Oh yeah, this weekend is Easter! I must be living under a rock this week because I didn't realized it was here already. 

 

Bai Jingting went through some intense training to get his body to where it is. He looked so different in Ordinary Glory and then almost a month later (after filming OG) his biceps grew twice as big!

And set the story straight the next day by going to the hospital and letting people hear his "phone call."  I do like how he doesn't let the sisters play any games, to the extent he knows about them.  

 

I think my favorite part was how the sisters quaked to even think about XKY's name and then hypothesized that MK would never past muster with XKL's family... little do they know.  We already knew MK had XKY's approval, and if there were any questions about that, she settled the question later on in the episode when her drunken self told XKL that she liked MK.  Really hoping the sisters have to see XKY at some point now.  Haha.

actually  i like the story play is that...they didnt use the normal sorts plot where the ML will go...

I was thinking, "I want to know what's going on too!" during this scene. 

 

The sisters are really ungrateful. They show up unannounced and wanted to stay with Kelei. When Kelei told them it'll be more comfortable in a hotel and said he would even pay for it, they got upset. Then they lied about misplacing the medication which forced him to drive around town looking for more. When Mi Ka set them up with a doctor, they complained that it wasn't a specialist. I'm just at a loss for words. How does one say they came into town to find medical treatment and not make any appointments ahead of time including arranging a place to stay too? Besides that, both of them talked about using Kelei with no remorse at all! 

 

I really wish I never meet people like these sisters. I have little tolerance for people who take other people's kindness for granted like that.

10 episodes done. Well, it is fun to watch. Seeing how XK tries his best to win MK's heart is just so cute. Haha

 

I like the background story they tell here, the title itself refers a lot to a great message they want to deliver. Two differrent people work in different field but with one goal, saving lives. I think it's pretty new for me to see cdrama has this genre as I dont watch a lot of cdramas before and most of my watching history is just school/college romance, slice of life or wuxia.

 

They write each character pretty interesting. I also love the second otp and it such a new that take out the usual triangle love portion here. Some of the scenes reminds me of City Hunter, DOTS and Doctors. But that's fine. It was done nicely. One thing that made me a bit cringe a bit, they make the female lead too saint, I mean I see several scenes more like a plot device to show how noble her character is. I mean if they too showy like that, it feels a bit too dreamy. It would be look much natural if they lessen that kind if scene a bit.

 

Until ep 10 I dont understand why is WB cant accept Xia's love? What makes him hesitates? Doesn't he like her too? I see how hard she tried to win him but he keeps staterring very ambigous between yes or no. Lols. Though, I like this couple actually, WB is quite cute being clumsy and careless in front of her. I thought he would fall for her first. So this drama balanced thw love line, the main otp guy chases girl and the second otp girl chases guy. Lols.

 

From all of 10 episodes I have done, I like how they start introducing the background story and the characters with the bank roberry case. And the military camp too is really fun. It's refreshing. I wish they could have more episodes with the camp set up. 

 

Next, I'd like to tell about Dr. Shao, he reminds me if Kim Sabu, not the same one but the vibes how he teaches his students. I feel bad that YS couldnt get his message to work and prove herself through her good performance as doctor rather than keeps trying to bribe him with the foods. But looking from YS's perspective, I feel how bad she is seeing him coldly pushes her away like that. But I agreed on Dr. Shao, if she has lots of time to make food, it is much better for her to share those energy for her patients. 

 

Oh so long post already, gonna cut it here, I'll resume watching and write more next time.

they even belittle ppl efforts to help...they think the world stop for them and them only...

 

not to say they even tried to create issues in between KeLei and Mika....i remember i told you this....if you cant get the guy when you know him for ages....you might as well forget it that you will get him again when the current gf enter the scenes....

 

its very well spell that no matter whether you know him first or not.....you will never get the guy....he isnt even interested in you at all!

 

i mean even from the picture they shown....the girl was looking at the guy intently and all he notice was the books in front of him!

Ok - I am glad that the two sisters are out of the picture. Keyao is the boss, and it is very smart of Dr. Shao to ask her to come over. I feel that he was trying to make a hint to her that she should be his girlfriend. :-)))))

 

Though the sisters' plot is very cliche and a bit over the top, I like how our OTP handled this. There is transparency, maturity, and mutual understanding. If this is the plot they had to use to let us see how sweet out OTP is, so be it... 

 

My favorite scenes between the OTP are

- the one where XKL was resting his head on MK at the hallway of the hospital and told her: you are so good 

- the one after Keyao told the sisters off, and XKL went to apologize to MK. I think it is hard to translate the last part in English when MK said "hong hong wo", and hong means humour someone with nice words and make them happy (usually you use it with kids), so here she meant "say something nice to me and make me happy". XKL being a dork, he didn't know what to say and start to make train sounds "hong hong" in the end... because the pronunciations are similar

totally and also i like how KeLei ask KeYao for help to settle the two sister....and so glad they are out of the way....i think all of us had enough of them....

XKL and MK are also super adorbs. Love how they operate as a unit.  Also, I know much of these eps have surrounded the stupid, annoying sisters, but I gotta say.  I also loved how when Xiao Xia told MK about the pervert still talking her, her first reaction was to suggest that XX move in temporariliy, and then when XKL found out about the pervert his reaction was the same.  Just another example of their thoughtfulness and I love the care/concern they have for each others' friends.

They have a very cool sibling relationship

 

Really enjoying watch WB grovel to Xia.   Thank goodness too because it was painful watching her run after him.

 

I’m late joining the chat.  But have been peeking in. Trying to balance watching many dramas.

Finally the scheming sisters get the boot. Such a vomitous duo. At last their true colours were on public display and received the contempt their deserve. Thank God for Keyao (at least Kelei had the sense to call in the big gun) and I see her take down of them as the payoff for putting up with all their mean, petty rubbish. Glad that Mi Ka stood up for herself too after putting up with all the garbage for as long as she did.

 

Some pity for Xiao Xia for falling for a blockhead like Wenbo. Maybe she should take have taken his early rejection of her as a red flag quite frankly. Dear me. He even echoed what I said in a previous post: He didn't think he was good enough for her. *eye roll* Can this guy be more predictable or what? He's a nice enough and loyal, willing to take advice but it does beg the question if a smart girl like that can be happy long-term with a guy like this. Obviously this is just a rom com and all this is done in the spirit of humour but I have to wonder.

 

I still love the leads though. They make a lot of the tropey stuff that much more bearable. The chemistry aside, their interactions are really well written. I adore the way they support and prioritize each other. Rather than just being soul mates, they act as a team consistently. It's one of the best OTPs that have come out of the C dramaland. An antidote to the melodramatic dramas.
