  1. @mademoiselleHaha I'm glad you're adopting still when all of us have been so quiiet this year! I was about to ask what those half naked guys were LJW's event got postponed indefintely the night before I flew out... so now I'm here and it's not going to happen BUT they're saying they want to reschedule it... which is worse than cancelling in my opinion because I could have reschuled my trip to match if the cancellation had been announced earlier. But to be fair they didn''t really have a lot of time to decide and in my heart I knew it was going to be put off out of respect, which is totally understandable. So while I'm totally happy to be here chilling and having a vacation and doing other things I love, I'm wondering when they'll postpone it till. If it was like next weekend, I could extend my trip or if it was next year I could take another triip...but if it's like the end of this month, that would suck...unless I stay here a month But they would have to announce it while I was here to decide Maybe I should just admit defeat and waiit tiill Korea trip next year, but it's just so much more convennient when you know they're going to turn up somewhere! Why am I so into fan meets? I don't know myself! I guess I won't have to worry about crowds now. I am also really traumatised - the day before there was a huge protest against the horse racing and there were so many people that I ran off to the quieter roads. Though it was the day after the SK incident and so I noticed there were ALOT of cops out and they evenn closed off roads and put barricades to direct pppl I was horrified when I heard of the news. At first I couldn't get my head around it and how people could get trapped like that. But a few Koreans drew stick people diagrams and explained the domino effects of how people would have fallen and gotten trapped and how those behind would not have known and continued pushing which caused death. The whole thing made me feel so sick to the stomach and I'm so heart broken for all the families. It's just extremely tragc, @abs-oluteM Haha, yep! My memories of 1U have always been busy, but it was happening I would have been there super early to get a vantage point of the best spot! Me tooooo!!! Though maybe I'll watch some now that I'm on holidays
  2. @mademoiselle You don't know Hu Yu Wei? Annie Chen's Husband? He was in a lot of dramas with the OG Taiwanese stars like Rainie Yang and Annie Chen. But then he went off to China and mainly does dramas there now. https://mydramalist.com/people/1280-hu-george (Yep it looks like he's in this)
  3. The good thing about this is that it wasn't ticketed - it's a public event, one done to promote Malaysian- Korean travel. It's not like a personal fan meet, but more like an event where he'd appear and do some interview stuff/ games. But I'm not sure about government tourism events. Many events in the Kpop world and bigger government events in SK are being cancelled since everything was so tragic and shocking. The cancelled events mostly related to Halloween though. But the official mourning period is till Nov 5th and he's due to appear in Malaysia on Nov 5th. But as it's Malaysia, I have friends/ family and there's a bunch of shops/ restaurants I wanted to visit, so I'll still be doing all the things I wanted to do regardless. Nothing has been announced either way, but I guess it's mixing in with the rest of my pre-travel anxieties
  4. AHHHHHHHH!!!! I saw the videos of him hanging with all the EY guys and AHS as well and I was so in love! Those guys are so totally handsome I hope he's still going to be in Malaysia this week because I'm actually going! But I'm not too sure anymore given the Halloween Itaewon tragedy That incident was so horrible and they're in a national period of mourning and a lot of things are being cancelled. I totally understand if they don't go ahead, but the heart is still...hoping. Although I'm not a huge fan of HSH, I think they both look good visually. So pretty
  5. Yes! I'll definitely be watching. I love Tifanny Hsu. But I've seen Chris Wu be a psycho before and he is really freaky. I've actually never thought he was hot or attractive and I kind thought his acting was over rated. But as a villain, he does the job. George Hu is in this one too, i think?
  6. Hahaha someone's photoshop! Been meaning to pop in here and respond to everyone's thoughts, but been very busy lately! I'll write sooooon. Missing TaeBin!
  7. Oh cool! I'll try a few episodes. Lately, I've been in a bit of a drama slump or break. Haven't felt like picking up many things so variety might be more fun for me. Also is it just me or is Rowoon's hair looking a little longish?!
  8. I will take a lot of pictures and probably make a vlog or recording of it Hahaha @SilverMoonTea I noticed your shocked reaction I think when Tea is at her most hyper, she changes Oppas almost weekly, so you're still pretty loyal comparatively I think they look good together, but not a strong fan of either so haven't picked up the drama...lately I think I'm in a bit of a drama slump/break. Not feeling much like watching anything aside from One Dollar Lawyer, which I'm still not up to date on. Wow reallllyyyyy I thought ithere would be some sort of sunburn cream in existance!
  9. Hahaha guess what? I've arranged my holidays around LJW's event so I can go see it. The power of my love for top tier oppas. @mademoiselle dropping the Eng sub version of that trailer
  10. I'm excited for all the Chae Jong Hyeop dramas coming out soon Feels like it's been awhile since this boy has been on scree, though technically he was on earlier in the year. I just didn't really like Love All Play
  11. @Tofu & @mademoiselle Hahaha both those shirts for YSW and KSH were horrible! I think I saw these pushed to me the day they came out because I have webtoons app on my phone. They must have invested so much to get these popular actors to do the CF. CEW just looks like he comes out of a comic anyway (welll I guess all 3 of them do) There's Eng subs if anyone wants them!
  12. I'm not lost, but this is just soooooooooo makjang! Of course, we need to revive a dead person! I am critical, but I still enjoy thiese cliffhangers where I'm like, wait, WHAAAAAT?! Also totally agree with the punch in the face. I mean, she didnt treat In Joo as a friend. More like a pawn in her game. In a way, she's just a different kind of Won Sang A Choi Do Il is the only reason I'm still here. I'm not on the ship coz In Joo annoys me, but I just wanna know if the guy is bad...or badly in love Nope you are percent correct Hahaha I was disappointed too! I mean I hate the childhood romance trope in Kdramas, but in the book it made sense and it didn't make sense that he edned up with Amy?! Ughhh. Haha also Winona Jo made a big mistake rejecting Christian Bale Laurie for sure And that was when he was at the hot young stage too Ah Kaya toast. Which can be found anywhere in Malaysia and Singapore, but least of all in some fancy restaurant. Maybe they just picked it because in my experience a lot of Koreans already seem to know what Kaya is. I was shocked that they ate it with cheese in a cafe I went to. So true! I think the writers would probably justify it as Won Sang Ah enjoyed her secret nature and being fake in front of her child. Also I guess sh only had to treat her as a pet since the housekeepers would look after her. Probably why she grew up relatively normal compared to her psycho parents Hahaha I wish I could say it's changed, but I think it's just been reinforced I know shes not her character, but she always seems to pick the exact type of characters I really dislike. And I think it's a combination of naive, unable-to-sense-danger, I'm-the-victim, needs-protection type characters. I mean In Joo in many ways reminds me of her Goblin character too. And maybe she's really good at this role, because I always feel irritated when I watch these characters. Lately I've not been too bad! 1am?
  13. Hahaha This has been my feelings the entire series. Even though I've caught up now and know what has happened up till Episode 11, I still feel like I found all the characters pretty frustrating even when they manage to get themselves out of the situation or you find out there was a bigger scheme going on. I think it's one of those series where you're meant to hate everyone a little bit, as much as you're meant to like them? I am highly critical of all of them though, especially In Joo who gets on my nerves. I can't believe it took her till episode 11 to realise that she's being greedy and there are more important things in life than money, which she already had. I wish I could empathise on the proverty front, but aside from the sister who died in the past, I felt like her obsession with money was for really superficial things. It's not like she stole the money to pay rent or buy food, but for ice cream and lip gloss? ...and then the way she tried to justify it when the lawyer was explaining how the court works was very ignorant? Selfish? Not saying he was a good lawyer, but honestly, if every person used her excuses then no one would take responsibility for embezzlements. Ignorance is not an excuse in court Good thing In Hye is able to hold her own ground as @Chocolate pointed out. Also I agree with you, of all the sisters, the somewhat cold and aloof In Hye is probably closest to the sister I'd relate to. At least she has brains and is more normal comparatively? I was tempted to drop several times, but then they hooked me on every plot twist!!! Hahaha you guys and your rules. I still can't get past the No gum rule to be honest! Mmm, I'm noot Singaporean, but I also like to complain. Like my rant above about In Joo I definitely found In Kyung annoying too in how extreme she was and her inability to just put on a face to get things done. But I feel like I'd rather take her character over In Joo as I had a hard time with her naivety, I'm-the-victim mentality, obsession with money and lack of literacy for most things. Also she'd just blurt out whatever she was thinking to the person who could just kill her? Hmmm, also the villains are a bit lame if I think about it because they could so easily kill others, but they left the 3 sisters alone? Doesn't really make sense Totally agree - I think of it almost entirely as a different project to the book. It's sooo makjang...more so than most of the things I like watching. But damn those plot twists...I just come back because of them!
  14. Hahaha yeah this was not a romantic drama in any way really. But then again, I don't think the original Little women book is very romantic either. In fact Jo (In Kyung's equivalent) ends up rejecting her childhood friend...so at least in this version it looks like she has somewhat accepted him with a hug? Or at least hasn't outright rejected him to marry an old man which is what happens in the book Oh man, this couple were all sorts of toxic! And I totally agree - it's like backstabbing, snakey Won Sang Ah and violent burte force Park Jae Sang. And then everyone who died for their entertainment or to cover up their crimes! I feel so sorry for their daughter who seems sweet and innocent. How did they manage to raise a child like that?! This is such a waste!!! Malaysia and Singapore have some of the best food in the world, but they just want home food?! Hahaha. But that drink was so artifically coloured!!! And she didn't even check the cup, so she had no concerns about the cleanliness or whether it was someone else's drink either. It was a bit of a Godilocks moment Also I would not trust a bestie who had been involved in such a complicaed situation before her death not to spike my drink
  15. HAHAHA I just watched Episode 2 and the humour is soooo my type of humour Totally chaotic I'm feeling a bit lazy and dont want to see spoilers so I'll write something proper once I've caught up!
  16. GUYYYSSSSSSSSSSS THIS NEWSSSSSS I wanna go!
  17. Yeah or I'm wondering if they're looking at who will be most popular and shove those guests on? It would be hard to pick - probably between Extraordinary You and The King's Affection? They really didn't have anyone for Sunbae huh. Ok I'll poke around on my Kdrama sites and see. I'm sure someone will point the way
  18. I just caught up and have things to say, but I'm gonna do it tomorrow. People are liking these 2 though. I see it everyone on the bird app This is a cute move on both their parts though
  19. Actually on this point today has been a bit tense with like a mini fan war between PEB & KTO fans because apparently PEB didn't mention KTO in this interview and this upset some people. Once again, I feel like fans took things out of context because they were talking about the group chat and so PEB mentioned the other 3 because it's well known that they talk a lot on the chat, while her and KTO only join in once in awhile because they're busier and not that much into texting. This is why I must tell people to listen to my latest podcast episode!!! It will help you to develop context about Park Eun bin and Kang Tae Oh and be happier as a fan rather than unhappy/ accusatory etc
  20. @innrukia So well said! Also we share the exact same thoughts because I also said all this too in a podcast! Like it's so spooky because we made almost the exact same points I think it means that it's super clear that there's a context around the dramas that shapes how the actors would act in the Behind the Scenes videos - it's not like they act the ways they do just out of personal feelings, but rather because it matches the dramas they promote. I think it wasn't cut off as such, but it just became more subtle? I also think it was very much a scheduling thing for promotions. After the drama shot to fame, they would have been booked individually, especially because they belong to different agenncies so I think it was maybe really hard to match up their schedules? Anyway, this is a good segway into my recently finished project...I think everyone whose been in this forum might take comfort in this ( @buguz @taebinfan @Kismet_06200904 @Yunn @Unnie0110 @innrukia @cico) It's a podcast episode that talks about EVERY thing that has been giving Taebin fans anxious thoughts and making them think of conspiracy theories (which I wish people would stop doing). I provide a lot of context for things like no selcas, no hugs, behind the scenes video ediiting, why PEB and KTO behave as they do behind the scenes, no photoshoot, KTO's rings...I think you'll find my points to make sense and to be quite comforting. The podcast is 2 hours long, but if you're missing EAW, it's a good discussion. The first part talks about EAW episode 13-16 and about shipping culture, but if you only want to listen the part about TaeBin and then possbilities and controversies about season 2, start from about 45 mins in and continue onwards. You can listen here: Podcast Notes If English is not your first language, and you'll have a hard time understanding, but still want to know my main points, you can just google translate a summary of my notes below. It's better to listen to the episode though because I link my arguments so that they flow much better In this episode, let's chat about these topics (Click Spoiler bar below for longer notes) 1.The rough penultimate episodes as well as the beautiful ending that unfolded in episode 16. 2. Defining Shipping culture & Comforting Taebin fans who are anxious and worry that Park Eun Bin or Kang Tae Oh don't get along. We talk about why fans 'ship' their favourite K-drama actors and what the extremes of shipping can mean.I also present a comforting analysis on why Taebin DO get along and go through and provide context for every single rumour or point of angst that I've heard from anxious fans. 3.The Possibility of a second season for Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo. Evidence for the points I make in my podcast - Related articles and Interviews: Proof that TKA selcas are agency photos rather than PEB personal photos: Park Eun Bin's agency CEO has the selcas of Rowoon and Park Eun bin on his instagram, so these are probably agency photos rather than personal sellcas Interviews where Park Eun Bin talks about wanting to maintain a pure image: Park Eun Bin Arena interview Interviews about the challenges of playing Woo Young Woo Park Eun Bin talking about staying in character while filming Park Eun Bin talks about the challenges regarding her role as Woo young Woo Park Eun Bin talking about how hard it was to play the role of Woo young Woo (Fan translation) Kang Tae Oh talking about Park Eun Bin having a hard time filming in Star One magazine (Fan translation) Interviews about how Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh enjoyed working together Kang Tae Oh talking about how well him and Park Eun Bin worked together Park Eun Bin calling Kang Tae Oh a good friend rather than just an actor she worked with (Fan translation) Proof that Kang Tae Oh and Park Eun Bin finished on different scenes: Kang Tae Oh's last outfit at 2:56 on this video Kang Tae Oh's possible last scene at 2:19 on this video va. Park Eun bin's last scene at 7:50 on this video Controversies surrounding season 2: ASTORY CEO controversial interview
  21. Damn this boy always looks so pretty! But they often put him in such questionable clothes for photoshoots as well! Still, these outfits are not as bad as past ones Hahaha you guys are going to look at me like I'm crazy but I've never watched a Kim So Hyun drama and I'm not sure if I'm a fan aesthetic wise or otherwise But I guess there's a first for everything! Also if I do end up watching Tale of Nokdu, I guess I can assess
  22. @innrukia Oooh I want to properly read and reply to your thoughts since you wrote something meaningful, so I'll do it tomorrow since it's quite late here and I'm starting to fall asleep on my keyboard I'll reply then since I also have a Taebin project to share with everyone then too!
  23. Yes! I think Steven Noh is pretty! But not sure about his hair or shirt here The styling can make or break an Oppa. How is this drama? Is it good?
  24. @mademoiselle No, I'll definitely watch because RW's guests or pool of guests are some of my faves since I've pretty much watched most of his dramas in the past fews years except Sunbae But I don't really know where to watch variety shows, actually?!
