I'm the same! I feel more tired WFH n a weird way. I miss my 2 screens at work. My laptop is kinda small. And I miss friends and eating out/ shopping at lunchtime and after work. I agree - I do think that while we can't eliminate plastic althogether, there's lots of things that don't require plastic so we could mitigate the use of it to help protect the environment. I think even if consumers could change some habits consistently and make some demands of big corporations, it would protect the Earth tenfold

Hahaha I haven't adopted anyone lately! And my usual Oppas of many tiers seem to be in between projects or just finished projects. The last big adoption was Chae Jong hyeop who just finished 2 dramas. Jasper Liu is starting to be back with Fall in Love with a Scientist, but I reserve my feelings about the drama till I see the first few eps. Lee Jae wook is in early stages of filming, Lee Je Hoon did his two projects earlier this year and is directing a film....only Kim Seon Ho is currently active But so many people fan girl over him that I feel too lazy to repeat (also although I like him, he is S Tier Oppa, so less obsessed about him). 

 

But actually KSH and HIY are such good S Tier Oppas...they make me money in real life  The K-drama things I've sold all relate to KSH and HIY...but yet, I haven't promoted them to VIP tier yet in my heart. It sure is hard work to please me 

 

So I'm happy to learn about RJY...and then if too long like YY, I'll fly away and come back in time for @SilverMoonTea's next Oppa

Actually it's saddening how some news spread Lost's rating is low because he's ugly. Omg! 

 

He also seems quite religious (absolutely better than me 😅). And active in various charity. 

 

Before success he also work various part time. Okay this is an oppa that can be set as good example for young generation!

With photos, most people try to rely more on unofficial photos. There's a lot of makers out there and it's a lot of work/resources to bring court cases unless makers are making millions without agreements.... Taylor Swift once sent cease and desist letters to small fan merch makers from Etsy in 2015...but it made fans angry and now there's like 100 pages of Taylor Swift fan merch anyway on Etsy in 2021, so not sure that really worked?

I read the article and really respect him on what he said about his looks! He has his own inner self confidence and I think that makes him a better person. And being a better person makes him hotter?  

 

I think he's right too. A lot of actors who don't look as pretty or stand out with unusual looks can play roles better because sometimes you forget who they are as an actor and focus on their characters.

A brief translation:

 

LJH was waiting to pray with RJY because he wanted to pray last time. But RJY forgot/ didn't wait for LJH this time, so after LJH mentioned it, they did it together. RJY really likes the taste of the fried fish. LJH tells RJY the label of his hat is sticking out which RJY appreciates - the caption when they hi-5 says instead of being alone, it's the power of 2. LJH is also really into the fried fish which is apparently well  seasoned. LJH says that was the most satisying lunch. RJY wants to go get more fried fish, but can't coz the cat is under it - he asks LJH what he should do. They think the cat is so cute. when he gets out caption says successfully escaped without waking cat.

Hehe, I'm trying towatch little clips without subs, so I can read more Korean. Would love to practice speaking, but it's so hard  I know what you mean, variety shows can be a hit or a miss - sometimes you just want a storyline to follow!

@JenL @SilverMoonTea Traveller with JY and JH is not bad actually. Not extremely exciting but I quite like it! You can also learn more about the two of them from this show. JY likes to take lots of pictures and is obsessed with capturing the sunrise. JH although is a hyung, rely a lot on JY instead because he's less experience.

 

This show is where I learnt that JH is extremely thankful to Im Soo Jung when he was still a nobody/supporting actor in Finding Mr. Destiny (starring Im Soo Jung and Gong Yoo). Soo Jung made sure Je Hoon gets more exposure in a scene they were together.

I am glad to be watching it. It isn't a drama for everyone. The story can move along rather slowly and you have to be invested in the pairing to have patience with the show. But I do have an affinity for heavy melodramas. (e.g Secret Love Affair or the more recent Youth Of May) ...may be I like self torture! 

 

RJY isn't the classically handsome sort of oppa but I think he has his appeal. There's something particularly charismatic in how he plays Kang Jae. Kang Jae - he is what society would consider as an outcast since he doesn't hold a regular job, and does rather questionable things. But then you can't help but think how cool he is in the way he carries himself . That for me is what make RJY such a good actor here. 

 

Truth be told, I would love for Kim Seon Ho to play a heavy melodrama or at least a drama with more substance . I will be stoned if I mention this on twitter , but I feel he has yet to be in a work where he can say it's his life's character. Many are are excited who he gets paired with but I am actually more concern that he gets some really good roles in a well-written drama.  Lee Je Hoon for example - he has done a lot of unforgettable shows (Signal, Can You Speak, Tomorrow With You, Taxi Driver, Move To Heaven )  - he is always so good at choosing projects that has a lot of substance. Agree with @JenL that he deserves the recognition.

I usually like actors according to the role. So I change them quickly lol. As soon as the drama ends, I shift to the next actor in a new drama. If it is short, the favorite oppa lasts for 2 months. If long, he will last for 6 months 😊😊😊

Wow, that's really nice of Im Soo Jung. I find in life there's usually one person who really believes in you and gives you opportunities - maybe because you click or because they see something in you, but it's so nice when you hear about that happening for someone.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I think KSH is a good actor in his own right and I hope he gets to play more challenging roles one day. He's really capable of playing characters with a lot of heart, but I think people tend to focus on his romance and fangirl over that. Also, romantic films/dramas are often are trivialised although they shouldn't be either since they actually talk about something that is a part of most people's lives - the journey of finding a partner. But I guess sometimes they can be too fluffy and not look at other issues in life 

 

LJH is amazing at picking roles. I think he chooses roles that have a lot of heart and a lot of character development which mean challenges in acting. In fact all his roles are quite different - he's so cool/ funny in Taxi Driver  vs. very rule abiding/prickly in I Can Speak etc. The dramas/films also provide deeper insight into social issues or historical injustices.

Actually well said about KSH, his role need more depth to showcase more side of him. So far CTG, HCC are fun to watch, but felt not so memorable. Hence he fail to go into my oppa list 😅 (or maybe I have better self control now and not adopting everyone 🤣)

 

RJY role in Lost make me kept thinking about the story for few days, and in process I become curious about the actor himself. Sigh Hyeri, u're so lucky btw 😂

@abs-oluteM I agree with you about Kim Seon Ho. I think of all the roles I've seen him played, Han Ji Pyeong is still that one character standing out for me. Not to the point of life character but it was memorable performance - emphasis - not because he didn't get the girl. LOL. I saw a weibo post yesterday that he's not having a break in between projects and will go into 3 separate projects one after another (if all confirmed). 2 movies and 1 drama if my memory serves me right. So maybe one of these will be a representative role.

 

As for Lee Je Hoon, I think it took him a while to get to where he is now. His success really kicked in after MS rather than before, right? LJH's fans? And not always all his projects sell well on the box office but his recent two dramas are definitely a huge success. Did you guys watch Hong Gil Dong (movie)? I like that one too.

 

Don't stone me but actors like Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin and even Gong Yoo (I could name a few more but I don't want to die a horrible death) - I didn't think they are the good looking type of guys. Kim Woo Bin's teenage photos were quite shocking. But these three were extremely charming on screen. Gong Yoo when I didn't know him then (before watching him in Coffee Prince) I definitely didn't see the appeal. 😅 Now they are all one of my Oppas.  *RUNsssss

What is MS?

 

In terms of movies, I think it was Bleak Night that made everyone notice him. He did so well and the movie was really good. It came out around 2011 so the cinematography is a bit outdated compared to movies nowadays but I highly recommend this to anyone who's a new fan or an old fan that's never seen it. For dramas, Fashion King should never exist in his resume -- no one should watch this. LOL!! Secret Door was ok, it's not my favorite drama. He definitely hit it big with Signal (his drama that followed Secret Door). Not all of Lee Je Hoon's projects have been successful, but one thing I appreciate about him is that he's always trying something new and different. He is that one actor for me where I don't even look up the synopsis for the drama/movie, if I see that he's in it, I'm watching. Really, he should be my ultimate oppa because do you know how much time I've wasted on some of his not-so-great movies/dramas?!

Hahaha! Gong Yoo has always been handsome to me. I'm not into Kim Woo Bin or Lee Jong Suk. I don't think I have ever finished a drama with Lee Jong Suk (I would start and drop). For Kim Woo Bin, I have seen more of his movies than dramas. I think both are handsome but neither are oppas to me. 

 

But I do agreed that not all oppas are love at first sight. LOL!
