BTS's RM is finally releasing a solo album. On the 11th, Big Hit Music announced on the global fandom life platform 'Weverse', tittled 'Indigo' the album will be released on December 2 at 2 pm KST.

 

'Indigo' is a diary-like album that contains RM's worries and thoughts. RM will showcase a wide range of music through borderless collaboration with various artists.

 

Prior to the announcement, Kim Nam Joon known professionally as RM released a mood cut along with the album name through SNS on the 10th. A close-up photo of denim aroused curiosity about the album concept with his musical skills are expected. RM has previously been recognized for his skills in writing, composing, producing, and rapping on BTS hit songs and solo mixtapes.

 

It is the third BTS member to release a solo album. Previously, J-Hope and Jin worked as soloists and gained a lot of popularity.

 

Meanwhile, RM will continue to be active in various fields. He confirmed the appearance on tvN reality show and this time the audience will see him as the MC for the new season of tvN's 'Useless Job' also known as 'The Mysterious Dictionary of Useless Miscellaneous Human Knowledge.'

It's official. BTS's Jungkook will be participating in the 'FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022' soundtrack.

 

On November 12, Big Hit Music finally confirmed what has been rumored since earlier this year - that BTS were set to perform at the opening ceremony for the 'FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022'. Although the team will not be performing at the opening ceremony, Jungkook will be taking the stage as BTS's representative.

 

The opening ceremony of the 'FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022' is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 20 at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar, on the same day as the kick-off game of the tournament, a match between Qatar and Ecuador. Currently, the members of BTS are also active as official promoters of 'The Goal of the Century', a global sustainability initiative by Hyundai Motors in partnership with the 'FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022'.

The group (BTS) collaborated with the band Coldplay last year on the song 'My Universe', which has the highest authority in the American pop music scene. BTS was named on the shortlist for the Grammy Awards.

BTS V's “Christmas Tree” is the most popular Christmas song on Spotify based on number of playlists

 

 

 

 

 

 

As Christmas approaches, holiday songs are becoming popular once again and Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, is proving himself to be the rising star for the season.

 

British media Edinburgh Live reported on the most popular Christmas songs on Spotify right now based on data provided by Slingo, an entertainment platform. 

 

Slingo compared the 100 most-frequently featured Christmas songs on various Spotify playlists. Different Christmas-related search terms were also used to get a more diverse set of playlists. 

 

According to findings, Taehyung is leading the Christmas ranking with his most recent OST, "Christmas Tree" for the K-drama series "Our Beloved Summer."

 

Based on the total number of times it has been featured in playlists, "Christmas Tree" is currently the most popular Christmas song on Spotify. It is featured across 2,172 playlists on the platform, surpassing Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You."

JK was pretty fantastic in his performance in Qatar. I think I'm still unhappy about Qatar hosting the World Cup though, and that the Qataris are determined to control so many aspects of it, especially fans' rights to be themselves and enjoy the game. I'm so disgusted with FIFA, especially the Executive Committee who is responsible for this farce. I know the IOC is almost as bad, but FIFA seems to be taking selling out to a whole new level.

 

In a way, it's really funny that the Qataris are going back on so many things, both big and small, that they had promised for this Cup. I just hope that all the players and the fans all make it through safely. It's too late for the migrant workers that they've literally worked to death.

According to the report, Jin will be entering the training center of the Front Army Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. After completing five weeks of training, he will be deployed to a front-line unit.

Group BTS won the grand prize (Daesang) for the "2022 MAMA AWARDS."

 

The "2022 MAMA AWARDS" was held in Osaka, Kyocera Dome, Japan, on the afternoon of the 29th.

 

"Worldwide Icon of the Year" is the grand prize (Daesang) for the "2022 MAMA AWARDS," which was won by one of the 10 teams that had won the "Worlwide Fans' Choice" award. Park Bogum, who came up to the stage to announce the winner, raised expectations by calling out BTS and mentioning J-Hope's appearance, saying, "I will deliver this trophy tomorrow."

Wow! Even in a year where their main album is an anthology with only 3 new songs on it, BTS still wins awards! This is without any major promotion of their songs either. The only wistful note to BTS and the Award season this year is that in some ways it all feels as if they are goodbyes. I know it's temporary, and that the guys will reunite to make music as BTS again once they have served their commitments, but they'll come back after the military and their solo activities as different people, and who knows if they will have the same intensity as a group as they did until now.

 

And, of course, we will support RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and JK in all of their future endeavors, but I already miss them as BTS. I know that some of the members were more ready than the others to do solo activities. 'Indigo' proves how much RM was working on non-BTS music, not to mention Suga's producer activities and j-hope with an entire new album and performance ready to go at Lollapalooza. Hmmm... Maybe the Rap Line was more ready than the Vocal Line to bust out on their own????

 

Anyway, I'm always happy to hear that BTS won more accolades, I'm grateful for the music, camaraderie, fun and hope that they've provided so far, and I will anticipate their future endeavors and hope that they are able to come back from their military duties with their souls and their artistry intact.

Following the roaring celebrations of South Korea's victory over Portugal, FIFA's official song "Dreamers" by Jungkook has hiked up the ranks on the live streaming chart. It entered the Top 10 for the first time after midnight in the morning of December, 3.

BTS RM released the music video for “Still Life” on Wednesday. “Still Life” is a song on RM’s first solo album “Indigo,” which was released on Dec. 2.

 

According to Big Hit Music, “Still Life” has an ambiguous meaning, referring to the term used in painting and in the sense that “it’s still life.”

 

“RM wanted to get the message across that although a still-life image is fixed inside a frame, it’s still alive, and that he’ll also move forward without being trapped inside a frame,” the label said.

 

"Indigo" is RM's first individual project since October 2018, when he released a mixtape titled "mono." "Indigo" has a total of 10 tracks, including "Wild Flower," "All Day" and "Closer.”

 

“Indigo” topped iTunes albums charts in 67 countries, including the United States, Germany, France and Italy over the weekend. RM said on Dec. 2 that "Indigo" is just like himself and will be another starting point in his nine-year musical career.

 

RM is the third BTS member to release solo music, following J-Hope, who released a solo studio album this summer, and Jin, who put out a solo single in October.

On December 9th, Korean media outlets reported BTS Jimin would join as a featuring artist for BIGBANG Taeyang's solo album, which is scheduled to be released in January next year.

 

As of writing, YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music has yet to release a statement regarding the reports.

 

Despite the lack of confirmation, expectations are high for Taeyang's first music release in five years after his 3rd regular album, "White Night," was released in August 2017. With the news of the collaboration, interest for the upcoming album has increased.

RM of the group BTS is doing well on the global chart with his first official solo album "Indigo."

 

According to the latest chart released by Spotify, the world's largest music streaming company, on the 8th (local time), "Indigo" ranked seventh on the "Weekly Top Album Global" chart. On the "Weekly Top Song Global" chart, the album's title song with Cho Yoo-jin was streamed 16.88 million times, ranking 35th, and the B-song "Still Life" ranked 182nd with 7.59 million streams.

 

Indigo is also well received in the British music market. The album ranked 45th on the "Official Album Chart" of the latest UK official chart (counting period 9-15 December), 4th on "Album Download Top 100", 4th on "Album Streaming Top 100", 41st, and 55th on " Album Sales Top 100". I'm so glad that the guys' individual projects are receiving so much love! I know that they aren't doing it for the charts or sales or anything like that. However, it's still nice that they are getting some recognition for their own artistry and not just the group's popularity.
