On March 4, the boy group won the award for 'Favorite Music Group' at the 'Kids' Choice Awards 2023,' where they were nominated alongside BLACKPINK, 5 Seconds of Summer, Black Eyed Peas, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Panic! At The Disco, and Paramore.

 

This is the fourth consecutive year that the group has won the award, having previously been named 'Favorite Music Group' at the award shows in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

 

Meanwhile, aside from 'Favorite Music Group,' other awards BTS has brought home in previous 'Kids' Choice Awards' ceremonies include 'Favorite Global Music Star' in 2018 and 'Favorite Global Music Star' and 'Favorite Song' for "Dynamite" in 2020.

Guess we're waiting on announcements about who will be next now that we know that j-hope is waiting to be called up and Suga will revoke his deferral once he's done with his mini-world tour.

 

Btw, I managed to get Agust D tickets! I've been listening to his 2 mixtapes as well as his solo tracks from BTS albums. If he does drop a new album prior to the concert, I think I'll be over the moon.

BTS member J-hope's debut record 'Hope World' achieved a new milestone on Spotify.

 

J-hope's 'Hope World,' which features the title track "Daydream," now exceeded 500 million cumulative streams on the platform. Released on March 2, 2018, the rapper's debut mixtape hit the milestone 5 years after its release.

 

'Hope World' has become J-hope's first-ever album to hit 500 million Spotify streams. In addition, it has become the most-streamed solo debut record by a Korean solo artist to reach this milestone on the platform.

The first self-written song from Jimin of BTS topped the iTunes top songs chart in 51 regions, according to label Big Hit Music on Tuesday.

 

Single “Promise” was unveiled in 2018 through music platform SoundCloud.

 

Another work of his “Christmas Love” from 2020 claimed the No. 1 spot on the chart in 17 regions. It was a surprise gift dropped on Christmas Eve and still holds the record among K-pop solo musicians for logging 10 million views on YouTube.

 

The artist officially published the two songs on music platforms amid high expectations for his first solo album, “Face.” The album is due out on March 24.

 

Separately, luxury jewelry house Tiffany ＆ Co. named Jimin its newest brand ambassador last week.

K-pop superstar BTS’ anthology album "Proof" has successfully guarded its place within the Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” for the 38 consecutive weeks.

 

According to the list disclosed by Billboard on March 7 (US Time) BTS' “Proof” has charted at 174th within “Billboard 200,” moreover the album was ranked 3rd on the “World Album” chart and 63rd on “Top Current Album” chart.

 

Continuing on RM's first solo album “Indigo” was charted as 11th on the “Top Current Album” chart and 67th on “Top Album Sales” chart whereas Jin's first solo single track “The Astronaut” re-entered the chart as 7th within “World Digital Song Sales” chart.

BTS member Jungkook's "Stay Alive" has achieved a new milestone on Spotify.

 

According to Spotify's most recent update, "Stay Alive," which was performed by the group's vocalist Jungkook and produced by their rapper SUGA, officially exceeded 200 million streams on Spotify, becoming his second song to do so under his solo profile on the platform, after "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth.

Magic Strawberry Sound also unveiled a teaser image for the song's music video in which RM, leader of the K-pop septet BTS, and So!YoON! stand back-to-back.

 

"Smoke Sprite" is the main track of her second individual full-length album, "Episode 1: Love," set to drop Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Suga of BTS donated 100 million won ($75,700) to support relief efforts in Turkey and Syria in the aftermath of the major earthquakes there.

 

Global NGO Save the Children on Thursday said Suga delivered the 100 million won fund to the organization to help the children who have been affected by the disaster.

 

The producer-rapper of BTS turned 30 on Thursday.

 

The organization added that Suga's donation will be used to buy blankets, mattresses, stationery and other relief supplies and deliver them to children in the earthquake-stricken region.

 

"So many children and families have been damaged by the earthquakes. I express condolences to the survivors and victims," the singer was quoted saying in the NGO's statement. He continued, "I hope (my donation) might help the children who are suffering and hope it can be used to support relief goods for the children."

 

Suga has actively participated in charities in the recent years.

 

For his last birthday, he donated 100 million won to aid the recovery work in North Gyeongsang Province, Daegu and Korea's eastern coastal areas that were ravaged by a massive wildfire. In 2021, he delivered the same amount on his birthday to Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital in his native city of Daegu to help child cancer patients.

 

He also gave funds to Daegu in 2020 when the city was hit particularly hard by COVID-19, as well as to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Association in 2019 in the name of Army, BTS' fan club.
