  1. So no one opening the thread for this? @SilverMoonTea not sure if I should watch this Sang Yeob drama...tempting. But @Tofu knows I am scared of MBC now ahahahahaha
  2. baahahhaah...they tortured my ship ...they will torture yours also. If not, how to keep our interest. This season will be all eyes on Ik Song. Can they move past being friends ? LOL! So bad. I like Gom Gom...but I am not confident if this ship would sail. I am also keen to know what will happen to Bidulgi couple. The final BTS special for S1. Nicely timed for S2. Lots of stuff for all the ships, the 5 of them singing . But hahahah, I zoomed in first to the kiss at the 19th minute. It was 3 kisses . I feel cheated now. LOL
  3. Waahhhhh it was really long ....the BTS we have all been waiting for THREE kissessss I need a video that just cuts out their final scene. From 19:38
  4. @1217akkum4 @SnowBlob I don't think Im is manipulating the recording about Kim Tae Yol. It reinforces the reason why he had to kill KTY because he knows that KTY's ambition will be a threat to his (Im's) long term plans of a SK he dreams of. KTY despite his short scenes is painted to be very charismatic, and the fact that he is also cunning would mean that he can easily make it in politics and is not someone that Im could possibly control. They took a year to film this or something if the translations are correct on the Naver article. Closing thoughts from the leads. https://www.news1.kr/articles/?4336041 JJH had many action scenes , and put in a lot of work - no wonder he had to work out so hard at the gym. I was just telling @SnowBlobthat this cute ahjussi posts the exact same type of photos every day . https://www.instagram.com/actor_jijinhee/?hl=en
  5. OMG @mademoiselle I am yelling ...this boy is gonna be kissing many people on this show
  6. @gilaswanthis wasn't on my watch list at 1st since I had so many dramas. But I was hard sold by both @SilverMoonTea and @ktcjdrama. ahahahah...and I chanced upon a clip on YT . Now the drama is my favorite among the many I am watching. Usually I am not a fan of many episodes. But given the complexity and depth of the plot (plus the fact that the romance here has this tension to it) , I think they will definitely need the 20 episodes.
  7. Awww ...so sweet. If they do become a pair, knetz won't oppose then! We all know how scary knetz can be these days. And I get the feeling that fans from both fandoms ( his and Yuri's ) won't mind either. I like the video compilation of him saying she's pretty. Whether he is just being a sweetheart or is smitten , I always appreciate it when a guy is forthcoming with his compliments. I posted on the drama thread about how well loved Bossam is in SK. The drama has really become such a hit for the channel.
  8. Omg @bluepebbles @mademoiselle SongKang our sweet boy is totally playing a bad boy here if they closely follow the webtoon. ...oh my is my heart ready to see this ?? ahahahah....I am looking forward to his kiss skills! The 2nd lead is the guy from Sisyphus who crushed on Park Shin Hye's character.
  9. Oh my goodness , this Ba Woo is crazy @bluepebbles. You are right @ktcjdrama, how not to love this man. I cannot wait for this weekend! She should kiss him since he is injured. Helps with the healing - ahhahaha ! Yuri's IG photos getting noticed on Naver articles https://www.wowtv.co.kr/NewsCenter/News/Read?articleId=A202106110116&t=NN This article from Newsen talks about why Bossam is much loved by the audience, attributing it to The way the characters are written particularly the leads and the strong performance of the cast in general. Unpredictable plot development - I have to highlight this particular bit. I agree that this was a very unexpected way of moving the story: In particular, viewers responded that Ba Woo's identity reveal was completely out of line with expectations. The reason was that after the family's revenge, they deviated from the usual story of regaining their name and identity and reaching a happy ending. As Lee Yi-cheom and Gwang-hae-gun (the King) each revealed their schemes to use Ba Woo as a political bait in different ways, he emerged at the core of their power struggle, and moreover, it shocked audience with the ending where he was shot and collapsed. The visuals & beautiful landscape and the music (OST) In particular, the beautiful scenery of Korea, such as mountains, sea, rivers and fields, became the background to further maximize the emotions of the characters. For example, Soo-kyung, who had never gone outside the palace or her in-laws' door, was happier than ever at the beach she had seen for the first time. Even the background music, regardless of genre, triggered a search, saying, “That is another perfect music."
  10. @Chocolate oh yes …he looks good . New stills .
  11. Eps 14 was an eye-opener. At the end of the day, looks like ImHR wants to be the kingmaker. The money that he has been accumulating has been a long term plan for him to rig the upcoming elections. The VIP or President is the most coveted and powerful political seat in the nation, and if you control the King , you control the Kingdom! ImHR is a lot more ambitious than I give him credit for. It is interesting and ironic that Im, in his own twisted logic, sees this as part of building a better or greater nation. YS would definitely be in shock with the gift that Im gave her since she had always held Kim Tae Yeol on a pedestal. Kang Choong Moo and even Kim Tae Yeol are no better than Im. Kang joined hands with the devil and betrayed YS so that his plans ( fueled by his own ideals) will not go to waste. Kim Tae Yeol wanted recognition , and I believe had wanted to pave a way for a political career. And he was willing to do this at the expense of sacrificing his innocent "comrade". Yes, it does look like YS has forgiven Jung Hyun - JH has 9 lives doesn't he? I know he was a trained agent and was very skilled but given his age and the lack of intense training, I always marvel at how he is able survive all these near death situations. . Anyway , it was a good thing that he had gone to his ex boss for help after the river shooting incident. It gave the ex boss a chance to redeem himself. I was about to say that YS has a really good team but now I wonder if Chu Dong Woo betrayed her - was he the one who warned Im in advance about the raid on his house. These stills for the upcoming episode look rather tense https://sports.donga.com/article/all/20210610/107361768/1
  12. @SnowBlob I just got off eps 13 ...and though I am aware of all the spoilers, it was still quite sad to see how JH prepared for his real identity to be exposed. I definitely felt a lump in my throat when he asked YS to let him tell the kids himself should things go south. And I was so sad when he was writing the recipes down. In my shallow mind I was thinking that if this was my husband , I will forgive him quickly . How rare to find a man who cooks, does all the house chores , raise the kids and support you in every way. The other thing that was quite sad was seeing his boss sell his soul only to receive chump change for the tablet. This was such a betrayal of trust. But JH decided not to reveal that to YS; maybe he knows his ex boss must have done it out of desperation. The man seems to be have some financial problems. Many of these former NIS agents end up with such pitiful lives after they leave the service - somewhat unfair given how they risk their lives while being an agent.
  13. @Sominah I was amused at the tone of the teaser. This is gonna be one wacky show!
  14. ahahaha just Johnny lifting LiQin like it's nothing!
  15. Interesting ...there will be a time jump: Hospital Playlist Season 2 to begin with a Time Jump; Casts Tease Romance, Change in Relationships By Ilin Mathew June 10, 2021 17:49 +08 With just a week left for the premiere of Hospital Playlist season 2, director Shin Won Ho and lead casts – Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do -- shared several details about the show through an online press conference. The press meet was held on Thursday, July 10, in front of the Yulje Medical Center set. During the event that began with the self-introduction of main casts, director Won Ho and the actors spoke about the differences between seasons 1 and 2 of this popular medical drama. They also dished about changing relationships for central characters and teased romance for the doctors of Yulje Medical Center. They even revealed that the new sequel will begin with a time jump. Changing Relationships and Romance for Central Characters of Hospital Playlist Season 2 Cast member Jung Suk, who portrays general surgeon Lee Ik Jun in the mini-series, asked K-drama fans to look forward to the changing relationships between the central characters in the new sequel. While some of the characters will continue to maintain their friendships, others may take their relationship to the next level. The medical drama concluded its first season by teasing romance for Ik Jun, Chae Song Hwa, Ahn Jeong Won, and Jang Gyeo Wool. In the last episode of season 1, Ik Jun and his long-time friend Song Hwa were confused about taking their relationships to the next level. According to some K-drama fans, these two characters are likely to take the central stage in the second season without getting involved in a romantic relationship. But for Jeong Won and Gyeo Wool, the new sequel could be packed with hugs, kisses, secret dates, and romantic meetings. The followers of this medical drama are looking forward to seeing them as an official couple of Yulje Medical Center in the first episode of season 2. Hospital Playlist Season 2 to Begin with a Time Jump Meanwhile, director Won Ho revealed that the new sequel of this popular medical drama will start with a time jump. The viewers will get to know more about it through several flashback sequences. He also dished deeper relationships between the central characters and some good musical performances from Jung Suk and the team.\ Actor Dae Myung, who portrays gynecologist Yang Seok Hyeong in the mini-series, also said the main highlight of this season is the band. According to him, the lead casts worked hard and improved their skills to do better in the new sequel. In the meantime, cast members Mi Do, Yeon Seok, and Kyung Ho asked the viewers to check out the stories of patients, the residents, and other staff members of Yulje Medical Center in the second season. In this sequel, the K-drama fans will know more about the residents and their relationships with the central characters. https://www.ibtimes.sg/hospital-playlist-season-2-begin-time-jump-casts-tease-romance-change-relationships-58073
  16. I really liked eps 16 and I wholeheartedly root for the romance now, if I didn't before. Those flirty lines that @SnT posted can make one blush! . But I think what I find myself looking forward to is when they go on missions together and have those meaningful heart to heart. Trope free , honest conversations. I remember them having one when they were at the flood mission and now this. Now, it is matter of time for someone to confess. Who will say it 1st? And which episode do you all thinK? Actually Xia Chu is the perfect wife candidate so to speak for someone like LMZ's job. She isn't just a doctor but a military one which was different for the FL in DOTS who was a doctor who volunteered her service when they went to "Greece" . So XC is well aware of the sort of high risk his job demands, and she herself would also be involved in such. The current push pull is nothing to do with their jobs but it is just to torture us audience so that we will last 40 episodes with the drama. Haaha...If they get too early together ,where is the fun in that right?
  17. @ssteph tag me if Taec shows his body !!! With @Chocolate , I can believe it is possible seeing all her excel files !
  18. I LOL-ed so hard when Tian Yong hoped that cursing parrot Okay would become a lady one day. Tian Yong doesn't know what he is wishing for. That whole fight scene at the bar in Vitalik seems rather suspicious @NiteWalker. The fact that soldier talking to LMZ ( the one who thought of joining the private military) shot the men - it is as if he wants to cover something up. He could very well be working for ZR's boss who ordered them to kill LMZ. And of course XC's crush on LMZ is becoming obvious - how quickly she agreed to volunteer to go to his base camp for work on New Year's Day! I do love how she turned down ZR at the end . She got straight to the point.
  19. Will back read in a bit ...but I am watching eps 15 ...Why did Xia Chu even bother asking LMZ if he would like durian cheese roll or steam cake? Has she forgotten how he dislikes durian? hahaahha ...I ship Dr Zhang with XJ's mum....good that he chose steam cake !
  20. FINALE! Good golly , I skimmed through the raw cuts ...KBS stingy poker...didn't develop the romance beyond some subtle hints. I am disappointed with how they have wasted the chemistry of the leads . They kept teasing us but after 16 long episodes, nothing seems confirmed about where they stand except that they will continue to work together. Guess how DoHak boss died? It was karma...after stabbing JA and shoving In Beom aside, he ran off with his big bag of money. But he passed some homeless people and in some scuffle , he fell down the stairs and died ...his money flew everywhere . But then his vengeful spirit possesed In Beom. At that point both IB and JA was being rushed to hospital , he caused an accident in the ambulance that IB was in. So I think JA , even in her weakened state had to performed an exorcism So after sending of Dohak boss to the afterlife, they both finally got treated . Here he stayed by her side all the time holding her hand till she regained consciousness. Yes, that my friend is the most crumbs you're gonna get. JA's friend even made sure they didn't these two having quality time together So now I suppose the final bit , was sending JA's mum off. Seriously they should not have dragged this arc so long. I think the drama would have benefitted from a 12-episode plot. Not sure why, but maybe in their efforts to find a way, IB tried to use hypnosis to help JA go into her subconscious , but LOL end up the friend was the one who hypnotized I think the mum finally left on her own....not enough video cuts to show what happened. And so JA found peace . Here she and IB went to pay respects at the mum's columbarium. I am thinking these are all positive signs of them becoming closer - yes these are all the crumbs you get Oh well , In Beom is driving a nice car Ending cheesy scene. The 4 of them will continue to run Daebak...another case comes in. Jang Nara's final outfit was hot!
  21. HB Ent posted this on their IG. Oh , is this how he’ll look . Rumoured airing date is Sept
  22. It goes without saying that I cried buckets in the final episode. In spite of the sad ending, this is a very good drama and a favorite for 2021. No, I am not a sucker for pain, but the ending felt right and paid tribute to those who lost their lives or lost someone dear in the May of 1980. Was MHee's death necessary ...probably not. Then again is death ever necessary ? From a story telling perspective, her death would make a lot more impact than say a side character. If I were to think about it , Myung Hee's character is probably my favourite in this show and was written consistently right to the end. In her final prayer, she prayed for the relief of the suffering of those who were left behind . And in the final moments of her life , she saved her brother. Our sweet girl MHee who had put everyone else 1st before herself , touched many while she was alive and even in death. It wasn't a saviour complex or anything like that , because MHee was genuinely kind , thoughtful and selfless. So it is no surprise that Hee Tae could never move on and never found someone else. The irony was that his prayer came true - he suffered being left behind. But I believe her death and the tragic events of this uprising probably pushed him to put his whole heart into medicine. And looking at the career choices of Myung Soo & Jung Tae , there's some sort of silver lining I supppose. Though sadly, not everyone thrived . Kyung Soo , poor fella who seems like some homeless man now, was an unwilling soldier then. He is probably still haunted by all the things he was forced to do and that's why he looked so lost. When people have no choice but to fight back against an authoritarian regime, there will always be collateral damage. Not all who died were fighting for the cause. And while not everyone started off with strong beliefs like Soo Ryeon, many came to understand why this was necessary given how brutal the government & military were. I thought it was a nice touch to see how Soo Chan and their father ended up helping SR distribute aid to those who needed it. I do think that GMS and LDH deserve recognition at the KBS Awards at the year end. Their heart gripping romance anchored the drama for me. Even when they were playing siblings in Sweet Home, I had always felt they would be great as lovers. I was not disappointed. And should they reunite, I will gladly watch them again. Goodbye MyungHeeTae. Will miss seeing them on my screen.
  23. Yes , TCC was definitely melodrama. Not all melodramas have bad endings or sad ones. The Red Sleeve Cuff synopsis: It depicts a royal court romance record between the king of Joseon whose priority is the nation over love, and a court lady who wants to protect the life she has chosen. I wonder if it will be based on history?
  24. aahahah I like what she came up with afterwards. Well since she studied so hard , maybe she needs to put into practice? When do you guys think they will kiss???????
