Those "period" gifs are so good! Amazing that the writer thought to include it. Now waiting to see what the Joseon pad looks like 😂 I thought the show would get more serious but it is still funny half-way through. Fantastic!

Tbh, I would say both of them are merging into one. During that loooooooooong kiss, there were time I feel it was JBH (example: when The Queen grabbed The King’s head and “kabedon” him) but there were time it was SoYong too especially in the beginning (dead fish kiss).

 

SY is obviously a chaste maiden so impossible she knows how to kisses well unlike the playboy JBH. So definitely those steamy French kiss was JBH....

 

SHS is superb as The Queen. Her expressions never fails to cracked me up every single time....

There are stark contrast between The Queen and The Royal Snake. The Queen is happily (with hidden personal agenda) selecting some additional concubines while The Royal Snake reacts jealously and starts to nags The King even though The King had explained that he has his own purposes for allowing additional concubines.

She is a good actress indeed. Not afraid to try different roles, even a shady unlikable one, which I appreciate in an actor/actress. Also when they are not afraid to uglify themselves. Have you watched “30 but 17”?

I must say the success of Mr Queen is largely due to her, but of course Kim Jung-hyun is doing very well too. Their chemistry and comedic timing is excellent. The romance is developing very nicely too - it's so sweet between them. At the back of my mind, I am still uneasy about Bong Hwan falling for the King (oh why didn't they make Bong Hwan a modern female chef??? - oh wait, then we lose the plot 🙄 stupid me) and wonder how it will end. But to enjoy the show, the key is not to think too hard! 😆

I noticed KJH easily got embarrasses when he has to do comedy. He cringes easily too unlike SHS who has no problems in doing even uglify expressions....Love them both!!

 

KJH is a good actor. I am watching Time and he is excellent. He does shady characters best.

Yes. Mr. Queen 's kitchen scenes are filmed at the Jewel at the Palace kitchen area of the park . It is the  first stop if you will tour this fantastic park.

It took me almost 6 hours to tour the park, that is doing it alone , with just a quick sandwich for lunch while strolling. I clocked in at 9 AM until past 2 PM in order not to miss the last bus . The park is famous for sageuk drama locations apart from DJG like  Queen Seon Deok, Moon Embracing the Sun, Haechi, Live Up to Your Name, Dongyi ,100 Days My Prince, etc.
