Thought of watching it today, but I look through the preview and man, they still haven’t conclude it :pandasadspoon:. Tomorrow then…Though initial scrubbing through, saw that Duk ki & the female cop clash with each other which is inevitable but damn, i can feel Duk ki being annoyed as well:pandahappy: Cause me too~ :pandahappy: I don’t want because of her, his plans gets ruined. Which it seems like it is, cause that Santa Claus red hair guy caught wind of them:pandablank:

@SnowBlob Is that part of the law, to castrate?

HAHAHA I don't think the criminal can choose whether he wants to be castrated or capital punishment LOL!

LOL This conversation :laugh::laugh: I don't think the law castrates...they'll kill you, but not remove questionable body parts as far as I know in the Western world

Honestly, I think it would be more stressful to be forced to pick what punishment you want rather than getting the punishment. Haha, would it be cruel to just mess with them and give them a few bad options to pick from? :idk:

Especially the pub scene I fall into a “Omg, I want Duk ki to say yes” moment Cause girl got damn moneyyyyyyyyyyy I’m a lost hope really. Lmao

There was a scene in an earlier episode where Do-ki and Baek Sung-mi were standing really close - I thought that was quite sexy too and wouldn't mind seeing some sparks between them.

Hahaha...you mean this being a thing?  I don't know... she seems a little too evil for KDK...I mean what if she harvests his organs? Also isn't she into seducing rich old men? :pandadisgusted:

@JenL I feel the same way, watching this show. Why so hot, brah?! Seriously, its something about his swagger? When he walks down a hallway, or when he has that annoying smirk on his face like yeah. I mean, LJH has always been attractive, but something about the way he looks/does in this show is highly alluring lol. I really want to see in a spy action romance genre lol!! Seduce women, kill bad guys, and boom!! Its hard watching this show sometimes b/c I'm like please tone down your hotness pls!!!

Hahaha yayyy!!! I'm glad someone else is also swooning over LJH in this series as much as I am @dream :pandahehe: It's definitely his swagger. When he's out to dish out justice, he has that level of nonchalant cool that is so so so attractive....haha, to be honest, I've watched a number of his movies before and never noticed him really till this series

I would totally buy into his spy action romance series if he did one :KittyGun::cool::BulbaOWO:

But I really like that LJH picked projects that seem to have good storylines and substance...like they seem to be stories that make you think and feel a lot! I'm also looking forward to Move to Heaven, though he's looking more trash than cool in that one with his mullet

I watched eps 7 and I can see why this whole UData case has taken several episodes. For one it involves one of their own - Go Eun lost it completely when she found out what caused her sister's death (suicide?) . She was so affected by it that she spent months trying to  delete the videos but they would keep popping up. She became so obsessed with it that she projected herself as her sister. He recovery took a long time . So that is why in this episode we don't see much of her as it has triggered awful memories , and she has hid herself from the rest.

Secondly. the U Data servers that we see in the Strategic Planning room isn't where the real server is. KDK discovered that when he tried to delete files ( and replacements kept popping back) . Kang Hana who finally managed to get her boss to sign off approval for her to pursue the case also discovered that when she came with a warrant to remove the files and servers , only to find that there  were no illegal videos.

And this U Data "cancer" is not just limited to uploading of these videos. There's a whole porn industry that U Data is linked to - where they buy their videos. KDK managed to save one of the girls who was duped into filming these videos ( she thought she had come to be a fashion model) And the worse part ( though not surprising) is that the UData boss has the backing of some in the prosecution office - and he used them to intimidate Kang Hana.

@abs-oluteM Hello there! Indeed he is, he's having an absolute blast here. I was worried the success/legacy of Signal was going to overshadow him forever, but I'm glad he find a drama that seems to be clicking w/ the public in a big way :) ! He's an under-appreciated actor internationally, so its nice w/ this and Move to Heaven, he's back big time!

IkR...Signal's success was hard to replicate and I guess the dramas that came after were not as strong plot wise ( but I did love Tomorrow With You very much , though not many folks would agree) . I am also looking forward to Move To Heaven. Let me promote the thread here:

Looks like next week , KDK goes to the place where Baek helps CEO Jang to keep those he intends to reform.

Episode 7

-So it turns out that GE's sister was not raped, but dated a jerk who was a guy who films women without their consent and sells the videos for money which is pretty much just as awful :pandarage2::pandarage2::pandarage2:Sometimes it makes me so sad to think that people are vulnerable and place their trust in some really bad people and get taken advantage of big time. I did like how the show focused on the situation from her sister's point of view - The condescending way that the cop addressed the issue really speaks volumes about why people are scared or feel hopeless to report things like sexual crimes....she was not at fault, but the cop seemed to judge her anyway and was not being helpful in an earnest way.

-I was so sad about GE's last day with her sister :letalQQ: It seems that she felt guilty that she didn't understand her sister's feelings and then almost went crazy trying to fix the situation after her death.

- U-Data makes my blood boil and unfortunately it did not end this week. I was going to add to @abs-oluteM's point that U-Data is a long arc because it's not only hard to take down with it's fake servers (which is kind of why illegal torrenting is hard to defeat) but also because the company exists very much on a large scale in the city. We've been shown a few times that people know about this company from its name alone. The other baddies were a smaller supposed "ethical" business not in the city and high school bullies...this time they're dealing with a well known CEO with ties to lots of lawyers too...I wonder how they'll punish him

- OMG LJH/ KDK was soooo cool this episode when he busted in and beat up the jerk ex-boyfriend :BulbaOWO::hearties: He was directly responsible for the sister's tape (and was trying to threaten another girl into doing a dirty video).  I have to say I was so into him bashing that guy's face in till it bled and busting his balls that I felt a little too bloodthirsty :Ghastlel: But I mean the guy was pure evil, he needed to be taught a real lesson.

- I also laughed that KDK scared the yellow-traffic haired minion (the guy who films everything)...but not sure if actually beat him up or locked him up? :pandathink: I mean he threatened to kill him but surely he didn't really, right? Actually when I think about it, I don't know what really happened to the first set of bad guys either...were they trapped in CEO Jang's prison? I'm confused now.

Yay finally UData case is finished. I really dislike seeing that boss face. I'm having a hard time watching Tomorrow with You because of his character LOL

Next revenge case is voice phishing / phone scammed and for this case, we won't see goofy Je Hoon because the one who will act is another blue bird member. Is it somehow related with his story about how his sister/brother got scammed? Or did I remember it wrongly?

And I'm glad to see a cheerful Go Eun is back to help the team again! She won the fight! Atta girl!

I am under the impression that they all get locked up in that prison. Remember the manager of that factory where Maria worked? KDK  "delivered" him in a truck to  Madam Baek as well.

The Blue Bird member that will go undercover is Park Jin Eon. His sister and the other guy's brother (or was it the other way around were married). But I cannot remember how their siblings died

Finally able to watch Ep7 today

Episode 7

  • Go Eun talking abour her sister was so sad and heart-breaking, especially the last meal they had together. Go Eun was so loud and bubbly, full of life and her sister the complete oppostive. She silently said farewell and knew she would end her life.
  • Also, and this may just be a site note, what kind of police or medics would step over and over again on a bag lying on the ground? Not only due to the fact that it's possibly evidence, but also because it's disrespectful. Who steps stuff that is lying on the ground on purpose in a situation like that?
  • Do-Ki putting everything down and heading to Gu Eun was so cute ♥
  • It felt so good when Do-Ki hit this ex-boyfriend punk with the helmet. I felt so happy to see his blood being spilled. I wished he would have hit him a lot, lot more though.
Also felt good to finally hit that continuesly filming assistant with that camera. I doubt he is dead though.
  • There is a permanently delete all data on the screen for every worker without any security or double check-up and it deletes everything from every computer in the company?
I was actually expecting a little more hacking by beauty-cutie and creating distractions to secretly removing it....but a "delete all" button will do too.
  • Well, they have a restoring ability, but still I was a little bit confused.
  • So basically we aren't really closer of catching the bad guys, Do-Ki will save the Prosecutor Kang and potentially will blow his cover to Kang and the CEO. I also wonder how Kang will react to this, since it's also kinda vigilantism.
I doubt we will wrap up this case next episode aswell, we need to find the real servers and take them all down.
  • According to the preview we need to prepare ourselves for Do-Ki getting beaten-up and take a few hits, only to then release the kraken, in the form of himself, and beat everyone to pieces....or even death.
It looks like to at least the CEO will be able to escape.
  • But it also looks like Go Eun will be back in action, find and erase the servers, reporting it to Do-Ki and tell him to destroy them all. Payback time!
  • The epilogue is so sad.

Just a wild guess (I’m on 7 right now):

As the time goes by, each cases would be related to each member in some way or another..then last but not least, DK. See how DK is, his will probably be the biggest of them all and his fire for revenge will probably be very big. I can’t wait for it:pandawhat::pandaangel:Seeing DK in action, kicking butts!:pandaevil:

I've only finished episode 7 for now. This episode makes my blood boil. It tenses up my muscles and up my stress instead of relaxing it...  not good, not good. Honestly, it's not like I didn't guess Ahn Jung Eun was cheated by that guy. It's not like I didn't expect to see Go Eun so worked up over it. But having to really see it, confront it from a woman's perspective is still difficult because it is so relatable.

When Do Ki joined them at the dining table and that dirtbag was introduced to CEO Yang, we see Do Ki holding himself down. Kudos to him because it takes a lot of self-control not wanting to just kill those guys right then and there. When he finally get to them and him beating that guy, I was even entertaining how nice if his most precious part was also hit and right then Do Ki whack it with the helmet! I was surprised. I didn't expect it (in a drama), a movie maybe. And I'm glad. Dirtbags like this needs to be castrated so that they can no longer do harm to anyone.

---

I'm also done with episode 8. I can't say I'm 100% satisfied with CEO Yang's ending. Dying in explosion is too good for him. He whines so much from being punched and shot by an arrow. It shows he doesn't know just how much pain he has inflicted on others.

I honestly thought Do Ki will pass out afterwards but we are shown he's still able to drive. How is it even possible. He's also very much hurt himself. I'll just have to convince myself that he's still have a lot of adrenaline sustaining his body.

Air bag. Should air bag be released from the impact for the Prosecutors?

Cho Do Chul - Imma not even surprised. I am also not too worried about Jang Sung Chul dying, reason being it's still early in the show so even though he was stabbed, I feel he'll be rescued. Madam Baek's boys are on the lookout.

This drama is really not an easy watch. I feel so burning mad seeing how they forced/deceived the girls into filming and how that crazy CEO of U-data abused people. So it made watching the “revenge” very satisfying!

CEO Jang grows on me. The way he cares for and has faith in Go Eun was gentle and not pushy. I want to root for him all the way. Please have no more dealings with Baek. She is bad news. But yeah, am curious what made them even have some kind of dealings in the first place.

Episode 8

- I actually had a really hard time watching this episode though I still really enjoyed it along with the whole series so far. I'm ok with violence between grown men if they opt into it (gangsters for example opt into it). But KDK getting beaten over and over again really messed me up. I thought I'd be sick, even from the hitting sound effects. I mean the CEO used a metal baseball bat on KDK. And I feel like his threat of rupturing KDK's insides could actually be real :psweatduck: Poor, poor KDK!!!

:letalQQ::letalQQ::letalQQ:

- But to backtrack a bit, this episode was pretty full on in general. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The car chase/ hit on KHN was stressful. Haha, KDK was pretty smart in how he wrecked the bad guy's cars. But KHN's story (her ability to chase up bad guys using the law) is so slow that it hasn't really weaved itself into the main plot yet. :idk:

- The U Data CEO really made me so very angry. :pandarage2::pandarage2::pandarage2: What a completely evil scumbag. The CEO was the worst type of person - the kind who would force others to be just as evil as him to "test" their loyalty - I was disgusted when he wanted KDK or the red haired minion to shoot the guy who uploaded the videos. And he'd probably use those minions as a scapegoat if he got caught because he's a bully and a chicken simultaneously.

- And I totally agree with @mademoiselle- he deserved a worse punishment. I thought they would capture him and put him into the dungeon to be tortured and have his eyes removed :lenny:Honestly, only got punched in the face, an arrow in his arm and was blown up way too quickly. He deserved that slow burn revenge! I mean sure he was scared and stressed, but it was not even a fraction of the pain and anxiety he caused GE's sister or the employee's he bashed up?

:KittyGun::pandacop:

- Speaking of GE, it was good to see her bounce back, but it honestly was very very sad too :letalQQ::letalQQ::letalQQ: In order to save her sister she had to actively spread the video that was the death of her sister - the one thing that killed her. A worthy sacrifice, but very very traumatic and difficult and I felt sick for her while she was doing that because it would have taken so much courage. :PiplupCry:

- Hahaha, I agree with @dream 's descriptions - Our man KDK (LJH) always be looking so damn fine. Him taking down all the mobsters and then talking down to the evil CEO was so good. I wish there had been more revenge on such an evil person, but I'll take what I can get since sometimes in real life you don't even get revenge and bad guys like the CEO get away all the time!

fxiONL8.gif

- Oh and here's an important gif for those feeling the ship between GE and KDK...haha I don't need a romance for this series. I just like the closeness of the characters, but they do look nice together :BulbaOWO:

When Do-ki socked the tantrum throwing CEO in the face, my daughter and I cheered. Yup. Me?... I was ecstatic. It was a long time in coming. It was the payoff for watching him bully everyone and beat people up for kicks. I feel as if I live vicariously through Do-ki's fight scenes. I generally wish the fight scenes were better but this week they upped their game quite a bit. The main car chase in Episode 8 was one of the highlights for me this weekend.

My family and I decided that Kim Yang-jin was nothing more than an overgrown kid who was used to having his way. Just look at the way he stomps around angrily like a spoilt brat. The way he talked about his "data mine" like an entitled rich kid and then when the tables are turned he transforms into a whimpering coward begging to be let off the hook.

I'm still wondering what happened to the porn director, the yellow-haired guy (Mr An) and the pimp. They all took a nice beating and magically disappeared. Are they sweating it out in the dungeon? I especially appreciated Do-ki's accurate aim landing beautifully on the porn director/ex-boyfrind's boy parts. Well deserved.

I really wish this show was on Netflix. So many shows that are currently airing that I wish are on Netflix so that I can recommend them to friends. I wouldn't mind watching this on HD as well.

Last week I complained that Ha-na accosted Do-ki outside the U data building to be an informant despite knowing the dangers. This week, she did it again. *facepalm* Right after the "delete" incident. Doesn't she think that there mightn't be surveillance cameras around? Or anybody watching? Look I get it, she's desperate to hang Kim Yang-jin and take down the U data juggernaut. But compromising your informant is just... It beggars belief.  It isn't as if we don't know what her role here is but when you're up against a corporate monster like Udata, some circumspection would be good. Admittedly some of her blundering got Do-ki out of a couple of situations and luckily for her, he is the one driving "the bait" to Kim Yang-jin's place. Her heart's in the right place but she seems to need a lot of extra help from the outsiders.

Overall this show has maintained its earlier momentum while raising the stakes... the storytelling is gripping and the performances  hit the spot. Even though Godmother Baek is a reprehensible human being, there's no doubting that the actress is good.

What can I say about Lee Je-hoon that I haven't already said? He's my favourite thing about the show. He's pulling out all the stops. The dorky Do-ki is a laugh and a half (I'm going to miss it) but the austere, stoic action hero is the one to swoon for. Dangit... he smoulders especially when he deepens his voice.

Phew... it's getting hot in here.

Great reference of him being a chicken. I'm sure everyone did not miss his whining just because of one punch on his face. And then when at the end he called out to his mother...
