Maybe more work on his hand placement too. Those were a bit awkward in the clip...I don't think they needed to be moved around that much. 😬

Taemu just needs to go all in for it like Sung Hoon did. Hahaha!

I realised they switched the story of second couple with the main couple. Differs from the manhwa. In the manhwa SH is the one iinvolved in the accident and YS dad didn’t approved SH with YS. In the drama its the other way round, TM accident and Grandpa disapproval of HR…

But I am happy with this.:wow:

Yes, and it's unfortunate because the scene where Haraboji walks into YS's dad's office to tell him off was pretty epic. YS's dad is worried that SH doesn't have money and Haraboji is all like, "His face is worth a million dollars!".

I also like Haraboji better in the manhwa. He was never against their relationship, but would purposely talk about it like he was just so they would hang out with him -- like go with him fishing, watching his dramas with him, etc. Haha!

Oh why are SH and YS crying?! :nervous:
I hope the script writer doesn’t keep changing the storyline from the manhwa.

True true! But did he? Or was she dressed the whole time hahahaha? I only saw the 2m clip.

Hahahaha we are still watching an SBS drama, not porn. Yes she's fully clothed. Only Yeong Seo had teased a little with showing skin. Kiss for 2m is quite long already... we'll just hope they show more in BTS :lmao2:

You mean to practice with him??

 we've watched one too many making out scenes.... for sure more than AHS.

@Chocolate I saw that part and thought he was touching her boobs as well, but on closer watch 🧐 his hand was at her back, just that the excessive fabric of her clothes got moved up, making it seems like some action was going on there.

Yeah. I thought @Chocolate would be "more" approved of this way. 😆😆😆

Yeah. I want her to stop replacing all men with HB. :brb:

I think this bed scene has a lot of skinship, much more than other romance OTP. Like the bit you guys saw where it looked like he had touched her boob. Even if he didn't, but he was close.

When he sat on the bed, his hand actually moved to her bum.

Lastly she was touching/caressing his skinny waist...

I added GIFs, but I don't want to show it

@Tofu @Rina Does Tae Mu have the (rain) trauma in the manhwa too?

finally got to watch last night’s episode and that last scene… :idk: emm…

I agree the scene before wasn’t quite the lead up to that. Felt like something was edited out. The last scene came out of nowhere. And… didn’t he injure his arm? It was in a splint which he so casually took off when he left the hospital without being officially discharged. So… if it wasn’t serious enough to warrant actually being warded, then we assume he was simply being quarantined by grandad. Still, if he had a splint on it, and it’s been barely a couple of days, how could he carry her and do all that?? I guess since this comes from a comic, we can suspend all logic…

Nope. I believe that is specific to the drama because I do not remember reading about it in the manhwa.

At this point in the drama, very little is from the manhwa (manhwa spoiler that's different from the drama in the spoiler tag).

Spoiler

Hari's parents knew a long time ago about their relationship and it was not because of the rumors at work. Taemu came over to help them with the chicken restaurant (around the time her dad was in the hospital).

The girlfriend of Minwoo was not like that, in fact, she only appeared once and they broke up after the dinner with Minwoo.

The accident was swapped. Sunghoon was trying to save Youngseo and got hurt. This was around the time her dad met with Sunghoon and strongly opposed their relationship. He saw Sunghoon as a nobody and did not want Youngseo dating him. At the hospital, Youngseo decided she was going to go talk to her dad about his conversation with Sunghoon. Haraboji was nearby and said he would go too. Youngseo's dad was talking badly about Sunghoon saying things like he has no money and is an orphan. Haraboji bust into the room and was being dramatic, making up a lie about how he is the son of Haraboji's secret son. Youngseo's dad was shocked and Haraboji laughed saying that it's not true, he just wanted to act out a scene like that. Haha! When Youngseo's dad talked about Sunghoon not having money, Haraboji said his face, alone, is worth a million dollars.

Going back to Hari's family, her younger brother has a crush on Youngseo and has always wanted her to recognize him as more than a little brother.

Haraboji is super cute in the manhwa and I'm a bit sad that they made him into a petty grumpy old man. He was never against their relationship and he never knew Hari before the fake identity. In the manhwa, they were supposed to meet but Hari got a black eye from fighting with her brother so she avoided Taemu for a week. Haraboji and Hari never got to meet because of that. When they did meet, Hari's parents already knew about the relationship. Haraboji love to dramatize situations so he purposely refused their relationship when he realized Hari would agree to hang out with him -- fishing, watching dramas, etc.

At the end of the manhwa, Taemu's business partner from New York returned. Haraboji tasked her with making one of them jealous so they will get married quickly. Sunghoon did not want to get married before Taemu so Youngseo was upset that Hari/Taemu wouldn't hurry it up.

There was another secretary (the one that replaced Sunghoon when he got into the accident) that had a small part in obstructing Taemu's/Hari's relationship, but it was brief and not memorable to me. I forgot all about it until I remembered the business partner went out for drinks with him at the end.

Anyway, Taemu and Hari got married at the end and they never called off their engagement.

They are both so natural and brought Youngseo and Sunghoon to live!

I finished! 12 episodes is just nice, or even 10 is enough since they changed some parts of the manhwa, which sounds more interesting actually. Once they got together, the back and forth got a bit boring for me.

My overall feelings:

-  Ahn Hyo Seop was a natural as a blind man in Lovers of the Red Sky 😂 but needs work in comedy. But I'll still watch him.

-  The lead's love scene was less hot than the second pair's take-off-spectacles scene, but, what is this?!

Spoiler

He definitely grabbed her ass 😱😂 What happened to manner hands? Thought it was an industry standard for all actors.

He may not have touched her boobs here but that was mighty close 😈

-  I found it odd that grandpa loves Sung Hoon, who is also a close friend of Tae Moo, and also quite intelligent, is consigned to being a secretary cum driver. They should have given him more opportunities and he could have been in management at the company. Then Young Seo's father may not disapprove of him so much. Of course, in real life, the PAs of the CEOs are powerful people too, but they do not stand next to their desk and drive them around. Plus Sung Hoon was impressed that Young Seo did not mind the child dirtying her clothes but Young Seo fell for his looks. There is no character trait shown that made her like him. The role could have been written better.

-  I liked the hospital scene where Hari visited grandpa when he faked his heart attack. She was her natural self, singing to that classic song, instead of pretending just to make him like her. I guess they summarised it here instead of showing grandpa and Hari going fishing, watching TV together as described in the manhwa.

-  To me, the LDR is nothing. TM had a genuine reason for going away and he offered to take her with him. It is also so easy to communicate these days and US is just a plane ride away. They could fly and see each other every month if they wished. So this LDR felt a bit "faked" to me just to create some angst.

-  Grandpa is one of the cutest parts of the drama. It would have been nice to see him surrounded by great grandchildren at the end, which was his wish.

And lastly, as gilaswan says:

Thanks @Tofu, for the summary of the manhwa! I think Haraboji is still cute in here - him trying to resist Hari at the hospital, hahaha! I just loved how excited he was able to show off about the fishes he caught with Hari and totally forgot he was supposed to "not" approve of her :lmao2:. I think he's a bit lonely too since Tae Mu doesn't entertain him that way. I also can attest to knowing old songs do help impress the oldies ~ I was singing oldies karaoke when I was with Dad visiting his old friends. They were all surprised and asked my dad how do I know these songs :eeeee: . Duh~ how can I not know when I've to listen to them since young & the only activities at every wedding they force me to go were having to listen to them/their friends singing karaoke. Ahhh, the things we get dragged to attend when we were children.

Anyway, back to Business Proposal - not much to say. It's a happy happy fairy-tales kind of ending. Agree with @abs-oluteM that the one year apart was unnecessary in the story! It really didn't add any value to the story-telling or any angst so no point whatsoever.

@Chocolate That's why I said there are a lot of "real" skinship in that kiss/bed scene. Even with her sitting/riding on him was a :pandawhat: coz soooo many on-screen OTPs avoided doing that (because...you know... too close to the ...), and like you said, the guys tend to still make sure they have manner hands during these kinds of scenes. BUT, I do believe the PD may also have a hand in editing too. For example the BTS of Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin's kitchen kissing scene was presented quite differently to the broadcast version. In the BTS, YSH's hands were on Soo Bin's back, moving up and down. However, the broadcast version changed to him locking his hands instead (manner hands, LOL).

I completed the show with subs. Still didn't see how the separation was needed but the reason he had to go seems legit. Anyhow they stuck it out together and gave us the happy ending we expected.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series -  yes even with all its clichés & old school rom-com tropes. I was just reading an article on Naver about how such a "childish" type show worked for the audience and brought in the viewership. I think what helped was the pacing and the short number of episodes. So story telling was tight and issues get resolved quickly.  It was nice to have two romances that were quite well developed played by a visually pleasing cast. The article also mentioned that the drama didn't spend too much time on the love triangle, something that was welcomed by local viewers.
