 "Welcome to Junho World" 

Junho was in “Superstar Survival” in 2006, a competition show that would have the winner sign a contract with an Entertainment agency JYPE. He won.

Fellow contestant were Taecyeon and Chansung, who also became part of 2PM.

He debuted as a 2pm member with the single "10 Out of 10" in September 4, 2008.

He is the group's Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer and best Acrobat.

His first released composition was "Give it to Me"  on 2011 for their Hands Up album.

Solo career started on July of 2013 with released of his Japanese album “Kimi no Koe”.

In 2013, Junho debuted as an actor in the Korean movie Cold Eyes.

He started in dramas as a supporting role in his first drama in 2016's Memory.
Junho was recognized with a villain role in the 2017 hit comedy drama Good Manager. 

 2PM due to enlistment of members from July17 2017 to Jun21, 2021.

As of February 2019, Junho is credited with a hundred songs with the Korea Music Copyright Association.

He began his military service as a public service worker on May 30, 2019 until his discharge on March 20, 2021.

He resumed activities with Korean and Japanese album release "Must" and "With Me Again" respectively; and Drama casting "Red Sleeve Cuff"

He was on “Superstar Survival” (Taecyeon and Chansung) which he won in 2006. Junho signed a contract with JYP Entertainment placing first out of 6,500 competitors.
He was almost kicked out of JYPE because of his attitude and him lagging behind fellow trainees.  His mother had to call JYP to beg for a second chance.

Due to his resemblance to Rain, he was often accused of getting plastic surgery. His training Period is 2 years. 

In 2008, he took part in Mnet's Hot Blood Men show that follows trainees to become a member of the boy band One Day, and would be 2AM and 2PM.

  • His parents wanted him to grow up as “a great and excellent man that can even reach the sky” (“Jun” = to excel and “Ho” = sky)
  • Nicknames:
    • It Nuneo/Nuneo/Juneo - in high school, Junho bought a computer game with his own money for the first time. In his rush to play it, he made a typo and entered his name as “It Nuneo,” and the name has stuck. 
    • Little Rain / LiBi - Due to his resemblance to Rain, he was called thus during his high school days and debut era. He was often accused of getting plastic surgery due to this. He has slowly shed this name nickname.
    • "The Hwangje" or Emperor - unconfirmed origin date but he is considered with "Emperor-Like" serious personality.

"Bestfriends"

They meet when they entered SBS talent competition show "Superstar Survival" and Junho first impression of  Chansung was that he was older than him. But after learning from someone that they were same-aged, JH sought out CS. He introduced himself and asked for CS's age, and they became friends. When CS was eliminated from the competition, he cried so much thinking he was not going to see CS again, only to be surprised when he finally won and learned than CS was the first to sign up with JYPE.

They are the the members that are born in 1990 with 17 days apart, they are the maknae's of the group.

Junho usually picks and targets CS for abuse cause CS, the big baby that he is, just lets JH be with his little tantrums and fiery temperament. 

JH likes talking with CS, because the latter is a good listener.

They both have the same interest, even going to similar classes and graduate school course to pursue acting.

"Hyung and Dongsaeng"

When Junho first meet Jun.K, he thought he was a gangster, because he had so much swagger. He thought he probably lived and grow up in USA, specifically in Harlem. When he finally was able to talk with JK, he learned that he was from Daegu, SK.

And like all brattish younger brothers, JH will always pick on JK to tease, whether calling him Gangster, grandpa or teasing him in whichever possible ways. 

JK, the older brother that he is, loves his dongsaengs from 2PM, but he would always pick JH as his forever dongsaeng. and would shower him with adoration which JH cringes over.

They are both share their passion for song-writing, and JH would ask JK feedback.

Wooyoung and Junho

"Twins"

Hottest calls them Twins due to different instances of confusion they get when they don't recognizable which one of the two sang parts of the songs. They are by far the best dancer in the group. There were also instances when both looked alike.

They are the most mischievous and childish members from the young boys line. Often pranking and teasing other members, especially the Hyung line.

Their most favorite target is usually the oldest, Jun.K.

As Junho usually gets sulky and loses his patience fast, and it's mommy khun to take care and be patient of this childish kid. 

Whatever Nichkhun tells, Junho, he will follow -- from who to drink with and to others things too. NK will be the one to guide and support the brat that is JH.

NK has been known to describe JH as the "choding" (elementary School Kid) for JH antics, tanrums, bratty self. He is also the first one to reign in JH in his moments of overexertion, like a "Mom"

Is it bad or good that I sometimes forget that Junho is a member of 2 PM? I thought he was fantastic in Chief Kim and really loved his chemistry with Namgoong Min, and then he totally stole my heart in Rain or Shine (aka Just Between Lovers). Whereas I didn't really pay much individual attention to him as a part of 2 PM.

 

Anyway, happy he's back from military service! Wonder if we'll get to see his post-army abs?

After diving into Junho and 2pm this year. I do realize that he was one of the least known members of the group then. Before I spiraled into this new fangirling I have for Junho, I was probably like you that had no clue that he was part of 2PM. I think, people usually associate 2pm with Nichkhun (who was probably most popular member) then Taecyeon, and probably Jason aka Wooyoung. Even Jay Park is probably more known as the former 2pm member.

I don't follow kpop now, but the 2nd generation has some of my biases. So there really is some weirdness that I am like you, in my inability or forgetfulness in thinking he was part of 2PM. 

 

In retrospect I think he is can stand as an actor more, because he did get so much more shine outside of 2pm and 2pm fandom, when he started acting. Then as he continually proved his acting caliber one project after another (earning much appreciation and adoration for his acting projects), he solidified his stardom from being an actor and then piggy backing to being in 2pm. 

 

But for Junho, he always introduces himself as 2pm's Lee Junho even in his acting projects. So He does want people to know him as part of 2PM and 2pm is part of him. Plus his musicality and idol blood is very much alive, as I have learned so much this year in stalking and following his career all through the years, he is truly active as a singer too. 

 

As for Army abs, I am not sure if Red Sleeves Cuff will have some post-army fan-service shower scene, since it is your traditional saguek, but some of his pictorials and 2pm's promotions was had given some glimpse of it.

Nice! He's definitely developed some nice abs. Plus, he has that post-military mature look going for him now that makes him look even better than when he went in.

I'm sure that he wants to be a part of 2 PM for any number of reasons. 2 PM is probably still his main occupation while he's branching out into acting. There are any number of other idols who are pretty respected for their acting ability (and even idols whose acting is more suspect) whose main occupation is still singing and being a member of a group.

 

From 2 PM, I think the only member I could really pick out was Nikhun. There was just something so endearing about him. Taec was another member whom I realized was a part of 2 PM after I saw him acting and wondered why he was cast when he was not that good.

 

I don't really listen to a lot of k-pop now, mostly just BTS, Day 6, and CN BLUE, but because of Junho, I would probably at least give a listen to anything new that 2 PM releases. But, I'm more excited about seeing him again in a drama.

yes definitely excited for his upcoming drama. still wary of the writer. But the stills and promotions has been leaving me feeling so exhilarated.

Good Manager was definitely what pushed his popularity in Korea. that is probably why he is more known as an actor for the most parts.

 

But in Japan he is pretty much one of the more popular members. Plus his Solo's are in demand and his concert are usually be sold out and packed. 

 

BTW 2PM's japanese comeback is today: Sept 29, 2021.

Between the Japanese main song "With Me Again" and Korean main Song "With Me Again". I'd pick their korean one. it feels chill and a throwback to the MY house musicality and the song that brought them reverse popularity.

That said, "With Me Again" is kinda not for me. But the teaser parts for Junho with a gun.. well, it makes me wish he does some action packed drama next.... man Junho in their promos this comeback has been lit!!!

2PM’s Junho Officially Discharged From The Military

2PM’s Junho is back!

 

On March 20, Junho was officially discharged from the military. He enlisted May 30, 2019 as a public service worker due to a shoulder injury that he had to undergo surgery for. With Junho’s discharge, all 2PM members who were required to serve in the military have completed their duties.

 

Earlier this year, JYP Entertainment announced that 2PM was planning to make a full-member comeback after Junho’s discharge. In addition to original fans of 2PM, newer fans who were introduced to 2PM through the resurgence of 2PM’s 2015 hit “My House” last year have also been waiting for Junho’s return.

 

Junho held a V LIVE broadcast on March 21 to celebrate his return and answer questions asked by his fans. The other 2PM members also made appearances during the latter half of the broadcast (with the exception of Taecyeon who was unable to attend due to his busy schedule).

You have probably heard a lot about Junho lately. He is one of the six members of the second-generation K-pop group 2PM, and he is all the rage right now in Korea. With his quirky charm and ability to be talented in basically everything he does, Junho has won the hearts of many over the years and even more so these days.

 

If you’re looking for some reasons to obsess over him or need a bit of a refresher, here are nine reasons why we’re all a tad bit obsessed with Junho.

 

1. He can dance and looks really good doing it
For as long as 2PM fans can remember, Junho was known as being one of the best dancers in the group. Whenever they appeared on variety shows, the MCs would always ask him to do a dance and would sometimes even have him compete against other dancers – he was that good. Junho is not only good at acrobatic dancing, but he can also do the suave type of dancing that makes your heart race.

2. He’s also an actor and very talented at it
Actor Junho’s debut role was as “Squirrel” in the film “Cold Eyes.” Immediately after debuting, people were thoroughly impressed with his part in the movie. Although it was a smaller role, he really showcased his versatility in showing various emotions. 4. He is bilingual
Fans were delighted to get a glimpse into Junho’s solo lifestyle when he re-appeared as a guest on “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”). His lifestyle seems very active as he likes to fill his days by being very productive. One of the skills he has continued to develop is learning Japanese. Because he is an active singer in Japan – and very successful in the country – he continues to engage in conversational Japanese, and it was revealed on the show that he is very fluent in it!

 

 

5. He loves cats

Junho was an honorary ambassador of the 24 Hour Famine that is hosted by World Vision. Five rising male actors in their 20s-30s are expected to come back to the screen after discharge from military service. They are 2PM's Lee Junho, EXO's DO Kyungsoo, HIGHLIGHT's Yoon Doo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and Lee Jong Suk.

Lee Junho has been active with 2PM's full group activities, and various variety shows since he was discharged from military service in March 2021. He will lead MBC's new historical fantasy drama series 'The Red Sleeve Cuff.' The drama will premiere on November 5.
