  1. Damnn I haven't been on my own thread for ages! I'm up to episode 5 @mademoiselle and @Tofu I just love Lee Jae Wook and Go Youn Jung so much So much chemistry and slow burn romantic tension I've been meaning to write a proper write up but still 3 eps behind
  2. Yay! So nice to hear from you! The trailers do look beuatiful and are such a link to the past drama Do you know if the film will be showing in cienmas in Singapore?
  3. Putting a whole bunch of interviews here. I'm hoping to sub some at some point: Press con
  4. I have to admit I didn't finished One Dollar Lawyer, though I think I will get back to it because I love NGM, so can't say I saw all of her acting. But that character was a bit annoying Now I'm lurking on the KBS awards and diidn't realise LSG had cut his hair. It's like army cut Hope he's holding up given all the stuff that happened with Hook Enertainment not that long ago. Hahaha is it just me or are all the best couples that won at KBS' drama awards wearing white except for one? It looks like a mass wedding ceremony
  5. SBS ben reminding us that Taxi Driver season 2 is on it's way with the main cast presenting awards. Damn, Lee Je Hoon sure is fine!
  6. This is true! I'm very lazy with creating threads because I know I'll abandon them halfway through because I'm chaotic like that HAHAHAHA sorrrryyyyyyyyy. It was a combination of: a) I caught feelings for someone irl and unfortunately he took time away from watching LJW since I just spent my time being anxious about him How dare he do this to me though? LJW should always be Husband number #1 b) I was, I suspect, subconciously feeling sad about not getting to see LJW in real life, so it was hard to click on his content c) I was really busy with work etc and when I got home I was superrrrr tired. There was a few nights I slept before midnight which is unheard of for me! BUTTTTT I'm back to normal and ready to worship LJW in the last weeks of this drama and to tune into his fan meets across Asia HE IS SO HANDSOME IN AOS S2!!!! Hahaha I'm amazed how you @Tofu and @mademoiselle have NOT watched S1, but can watch S2. Do you even understand the convoluted story?! I guess S2 is kind of stand alone anyway if you don't particularly care about the interwining of the 3 female lead characters and understand at the heart of it, she is Naksu Hahaha, I'm here now, I'm here now I may be somewhat flakey and disappear for unexplained periods , but I'll always love LJW deep in my heart Paiiiinnnnn....haha I knew it was being rescheduled, but they made it a private event I wonder if the main LJW channel on YT has subbed this content Mannnn, I wish this too! Why does this stuff always happen to people who are not fans?! But if he was on my flight I'd totally faint
  7. Hahaha Kim Ji Eun from One Dollar Lawyer just won for supporting actor in Romance or Comedy (I think) and she full whipped out a written speech Her team all laughed and seemed to think she was cute, especially NGM who she thanked of course. Also Kim Min Gue is so cute. He was like the opposite. Blanked out in his speeches!
  8. And the entire Business Proposal reunion when they all won those Best Couple Awards: Hahaha I have been summoned!!! Why is Chae Jong Hyeop so cute all the time??? *But I actually haven't been watching the KBS awards properly...CJH is only there for that sports drama of his that I didn't like!
  9. No surprises on 2 best couple nominations for Business Proposal's couples!!! Aawww cute both couples won Favourite moments from SBS Drama awards: This reunion from Racket Boys!
  10. Happy New Year! Hope this upcoming year will be amazing! If I had to reflect on 2022, I think the highs were high and the lows were low....but maybe that's every year in a weird way? I don't think there's a year I've had that was without its challenges. I think last year was worse for me. This year has had some carry over events from last year. I had a hard time finding my feet at first, especially when I had to deal with those deparessing moments. But I've been really happy the last few months! It's not that everything has worked out (far from it!), but maybe more that I've adopted a more stoic way of dealing with disappointments? I think I've been able to accept things as they are and adopt a more positive mindset, which has been helpful, so I'm grateful for that. And it's been so lovely to meet new people in my life who have made it shiney Here's hoping 2023 will bring you a lot of happiness and peace! Also hoping it'll bring you closer to any goals or dreams you have in your life ALSO HOPING THIS IS A BETTER YEAR FOR KDRAMAS
  11. Wow this year Dispatch didn't have to do much snopping. The stars are really just self reporting on their love lives. But poor agencie PR people...when you just wanted to have a day off and celebrate your new years and you get hit with having to think of a good way of reporting this stuff (which you probably already knew about ages ago and idn't even fun news for you!)
  12. Yeah I saw the hashtag pop up on Twitter and figured I'd probbably missed it. Hard to know what to prioritize at the moment between - watch AoS, watch SOOD media content or watch award shows! True! I don't even know if anyone I like will attend for KBS and SBS. I mean the things I enjoyed this year were from TVN, ENA and Netflix, so pretty awardless. I'll have it on in the background I think while I write up News Years resolutions I have heard good things about Reborn Rich from my workmate, so maybe I should try. Although honestly, I'm struggling to catch up with AoS even though it's one drama at the moment, so maybe I'll wait till next year. Also heard good thing about Under The Queen's Umbrella, though I do hesitate with Sageuk, especially if there''s no actor that I love dearly in the drama We'll see if I bite for either of these! I don't think anywhere is showing the SOOD movie here! But I will still be busy because I''m pretty sure that I'll be subbing a lot of the Alice/Greg/Patrick interviews. I looooooooooove their chemistry and trash talking so will probably translate for other SOOD fans. Hahaha LJW spiral where I am prone to following him around, but also tryng to be a realistic and practical person Yeah, it's annoying because it was so close! Actually, I'm also sad I couldn't go to Taiwan for the SOOD preimiere! There were so many sessions with signed goodies and I'm pretty sure the actors attended the Christmas pre-screenings. Sigh. Why can't they just do these events where we are? Hahaha, which Oppa's love news would break your heart most? Rowoon's news? *knocks on wood, sprinkles salt to avoid it being true* @SilverMoonTea Sorry I got so busy. Missed you though Hahaha, this list is very very you and I expected all of it, especially tsundere guy Ohhhh, I forgot about this! Actually I'm quite intrigued from the early trailor stuff. Maybe I'll watch!
  13. Hahaha I find fan wars in Kdramaland toxic enough as it is. I guess I'll never get into Kpop now I don't mind it if they're passionate but also doing productive stuff like making fan art or fan projects. The problematic ones are those who stir up drama. The ones who do hardcore stalking of the actors idols and attack or control other people 'on behalf of idol/actors' are scary. Haha I'm not a fan of LMH, but his fans would put me off anyway. I watched Boys Over Flowers when it aired. But I wonder why it propelled LMH's status so much? I know it was a huge drama in it's time and based off the much loved manga and already had well loved versions in other Asian countries. People also tend to love the Harem, poor-girl-with-many-rich-guys type storyline....but really? Why of all the dramas was it this well liked?! Harsh! Hahaha don't worry I share your sentiments. Like not hating on him, but I definitely do not care about anything to do with him either. Though I did watch Pachinko this year. But let's be honest there was a hot pastor in that series
  14. HAHAHAHA I finally watched this trailer you posted and it looks amazingI I'm actually looking forward to watching this movie with Greg Hsu after SOOD. It actually looks like it'll be very laugh out loud funny. Greg hhas played a same sex attracted character before. I forget what project, but I don't think it was as comical. Yep LJW went to Malaysia I was sad because it was such a perfect set up to see him before, but then all those sad events changed everything. To be honest, I have to admit that this kind of forced me into the long drama break I just took because even though it was a good holiday to KL, it felt disappointing just thinking about it (along with just being really busy in real life). But to be honest, I wouldn't have had a chance to see LJW really even if I had been able to go to Malaysia in December - they actually changed this event from the public event (to be held in the centre of the shopping centre, free entry for everyone to attend, but special privileges to competition winners) to a private event in the theatre at 1Utama (I wasn't even aware there was a theatre, but it might be a cinema? ) And the only way to get a ticket to the LJW fan meet was to enter a lottery by buying a Malaysian Airlines plane ticket from Malaysia to Sth Korea...some Malaysian fans did this and STILL missed out on going because their names were not drawn out Pfft, I feel so bad for them! So I didn't bother attempting to go again. He is holding paid ticketed fan meets around Asia, but I think it;ll be tricky to get to one His Korean one happens before my holidays to Korea. And then while I'm actually in Korea, he has one in Hong Kong and one in Jakata!!! If I was travelling alone I would just add on a locaion if I got a ticket...but I'm travelling with someone and they will not be happy to do this But maybe I can hang around the airport when he;s rumoured to fly out... I know, I'm starting to sound crazy at this point My sanity is still somewhat intact, I swear. And I'm not a stalker. Much. Hahaha This is literally what I was thinking when I heard this news. I guess Dispatch was late last year so they're trying to be early this year How were they so sure? Don't tell me they were like those American celebrities making out in a pool or something?! Does SJK have good English? I don't know much about him actually since he's really not one of my Oppas. He kinda looks like/ reminds me of one of my cousins so it feels wrong
  15. Guys! I finally have no plans during New Years so if you guys are also free, I am totally keen to watch award shows and alk about Oppas (I'm looking at you guys in particular @mademoiselle @abs-oluteM @SilverMoonTea and @Tofu!!!) Haha I'm so out of it - I feel like a newbie - Someone please sell me some dramas and tell me when these award shows start! I'm feeling totally overwhelmed by all the things I've missed though - coming back to dramaland at the time they're releasing the Someday or One Day movie (Today!!!) and also been catching up on Alechmy of Souls as well. Haha, I was hoping they would spread this all out!
  16. Merry Christmas everyone!!! I need to catch up on all your posts! I feel so out of the drama world and JH world! Hahaha ahhh Greg!!! But all my energies are really focused on THIS trailer!!! I'm so in love with SOOD and so happy they're making a movie that goes even further into the story Merry Christmas @abs-oluteM! Oppa I'll be spending Christmas with = Lee Jae Wook! I find him to be super good looking in Season 2 of AOS, but I've so behind (literally only watched 1 episode) since it's been non stop hanging out with people for most of November-December. Also had a couple of dates, but none of them could compare to Lee Jae Wook so I've dumped them all (jks...kind of, haha) But I'm sad that I'm soooo behind on Lee Jae Wook content that I need to do a mega watch of everything these next 3 days. I literally have not watched a drama/ variety show/ interview/ award show for like 1.5 months now But also I'm sad about the date of LJW's fan meets (there's a long story about this which I'll explain some other time).
  17. Helllooooo!!! It's been sooo long! I've just been really busy lately that I haven't watched any dramas even though baby LJW is on screen currently and haven't had time to chat here . But I have some time off for Christmas so can't wait to catch up in dramaland and hang with you guys! Let me just backtrack and read everything first
  18. Hahaha, the obsession was deep. I have to change my profile pic back to LJW. Actually, I have to update my AOS thread too. I think it's been dead for awhile? I haven't checked and the second season starts in like 5 days! Also cc-ig: @Tofu because she wants to know. HAHAHAHA I WISH I've been busy because everyone decided to be social since I came back from my trip and I've literally been going out with friends almost every night. But...
  19. Hahahaha, I lost sleep over Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo - I think because I was live watching and Netflix drops the episodes at 1am in Aus time. Also I don't tend to rewatch dramas, but I do replay cute moments and that one was full of cute moments HAHAHA. I think I answered that in one of my previous questions, but yeahh, this year's selection of dramas was surpriisingly underwhelming. Like there were so many series that looked promising or interesting and fell so flat or dragged intensely. For me, these were the most disappointing things I watched and why. The opinions may sound harsh, but I guess I've had time to reflect on them and these are my feelings now. But to be fair, it's not like I hated these shows since I finished them all without dropping - I just thought they had potential which was not utilised well at all and it was very disappointing. 1. Link: Eat, Love, Kill - The story did not make sense from start to finish (the lead character spends almost 16 episodes preparing to open a restaurant and almost doesn't do it. The body in the fridge goes from being scary to just stupid etc) and honestly the strongest episode was the ending because it was oddly happy and tied up this whole mess, thereby putting all viewers out of the misery of having to watch any more episodes of this series 2. Going to You at the Speed of 493km / Love All Play - Ugh I wanted to like this one because Chae Jong Hyeop is a massive cutie and it would have been fun to see him in a good romance. Butttt there was no chemistry between the leads, but plenty of mushy moments so it was like forced chemistry that didn't flow naturally in the story. The female lead character was very annoying/ selfish at certain moments. The sports storyline was not explained clearly, nor was the playing of the sports shot or edited well and the team spirit and sportsmanship was lacking- it's like they bullied the female lead for 10-12 episodes and then everyone decided they were friends in the last few episodes. Honestly, one of the most disappointing sports dramas I've ever watched, 3. Cafe Minamdang - Started strong with the fun humour and I loved the sleeze of con-artist shaman Seo In Guk. BUT I became irritated with the female lead character beause she didn't seem to have smarts or flexibility in solving the case and even hindered process several times. The bad guy was obvious from the start. They also revealed the bad guy too early anyway and the last half of the series reallllllly dragged. It was sad 4. Little Women - In a weird way I don't know if I'm disappointed in this drama so much as I didn't have as high expectations for it and then it actually delivered not much so it met my low expectation? I think it was a fun watch, but also just wayyy too makjang and silly, but trying to be serious? I was also put off by the main character's attitudes towards money
  20. Hahaha, damn, I only adopted like 3 or something and I don't even remember any of them?! The strongest feelings for an oppa was my Kang Tae Oh phase this year...but technically, KTO is not a new kid on the block - I had adopted him in the past, but he moved from being eyecandy to VIP tier! .Damn that was a period in time where your Twitters were flooded!..And he was only really toppled by the joint event of me developing a crush irl and me hoping to see LJW. Therefore, toppled by a real life Oppa and my permanent love, LJW Hahahaha, OMG YES. Why can't he pick better projects. Hes so pretty but he's wasting his career away Also he's so baby faced, but the keep pairing him with costars twice his age. I mean this almost literally!
  21. Ohhhh I have a list on my phone for this !!! I definitely watched wayyyy less dramas than I have in the past 2 years but still more than I did before the Pandemic in terms of scale. I am still on a drama break though which will probably end when Alchemy of Souls S2 begins because I love LJW so much. Actually, a lot of dramas this year felt pretty mediocre. Or maybe I just picked to watch the not so good ones, so it's my own fault! (I'm looking at these 3 in particular...how I finished them and actually talked about them is a mystery to me...I must have had a lot of time then: Link:Eat, Love, Die, Going to You at the Speed of 493km, Cafe Minadang) Fiinished K-Dramas -2521 -A Buiness Proposal -Pachinko -All of Us are Dead S1 -Tomorrow -My Liberation Notes -Going to You at the Speed of 493km -Hope or Dope S1 -Shooting Star -Link:Eat, Love, Die -Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo -Cafe Minadang -Alchemy of Souls S1 -Once Upon a Small Town -Little Women Dropped Kdramas -Today's Webtoon Finished Taiwanese Dramas -Rainless Love in a Godless Land -Love's Outlet -Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty Currently Watching -One Dollar Lawyer (Kdrama) -Shards of Her (Tw Drama) Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin! Although I was not emotionally traumatised or wrecked by this couple, I know ALOT of people were because I had to spend time comforting people and a fair few people told me they liked my podcast episode about the ending of this couple. Still, I would have really loved them to have figured out a way to be together. Because it was such a beautiful romance, but also because the end of the relationship meant it was also the end oof their friendship. It was such a bittersweet ending for thiis reason. Like even if they had somehow remained friends or stayed in touch, it would have been a bit more satisfying for most people? In any case, it was realistic and difficult. But I still liked the series as a whole even though a part of me wished they'd just gotten together properly. Ohhh I forgot about this one! Yes, totally agree with all you said as well! No promises for a happy ending with AOS, but I think they've put the angst in the middle so it's more likely to have a happy or at least bittersweet ending (Eg. they both die and turn into butterflies type ending) Don't hurt my LJW
  22. HELLO FRIENDS! Just popping in to say hi! I finaly have a day at home and while I've got to get a few things done I finally have a night for dramas and hanging out here and catching up on what's been going on here. I'll be back later in the day to chat. Have missed you all ~
  23. @abs-oluteM I've cooled over my KTO obsession (I think I've swung back to LJW) so I finally got around to watching Effects of a Finger flick on a Break Up and I really enjoyed it actually I suppose it was because while KTO's character was toxic, he wasn't that bad, just really, really selfish and I enjoyed watching the reflections involved in a romantic relationship breaking down. KTO does have an extremely goodacting range, being able to play self-centred guy to self-less guy (Jun Ho) convincingly at both ends. Also maybe I'm in the mood for relstionships-suck type content coz realism is sometimes very comforting too
