 66 episodes, sigh. You know I'll likely wait for mid-point to start watching as I don't want to wait and wait and wait for the new episodes.
  19. mid-20s, and I asked hubs to guess his age, so guy's evaluation as well. LOL
  20. yes, yes, do watch - it's a really fun watch and bcoz it's short, there gonna be very little draggy parts, I think, fingers crossed! (coz it's only at E10 now). The FL is 27, the ML is 19, and for that alone, u gotta at least watch 1 episode and be amazed that you can't tell he's 19.
  21. Awww....really that many to watch? I only have this and My Sensibility, Your Destiny (which I started watching yesterday. started yesterday, ends Oct 2, 24 episodes, short and nice), while waiting for Rosy Zhao and Xu Kai Cheng (22/9 premiere).
  22. This reverse harem concept must be catching on, considering it's happening with JJL, our Peng Xiao Ran. I really don't mind though, for a change to have males vying for the attention of females. I hope if this really becomes popular that some men somewhere don't feel threatened and ban such films, citing that this is totally unnatural/immoral behaviour. [sigh]
  23. (jumping up and down excitedly) "Me wanna watch, me wanna watch, and I don't care even if it's similar storyline to In A Class XXX"
