Random Drama Quiz

 

Yes, it's quiz time!  We haven't had one in awhile, but thought it would be fun to do one as part of our 3rd Anniversary Celebrations. There is no overarching theme this time. And, you don't have to comb through the forums. It's a straight up quiz, answer as many as you can. There are 9 questions in total, though a number of them do have bonus points. For numbers 4 and 8, you have to tell me in your answers that you named them without looking them up in order to get the extra points.

 

Each question is worth 10 points regardless of how many parts there are. Extra points are indicated in the questions. Answer key will be released on August 22 and points will be awarded then as well.

Answer: Can't remember the game but think the drama is Alice in Borderland.

P.S. Not sure if Tomorrow and Reborn Rich count. Tomorrow time-travelled in one episode. Reborn Rich, not sure if he dreamt or time travelled... (still was a good drama)

 

9. Who are the triumvirate of Mountain God of Baekdudagan, Western Mountain God, and Northern Mountain God, and which drama are they together in?

 

Answer: Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook), Cheon Mu Young (Ryu Kyung Soo), Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon) in Tales of the Nine-Tailed 1938.

@ktcjdrama, impressive! However, your answer for #3 is a bit off. It's true that Kim Jae Wook's character in 'The Guest' is named Choi Yoon, however, his cameo in 'God's Quiz: Reboot' is as a manifestation of the AI Joo Won. The question asks for the character in the cameo to be the same character as in the drama, both played by the same actor.

2. Both are male leads in novels written by Gu Man and were turned into dramas.  They both work as CEOs of their companies in the tech industry. Also, Feng Tang makes a cameo in the drama version of 'Love O2O', so they both appear in that drama.

 

3. Kim Min Jong played Choi Yoon in 'A Gentleman’s Dignity' and then made a cameo as that character in 'I Can Hear Your Voice'

3a. However, Kim Jae Wook also portrayed a character named Choi Yoon in 'The Guest', but no cameos of that character.

 

4. Happiness, Zom100, All of Us Are Dead, etc., etc. - There are a LOT of zombie dramas out. Just had to see if it was aired within the last 3 years. :)

 

5. In their high school days, when Sae Bom thought Yi Hyun was going to commit suicide by jumping, she talked to him, then controlled their fall down. Their picture was taken as they are being questioned by the police, with SB in handcuffs.

6. Spades = physical games, clubs = games requiring teamwork, diamonds = games about wit and intellect, hearts = games of trust and betrayal. 'Alice in Borderland'

 

7. Hidden Love, Reply 1996, Mischievous Kiss, etc., etc. - There are a lot of dramas with this theme in all of the Asian cultures.

8. Tale of the Nine Tailed, Mr. Queen, Sisyphus, My Perfect Stranger - Time slip dramas have also become common. It was really a matter of naming 3 that aired in the last 3 years.
