Yeah its windy here...still is, been like that all day. Just means tomorrow theres gonna be small tree branches and crap everywhere hahaha.

Don't mind the craps. I just hope no more people losing electricity. It's windy still at my end but not continuously and as strong as before. Glad that it only started after I got home.

I can't imagine Krystal vs KJW pairing at the moment. Will have to wait for the trailer to know. Dunno why but I'm expecting them to bicker a lot ... and I don't mind the storyline of a couple not in love but fell in love after (fake) marriage. LOL.

  2. Episode 7

The murder mystery is progressing at snail pace here. I read on weibo about how the story-telling is messy and all over the place for this drama. I must admit I agree it is. I don't mind the romance but I think it's out of balance at the moment.

It's nice that we get a bit more backstory to Ga Young. It's still unclear as to why she's in pain as it isn't shown (although I think her character description has covered that bit) but at least she shared how she and Young Do got married. Her antics made me laugh. I can't decide whether I'll like her in the real world or be completely annoyed. But in the drama, I'd go for it's fun/funny to watch her fluster both Young Do and Da Jung.

I wish Young Do's fever would last a bit longer as I was fully anticipating Da Jung to be taking care of him - typical drama trope but I love it. @SilverMoonTea For me I think the highlight of this episode is the emotional portrayal from the 3 main leads. Ga Young pretending to be chirpy but the moment Da Jung asked if she's OK, she broke down in tears. How lovely that the young idol truly loves her and I love that he went to see Young Do to better understand Ga Young and how to get her back. We can feel his sincerity and eventually Ga Young will feel it too. At least that's what I think the writer is going towards for Ga Young.

And of course Young Do, finally opening up to Da Jung about himself and confesses. Like you said, that scene really tug at my heartstring as my heart aches a little (but in a positive way). I also love the scene he lost his cool after finding out she's hurt. Eeeek. Hawt. LOL. It looks like the two were going to kiss in E8 preview.

I'm still intrigued by the twins portrayed by Yoon Park. They are dragging this out a lot but the little crumbs I get is really stringing me along. I feel terrible for Ian Chase. How horrible the mother abandoned him and never gave him a name of his own. Personally I was disgusted he had to share toothbrushes with the kids. He's still traumatised by it, I remember, because I think he asked for extra toothbrushes or something like that when he checks in...?

  3. @TRaNz Is it super windy at your end? At this rate, it's gonna be another windy disaster tomorrow~

The Crazy Love plot is weird. Will pretending amnesia prevent him from being murdered, LOL. And why does she have to pretend to be his fiancee? But it's interesting enough to check it out HAHA. Surprisingly KJW is quite good with rom com. I'm also surprised his next project is another rom com... only because before Her Private Life, he's never taken on rom com.

Hahaha, you and your bias! :lenny:  Rowoon's picture is blurry coz all the screenshots from videos were slightly blurry...the only really clear ones were Kang Tae Oh and Lee Joon Hyuk since they seem like stills.

In my opinion, the least offensive wearers are either Jang Ga Ram / Jeong Yun Ho (you all thought I'd say Lee Jae Wook right? :lenny:). I think because the Orange and blue jumpers seem less bright...or maybe the wearers are in matching looking backgrounds? The others just scream out weird bright colours to me.

Rowoon looks like a caterpillar to me :Sherlockapie: But an attractive caterpillar...just like Lee Jae Wook is attractive bumblebee

Bwahahaha he looks good in there - perfect hair and jawline with awesome singing, kekeke. I honestly didn't notice/care what he wore. It may not be clearer than KTO's still but he still looks the best. :lmao2:

I am shocked that there are so many who wore the neon green version. Personally I'm not an orange person so that definitely is not a colour I'd pick but agree that it is less offensive than the purple red. That combination is just hideous.

    :lmao2: Caterpillar Rowoon :lmao2:

    From this :Sherlockapie:

    green-caterpillar-identification.jpg

to a beautiful human in blue sweater with revealing back

    :lmao2:

P.S. After this sweater, Rowoon never wears anything revealing :lmao2: He knows his fans are too pervy :lmao2:

P.S P.S. I was fine with butterflies before (Navillera) but now I'm not thanks to Nevertheless! So I really didn't wanna say caterpillar Rowoon turns into a butterfly! :duckPHAT:

  5. Episode 15

AAAHHHHHHH... the cliffhanger!!! Can't believe I've to wait til next week. I'm just going to assume my Racket Boys won because Coach Yoon did a fantastic job strategising their schedule against the opponents' weakness! That's what a professional coach does! Coach Yoon has grown so much himself. *sniff* Hae Kang has an awesome mum and dad as coaches.

So this is to say Hae Kang's eye is OK right? He just hasn't fully recovered, that's all. Nothing too serious and nothing to worry about. It was just a red-herring from last episode to make us worry for one whole week!! :duckPHAT:

I LOL-ed loudly when Coach Yoon told the boys they are cooler than BTS! :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2: This I have to ask BTS fan @stroppyse - what do you think? Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

I think the last two episodes focus on the results of growth of the boys (as well as the coaches). Young Tae free himself from imitating Lee Yong Dae and play to the best of his own style. Yoon Dam got over whatever he's feeling (not sure I understand what is it he's feeling but he seems to crave for some pressure??) and Woo Chan gets his chance to play on the court too.

I honestly was annoyed at Oh Jae Seok being a jerk to the boys. It's a bit off for his character all of a sudden. I thought they were friends! Even if they are opponents on the court, there is no need to be this harsh. He was condescending and was threatening Young Tae before the match. That's so snobbish.

I can't say I understand why must White wolf coach had to ditch the boys now but I'm glad he stopped by to show his support and give Yoon Dam a good push. He also hit 2 birds with 1 stone with motivating Tae Seon. I think in a way he chose to leave and support Tae Seon because Tae Seon is a son to him. They had the father-son bond there that I don't think Coach Bae has with the Racket Boys. Obviously I'd love to see Tae Seon play too but I also understand why the story didn't really need to. Plus I don't think I'm too convinced he could get back into badminton so quickly (unless he's never given up and had been practising all this while).

  7. @Tofu @abs-oluteM @JenL someone needs to do a mesh-up of 18 Again and this hahahahaha

    img.gif

I can see how hilarious it would be with Lee Do Hyun yelling, "Mwo? I'm not her first love!!"

    -------------

@JenL Thank you for collating the stripy jumper photos!

I declare Rowoon looks the BEST in that stripy jumper. Or it's just the best screenshot out of the lot or my biases talking, bwahahahahahahaha. I think blue/black is not too bad. I'm surprised there's no red/black. I think the dark green, blue and red would be the best combination with the black stripes.

BLOODY EXPENSIVE though. Hmm... Angora is fur from rabbits! :pandascared: I did not know we wear rabbit furs too!

The drama’s producers commented, “Along with the emotional changes of Park Jae Uhn and other characters who realized how they feel, the romance line will become more complicated. Park Jae Uhn and Yoo Na Bi, who are conscious of each other, will make hearts flutter. Please pay attention to the emotional changes of these young people.”

    ---

    LOL, I doubt it. xD

Plus she's still "addicted" to Jae Eon, kinda don't think Do Hyuk stood a chance (and I don't want him to).

Sun Ah is one crazy woman but I like that she isn't just a 2D sort of antagonist. Clearly she's been very strategic in how she's planning her world domination. She's terribly twisted and would do anything to get those shiny things she desires, but she also can't stand "injustice" when it comes to the bullying of women who are at a disadvantage. I don't expect her to be redeemed but I like that there are layers to her character.

Sorry, let me come back to this part as I couldn't at work. I do like that she isn't 2D and is layered, as well as smart because this is the villain that we thought we were going to get for Vincenzo but it never happened. Even Zumba Choi didn't have the level of intelligence, strategy and layers she had.

I like Ga On's character because I am a great believer that no matter how jaded or cynical we are , we  mustn't lose sight of that which is right and good. Yes , he may seem naive at first , but it would be a lot more disturbing if someone starts of their career jaded and cynical . Anyhow, this eps was an important turning point in Ga On's arc. While the recruitment of Ga On to his side was something that I believe Yo Han has orchestrated from the start, he did open Ga On's eyes to see the failure of the justice system in defending those who were wronged. By choosing to be on the "winning" team as he calls it , Ga On has realises that  fair play isn't possible given the how atrocious those in power are.

I wanted to add that I don't think Ga On was being naive. He had wanted to kill the guy himself. But he had Soo Hyun and the Professor to guide him back to the right path. I think he tried to come to terms with it and convince himself to trust in the justice system. Yo Han et al. has too many enemies (although it's what makes the drama intriguing), it would be nice if Ga On could tell the Professor what he saw at the Foundation dinner party and the con man in jail is not even the con man. He could at least get the Professor on his side too.

I agreed with you. When I was younger, I had a group of friends similar to Jae Ron and Bit Na. They changed their partners frequently. We would talk about why that's problematic but I think they had underlying self esteem issue they were trying to work through. The attention from the men allowed them to brush those problems off. I changed school and didn't stay in touch with them but heard from mutual friends that they matured. Right now, I would not have the time to entertain any sort of friends like that. I have less tolerance for people and their BS.

I'm not sure I know people who are like Jae Eon & Bit Na i.e. not wanting to commit or engage in FWB relationship. Mine were all devoted to a partner when they dated, however

    Spoiler

    (1) The girl friend who reminds me of Nabi did have many partners (one at a time). She would ditch her friends & devote all her time to that partner. Once she's single, she remembers us again. Few years down the track, she told me she had one night stand. I think the worst bit for me was she did a one night with my friend's brother who at the time had a girlfriend and eventually married her later. I wish I had never ever knew this because for one, I know these people and secondly, I felt like I became an accomplice to their cheating. :GengarPout:

I'm not sure this friend has a self-esteem issue. I know she craves love & attention. She also likes s** that's why when she's single she did one night stand.

    (2) The other two are 2 guys in their own separate relationship with the girls. Whenever we get together to have a meal, they would always complain about their girlfriends. They complained so much to the point I wonder why they don't just breakup with them if they are so unhappy (and their parents disapprove of the girls too). Eventually they did dump the girls.

I'm no longer in contact with the above people. I've also heard from a long time friend that my other school friend (or friends) are not being loyal to their wives. Sigh. He didn't want to give me details so I didn't push. From what I learnt, one of the wives knows of her hubby's infidelity.

I spent all of the after hours late last nite watching the behind the scenes stuff. ALL OF IT...except 2 of the latest ones since it didnt have ENG sub yet.

Not gonna lie, i find the behind the scenes stuff more fun to watch and defs with a smile on my face.

LOL. I must admit I did not watch most of the BTS. It's not one of those dramas I'd spend all of my time on BTS. Very rarely I watch all drama's BTS. I only probably did it for Extraordinary You and She Would Never Know.

Like omg, SK actually getting embarrassed and shy about it was expected. BUT SoHeee....how many times did the girl want to play back the scene from the door to the bed over and over and over with the most fascinated expression.

Hahaha I actually didn't interpret SK as being embarrassed. He was more surprised at how racy it appears. LOL xD

She is pathetic at the beginning. Similar to those stories where girls work multiple jobs and support their boyfriends through school, then get dumped after they graduate, have a good job and meet a girl of their level. I fast forwarded through all of it at the beginning. But Episode 12 onwards, she gets backbone and now plotting his downfall hehehe.

The thing is before the good stuff comes, the viewers have to endure the crying, betrays etc. which is what de-motivate and drive me away from wanting to start coz it can get depressing, especially this one where it involves her losing her son isn't it? So it's like extra EXTRA angsty which I know Korean loves but I don't. LOL.

Hahaha! I'm glad you're also about minimizing the amount of time you spend watching a drama too. This weekend, I bugged @JenL to tell me the ending for Someday or One Day. I needed to know if it'll be a good or bad ending. LOL!

Hahahahaha I went to Wikipedia and read the spoilers! Whoever edited it even put in a chart for the timelines :lmao2: (in Chinese version).

  13. My goodness. Secret Love's plot is similar to the junk Chinese romance novels I used to read!

I really hate the bit of the FL why she has to be so pathetic or sad x infinity. Doesn't it make you angry watching her being cheated & abused?
