Lee Joon Gi And Kim Ji Eun Confirmed To Star In New Drama

Oct 5, 2021 | by L. Kim

Lee Joon Gi and Kim Ji Eun will be starring together in the new SBS drama “Again My Life” (literal translation)!

On October 5, Xportsnews reported that the actors have been cast in the drama. Later on the same day, both Lee Joon Gi’s agency Namoo Actors and Kim Ji Eun’s label HB Entertainment confirmed that they will be starring in it.

“Again My Life” depicts the story of a young prosecutor who gets a second chance to get justice after failing to bring down a powerful person. It was originally a novel by Lee Hae Nal, and it has also been released as a webtoon. Han Chul Soo, who worked on “My Little Baby” and “Graceful Family,” will be working as the director.

Lee Joon Gi will star as the male lead Kim Hee Woo. He had the poorest grades in high school, and it took him three tries to enter law school. After enlisting in the military, he lived as a martial arts athlete and passed the bar exam. He was unfairly killed while investigating the corrupt politician Jo Tae Seop, but he unexpectedly gets another shot at life.

Kim Ji Eun will star as Kim Hee Ah, the youngest daughter of Cheonha Group’s CEO who is also a genius. She is practically perfect and has an easygoing personality, and she will become interested in Kim Hee Woo.

“Again My Life” is set to premiere in April 2022.

Really enjoyed episode one so far. Hee Woo is warned by others to be careful with Cho Tae Seob, but he ignored their warnings. He is all about punishing criminals and he paid for it with his life. He is given a second chance to catch Cho Tae Seob but it is important that he takes it slow. Before he agreed to the second chance, we saw glimpses of his life. Hee Woo has gone through a lot of hardship, losing both his parents, having regrets about how he treated them, having to take up fighting classes to protect himself, he failed the bar exam twice before getting in after the third time, etc.

Hee Woo restart his life from early adulthood. It is right before his parents accident. He does his best to save them; however, it seems like by the end of episode one, he wasn't able to. I'm not sure if this means he is not able to alter the past and the tragic events that happen will still happen?

Can't wait to watch episode two tomorrow (it aired already but I'm behind).
