This is a brief summary of staff roles on JangHaven and JangHaven Discord.

 

Founders
Founders are the group of people who created JangHaven as a site. Members of Founders also serve in differing roles as Senior Moderators, Administrators, and/or Developers on JangHaven and JangHaven Discord.

Former Founders

Former staff who helped create JangHaven as a site. No longer serving in active roles on JH or on JH Discord. This is a recognition rather than an actual role.

Developers
Developers work on the JangHaven site and the JangHaven Discord server itself.
- maintenance of the site, including upgrades
- install features
- access viability of suggestions for new features
- address bug issues.

Administrators
Administrators are able to access more of the technical features of the site.
- make adjustments as needed
- open and close sections and forums
- archive/unarchive threads
- issue warnings and permanent bans
- able to access all areas on both JangHaven and JangHaven Discord

Sr. Moderators
Senior moderators enforce rules for the entire JangHaven site and community.
- moderation of the entire JangHaven community
- enforcing the forum rules for the entire site
- issue warnings and bans
- final appeals for Members who would like their warnings or situations reviewed
- able to access all areas on both JangHaven and JangHaven Discord

Moderators
Moderators use their best judgement to ensure the smooth operation of their respective sections.
- assist Members
- enforce rules in their sections, including by editing Member posts of violations
- investigate posts as reported by Members
- step in if there are signs of trouble, including fan wars, trolling, etc.
- issue warnings to threads and Members as necessary
- may ban Members, as necessary

Jr. Moderators
Junior Moderators are new moderators who undergo a probation period before being promoted to full Moderators.
- assist Members
- enforce rules in their sections, including by editing Member posts of violations
- investigate posts as reported by Members
- step in if there are signs of trouble
- issue warnings to threads and Members as necessary

 

Former Moderators

We thank former Moderators for their input and their help. No longer on the site in an active role. Hoping that they'll drop in from time to time to hang with us.

Event Organizers
Event Organizers create, organize, and host events for the community on both JangHaven and JangHaven Discord.
- Plan events to foster a greater sense of community and fun between and amongst Members and Staff
- Promotes the events as appropriate, and arranges for any outreach to SNS
- Arrange for suitable prizes and giveaways
- Oversight the awarding of any such prizes and giveaways, including badges and trophies

Graphics Designers
Graphics Designers are involved in delivering the aesthetically appropriate design elements for JangHaven and JangHaven Discord as allowed by the underlying platforms and in cooperation with the general staff.
- Involvement in color selections for site elements
- Creation of the logos and icons for the site
- Creation of the Groups banners
- Creation of the Reputation Banners
- Oversight creation of badges and trophies

Discord Lead Managers
Discord Lead Managers have full administrative permissions on the JangHaven Discord server.
- Create text and voice channels
- Set and change permissions as necessary for channels, Groups, and Members
- Member management as necessary

Discord Managers
Discord Managers are the moderators on the JangHaven Discord server. They are able to keep the peace, in case of any issues.
- Create text and voice channels
- Set permissions for channels
- Member management as necessary
