The program on Monday announced through its official social media that Suga will appear as a guest on the talk show on May 1. Suga is returning to the “Tonight Show” for the first time in a year and nine months since he appeared with Bangtan Sonyeondan in July 2021.

Melon, a local music streaming service, said Wednesday it has created a forest named after K-pop supergroup Bangtan Sonyeondan as part of its eco-friendly project.

 

Located in Nanji Han River Park in western Seoul, Bangtan Sonyeondan Forest consists of three fringe trees and 400 sacred bamboo trees, the service said, adding the trees were bought with money donated by its subscribers.

 

According to the service, when subscribers select their favorite singer's name on the project homepage, 2 percent of their monthly payment is saved as a donation. Once the donation reaches 20 million won ($16,762), it is donated to the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement, which will then use the funds to create a forest named after the chosen singer in Seoul.

 

Bangtan Sonyeondan became the first artist, among both domestic and foreign musicians, to exceed 20 million won in fan donations through the project last month.

Suga of K-pop supergroup Bangtan Sonyeondan

has kicked off his first world tour as a solo artist in the United States, his agency said Thursday.

 

The "Suga | Agust D-Day" tour, which started at UBS Arena in Belmont, New York, on Wednesday (U.S. time), will take him to nine cities around the world for two months, according to Big Hit Music.

 

The rapper will perform tracks on his first official solo album, "D-Day," which he dropped under his other stage name of Agust D, as well as those on his mixtapes "Agust D" (2016) and "D-2" (2020) during the tour, as the three titles comprise his "Agust D" trilogy. 

"The tour focuses on the stories of Suga before and after his debut and facing several turning points and Agust D," the agency said in a release. "The stage setting and the set list will also be made to best showcase the history of his changes and the Agust D trilogy."

 

Suga expressed his anticipation for the tour, which also marks the first solo world tour by a Bangtan Sonyeondan member.

 

"I've practiced continuously for this solo tour," he said through the agency. "I feel more comfortable than ever before and am thrilled to meet you Army. I hope you will enjoy my shows."

Suga live in New York: a show-stopping statement of artistic intent at the Bangtan Sonyeondan rapper’s debut solo tour in UBS Arena, Elmont, New York on April, 27. His first solo tour starts with a bang quite literally. After rainy graphics pour down on the screen at the back of the stage, accompanied by the sound of continuous showers, a loud crash and an explosion of pyro jolts the UBS Arena into action.

 

The attention-grabbing opening is a nod to the motorcycle accident the Bangtan Sonyeondan rapper experienced during his trainee days. It's depicted vividly in a video that plays before he takes the stage, featuring the star lying in a rain-soaked street, visions of the past and future cutting over shots of his prone body.

 

Dramatic stage-setting complete, the time comes for Suga Agust D, the name his solo work has been released under so far to enter the spotlight for real instead of the usual route of bounding up onto his platform and he’s instead carried on by dancers who lay him on his back on the stage, recreating the pose we’ve just seen on screen.

 

Mystery abounds as lightning flashes across the screen and the sound of traditional instruments reverberates in the background until the first notes of 'Haegeum' resound around the arena and he leaps up, accelerating the energy in an instant.

There are also chances for Suga to display his underrated vocal skills, adeptly nailing the hook of 'Life Goes On' and in a surprise move, taking over collaborator Max's lines in a fiery, fierce version of 'Burn It'. No matter how flawless these performances are, rap is still his forte and his bar-spitting abilities are second to none tonight. The quick-fire delivery of 'Agust D''s second verse with barely a pause for air is jaw-droppingly impressive, while a ferocious medley of 'Cypher pt.3: Killer', 'Cypher pt.4', 'UGH! ', the deep cut and fan favourite 'Ddaeng', and 'HUH?!' goes so hard it feels like the entire venue could combust at any second.

 

A bruising version of ‘Amygdala’, in which Suga sings in increasingly raw and urgent tones, brings the main show to a close, flames licking at the feet of the final panel that forms the remainder of the stage. After a brief intermission, he returns, bathed in orange light that gives the impression he is rising like his own phoenix from the ashes.

Bangtan Sonyeondan Jimin was spotted at his fellow member’s most recent concert slated for the Newark (U.S.) audience in Prudential Centre. Other worldwide fans attending the concert couldn’t believe their eyes when they recognised who was enjoying the magical night beside them at the location. Eventually, Jimin took a bow while standing amidst the raging Newark crowd when Bangtan Sonyeondan Suga called out his name and announced his presence among the audience.

 

This particular song has been a much-talked-about concern among the group’s fans their dream was ultimately answered. Bangtan Sonyeondan released their long-running anthology album Proof. The 3rd CD of this album included several demos of songs that Army have come to love over the years.

Bangtan Sonyeondan RM who has been a part of various chart-topping collaborations in the past few months, is coming up with a new track on R&B singer Colde’s upcoming album. Titled Love Part 2 and consisting of eight tracks in total. In the album's official tracklist, which was released on May, 1.

 

R&B singer-songwriter Colde's revealed details for all eight tracks, unveiling the album's collaborating artists Exo's Baekhyun, Bangtan Sonyeondan RM and Akmu's Chanhyuk. According to the tracklist, the album's title tracks will be "Don't Ever Say Love Me (feat. Bangtan Sonyeondan RM)," "I'm Still Here," and "Heartbreak Club (feat. Akmu's Chanhyuk)." Baekhyun will be featured on B-side track "When Dawn Comes Again."

 

Recently, RM also collaborated with Se So Neon’s So Yoon for the track Smoke Sprite and even featured in the music video. While his popular collaboration with Balming Tiger for the track Sexy Nukim won Collaboration of the Year and Music Video of the Year at the 2023 Korean Hip-hop Awards. Meanwhile, Colde's Love Part 2 album is scheduled to be released on May, 4  at 6 p.m.

Bangtan Sonyeondan RM trends on Twitter after bagging not one but two awards for his solo song. Earlier today, the rapper-singer was awarded under two categories at the 1st season of the KM Chart Award Ceremony for the song Wild Flower featuring Youjeen. Worldwide fans of the artist took it to the platform to celebrate the win and the hashtags under his name became one of the most trending topics worldwide quickly became one of the top trends.

 

 

 

 

 

The award ceremony is a collaboration between K-pop fan voting applications Idol Champ and My1Pick. The platforms are typically used to vote and support various South Korean celebrities, like solo artists, K-pop idols, boy and girl groups, Korean actors and more. This event is newly introduced, and various artists were nominated for various categories. RM was nominated for the Best K-Music category along with many other artists, including his group mate Jungkook for the FIFA World Cup 2023 theme song Dreamers.
