Enjoyed the 1st episode . Though I think if I were to be very honest, it lacks a bit of suspense. Possibly because in S1 , discovering who Shi mok was and his condition was one of the highlights for me .
Anyway for S2 , it seems that the central conflict for this season will be the power struggle between the Prosecutors and the Police . The Police want to take back some autonomy for themselves. SK has got to be one of the few countries in the world where the Prosecution office is as powerful, if not more so than the police . Having seen a lot of k - legal dramas , I’m always wondering why the Prosecutors themselves have their own investigators . So this means they don’t really need to coordinate with or depend on the police , and it seems they can override the authority of the police force.
This twitter thread has a very good write up on the legal jurisdiction in SK
Spoiler
And in eps 1 , the battle btwn the two law enforcement agencies is being made public. The prosecution office is suspected of spinning articles and leaking information about police incompetence. Yeo Jin now works for the National Police Agency , and reports to Choi Bit. The introduction of Choi Bit’s character was the highlight of eps 1 . So Choi Bit is keen on “repaying the favor “ by doing some mud slinging in the press as well but YJ would rather highlight what the cops did well instead of bringing the Prosecution office down While I expect some conflict between the two ladies, I think Choi Bit likes the person that Yeo Jin is. YJ seems a little out of place in her new post and it is clear she misses doing detective work . Her instincts were on point in the beach case .
Anyway, looking forward to eps 2 where I’ll get to see my dear weasel Seo Dong Jae
You definitely want to slap this face 😆

Choi Daniel is considering to star in upcoming JTBC drama Fly Up Butterfly
On August 5, Choi Daniel’s agency J,WIDE-Company responded, “He received the offer and is reviewing it.” The drama follows the lives of people working at a hair salon as they learn to love themselves for who they are. “Age of Youth” screenwriter Park Yeon Sun is set to write for the drama, which will be co-directed by “Hello Dracula” producing director (PD) Kim Da Ye and “The Wind Blows” co-PD Kim Bo Kyung.
On the other hand, details about Choi Daniel’s potential character have not been given yet.
“Fly, Butterfly” will air in the first half of next year.
Stay tuned for more updates!

K-drama and movie reviews
Have something to say about a K-drama or a K-movie you love, or perhaps even about one that you were disappointed with? Why not tell us about it? We are often looking for drama recommendations , and we would love to hear your thoughts.
In this section members are free to put in their reviews for any COMPLETED drama or movie from any year. Writers can just create a topic and write the name of the drama they are reviewing ( along with the year it was released) in the title section. The first post is where you will write your review. We require that the review be at least 200 words long and please give ratings on the scale of 1 to 10 ( 1 being the lowest , and 10 is the highest) for the following categories, at the bottom of your review
1. Plot / story
2. Cast / acting
3.Production value(aesthetics/OST/cinematography)
4. Re-watch value
Just a note to the writers : We definitely do not expect glowing reviews all the time, and we have no problems if you did not like the drama . Nevertheless, please adhere to our forum rules here on The Haven Codex. If you are to write something negative , please ensure that the entire article is not just a bash fest. Constructive criticisms are preferred . You can also put a link to your blog ( if you have one) , on the condition that your entire review is posted on the forum as well.
And a note to our readers : Please understand that the reviews are the views of the writers. And please respect that . Spoilers are also to be expected ; so read at your own risk. You are free to engage in conversation with the writers , but please do not start any conflicts, stan wars and ship wars of any sort.
Please contact us if you need help or clarification....happy writing!

His new ad
oooo he's signed on for a new movie...playing a surgeon no less 😄
Teaming up with Ma is Jung Kyung-ho, who will suit up as Ji-woo, a talented plastic surgeon. His unparalleled skills in maneuvering the knife are considered the best in the entire district where his clinic is located. Though relatively better known for his roles in television dramas such as Prison Playbook (2017) and Hospital Playlist (2020), Jung also left viewers in awe of his performances in the movies Manhole (2014), Amor (2015), and Déjà Vu (2018).
